Took a while to find, checked this spot 3 times in the past. Finally found it! tftf
M26: astrolovers went for it first and retrieved it, but both signed our names. Nice and easy, log all good and signed here. TFTC.
After filling our bellies with delicious food from the market, this was a handy stroll away. As we approached GZ, I was pretty sure where it would be, and I was right. Tftc
We have had trouble with getting this cache on at least two other occasions as both other times this facility was in full use with occupants and muggles. This time it was deserted so we could search in peace. Quickly located. Bit difficult to get out but got it in the end.
Fun find with littleblackbird1, thanks
Walking the circuit, all quiet here, except beeping of big trucks for subdivision

Carried out a maintenance check today. Container is in correct location and in good condition. Log is also in good condition.
Thanks for the caches & the tour around these lovely Showgrounds! A nice tidy hide
Arrived here and found the Farmer’s market was happening. Didn’t realise it was going to be so busy. Strolled round and bought some treats then headed off to look for the six caches in the Showgrounds. Managed 4 finds 1 DNF and 1 Didn’t attempt as there were muggles congregating at GZ. Came back twice here but far too many horses and their owners.
have to revisit. many mugglers n they were super intrested in what every one else was doing instead of themselves lol with mrpretty

A short squelch across the field to the next cache and finally, Mrs Geckoh was the one to locate this cache, although she suspected Mr Geckoh let her. Cache was nicely tucked away from sight, found by touch. Now on to the last cache before we head home. TFTC

Found- after feeling around in the exact spot Kezzle33 said "this would be a good spot"
#12,819. Park, walk and grab in Clevedon. Fortunately GZ itself was all quiet at the time of our visit. The next Clevedon Agricultural and Pastoral Show is still months away in November 2022. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Thought we knew what to look for but, despite a lot of looking, we didn;t come up with the goods. There is currently a pile of posts blocking some of the area we wanted to look in and hope this was the reason.
This one took a while, and a lot of praying on my knees. Change in levels helped.
Find number 5978. I went round in circles on this one. Nowhere I looked produced a cache. After a small break from looking I walked straight over and found it. Signed and popped it back. Thank you for the placement.
Out for a walk around the Clevedon Showgrounds on this windy afternoon. This one took a little bit longer to find and we were very grateful for the shelter from the wind while we searched from inside and out. Eventually one of us spotted the cache in a location where a previous fingertip search had just missed it. Thanks.
Not sure why I didnt find this one last time - years ago - nicely found today though

Looked high and low for this cache but could not find, moved on after a good 10 minutes
Passing by so had to have a wee wonder. even in the rain showers. nice quick find thx.
A quick and easy find on a circuit of the showgrounds. I missed the last one in the middle as there was a worker in their truck right at GZ. Next time. Thanks
TIme to head back west to catch up with family.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Needing another find to unlock a souviner and the weather looking sunny...ish decided to take a walk to this cache....only passed 1 dog walker today allowing me to search muggle free.
Luckily found in the first spot I checked, as there were many potential options.
Cache is all good.

Another nice day of caching for the Hidden Creatures challenge. This one was hard!!! The hidden force, OK, I know what is meant by it, but there are still so many possibilities, and my smartphone is not on spot! The lawn is wet and muddy, I don't want to get on my knees, I don't want to grab into spider webs... But I don't want to give up either. It took me ages, but I made it! Little hint: It's not just hidden someplace, it's a fair hide. TFTC
Hidden Creatures Challenge... Accepted !!! Found with Piratenschatzsucher! and Pyphant and signed as Team Piraten. TFTC
Another afternoon spent down south collecting caches for the Hidden Creatures event. Find 12 more caches to unlock the World Turtle souvenir. Time to enjoy a nice walk in the winter sunshine around the Cleavedon Showgrounds. Pretty sure we knew how this would be hidden. Co-ords spot on. Found on 1st inspection. TFTC
As I was walking up I thought now where would this most likely be, and there it was in the first place I felt with my hand, very nice, cheers
I love it when my GPS agrees with the owner's down to a T. Went right to the spot and just found it ! Thanks for the whole series.
Saw where I should be heading from a far so made a bee line and found in the first place I looked. TFTC
Seemed obvious where it should be but some methodical searching required. Hopefully it wasn't going to take too long as I was parked in the no parking area at the gate. Oh well. Didn't take too long and escaped with only mildly muddy knees.
On an early morning caching mission, 2 of the clan hatched a plan to make an early morning trip north and to find enough caches to qualify for the Planetary Pursuit. Careful planning was made and we had a very enjoyable hunting out the caches. Thanks also go out to all the cache owners who have placed and maintained the caches.
Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!

Out for a drive with Mr NewlynFam today, and since I haven't cached in aaaaages, we decided to stop for a couple along our drive. This was the second.
We had come to the Showgrounds a while ago to clear out the HeMaLuDy caches, but due to too many equine visitors, we were unable to find this cache.
However, today the place was deserted, and, bonus- the gate was open, so we could drive up and park just about right on top of it.
The searching for this cache was a little interesting.... as Mrs NewlynFam is still recovering from a knee injury, she couldn't squat/kneel down to hunt in the area that we thought the cache would be located. So we identified a 10m length and picked an end each, aiming to meet in the middle, and then Mrs NewlynFam began hunting in the easiest way possible, given her present condition.... she got on the ground and rolled, stopping to search on each half-roll. She even managed to stick her head under one section and have a look up. Mr NewlynFam was rather amused, and adopted a more conventional way of searching.
Unfortunately for Mr NewlynFam, his chosen cache-hunting method was less thorough, as once we met in the middle, and no cache had been revealed, we swapped sides, and Mrs NewlynFam soon located the cache in a spot that Mr NewlynFam had overlooked. Many "man-look" insults followed, but Mr NewlynFam was still kind enough to haul Mrs NewlynFam to her feet after log signing duties had been done, and help dust her off!
Glad to finally get this one ticked off! TFTC and the fun, HeMaLuDys!!!

Found while out with muggle sister showing them the ropes.good hide. TNLNSL, TFTC.
First time walking around the fields here. A very pleasant spring evening. After feeling around GZ cache was soon in hand, signed and replaced.
I was out in this part of Auckland collecting the Scenic Route series and popped into the show ground to collect these ones. I had the place to myself as it was raining. Nice quick find. TFTC.
Forcing the kids away from their screens, making master 16 do some of his Duke of Edinburgh Skill component. Wet, wet, feet and wetter getting close to the cache, again phone all over the place so a more systematic search was about to commence when Panada0505 had it in hand. TFTC
Found it quite quickly but had to wait for a group of women to go past, but they stopped to say hello to my dog and a chat. TFTC
Another lovely easy find.... first place I felt thanks !
Only a few kids kicking a ball and some dog walkers here today !

Last full day in Auckland before heading home to Nelson tomorrow. Decided to head out in this direction to find a few caches. Another visit to the showgrounds and another couple of caches found today. This one was found in a good logical hiding place. TFTC, Biggles.
Took a while to find it by was sooooo satisfying when we went back to our first spot to investigate more and found it. Thanks for the fun! Super awesome cache and find Could sign log, will come back when we have a pen to sign all our did not sign finds.
It took us a while to find this one and we really didn't like putting our hands where we couldn't see but once we noticed the right spot we had it in hand quickly. Almost gave up, glad we didn't tftc
