Co ordinates put us on the other side of the road, but after a fruitless search we crossed over & found the cache straightaway. Thanks for placing.
Busy road but obvious spot - coordinates will jump around. Think like a geocacher. TFTC
Day 8 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today our tour is going from Punakaiki to Nelson. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

#11,301. I stayed overnight in Murchison and drove through to Westport this morning to meet a work colleague. We are heading down to Punakaiki today. After picking her up at the airport and getting breakfast in town we headed south. This was the first stop for some roadside caches on the way south. Nice quick find here. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks weenz for hiding it here.
Found between showers on our journey from Westport to Punakaiki.
All good here. TFTC

Heading down SH 6 to Greymouth this afternoon. One of New Zealand's great coastal drives. Really good to be here again today after a long absence. No worries here. TFTC
Such lovely bush here. The log was a bit damp but I could still write in it. Cache is otherwise good. TFTC
Found with NZDi. We are staying at Carters Beach Holiday Camp as a base for a few days geocaching on the Wet Coast. Todays plan is to head to Greymouth picking up as many roadside PnGs as we can, with a few more interesting excursions thrown into the mix.
This is our second cache of the day, and was another weenz random roadside cache highlighting a roadside feature that was collected just for the numbers.
From personal experience, this type of cache pretty much looks after itself and requires little maintenance which was the case with this.

*Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!*
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather was quite bad again with several heavy showers of rain
*We soon had another good cache located!*

We did all we wanted around Greymouth and now we are on our way to Westport. We had a list of all the caches on the road north. Yay Mrs S makes the find here. Maybe her eyes aren't painted on after all.
Thanks weenz.
Thanks weenz.
**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**

22195 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we went from Greymouth to Nelson, via Punkaiki and we had all day, so we made many stops. Allong the road we found many caches, but we also visited the Pancaces and Windholes. The caches brought us to many special remarkable places.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Muggles did not watch what we were doing.
weenz TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

A quick find here as the weather packs in on a trip down the coast to our goal of Hokitika. Thanks for the cache weenz.
Today was day one of 7 on a trip around the South Island for Jo and I, and the first leg is Blenheim to Hokitika. An early start and on our road trip we targeted caches after St Arnaud. That was the desired plan, but necessitated by the fact it was still dark as we drove through there anyway. After that it was pretty much find anything on our side of the road as we drove west, but as we moved on we set goals to be in certain towns by certain times, so skipped large chunks. The weather changed from light drizzle to full on rain, which also scuppered some plans on targeted caches and left us cold and wet for most of the trip.
But all up a good day.
Jo used to live in these parts, but hasn’t been here for about 16 years; for me it has been about 13 since a trip down here. So we enjoyed the scenery, and the changes, and also the caches so credit and thanks to all the COs for maintaining these.

First up I was awake on pre daylight saving hours and awake at 5.15 and ready to go. Way too early for that sort of stuff so after a pre-pack of my gear and, after another Maccas breakfast, I grabbed a few in the early morning haze.
Day 3 of the West Coast trip and the day to head back to sunny Marlborough. I'd been tracking the weather forecast all week and today was supposed to be showers for most of the day so the plan was to find as many caches before the weather set in for a spell so I decided that a concerted effort on a few more Greymouth caches was required before heading back home via Pancake Rocks and Westport. I'd travelled that road a few times before, but still had some patches of unfinished business here and there. As it was I got home just about on dark but with a pleasing haul of another 30-plus caches which made my first 3 days of April as prolific as my first 3 months of 2018!
Will try and log specific experiences where I recall them, otherwise it's thanks to the efforts of all COs for their placements.
Easter weekend 2018 is here and I have a cunning plan. Well, a caching plan, but what's the difference? With mrs and daughter working over the weekend and me with a few days off work there was a chance to convert some of my solved puzzles over on the West Coast into smiley faces. And add to my West Coast caching total. And do the Point Elizabeth walk, and several other appealing strolls. And some other stuff and all the way along gaining extra points for the planetary Challenge thingy to gain some electronic 2D Geo-souvenirs. And so, setting off around 0730 on Easter Sunday with the trusty mountain bike aboard (for the Greymouth beach-side track) I clocked up just under 1000 kms by road, a few extra on 2 wheels and several more on 2 feet, quite the trip. The threatened rain only arrived on the second afternoon in Hokitika (by which time I'd done my walks for the day) and the drive back from Greymouth via Westport was in blazing Autumn sunshine - Beautiful. Fantastic scenery all around and a large number of caches from b&w and gracie7&mum helped the total to just over 180 finds.
An awesome few days which my family wouldn't have enjoyed, but conversely actually would have, for the most part. An FTF in Reefton on the way through on Day 1 was another bonus, and monkey off the back for the monthly streak. A few DNFs which is to be expected with that many looked for, but a lot of good sights and experiences too. Thanks to all the COs for their placements.

Heading from Greymouth to Westport today and finding a few caches. A quick find here - signed log, TFTC!
Our apologies for the delay in posting our log. Things have got a little out of hand recently & the backlog has become rather more of a "log jam".
Our thanks to weenz for placing this cache for us to find (or occasionally not) on 08/11/2017. Further details (for earthcaches & the like) will be supplied to the CO once the jam has cleared.
Actually we had an ulterior motive for stopping here & nabbing this find as it was our closest approach (latitude wise) to the Tardis "home cache" (S41° 52.633 E148° 18.349). Longitude makes ALL the difference as this is nothing like our home! The things we do caching
