After a second 'no find' I decided to pay the site a visit. Unfortunately the cache has ceased to be - I might replace it with a micro cache nearby in the future.

Above note explains why we couldn't find it either, Skippy and Lambchops were with us. Thanks Geojo, we amused the nosy neighbours with our fruitless search.

Thought I'd have a shot at this one while at the Cattery with the folks over Christmas, especially as it was a one star difficulty. Although Geko showed that I was right on GZ (0.00 m with a 5 m accuracy), a twenty minute search proved fruitless [B)]. I'm starting to think that Geelong caches aren't possible Red Face or maybe the party is over!!!

Maybe a second shot at "Barwon Banks" might be more encouraging ...

A new team on our very 1st Geocaching outing. This was the 3rd of 3 Caches we decided to look for around Geelong that day. Was feeling a bit discouraged, after failing to locate the first 2 caches. Didnt really need a GPS to find this site, given that i grew up in the area i pretty much knew where we'd be going on this one. As we arrived, the heavens opened up, so didnt bother to go searching for the cache. Will revisit soon.

OK this would have to be the easiest find of the day. Drove right up to it and it was in the first place I looked. Fortunately no-one around today. Great views. Pity Geelong city is now obscured by trees though.
Thanks GeoJo. Left a travelling globe here.

Found by the mighty Ibis Team, Me, Myself and I.
The GPS put me right on top of it. Had a tinnie at the party. Nothing exchanged. Nice View. Thanks

Our gps took us all over the place, then finally settled down. Alan-san yelled out he found it. So I searched for another 5 mins and found it. What a nice bright container. Found at 1450. Swapped a party animal (bear) for a frog.
Thanks GeoJo for another great cache. We are seeing a lot of Geelong and it's fantastic.

Found at 2:50pm, with Kiwideb and Muzza after a short 4 or 5 minute search. I think we must have got there after the party had finished, but still enjoyed the magnificent views. Swapped nothing out, but left a glow in the dark star.

Quick visit out to the cache this morning. Replaced the information page, and put a new logbook in (pages from the old logbook have been added). Also removed a couple of water-damaged items and added a couple of extra toys.

Please make sure the lid of the cache is on properly (need to push it down ~ 3 times to stick) and add camouflage when replacing!

1st find- My brother found this cache and we wondered what it was, I managed to read the internet address (cache was full of water and the note was all mush!!!)to find this fantastic game! So i am now off to buy a gps and have some fun. Ive traded the plastic water proof bag with a new one (it still needs a new note)

Our recruits for the day actually found this one. Unfortunately the contents was quite wet. It's amazing something so bright could be hiding so well. Thanks and Well done Geo Jo.

This cache was very easy to find - it was out in the open and the colour made it soobvious we were surprised it was still there. We made sure it was concealed much better when we left. Nothing exchanged. Greg and Bev

A very nice drive by cache. So nice we stayed a while and had a coffee and enjoyed the views. Also noticed there are toilets and an electric BBQ area in the vicinity (good for travellers to know). Took nothing left World Times Chart. Thanks JoMac.

Found at 13.25. Great views from here. Seems to be a popular place for 'hoons' but we managed to conduct our business inconspicuously. Took orange paratrouper, left black and orange frog.
Thanks JoMac.

An easy find but had to park the car in between the cache and the nearby boguns so they couldn't see what I was up to. No exchange made due to the small size. I need to get some small cache items. Thanks Jomac

Found by Kevin & Meredith at 3.00pm.
An easy find in a scenic spot. We were lucky in that no one was around.
Last time I was here was during the suns total eclipse in 1976.
Took a superball and left an SES bug
Thanks Jo-Mac

Found this one as the third in my JoMac trilogy. I originally visited this one first this morning, but there was a lady in a car when I arrived, and there she remained for about 20 minutes while I looked around where I thought it might be. I didn't believe my GPS as I thought it impossible to hide something where it said. I wished at the time that I had the original posted co-ords as I thought they may have been more likely.

After doing 2 other JoMac caches, and finding the cache within 1 metre, when I returned to this cache this afternoon, I decided to put more faith in the GPS. After a carload of people left, I looked and found the cache, once again, very close to where my GPS told me it would be.

I didn't have anything small enough to fit the cache so no exchange was made. I did however, enjoy the view and had a drink of water to celebrate the party. (That's all I had on hand).

Thanks, JoMac, once again, for another great cache.

Muzza

Found by Slider & Smurf while visiting JoMac for the weekend ... took a night drive up the hill, no party but there was a couple in a nearby car having their own fun [:0]

Quickly located the cache, but didn't have anything with me small enough to swap - took nothing, left nothing.

Thanks JoMac - what a great view of the town at night!!

I returned to the cache site this afternoon to check the co-ordinates. I averaged my position (with the GPS directly on top of the cache) and have slightly altered the numbers as a result. Hope this makes things a little easier!

Found by Maya and Ray (The Nomads) at 4:10PM on Sunday the 14th of July 2002. We enjoyed the drive down to Geelong from Werribee via Serendipity on this fine and mild day. We did not take our computer with its maps on this trip, so we had to work only from the GPS indicated direction. This had us touring the Geelong area local to the cache, in some detail, before we worked out the correct access road. There certainly are some grand residential constructions to be seen in the area, with spectacular views. It took a bit of searching to find the cache as our GPS insisted GZ was on the other side of the lookout, but Maya was in good form again and located the cache. We took a hygenically sealed tub of yellow something-or-other, and left some balloons from our own party celebrations, last night. Thanks JoMac.

Found by Mary & David at 0945. We were planning a trip to Adelaide via the coast when this cache appeared last night. The description said ''drive-by'', so we did. Certainly a drive-in drive-out cache. Marvellous views and some seriously expensive houses on the approach. Thought there would be some large spiders in our way when we saw where the cache seemed to be hidden, but it turned out not to be the case. Took a smiley stamp, and left a pack of glitter stars for the party tablecloth. M will have a glass of white wine please, and D (the driver) will have a coke. Thanks JoMac.
