I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi brookenightingale

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

I think it is well over three years since I tried to find the first version of this cache, but it had disappeared and I had a DNF. CO replaced it a little while after that, but the DNF has remained on my map ever since. In fact until today I hadn't even realised that the current cache wasn't in the same physical location as the old one had been. I wanted to find a cache to fill a dot day and this one was close to home as well as being potentially a quick find.
As we walked towards GZ from the park I could see something that I suspected was the cache and it turned out to be more or less what I'd expected. I've found one of these once before, in Dunedin, and it isn't the sort of thing you'd expect to get muggled, even if a muggle spotted it. Anyway, I was able to surreptitiously retrieve the cache while pretending to tie my shoelace (lots of muggle cars going round the roundabout, but they'd all be concentrating on the road anyway, wouldn't they?) Having read previous log entries saying the log was full I had come prepared with a new one of what I hoped was the right size to replace it with, so I'd be able to sign my name. It turned out my log is thicker paper and wouldn't fit, but happily, when I unrolled the complete log scroll, I discovered that space #19 was empty, so signed there. By now Mrs B had retreated to the shade of a tree that was a bit further down the road as the heat was pouring off the footpath and we were baking in both the sun and the reflected heat. So I joined her down there after signing, cooled down a little while I rerolled the log scroll, then replaced the cache on our way back past a few minutes later. My word, my shoelace had come undone again Smile.
Thanks for the cache brookenightingale.

Out caching with Gr33nslime today. I drove while she navigated. We ended up doing a complete lap of the round about before Gr33nslime honed in on the likely GZ. While I manned the car she nipped over to the hide location and returned pretty quickly with the cleverly hidden cache. Having seen these before it was quick to locate and once Gr33nslime had signed the log in the tiny container we had it back in place and were on our way in no time. Thanks for the cache. Not a place I usually come past but it was good to have the excuse today to pop around here.

# 1523 Not too far out of my way today to grab this one. I realised where it would be hiding on approach. For some reason I though it would be hidden on the roundabout but no. Guess this one will need to be moved or archived soon with the new rules that disallow caches to be attached to power and utility boxes. Liked the container though. All good inside although there are only four of five spots left on the log sheet so it will need to be replaced shortly.

Lovely paint work here. Found here today with stik-a-crane, sethraven, NZTravellers, agazo, tramyard and phillipperry. The cache container was quickly found and then the log extraction attempt began. It took a number of us trying using various tools of the trade but we eventually managed to retrieve the log and sign. We wound it a bit tighter and hopefully it will be easier to remove for future finders.

After a nearby puzzle final we came down here to see if we could find this traditional cache and it was a good thing we did. You'd think by now we wouldn't be fooled by hides like this but it's amazing how you can miss things when you're looking for certain types of hide. On a second pass we got the hide no trouble.

That was just the right amount of time to catch a new AR puzzle being released and we were off to see that. Good timing as we got the FTF on that.

Thanks for the cache, all good here.

WENZ Mega Weekend is finally here... After experiencing broken sleep at our accommodation, it was time to pull it together and get out there... With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and NZFlossy...

Saturday: We had meant to make a turn earlier, but overshot and ended up alongside this ground zone. No matter... A quick find. TFTC.

This was the seventh day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega: The big day of the Mega. Even though there were several Geocaching things to do, I decided to try for eleven types in one day.
A number of Auckland cachers joined together after the flash mob and got this one. TFTC.

Team BOP have descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA. We have a lot of caches to get through so there isn’t a lot of down time but it's great to meet the locals, CO’s and fellow cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. Lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and to all the CO’s that made this a memorable trip Smile

I do enjoy these containers although it appears to be slightly smaller then usual which wasa hassle when it came to re-rolling the log haha.

