Our last day on the South Island. We use the time and go for a walk to enjoy the beautiful view. Of course, we collect a few cans. Almost all the log sheets are full! Many thanks to the owners and greetings from the Moorhelmi from Germany
Day thirty of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.Spent the day traveling from Nelson to Picton.Sunny all day.Walked around the Airport at Nelson before we left, and did a few AdLabs.Had dinner in Picton then did some more caches.Picked up on the way down the hill as there was no parking going up.Thanks, Robmc.
Day 30 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and today we decided to leave Nelson a day early and be in Picton for the ferry instead of an early morning dash. After arriving on a beautiful sunny day we wandered around town for a bit. Thanks for contributing to an amazing holiday

After many, many hours of flying, a passage through China on the way there and through the United States of America on the way back, we will finally arrive in Christchurch which will be the starting point of our journey. We will enjoy the beaches of the Pacific Ocean and we will go back towards the North Island via State Highway 1. To combine business with pleasure, we will take regular breaks and small detours according to the caches that seem the most accessible to us.With a little more than 3500 km in 20 days, we will have discovered many facets of this island which is soothing. We will have to come back because there are so many places that we have not done . In broad strokes, the path will go from Christchurch to the Kaikoura Peninsula then towards Picton for the crossing to Wellington.New island, new road, and by State Highway 2 we go towards Hastings and Napier. We will leave the seaside for several days to go to Tongariro and Taupo. We will continue north towards Rotorua and Hamilton (without forgetting a detour via Hobbiton ) A detour to the Coromandel Peninsula and finally the almost north of the island with Whangarei and Waitangi to learn the history of this country. There will only be a few days left to spend towards Auckland and its suburbs before taking the plane back to the grayness of our European autumn. The majority of the boxes will be found, we have abandoned those where our English was lacking and where we could not understand the clue. Thanks to all the owners who brightened up our path, who took us to incredible places (that's also geocaching)In short, we had a great vacation, saw beautiful places that simply ask us to come back. We learned a lot about the history of this country and its traditions, it's a great motivation for our destinations.-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Petit log en retard mais un peu plus complet maintenant que nous sommes rentrs la maison. Having just arrived in Picton, it was straight off the ferry and into geocaching mode!I've been meaning to come up this way many times while traveling through, but never seem to have the time. Today we had plenty of time!We parked a little further up and wandered down to this one. Fortunately I finished the job just before a muggle ambled past. Thanks for putting this here
#15,538. Park, walk and grab along Queen Charlotte Drive in Picton in Marlborough. The GZ was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a short search, initially on the wrong side. The cache itself was in good condition, but the log was wet inside. Managed to sign on the last space of the waterproof log paper. Had parked overnight at the Crow Tavern after catching the ferry from WN yesterday. Headed out for a bike ride to collect some local caches, nice easy find here mid morning while it was nice and quiet, TFTC
On our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia we travel from Greymouth to Picton. We visited a number of caches along the way and when we arrived there was still plenty of time for a cache tour around the hotel. This cache was found during our walk around the hotel in Picton.**bumandworker**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Signapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. Yesterday we drove from Fox Glacier to Greymouth. Today we are already heading to our next desination which is Picton. Since it is not a very long drive we arrived rather early in Picton which gave us time for some sightseeing and geocaching. On our tour we also visited this cache. Nice spot and in the evening is quiet so we could grab the cache and log it undisturbed. Thank you very much for this cache.
TFTC We did a little walk to find this and another further up the hill. This was easier.
A couple more south island caches before catching the ferry later today. Good harbour views here.

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we took the ferry via Marlborough Sonds to Picton and then the bus from Picton to Blenheim. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.

Fourth day in New Zealand ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary country and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. After a stopover in Qatar and 8 days in Australia, our journey continued from Auckland to Queenstown with various stopovers.Today we took the ferry to the South Island. When we arrived in Picton, we had to wait for our bus to arrive to take us onwards. This gave us a little time to explore the town and look for a few caches. We had to use the path down the hill anyway to answer the questions for the virtual one. So we were also able to search for this tradi, find it and enter our names in the logbook. Thank you for laying & taking care .Vierter Tag in Neuseeland ??.

