Can’t find ??????

06-Oct-22
Cache stump has disintegrated and there is nowhere nearby to place a cache. Perhaps another cache somewhere else - it is a very large park. Future will tell.

Out and about collecting smilies to gain some elevation to help "Reach the Peak" for this month in the new souvenir series.

Made this one a quick grab, I was a bit nervous about lingering close to the nearby residence at this time of day. Log for this one is damp, as others have mentioned.

Find #11335 @ 07:40
Thanks RoddyC for giving us a reason to visit.

Paper wet. Miss 10 missed it. I said, "Remember it is a Roddy C one." She then knew she was to look for something devious.

12-Jul-21
I’m going to log a NM here and not because of the attack plovers guarding the cache…

I found the cache upside down and I believe this has allowed water to gain entry… the log therefore is damp… I attempted to blow out the container giving myself a fave full of dust… and the aforementioned killer plovers made it hard to give the log anything more than a cursory amount of time in the sun…

Another bespoke RoddyC creation… tftc…

Snaffled this one after a net session with mates at the cricket club opposite.
I am not a wicketkeeper but this cache still meant I could claim a stumping!

This cache was quickly found after a walk across the fields.

Found while on a geocaching holiday with tmann421.
Enjoyed the trip around and all the great hides.
Stamped TM/WW NZ, or if in pen our full names

I think this is about the last of the Parks and Recreation Series of caches we did - we enjoyed them all and wish I had targeted more of them.

Thanks for the nice series.

Visiting some friends nearby whilst the daughter car is serviced by him, took a walk around the vicinity to collect a cache or two. Zeroed in and put my hand right on it! Nice work. Tftc

We originally overshot the mark and then realized while chatting we had walked to the wrong side of the water sitting near GZ, back around the other side and a quick find was made! Another clever container so a FP from me!

Today’s plan was to get a few caches to accumulate more of the souvenirs available for the Hidden Creatures challenge. Met up with gunnie69 at Logan Central to continue our plan for the day. The journey today made our way form Logan Central down to the Loganholme Hyperdome.

Cache 24 of 27 for the day.

Thanks RoddyC for the hunt and the cache! Big Grin

Few hiding options at GZ so it didn't take long for the container to come to hand after Ghostgums and I arrived. Another finicky log, so an extraction tool was required to ensure we could add our names to the list.

With that done and the container back in place, we continued on to grab the last few.

Cheers RoddyC.

Heading south to do a little grand-parenting & we thought we'd clear a few green smudges off our map along the way. Smile
So glad we leave a few scattered around so we don't have to travel too far for a quick cache or four! Smile
Our last for this morning & another nice quick find.
The log was quite damp, dried as best I could but it tore as I was relacing, right through our name! Sad
Would probably benefit from a fresh, dry log.
Sorry, nothing on board to help out. Sad
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Good one. I missed it though the young boy had no problems

09-Jun-18
This was a compensatory stop on the way home from a meeting that had prevented me from caching on with the flash mobbers in the afternoon. People were out walking dogs so I had a bit of a wander around until they were gone and then zoomed into GZ under the cover of dusk. All well with this cache. TFTC RoddyCs Smile

Out with joojoo57 for a day of caching in the area. GPS had us looking at other places but finally settled on one place. Found it eventually. All good with this cache.

Found on 5 January 2018. TFTC, RoddyC.

Over visiting from NZ and had just a couple of hours this morning, before heading off south, so what better to do, than look for some RoddyC caches close to our accommodation, as I had really enjoyed finding some others by this CO earlier in our trip.

Third one this morning was this one. I managed to negotiate the maze of dead end streets around here and ended up at the Oak St end of the park. I made my way to the most obvious GZ area and quickly found the well hidden cache. Another nice one thx. TFTC

Sunday Afternoon park crawl thanks to parks and recreation series. First stop. Kids scurried to play and I followed GPS to friendly looking host. Great container. TFTC. Grand old tree nearby .

Had an aborted trip to the Gold Coast to visit friends after sitting in traffic for 3 hrs due to the M1 being closed due to a truck rolling and catching fire!!!! What to do once we turned around but find some caches!! Found at 12.36pm. Loved the container. TFTG RoddyC.

First of 12 finds for the day.
We were so busy chatting and catching up that we walked over the two bridges and had to come back. As we approach caches we like to state where we think they will be. Geofriend was spot on this time and quickly came up with the goods...which was just as well seeing how close we were to a house.
Thanks for the clever cache Roddy C.

Gotcha !!! Gotcha !!! Gotcha !!! Gotcha !!! Gotcha !!! Promised the CO a longer log on his finds. TFTC

23-Jun-17
Had some spare time this morning, so off to find a few caches, parked up and started heading to towards cache only to find I didn't have a pen on me so a double back and continued. got to the spot on my phone then lag kicked in and i'm a few feet off target and hum it couldn't be that simple, a quick spin around and bingo found, signed the log, replaced and left.
Nice hide, tftc

15-Jun-17
I had to venture out to the shops, so I threw the caching kit in the geomobile and did a little bit of hunting on the way home.

This was my first stop. A few possibilities on approach, but the GPSr was pretty certain which one it wanted. Smile

Nice one. Found out with Logan SES.

10-Apr-17
I took the long way to get to this one across the football fields and then across the drain. Luckily the water isn't flowing as much as it would have been recently as I could easily jump over it.

I was surprised that the GPS was leading me close to the neighbours fence and then it pointed a bit further away. I quickly spotted the cache but I was still concerned that I would be in full view from the window nearby as I signed the log and replaced the cache.

I have actually been to this park before and today I shared it with the electricity people doing I know not what and a real big bunch of plovers so we are glad we don't have to come back in nesting season. Nice cache. TFTC

Hmmmm?
Not sure what happened with this cache.
We had saved the GC for when we were in the area but when we punched it in to 3 different phone apps (iPhone & Android) it just didn't show anything.
All we got was a message saying 'Invalid code' & 'No Results. No geocaches were found.'
It's still happening 3 days later.
