Quick find on the way past here, cache is all goodTravelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache

Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumulated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Saturn's day the nineteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. TwoEms adored the little nature path around the bright green oval. We think these native corridors should be done around all sports groundsto turn them into hidden arenas instead of sprawling grass weed plains. We find ourselves unable to write down our heroes, but we can find something to admire in everyone.Thank you for the cache.

Thanks for the pervious geoer for placing a new piece of paper in the cache. TFTC

Found by Rockinrosie72, a good muggle friend who has recently became a cacher. Log full, added a new piece of paper

Cache # 11259 on 27 Apr 2024Decided to take advantage of the ANZAC day holiday and make a long weekend of it - added a road trip with Bobl27 to the mix and all is set for a fun few days. We are travelling from home in the ACT to Victoria via Cooma and then doing a relaxed loop to Melbourne picking up a few caches and counties along the way. And then straight up the Hume home! No tricky DTs or long walks this trip. Wonthaggi to Melbourne today via a few counties and a couple of older caches! This cache: took a while - my GPS showed around 9m out! Log also full! Thank you kangadrew72 for the cache and the fun!

19-Apr-24
Sorry log too full and wet to write on. Needs maintenance. Please see photo.

Doing some geocaching for scouts, cache was in a good spot dragged my parents along.

I must be out of practice or losing my touch. I needed the hint and a past log to find this one! As for my hero, he was also my Dad, not of Heathmont, but of Launceston, Tasmania. Having lost his father when he was 7 years old, so not having a role model, he had to invent himself as a father. He did a mighty fine job of it and it was a privilege to become a mate of his in the latter stages of his life.

23-Jan-24
Second time here and I finally found that cheeky bugger. Great hide. As for heroes. I dont imagine them as people who can fly or wear cape. Just people in everyday clothing doing a little kind things here and there. Often they are not thanked or noticed. Its the little things for me. TFTC and the reflection.

It was a pleasant sunny afternoon... and with a bit of time to spare, I popped over to Ringwood for a cache or two. Having been *muggled out* at my first cache, I kept moving south until I got to this cache. A nice easy find... managed to find a bit of *spare space* on the full log sheet to write my name.

Thanks **kangadrew72** for this cache.

GPS a bit off, but a nice container

05-Apr-23
Out scouting out spots for a new cache placement and grabbed this one as it was nearby and I needed one for the streak.

GPS was a little off but once I looked in the right spot it was an easy find. Nice little area round here. Log is pretty full but I managed to fit my name down the side.

Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

My GPS was out a few *hints* but once I moved along I found it quickly.

#1304 - First cache of the day and there must have been some caching-fog-brain as it definitely took a long time to find this cache!
Trust your caching instincts though and you will eventually find it.

Hard to go past my Dad as my hero as well.

Following my convoluted walk around Ringwood, it was time to collect on another shopping puzzle before heading home...

Which led to a walk around the park because why not?

A nice place for a tribute to your dad, kangadrew72

And a fairly quick find.

My heroes...

We say goodbye to the second of two brave women tomorrow, after losing their battles with cancer. My sister-in-law endured the indignities of treatment with a positivity that never ceased to amaze. A month ago, my sister's memorial was finally held after a delay of nearly a year. Her journey through breast cancer lasted several treatments over twenty plus years. Between the two of them, they raised four very capable young adults.

Here's to you, Nic and J.A.

We were in the area picking up some solved mystery caches and saw this one. Right near GZ a family walked by with a border collie pup. We had to stop and get some cuddles from “Fergus”. He was super cute. Thank you kangadrew72 for placing and maintaining Heathmont Hero for us to find today.

Find # 1048.

Parents definitely deserve to be heroes. I only began to really appreciate mine when I had kids of my own. I love that this cache is dedicated to a Dad.

TFTC…. I like to give a shout-out to my hero, my mom. She has done so much for me over the years. I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it wasn’t for her

Got to GZ and thought that I understood the hint. I really did when I expanded my search a bit. I once had a brother who played baseball.

06-Nov-21
We had completed a nearby solved puzzle, before completing the circuit, which took us past Heathmont Hero. There was a cricket match on the oval but no one on the track.
We checked a few locations that matched the hint before finding the container. The log was damp but, being waterproof it didn’t matter. We dried it off before putting it back.
Thanks for the cache kangadrew72.

25-Oct-21
Found it

11-Oct-21
Was great to see so many people getting back into sport at this park this afternoon. There were even some boys making bike jumps just like my kids are doing in our local area. Nicely hidden and a lovely tribute cache.

I was in the area and had a few hours to while away so I decided that I would make my way to the Dandenong Creek Trail and grab a few caches along the way.

A quick find on a deserted cold, wet, and windy afternoon. TFTC.

A quick stop and wander on the way back from an appointment.

Tbh I’m a bit disappointed in myself because I’m quite familiar with this park and it is so close to my gz i don’t know why i haven’t come here sooner. After eyeing it off for about 2 months I finally was nearby enough and decided to come and find. It didn’t take too long to find. The clue was confusing at first but after thinking about it, ended up helping me and my (muggle) friend find this cache! unfortunately I didn’t bring a pen as i was not expecting to come find it and the cache unfortunately didn’t have one! Managed to snap a picture that will be send to owner. Tftc kangadrew72 for placing this cache, enjoyed revisiting this park!