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.
During our trip through New Zealand while waiting for the crossing to the North Island, we still had time for a few geocaches. Thank you very much to CO for making this available. With a friendly Dutch geocach greeting.
As the drizzle had eased off a bit, Andy decided to walk up the track to the lookout where I would meet him. A nice easy find here. tftc#7099
**19,952**We had to wait out a couple of bikes pushing hard uphill before going in for this cache find. Mr Geckoh watched a bit wistfully as he wouldve liked to have had his bike with him. mr Geckoh required a bit of hand holding on this one. So found easily once in right spot. TFTC
Filling in time before checking in for the ferry. Parked above and walked down. Had to look in a couple of places before locating it. TFTC
GREAT view on this one. Glad I made the walk and miffed I couldn't go further on cause the weather was turning. What a great spot. TFTC.
10 finds in one day as I'm aiming to heighten my New Zealand total. Now it's time to catch the ferry to Wellington on this wet day. TFTC

I was on a cruise around New Zealand on the Noordam with my sister, Piney Wood Walkers, my brother, Cloiud9Hikers and their spouses. We were in Picton for the day with nothing to do but explore the city by caching. My favorite kind of shore excursion. Greetings from Minnesota MN.

Here we had to have a very close look till the cache was discovered. Looots of green…. But we managed it! Thanks!
Bumblebee day again. I had been thinking during the week that a loop round Queen Charlotte was due again. It is still a mess after the recent couple of weather events so I knew it would be a stop-start mission. Might as well cache along the way. This was the fourth stop but only third find. Seems someone has missed the curvy bit of road on the way up the hill and ploughed into the cycleway bridge. Luckily the CO had hidden well enough under to save it from being driven through.
Everything was quite wet from the rain, so I didn't relish the idea of diving in to find the cx. Fortunately, I was able to descend just the right amount to be able to reach the cx. TFTC.
Beautiful day to be out walking. Getting some geos on the walk is always a bonus. Thank you
Since my original plan of being in Auckland this long weekend is not possible, I decided to head South for a couple of days. Took the ferry from Wellington yesterday morning, picked up a cheap rental, and off I went. I was targeting some specific caches for a personal goal as well as some fun mystery solves and some just 'cos. This was one of them.

Bypassing here and with no traffic, either vehiclular or walkers, its a good time to stop off here. Replaced the damp log here with a temp WITR log to help it along. Cheers
Heading on a geo adventure with BCD to the top of the South Island...Picton, Blenheim, Havelock and Nelson.

It had been raining most of the day but it eased off later and we could get out on our bikes for a quick look around and some exercise. Really enjoyed coming up here for the view. TFTC
On our way up to the lookout and this one is on the way. It would be rude not to stop and pick it up. It looks like there as been a car over the bank here recently!
Z12 for the find. Mum & Z also trying to complete a virtual cache

In the South Island from Tauranga on a six week holiday and now following the PWGT. I hope to have the tour completed before I get home. Today is a day in Picton to gather a few extra smileys. Nicely concealed.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

No a bad view from here but had to dodge runners and bikers today. Terrain rating maybe bit low as the broom makes it difficult to access and it's a long way down. Thanks for the placement bumandworker
I found it difficult to get an accurate fix ..it seems to be about 7 m.out....and really 1.5 T hmmm I don't think so..Maybe a site visit would be in order..cache found all good and dry ..thanks
Doing a road trip as I have to wait for my villa to be refurbished. What better way than doing a road trip geocaching. Thanks for placing and maintaining.
Not to be my day at this one

No luck here for me, and the rain intensified, so I continued up. Quick check on the return journey was not much of an improvement, and I left it for another day.
Returned to this one after not finding last year. The previous log was very helpful, bush bashed in a bit further out of sight and found this well hidden one. Thanks b&w.
Out and about in Picton for a couple of days. Went for a short walk to collect this one. Eventually located and sign the log. TFTC
On a 3 week geocaching trip with woolwood9 around the top of the South Island.
Thanks for the reason to visit this location and for the cache.
*Very nice find for us here*
SL **tm/ww NZ**, but may appear as a black smudge on the many wet logs or plastic log strips.

Dropped a trackable. Larger than cache, though magnetic helped keep its position. Merry Xmas to ye who finds! - V²
