I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi wb1116

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

If I'm looking at the correct tree it has had a lot of branches chopped off recently. Tried to find the cache amongst the branches on the ground but no luck

07-Mar-20
Sadly DNF. Perhaps lost as it seems some branches have been lopped off the surrounding trees. Lovely walk though!

# 1533 Most of my caching is done under the cover of darkness these days while the dangerBOY is in bed. This was a fun mission and for some reason reminded me of patrolling through waiouru training area in the middle of the night using only the full moon as light. Turns out I wasnt on the main track and only realised that when I found the well trodden path. Cache took a bit of finding under the beam of a head torch. All good inside here. Cheers trails trails trails, second of yours I have found this weekend! Saving the rest on this path for later.

I have finished the true-left part of the Māwaihākona Stream loop trail, and have crossed over to the other side. This was my fifth find so far today, and was a reasonably quick find. All good. That's my fifth for the day and fifth by trails trails trails - thanks for another good one!

Well, that was weird. I thought there was something very familiar about this one, and on finding and reading the log, i found my name on it from a little over a year ago. Apparently I forgot to record the log last time, so I signed it again and remembered to enter it this time. All safe and dry here. TFTC.

Find #2957. An epic day of cycling and geocaching in the Upper Hutt Region, attempting to capture as many remaining Traditional caches as possible to clear the map. Started at Petone, catching the Wairarapa train with the bike, for a pleasant 25min and inexpensive $6.50 journey, alighting at Maymorn Station. Cycled some 40km in often 26 degree plus heat, returning to Petone via the general route of the Hutt River Trail but with many deviations. Particularly enjoyed the upgraded sections of cycle trail, smooth asphalt where once there was gravel.

One of the main focuses of this entire day was to complete the walk along the Mawaihakona Stream and find all the caches. I was prepared to park the bike and walk the distance but thankfully the trails were very cyclable as walking them would have taken some time with the back tracking I had to do and in this heat. I stopped at this first one to refresh with food and water under the shade of the tree.

If you stand in just the right spot, it is an easy find. No trouble today. SL TFTC

Team BOP have descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA. We have a lot of caches to get through so there isn’t a lot of down time but it's great to meet the locals, CO’s and fellow cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. Lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and to all the CO’s that made this a memorable trip Smile

Tftc. Enjoyed this wee loop track today while in the area for the mega.

Attending the Wellington MEGA, great to visit here from the sunny Bay of Plenty, these finds have been found with my team members, which include myself, NZ Flossy, Davidson Clan, Squirrel Nutcase, FapandGap, TNXPRO and Philip.Perry and signed Team BOP. (To save room on logs) We are having a blast and gathering lots of smileys along the way. Please excuse generic logs in advance. (as I have saved the template using Cachly) Many Thanks to all you cache owners for the placements. Cheers

I am planning a short daily streak in this area to clear up all the caches that I didn't find last time I was visiting this area. I will be up here first thing in the morning for the next few days!

I don't know why but I spent ages looking for this one last time I was up here and eventually gave up. Maybe its in a different position now because it didn't take any time to find today.

The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.

Thank you

Made short work of this one after reading the hint. TFTC this one sure looks waterproof

Cache # 4,153 - a quick stroll this morning to a now familiar locaation. Cache nicely situated and quickly found. All good there. Memorable part about today was seeing someone go into the stream back in the park with gumboots and start picking plants. I though he might be a DOC worker measuirng water quality, but tuerned out to be someone collecting watercress for salads. Smile TNLNSL. TFTC. I am a bit sad that I won't be coming back to this lovely place for more caches, as I have now cleared it. But perhaps there may be more in the future?

Consecutive caching day # 1,733

I was struggling a bit with making the find, but with the very detailed instructions in the hint, the cache was soon in hand. Reading the past logs it sounds like the previous hide was a unique contraption and I'm sorry I missed it. TFTC

As the physical puzzle has disappeared twice I'm replacing with a cammoed screw-top, cheers.

Yes, the cache has disappeared again. I'll replace one more time but it's not a simple setup so if it happens again, I'll Archive. Cheers

Saw this one as disabled, but not for any fault of the cache but rather the new placement. So off I set this morning for what I hoped to be a fun time with the field puzzle. Located the noted tool fairly quickly, enabled it for use, but no matter how much I searched I could not find the container anywhere. Had a very good sense of what I was looking for, and the hint makes perfect sense. Wonder if CO has removed it for placement elsewhere, or if it has simply gone walkabout again? Will watch and see when re-enabled. At least it was a lovely walk this morning.

Moved cache slightly as the dead tree to which it was attached was trampled by a be-sprigged rugby team on their way to practice on the nearby sports-field. Cheers.

All good to go

Sunk - The cache and contraption have disappeared. I'll reconstruct and replace slightly off the track. Cheers

Thanks so much for this cache as it provided some fun on a wet, grey day. I have seen caches like this online, but this is the first I have actually had to do. It was also a great place to be playing in the mud on my mountain bike.

Out tidying up a few caches around Upper Hutt this evening. My word, this area has changed since I spent my teen years living very nearby. Great to see the plantings in place now. I didn't know the stream's proper name, we all just called it the Silverstream.

A most enjoyable visit to the Māwaihākona Stream mini trail this evening, and I found all six without any difficulty. This small area will certainly be a wee gem in years to come as the plantings start to mature. The map was much appreciated and was a great help in choosing the correct path to each cache, thank you.