10-Apr-21
Got it! Took a while since we looked at night but it’s a clever hide!

10-Mar-21
Took way to long to find this! One of us looked in the spot but missed it. With a second look, we found him!

21-Feb-21
Well gotta come back

31-Jan-21
A lovely little spot up here, which I visited as a diversion from a walk beside the creek.

This was a very good sneaky hide - easy, but very nicely obscured from passers-by. TFTC Smile

27-May-20
After visiting a nearby business, we dropped in here to pick up this cache. It was Mr Pooky who made the find just as I was checking the hint. Our first cache back since lockdown. After signing the log and replacing the cache we walked a lap of the park on the walking tracks. TFTC and bringing us to this location.

18-May-20
Well hidden!

26-Mar-20
It's become a WFH morning routine to "commute" to a cache and keep the 2020 streak alive. This time to another arena where I played local footy against a fierce rival in the Jets back in the day. I read the hint and pardon the pun but "well done". tftc

26-Mar-20
It’s a sad day, as I finish up work due to the coronavirus however I’m happy to have more time to find some caches
Ps the steak is like my dad’s over cooking- very black!
Thanks.

20-Mar-20
We found a place quite close by to park for this one. The hint made for a very quick and easy find with ilook4geo. All was good with the cache and the log soon had two more names added to the list before all was put back as it had been found. Thank you to kangadrew72 for placing this cache.

20-Mar-20
This was a nice easy cache to find with goingplaces2. No muggles were around and it was soon signed and replaced. TFTC.

18-Mar-20
Arrive on this area and my GPS has played up so I gave up to search without GPS and finally found it. Good spot to hide it. Thanks kangadrew72 for placing it.

16-Mar-20
I found myself out this way picking up a gumtree purchase. I had just enough time to divert here on my way home.

Nice little bit of bushland next to an oval here. A muggle was walking his dog on the nearby track. Other than that, it was muggle free. At GZ I walked straight up to where I thought it may be. Great hide. The hint makes sense.

The cache was in good condition but the log was damp. That's not really a problem as it was a good quality wet proof log. I gave it a dry off anyway. It was time for me to head back home now. I spotted some pretty yellow flowers growing along the path as I made my way back to the car.

Thank you for the cache here kangadrew72

12-Jan-20
Out with Cooper from fisherfamfive this morning for some caches in the Bayswater area. This one was very evil as after a good 15 minutes of searching, the clue became helpful when we realized what it meant. Soon after Cooper found it. TFTC

12-Jan-20
The sixth and last of a few caches with Jackson from CammFamThree in the Bayswater region. The clue was very misleading for quite some time, until Jackson made some sense of it and the cache was found. Tftc kangadrew72

16-Dec-19
Found on 2nd attempt

06-Dec-19
This one was a bit of a challenge . Not sure if it was my phone or interference but the gps was sending me in all directions . Eventually got it after reading the hint . A nice Hide . Thanks kangadrew72.

29-Nov-19
Excellent camouflage, wandered about a little, but the hint was just right. TFTC!

19-Nov-19
Had me wandering a bit at first but at ground zero the clue suddenly made sense and I soon had the cache in hand. It's wet but the waterproof paper is solid. Shame I hadn't thought to bring a pen. I was supposed to be xmas shopping at Anaconda, not caching but couldn't resist when the app showed me I was so close to a cache.

11-Oct-19
Quick easy find after a day of work in lilydale. Log is soaked. But it's waterproof paper so it's still okay. Thanks for the cache!

Second time lucky for this one ️

Made no mis-stake here. Went right to it.
Sorry and sadly no heroes from this park. The All Blacks and Roger Federer are my sport superstars.

29-Jul-19
Sometimes you find them, sometimes you don’t! This time luck was on my side I wandered up to GZ and stood waiting for some walkers to pass by and it turned out I was right by the cache .. I wonder if it’s here? Yep! Thanks kangadrew72 for placing the cache

22-Jul-19
Tidying up some stray caches in the area had me questioning if this cache was still here. There has been some clearing works done inside the fenced area and the GPSr was pointing me into the area. After some thought I decided to look a bit further away and there it was, staring at me. Log was damp but safe so after drying it off some I added our mark and replaced the cache as found. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams

I was early for an appointment so made a detour to secure this GC which is my first in Victoria. TFTC

*22 May 2019, Found @3:39 pm, Find # 2887.*

In the area after a visit to the optometrist with my son and needing a cache for the calendar this was a good choice. My muggle son helped with the search, but it was me who made the find. The cache was nicely hidden.

**Thanks to kangadrew72 for placing this cache.**

Got it thanks

An easy find thanks to the hint.

Day 23 of my travels. After leaving Tasmania and getting off the ferry this morning, it was another day tracking down a few target caches around Melbourne. Unfortunately I seem to have brought the Tasmanian weather with me and it was another day of intermittent showers and strong, cold winds.

This was a quick find while passing by the area this morning.

Thanks kangadrew72 for the cache.

09-Apr-19
Nice quick park and grab, thanks for the cache!