Day 1 of Wellington Mega
Today's mission was to register, collect lab caches, other events and hopefully 11 different cache types in 1 day.
Tall order but we made it with a few minutes to spare.
We also collected other caches that we had solved prior to coming.
Turned into a bit of a day so sorry for the copy and paste of logs.
Thanks to the cache owners for the placement of these caches.
Looking at the greater picture of the Wellington area we have only scratched the surface so will be back at some stage. SLTFTC

Great time to catch up with other cachers and visit Wellington lLots of fun and laughs while finding lots of great caches Thanks to all the COs for providing all the caches and the work that goes into them. Down here for the WENZ Mega and I have been travelling around today with others I know as they have set themselves a goal for today and this meant that we are in 2 cars not 4. Find quickly made by Tramyard and it took a while to extract the log sheet but eventually it was out and Mrs HeMaLuDy listed us all on it and she took a bit off the end so that it would fit back into the container a little better to make extraction easier for others to come . . . . . TFTC

In Wellington for the MEGA event and had a great time! Congratulations to the MEGA team for putting on such a great event and thanks to all the cache owners for the great caches. We cached with Sethraven, HeMaLuDy and Stikacrane today and had great fun driving around the place grabbing caches and attending events.
Teamed up with still more Auckland cachers and Tramyard made the find. Took more time trying to get the log book out of the cache, we finally extracted it with surgical persistence!
TFTC!

Attending the Wellington MEGA, was great to visit from the sunny Bay of Plenty, my finds have been found with my team, and signed TEAM BOP, to save room on logs. We are really enjoying ourselves and its great to see so many different sights. Please excuse my generic logging in advance and there are sooo many logs to do. Many thanks to all you cache owners out there for all your hard work. Cheers.

Down for the MEGA in Upper Hutt, Wellington, with a group, SethRaven, NZTravellers, HeMaLuDy, caching around the area.

Logs individually signed as "stik-a-crane" or "SAC" if space/time was short .
Time for the official photo celebrating the MEGA..

..thought the events were well managed considering a good sized turn out to the MEGA.

Thanks to all the CO"s for maintaining their caches ready for the onslaught...…

Signing the log tended to be the real challenge here....

What an awesome day for caching, began the weekend after work on Friday and headed to Feilding to pick up the other half of the geocaching team. Heading off around 5.15pm. Getting a few caches Friday night before resting at our accomodation in paraparaumu beach for the night. Got up this morning at 5:30am ready to get our goal for the day being the rest of our 250 caches in February that we missed out on last year. We set off getting this cache as the first 1 of the day.

Went past what i had a gut feeling of a couple of times, silly me should have just listened to my gut in the first place, once i did i soon made the find. Signed the log and placed the cache back exactly as we found it. Thanks for the cache.

I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
After staying at Greytown and spending another day in the Wairarapa, it was time to head to The Hutt area.
I met up with Footsiefat at this geocache.

Approaching this cache down the road I looked across towards G Z and immediately got the hint, a throwback to the adverts in the UK for Nimble bread, anbd the accompanying advert! Parked up and headed across and soon had the cache in hand a sa a family of muggles passed, replaced and covered as best I could with the limited camo.

After a long day in class for the course I am currently on it was heartening to see that the South Island sun has followed me across the Strait (at last) and was beaming it's big yellow warmth across the damp and sodden Wellington area.Heading out ina vehicle lent to me by a very kind friend I had a mixed bag of target caches including the two nearby Earthcaches, a couple of solved puzzles as well as anything that I would be 'passing'. Quite an eclectic bag of finds, a down and dirty dozen and a maccas for dinner.

A nice easy find. The magnet has become displaced in the container and so the cache only just sticks to its host object. I couldn't re-orientate the magnet so, although I have replaced the cache as I found it, it has every possibility of falling off. it might be worth a little CO love.

TFTC.

24-Apr-17
Magnet has come loose and cache won't stick in place as intended.

24-Apr-17
I had found the other caches around Totara Park that I was going for today so stopped by on the way out to grab this one. Followed the GPS and found that I was heading towards a classic urban hide location. Quickly found the cache and found like others that it's no longer the "classic" type of container, but I was still able to place back the way I found it. TFTC

23-Apr-17
The GPS led me pretty much directly to what has become a classic hiding spot. However the cache was just lying on the ground and upon opening the reason revealed itself. The magnet has come loose and is no longer in a location that lends itself to sticking the cache to its host. I couldn't really repair it on the spot so sort of rehid as best I could. TFTC.
