Logs
Back home after a couple of weeks caching, camping, and 4wding. Catching up on all the logs.
This was an initial DNF on the 27th, but after running in to another cacher a few days later, they confirmed my suspicions as to where it was, so we went back and made the find today.
Cheers

Interesting little park in the middle of the burbs. With a few neighbourhood muggles about, searched and searched the obvious feature before the cache was found. Interesting the history that is literally in someones back yard!! TFTC BRBE53
Found by Mary & David at 1245. A FP for your cache notes and research. Mary loves cemeteries, graveyard architecture, social history and symbolism. No old headstones for her here, but you have provided the social history. Our thanks to BRBE53.
After spending the weekend on Bribie Island we stopped at the pub in Woodford for lunch today. After lunch we had some extra time so we stopped here to claim this Cache. We Geocache because it takes us to places that we would have otherwise missed and it is a great way to find the history of an area.
The Cache was found safe and dry, after adding our name to the log book we continued on the road toward home.
Thanks for the Cache BRBE53

This cache was found whilst participating in the Cycle Queensland 2016 Adventure Tour.
I had to go a little of course to get my first find for the tour.
I didn't see a trackable in this cache. Since it's been some time since the trackable was placed here I'd say that it has unfortunately gone missing. As the owner of this cache you can mark the trackable as missing. This action will remove it from the cache inventory and place it in the great cache in the sky.
Thanks for the cache BRBE53.

Pretty quiet here this aternoon, and a fairly quick find followed by a few minutes of reflection on the fate of the three pioneers who rested here. Happily finding caches in places like this give a brief history it is often difficult to find by just visitinr a location. TFTC.
Third and last one for the day for the Grey Nomads. Yay! Left a Scratchie! Good luck!

Sunday. After having a relaxing BBQ with Adriano, his brother and some friends from Italy, we picked some caches up on the way home.
A little nervous as this one is surrounded by houses. Nonetheless, a quick find, all is good here.
This was the 2nd of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***BRBE53***, for showing us this place.

Out and about with Dutchie1950 today After meeting up at the usual spot this morning we headed west to Caboolture.
This afternoon we headed out to Woodford. The title of this one made me think it'd be an old cemetery, so we were surprised to see it was just a playground. Of course a read of the Description explained it all. We made a quick find. TFTC, and history lesson, BRBE53.

# 1372 - After a long break it was time for a play-day with IolantheK again. As she had to collect a few smileys on the north side we took off after meeting at our usual meeting place for, what was to be, a rather fruitful day.
Most of the finds were done by her, of course , but that's not strange when you look at her number of finds!
And this was one of them! Again! I think....

This Day in History
Saturday, June 13, 1874. : Explorer John Forrest's party fires upon Aborigines during an attack in central Western Australia.
John Forrest was born on 22 August 1847, near Bunbury in Western Australia. Between the years of 1869 to 1874, Forrest led three expeditions, two of them with his brother Alexander, to explore the uncharted areas of Western Australia. In 1869, he led the search for Ludwig Leichhardt's party which had gone missing on their trek across Australia from east to west, a search which was unsuccessful. In 1870, he surveyed the route which Edward Eyre had taken in 1840-41 from Adelaide to Albany, across the Great Australian Bight.
In April 1874, the brothers departed Geraldton with three experienced white men, two aborigines and enough supplies for eight months, in search of a stock route and pasture land to the east. During this expedition, on 13 June 1874, the exploration party was attacked by Aborigines. The Aborigines retreated only when two of them were badly wounded by rifle fire. It is thought that the Aborigines attacked because the Forrest party was camping on sacred ground.

Found this one without trouble after reading the discription and previous logs we had it in no time. There was NO trackable in this one although we did find it half open so not sure if it has been muggled. We closed lid properly and placed back where we found it TFTC
Found after a bit of a search with DC52 & HRH54 today. A neighbouring muggle (10 year old) wandered over and told us he had already found it while climbing the tree! Had returned it to the correct place though! TFTC
Had some time this morning for a shortish drive so decided to conquer Kilcoy and woodford and be home by 1330hours.
I had had a look on Google earth and had a bit of an idea where to start my search. Parked near the fence and had a look at the GPSr and saw the direction the compass needle was pointing so left it in the car and went for a very short walk. Quick find in what I think is a geocachers friend and soon was replacing the container back where found. No neighbours out and about whilst I was at the park. TNLNSL TFTC BRBE53

Nice little spot. Easy find tftc. Dropped off TB so it can continue on its journey.
Returning from collecting a few Coat of Arms Geo-Art puzzles at Esk this morning, it seemed only natural to grab the newer caches published in the Somerset region since I was last out here a few months ago .
This was a super quick park n grab, in fact the container was sitting in plain view. Signed the log and returned with some cover to ensure it remains in place.
---
This cache was found in good condition, and adds to our total of 2414 smilies. Thanks **BRBE53** for showing us this spot. This log is trackable. Discover our code TGQNRV, and mention where you saw it.

Found it and a geo coin and we will help it get closer to its destination on our way to drop it at a new spot
Found it at 1.50pm with geo grandson on 31st March. Was being watched by man across the street.
Hope he is the cache owner.
My 400th find. Tsls dropped off 2 trackables.

Didn't have time for this one on Monday so returned to Woodford this afternoon. Arrived near GZ to find a muggle lady and her son just walking away from where we wanted to search - turned out to be Clan-Mess - nice to meet you both. I think we both had a good laugh because we looked suspicious to each other. Nice easy find. TFTC BRBE53
Out shopping with one of the GeoKids, he asked "should we do some Geocaching mum?"
"I don't know if there are any here mate. Lets have a look".
Guess what! New caches pop up, so I guess we should go have a look.
While here, another car pulled up. Turned out to be another cacher. Nice to meet you DickBev.

*FTF* @12.20am. Saw these 2 notifications come up and woke up Geopartner.
He offered to drive me out and when we arrived at GZ, we were very quiet as not to disturb the slumbering neighbours.
I quickly found the cache and signed the log. Thanks for the FTF pin.
TFTC Thanks BRBE53 All good with this cache
