This was a quick detour while on our way to the WA border today. The find was an easy one so we were on our way in no time
Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining.
Good easy find with Sarge5556. Like the caches that have information attached.
From Tumby bay weekend off staying in kimba trying to do some caches that have been added since in this area. Will pop over to Venus bay on the way with geo dog TonkaSo many schools back in the day. Spose it took longer by horse to get there so needed more Thanks to the MalanDi for placing and maintaining Condition excellent Coords. Excellent Took. Nothing Left. Nothing TFTC
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 13 - Elliston to Ceduna via Port Kenny, Streaky Bay and Smokey Bay. The day began after a very windy night with two coastal cliff drives. The Artwork was an added bonus along the way. I fell into a well laid trap to buy some extra food and made several side trips along well made unsealed dirt roads. In Streaky bay I looked around at the area we played a new years eve show back in 1983 or so. Once I was back on the main highway to Ceduna and Norseman, the caching slowed down as I have been this way several times before. I tried a great multi in Ceduna, but failed at the last hurdle on a gun before retiring for the evening.Lots of todays caches were roadside stops, even if I did do a few detours as well. The shoulders of the highway seemed wider today, so I did not often have to walk too far. Well, there is even less of this school left, but at least there is a cache to mark it.Thanks for the cache MalanDi46710.15 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & ROT13 A#1**Albida**

Vic school holidays so kids and I are road tripping to explore the Eyre Peninsula. Easy find. Thanks for the fun and adventure!
Wow a lot of schools just don't exist anymore. Another one on the list only here for 10 years

Another dream that's come true for the youth of this area, a school that's vanished and moved to Qld. Not sure how to reverse this trend but figure everyone and thing wants to go to Qld, especially while these cold winds are around. Thanks MalanDi for this pit stop on my way to Venus Bay.
My 6th day of my trip heading to and around the Eyre Peninsular. Today I left Kyancutta and headed off towards the coast and stayed near Streaky Bay for the night. This cache would be find number 14 of 22 for the day and find Number 125 in total for this trip away.
Out exploring the rest of the Peninsular after the JLWE in Kyancutta..

So what are we doing this week...
(Go west) Life is peaceful there.
(Go west) Lots of open air.
(Go west) To find caches new.
(Go west) This is what we'll do.
(Go west) Sun in winter time.
(Go west) We will do just fine.
(Go west) Where the skies are blue.
(Go west) This and more we'll do.
(Go west) Life is peaceful there.
(Go west) Lots of open air.
(Go west) To find caches too.
(Go west) This is what we'll do.
(Go west) together together we'll cache on our way
(Go west) together together you map me the way
(Go west) you cache places new
(Go west) this is what we'll do
(Go west) life is smiley there
(with thanks and apologies to the Village People and Pet Shop Boys - who must have been cat lovers!)
And ending up soon at Kyancutta

Country, Coffee, Cats, Champagne, Chocolate, and Caching...
Careful caching as always with Jack helping, wherever we go.
It's a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and objects falling from trees
...... but a cache a day still keeps the boredom away
--------
Most of our caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp )
----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside
It's awesome of all those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!
[:o)]
The end. For now...
... until next time!

Out and about today driving the inland and coast from Streaky to Port Kenny, to Venus Bay, and to Point Labatt and return. Such amazing country, a lot of it dry, but there were some fantastic views along the way. First cache for the day. Nice to meet the owners yesterday in town at another cache. TFTC
After spending the last 3 months in W.A. caravanning, caching and hunting wildflowers we are slowly making our way home to Adelaide. First visit here was over 25 years ago and have been up and down this way many times over the years. The last couple of times passing this way we missed out on a spot in the caravan park but this time were lucky. So off we go caching. T.F.T.C
Always sad to see these old school sites because it means that communities have disappeared as well. TFTC
That was a nice little jog from the main road.
I liked the name of this school so decided to stop and grab it.

During our new years break, jesswrigley and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula to travel around the various coastal towns. We started the trip with Jeep trouble, but then continued in our alternative vehicle without 4WD to stick to the main tourist roads where possible. We travelled south-west to Tumby Bay and Port Lincoln via Whyalla, Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay; west across to Coffin Bay; and then north-west to Streaky Bay and Ceduna via Elliston, and Venus Bay. We then headed back east staying in Kimba via Poochera, Wudinna, Lock, and Darke Peak.
Today, jesswrigley and I continued our adventure from Talia to Streaky Bay. We made a stop at Venus Bay, and decided to leave the boating island/peninsula caches for another visit, to continue on to Murphys Haystacks. We then drove through Calca to Point Labatt to see the sea lions and seals, and then drove north via Sceale Bay. Finally, we spent part of the afternoon driving the Cape Bauer loop road visiting Whistling Rocks, which was a unique highlight!
A nice little piece of history. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks MalanDi for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

A 2 week tour of the West Coast started in Streaky Bay, then to Coffin Bay, then to Tumby Bay and finally a couple of days in Whyalla.
All caches were in good condition unless I've posted a Needs Maintenance log.
Lots of these old schools around and I think they all have a cache.

We continue to travel from east to west. Soon we will come to Nullarbor Plain. Before that, however, we passed many great beaches, sea lions, vögle and reptiles. There was always a cache to look for. All were well found. Thanks to the owners for hiding the geocaches !
On a road trip around Eyre Peninsular with 2N's. Found many and varied caches along the way. Thanks to all the CO's for the placements.

The hide location was very obvious as we pulled up in the car and that led to a quick find. The well constructed cache was in good condition. Thanks MalanDi for the cache.
Found during a tour of the Gawler Ranges and Eyre Peninsula for the week, on a route that saw us traveling to Kimba, Streaky Bay, Tumby Bay, Cleve and Whyalla and camping out near Secret Rocks, Kolay Hut (Gawler Ranges), Pildappa Rock, Port Kenny and Yeldulknie Weir (Cleve), all the while finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache MalanDi!
Nice easy find on our way to Venus Bay, another wet container dried out. Beautiful sounds from
