Logs
We took a long walk up to find this cache on a nice sunny morning. Easily found, but unable to sign the log as the container has been smashed & log a soggy mess ( sorry we had no replacements on us). Photo as evidence of our find should the co wish it.
Searched under lots of piles. An excuse to come back. Just not my day today I guess!
I definitely feel out of place heading to GZ. I had to wide my search to find the cache. Unfortunately the container and the log are both damaged and will need replacing
I found it under a rock had a nice black box that had the note book in it thank you it’s my first geo
Found this morning after completing the Twin Rivers ride and climbing up the hill. The main container is badly broken and needs replaced but the log container is still ok for the time being. TFTC, this is a great spot for a cache.
Biking the Queenstown trail to Arrowtown and back on my e-bike. Pretty thankful for the assistance with this hill! It was a nightmare for the geohusband on his normal bike. Got a few caches along the way including two FTF’s at Lake Hayes! Biked 48km in total. TFTC.
Tftc…. Suchhhhh a big hill to climb lol lugged our bikes up!! Amazing view. Onward!
Im here for a conference being held at Millbrook. Today is the formal part of proceedings which means a number of hours sitting down. I decided I'd brave the frosty morning and go for a walk before hand. This looked like a good target to head for. I turned up the cache in the first spot I looked.. TFTC
Found today in the sun shine. Enjoyed the walk up to this one. Great view of the Lake with the autumn colours all about. A lot of bikes on the track most of them electric. Nice hide here thanks Pegladon.
Loved t to his one had a time limit but I delivered box in hand quickly ps container not in good shape
What an amazing bike ride from Arrowtown to here. Hunting down the cache took a while and the hint didn't make sense to me. Reading a previous log about the stump took me close enough to find it. A great view from here, and now for the downhill to Lake Hayes! Thanks Pegladon.
Biking past again this afternoon, on our way to Frankton. Thanks to a helping hand from Lions & Lambs, we weren't "stumped" this time - an instant find. Duh, how did we miss it last time?
Off for a bike ride - remeber this view- was there another cache here before? The coordinates seemed a bit downhill on the RH side of the track, but the hint indicated a bit closer to the sign. We gave the area between the fences a pretty thorough search, but have no idea where a 1 litre cache could possibly be. Bother! Now down the hill to Lake Hayes.
Just about to give up when I spotted the blue part of the container, it had been very well hidden! Good walk up the hill with 3 moaning kids and 2 dogs out for exercise during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Two of us spent 15 minutes looking for this on our Te Araroa thru-hike. We have not been having a very successful caching day...
Found quickly today while biking the Queenstown trail . Perfect day with KB
Great view from this spot

Our last day in Queenstown and after an early morning trip on the Gondola we hired a couple of E-bikes and had a fabulous ride to Arrowtown and back. The views were amazing on such a sunny day.
A well hidden cache that took us a few minutes to find.

Found this cache while on a bike ride from Arrowtown to Frankton. Unfortunately couldn't sign log as there was no pencil. Log book was also damp and could use replacing.
Greetings from Tauranga. Out for a bike ride whilst staying in Arrowtown. Amazing countryside, just can't get enough of the scenery. A group of 20 cyclists passed while I was writing up the log, but not one of them asked what I was doing! Cache is all good. Great fun to pass through Millbrook. Could have got a very posh lump on the head but luckily the golf balls were all under control. TFTC
What a beautiful part of the countryside, stunning views, extremely expensive houses all around and beautifully coloured trees showering rainbows of multicoloured leaves everywhere. Cache quickly found and signed, took a little longer to replace as a number of cyclists came and went.
Still laughing at Searchwiselys log... how can i beat that? I won't attempt!! A great day for playing golf and caching, love this area at this time of year, thanks for bringing me to an area of amazing architecture, and immaculate gardens and great views.
Had no idea l would be finding this cache today as l had started walking the Lake Hayes track before spotting the Queenstown trail branched off to Arrowtown. As l walked along peering at the magnificent scenery, this cache appeared. So made a quick grab before walking through Millbrook. Crikey, what a walk through there. Great location for a cache. TFTC
Found it after trying to find a place to park. We read and followed all the signs that said private road so Millbrook was out of the question. Drove around to the other side and come across a Te Araroa walker and had a chat. Has been 5 years since I finished that. Cache was found easy. Tftc
Found 11/02/2017 Heavy rock for the big box. I popped a smaller rock in hide to ease the weight off. TFTC
Oops returned to SL [:0]. Parked at the Millbrook restaurant and walked the graveled Waka trail from the public carpark. The signposted trail was a bit vague in places and l felt like I was trespassing through a gated community, luckily no security guys came running but cache was easily found at the GZ. **IT WAS NOT HIDDEN**. Returned the log sheet and swag back into the empty bags and placed the big heavy rock back in place.

I happened to be Woking on one of the house less than 100m from the cache so when I had finished i hopped over the fence and collected the cache. Very handy. Another great view.
We tried to approach this cache from the Millbrook side yesterday, but all the roads seemed to have signs saying "Residents Only" so we gave up. Today we made the steep walk up from Speargrass Flat Road, after which the cache was a quick find. The Roadside Trailhead waypoint given seems to be in the middle of nowhere? TFTC
We were in the area looking at a house Mr had been involved in designing and thought we would go for a wee walk on a lovely day and find this cache, TFTC!
Today we are on a short bicycle ride from Queenstown to Arrowtown, and naturally we have to log a few caches along the way . Tftc!
Quick find on a short walk from watching brother in law playing golf. Picked up a geocoin.

Had to drop my Muggle off at work this morning so thought I'd go for a drive and grab a couple of caches. Really pretty spot here! Enjoyed the short walk. Cheers and TFTC.
Nice to walk gently up and down the hill looking at the view, having biked it several times concentrating on the track.
Came in from Millbrook side. Just lovely. Left Penelope here, happy travels my pig.

Walked in from Speargrass Flat Road, Lovely views on a nice clear day but the autumn colours are a bit past their peak.
+ a marble, - nothing.

Drove to near cache and walked up the cycle trail.Only one pair of cyclists seen on the day.Took a few pics.TFTC
TVboy and I came a long way to find this, our first cache in New Zealand. Thank you for a perfect hide for us as we forgot to pack our GPS. What a thing to forget when you have come all this way from Wisconsin in the USA! Wanted to leave some swag for the kids but left that in the hotel. Guess you can tell we are older folks. We forget a lot of things. Might return to put a little something in the box. Go Pack Go! TFTC
Arrived in Queenstown from Wellington this morning. Headed up Christine’s Hill on way back to Arrowtown after bike ride around Lake Hayes. Took a couple of minutes to find this one. #1162. TFTC.
GIGGLING ALL THE WAY ALONG, HI DE HO MY FTF That was real heavy going, I chipped a nail. As placing food stuffs in caches can be tampered with, I have removed the prizes but dropped in a prime swap for the 2ND to grab after me. Only starting to discover the new trails in the area since my returns to the lakes district caching. TFTC and placing a new one in time for my latest trip to find.
