Logs
Lucky, with no internet reception, we couldn't read details about the cache or read previous logs, so blindly look around, and soon saw something that I needed to sign. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO
Prob spent way too much time here picking the bikes up and hanging them.Reminded me of Pram Creek in the NT.
Travelling with RoddyC, snickersallan and grannysmith1947 as TeamQ4.Coming into the Mount Isa area to complete some challenges and get some more smiles. We started at the wrong end trying to clear grass from around some bikes when someone called out that they had found it.TFTCache Davidnarelle
TFTC smile 16876 out and about on a lovely day signed and replacedThank you Davidnarelle for placing this cache for our enjoyment
QOGM is over, so now is the opportunity to take a few days bresk and head to Mount Isa via Boulia with hatzofff, Grannysmith1947 and Snickersallan.Yes, it was a bit tricky. Further in than we thought.Log signed and cache replaced as found at 2:43 pm on 25 September 2023. TFTC, Davidnarelle
After QOGM concluded as I was in the area decided to wander even further from home.TFTC Davidnarelle
Day 2 of our Outback Way adventure road trip, and after an overnight stay in Boulia, a drive south and back, we are now heading north to Mount Isa.Accompanied by RoddyC, hatzofff, and grannysmith1947, we stopped by here and meticulously went around the 'bike' track. After about 5 minutes, we widened our search and then bingo, the neat hide was found.Thank you, Davidnarelle, for placing this cache for our benefit and enjoyment
We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.
Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.
Week 2 was Clare to Port Augusta.
Week 3 Port Augusta to Birdsville
Day 22 Beans Loo to Dajarra Dam bush camping
The races are run and now we are heading for Mount Isa with a couple of overnights along the way. We read the logs and were preparing for a long hot search but Mr Morris was onto it pretty quickly - obviously motivated by tales of spiders.
Thanks for contributing to our holiday DavidNarelle

On my way to NT via Birdsville Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
The grass is really long and the spiders thick. Doing a wide berth around the monument I managed to spot the prize. Next was to get it without disturbing any of the spiders. A great cache spot. Would have missed the whole thing otherwise. That's what caching is all about for me.
Added another log sheet as the current one is about full.

DNF at 5:19 PM.
On our way to a very beautiful camp for the night - Dajarra Dam - and we stopped to look at this weird artistic structure with a heap of hidden bike bits in the tall grass that we stumbled over while avoiding, and even pushing away those massive man eating spiders!
Gosh - are we having fun yet
We went around a few times for about 10 minutes, but we just couldn't find anything that looked like a micro cache. Pity as we will probably never come back this way again

Heading to Boulia, Bedourie and Birdsville. This was one of our targeted caches to get new LGAs. Checked out a few of the possible hides while dodging the huge orb spiders. Thanks and fav point.

We were a bit daunted by the prospect of looking through all these velocipedes, and muggle husband was not happy. However he got lucky and found the cache within less than a minute. It could have taken a lot longer. Brilliant spot for a cache.
Thanks for placing this cache here. I absolutely loved this little spot. I am always amazed by the things you stumble across on the outback Australian roads
Nice hide for my 100th find. And a favourite point as well. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache.
found it TFTC. At first it was OMG where to start so geo hubby started at one end lol second bike ... bingo
Finally getting to finish a trip I started 2 years ago.
I was heading out this way to meet friends at Birdsville and did the motor in my GeoLux between Tennant Creek and Camooweal.
Armed with a new GeoCruiser I decided to head back home this way after being up north for a trip.
Driving along and wondering what type of tree I was going to come across with the description.
Now that is something different and where did they all come from.
This one took longer than it should have but I got ther in the end.
Thanks Davidnarelle TFTC.

Going to Boulia for a couple days heading for Winton. Felt a bit overwhelmed when we got to GZ, where do we start. Tried a few obvious spots then we spotted something and bingo found the cache . Thought this was going to be more difficult but just got lucky this time. A favourite from us for the decoration. TFTC
Well, after driving past this numerous times for work and having a quick look, i decided i had better go and find it in my own time. It was a lot quicker than i thought and i don't know how i missed it previously!!! TFTC
TFTC whilst traveling with FelixII on our way to Mt Isa we grabbed this cache colourful tree.
Stopped by here with Smokie5054 and were happy to find the cache in good order exactly 1 year to the day that we were here last year.
After attending the Red Centre Experience event and spending a little time exploring some iconic locations in the Northern Territory, it was time to make a more or less express trip back home. Fortunately there were sufficient well placed caches at opportune spots to safely park and stretch our legs on our way home [^].
Now that we have had a small taste of what there is to offer in central and north-west Queensland, we will need to look at organising another trip sometime when we can spend more time to explore the area.
When we arrived at this cache, we were beginning to lose the light and we were still a long way from our planned overnight stop. Mrs Just a Trifle was beginning to feel a little blue because we would probably not have the time required to actually locate the cache when she spied something from the corner of her eye ... yes that was it and we also managed to reach Dajarra without any close calls with kangaroos on the road With our name added to the logbook, we continued on our journey.
Thank you DavidNarelle for having placed the cache for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Nice afternoon find, coordinates were off but cache was in amongst the likeliest spot just takes a bit of searching. Found with muggle friend Al.
On my this year's AUSTRALIA trip (AUS-17) also here approached and the log possibility used. Thanks for the cache. Muggles on stage.

Well one could only stop here and wonder . Well I had to stop to find the cache as well . Looks like luck was on my side as my GPS pointed 5 meters that way but I found the cache 3 that way in a spot you would think it would be .
Signed logsheet 9/09/2016 4:30 pm and replaced all as found.

Driving from Mt Isa to Boulia, taking a few days to do the Diamantina Developmental Road, and grabbing the few caches along the way.
OMG, which one to start with. Who is pointing the way? Ooh, here it is. Thanks Davidnarelle.....

Travelling around Australia and currently visiting outback Queensland.
Interesting few weeks from Charleville, Quilpie, Windorah, Birdsville, Bedourie, Boulia and on today to
Mt Isa.
After being freezing cold and wet for the last little while we couldn't believe driving 300km north saw us in shirt sleeves and sunglasses, although we still had some sunshowers.
Great to be able to seize the opportunity to stop for a cache or 3.
Great spot to stop along this stretch. Coords may be a little out but it 1 for the 'girls' all the way! Even if it was Mr Felix who found it on his own in the end. Fave point from us.

On our way towards Mt Isa and picked a few caches on the way with FelixII. Stopped here and thought which one but Mr FelixII came up with the goods, well all signed the log and placed back in its hidey hole.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

The trickier ones are so frustrating yet so satisfying when found. Spent a bit of time with the grasshoppers on this one. TFTC

Took my visiting colleague for a short caching trip on the south side on town. Maybe not that short as we came all the way here but for sure not too long a drive in this region.
Very much liked the local art or whatever I should call it.
Thanks for hiding
