Find number 4561. Enjoyed the path around from the last cache. I nearly fell in the trap as I thought I was either in the wrong place or the cache had gone. Was just about to leave when I spotted it. Pleased to sign it off. Thank you for the placement.

Date night in the NZT household often means doing some night caching, so when MrNZT suggested a "date night" on a lovely clear but cold friday night I knew what that meant!!!

Our last cache for the night before having a DNF and then seeking refuge at the Hemaludy's house for coffee and hot chocolate. Took us a little while to locate this one, its well hidden. Was a bit squelchy underfoot, but all good here. Log signed. TFTC!

08-Jun-18
It was a bit wet under foot as we approached GZ as it had been raining recently, but the night was cold and clear and after a short hunt we found the cache. Signed NZT and HB1E. TFTC!

06-May-18
We were unlucky here today (or maybe it's just our inexperience!), we will be back though. Weren't sure how far near the water we should search, was a bit soggy underfoot.

17-Apr-18
The water level was quite high but managed to keep my feet dry looking for this one. Nicely hidden, TFTC

My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder or be angry about my log entries. Thanks!

Today after swimming I walked together with my host kid in this area. We could find three Caches, that was the second. Here we could find the Cache quickly!

Thanks for the warning about not falling in. The area looks like it could get very slippery and the water is very close by.
We had a storm a couple of days ago and can see that the water was a lot higher than usual as it left a line of debris quite a long way up the grass. If we had come when it was that high we would have needed to swim to get the cache.
Fortunately things had dried out a lot and today we managed to find it while staying nice and dry.
Thanks Matamua Guides for another nice hide along this beautiful walkway.

Had a free day in hand between a stressful week and the In Laws 80th tomorrow followed by a Expo next week, so this was a chance to grab a few caches that have been sitting there far too long.
So in the company of Mr MCC at 5.30am and setting off we headed north for a morning (only having leave passes to mid-afternoon) to see what we could find in the area before the muggles were up and about and we needed to locate caches in slightly less muggle intensive areas.
Today we managed a total of sixty five finds and only 2 DNF's. Not bad considering we were back home by 2.30pm.
A big thanks you to all the CO's for the effort in placing and maintaining these caches. We had a great day with lots of laughs and fun

Sorry for the repetitive logs. Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Out with Cat & Dragons on a caching finding mission, didn't fall in and did find the cache

Sorry it has taken so long to log - we got caught up moving house and are only now getting back on top of our cache logging.
This was a quick find on the way home from guitar practice nearby to fill a dot day on our calendar. We picked up the trackable and will move it along. Found with darthcacher1 and purply.

17-Mar-17
After finishing up work commitments near the airport I had a few hours to myself so I headed off to find a few caches to the South. Another well hidden cache. Surprised it hadn't been found for a while. It took a careful look to find it. Dropped in a trackable - seemed appropriate for the location. TFTC, Biggles.

29-Dec-16
I decided to have a bit of a Sunday drive around and grab some easy park n grabs. Thanks.

27-Dec-16
Glad no wet or muddy feet today. Quick grab of the cache. Low tide here right now. Can here all the cars in the distance. Find number 4076.
Thanks for the cache Matamua Guides.

15-Dec-16
I cycled round this area today to find some caches, this was one of them. Quick, easy find, signed the log and returned it. No real issue with muggles, just pretended to have a break from cycling as I sat on the nearby seat to sign it. Apart from one guy and his dog who passed me earlier when I was at the Pahurehure Inlet cache who just gave me a funny look. The key is smile and say hello, then you'll seem less dodgy haha. TFTC

07-Dec-16
Didn't have to work today, so decided to head out and pick up some requiremets for my GIO licence. This one, along with others nearby, fit the bill. This was my last today, and as I pulled up and parked, it was nice and quiet, so it was a quick and easy walk to GZ without me having to feel as if I was skulking around looking dodgy.
Got to GZ and figured it was in either one of two places- luckily coordinated were leading me away from a place that would result in me getting VERY muddy! It happened to be in the first spot I checked, so I was signing the log in no time. Cache was sticking out a little when I found it, but I was unable to return it so it was a little better hidden without forcing it, and as I didn't want to break it, I just replaced it as found, figuring it was unlikely to be spotted anywas unless someone came looking!
Headed back up the path, enjoying the fragrance of two of my favourite flowers on the air..... Chinese Star Jasmine and frangipani. Mmmmmm. Lovely spot, and friendly neighbours who waved at me as I hopped back in my car.
TFTC Matamua Guides!

Out with Team Westies doing a number of caches in Papakura. This was near to one of the puzzle caches we could not find, so nabbed this one instead.

05-Nov-16
I was with a few other Team Westies in the area to pick up the final of a solved puzzle and this was close by so we couldn't leave without turning this into a smiley face. And we didn't fall in!!

15-Sep-16
Work took me down South today. Might as well find a few caches along the way. This was my first stop. I parked up and made my way into the reserve. A couple of lads were playing with a remote control boat in the light rain. Luckily their attention was focused on the water away from GZ. Quickly located the hide but had to reorient myself as per the title to retrieve the cache. Completed the formalities in the mud. Cheers for the cache placement!

03-Sep-16
Nice easy find for the start of a geocaching day. TFTC.

26-Aug-16

Hi. Found your cache no problem on morning trip to car rental. Low tide but still would not like to stumble into there. Nice one and thanks for the cache.

09-Apr-16
The tide was out so I had no chance to fall in. I came at night to make the grab, which took a bit longer than in the daylight, but I found it nevertheless. TFTC.

Smile Found ... went for a walk to see if we could find a cache to cross off another date in our calendar ... thought I'd check out a couple of new caches in the area ... I think that's the 1st STF for us today ... no prizes there, but good to get it done ... in the end, this cache was easily found & quickly replaced ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,250 for us.

Lovely to find more caches along one of my regular walks. Had thought of putting one in a very close by location so extra pleased that it is already done. Thanks for the cache.

After claiming a joint FTF in Drury with Stik-a-crane, i headed back to look for these new ones. Knew exactly where i needed to go as ive been here many a time. GPS batteries were flat so had to make use of the iPhone to navigate. Once at GZ, i was very glad of finding this one quickly due to the fact that there are houses within very close proximity and i didnt want any unwanted attention. Opened up to find a blank log so another FTF for tonight. Picked up the TB for moving along, TFTC! Big GrinBig Grin

23-Mar-16
Was there at placement, so no FTF claim here.
Helping the local Girl Guides earn their geocaching badges... they came up with the title, most of what is on the cache page... the hide had to change a little as it was a little too close to other caches, but all in all not too bad a first attempt.
