In the area with Wombatwandering. What an amazing set of buildings but so sad to see so many empty. The walk to this was so scary, ai just thought snake, snake, snake. But we must have scared them away!
With time against us, we drive to near the cache and then headed out on the track. We were not quite sure what we were looking for and places looked very snakey so we were being careful. Eventually did a few swift swipes and grabbed the cache. Given that the log and the cache are in good condition, its pretty obvious some recent finders did not find it at all. Found with ConnieandRick.
Second time lucky!! Came back with gloves. Awesome view of the city and place to explore
The not so AWESOME FOURSOME found it!!There were spills and laughs. We got very wet!But we had fun!!
The previous day Donutholes notified me that he had a day free. So we made plans the following day to grab a few caches around Sunbury.Who knew it was going to be 36, but it added to the days caching entertainment. It was interesting to drive around the old building.Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the traditional cache Team Ladava #7,748
AusFox and I decided to meet up and cache the area to collect a bunch of Adlabs, trads and multis. The temperature was sitting at a nice 35 degrees but that didn't stop us... Just slowed us down a little :pThanks for placing for us all to enjoy A wise man once said "Do whatever sprinkles your Donut"
Visiting Melbourne from Port Macquarie. In the Sunbury area for a couple days.Another nice little walk, with amazing views and a cache to boot. Thanks for the cache
After traversing a lot of wet grass, I made it to GZ for a quick find. Walked the loop around the facility, but the track was similar in both directions.
Boabtree and I had a very successful day caching in the Sunbury area.
Walking uphill, then through long grass, we managed to find the cache with relative ease. Thanks Team HurriKane.

Doing some adventure labs around Sunbury, I ended up very close to this cache, so a small diversion was necessary. I got lucky and touched the right thing. Great camo here.
In town with Rebel Acts to put some smiles on the map, haven’t been to Sunbury in years.
I’m sure there was a point some time ago when I had all the caches around here, but it’s great to see so many new ones out.
Had a great day with heaps of laughter and caching fun, cheers for the cache

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. We decided to head over to Sunbury to do the new Adventure tabs and a few caches in the area. It’s hard to believe the last time I was here was in 2014 some eight years ago and it must be thirteen years ago that I saw Team Ladava when they came to Warburton to help set up a cache for me, that cache is still in play.
This is one of the caches found today. We could only imagine the horrors that went on here, despite that we loved the buildings and the caches. The grass sure was long on the way to this one, thankfully no snakes and a quick find was had.
Thanks Team HurriKane for the cache.

I was up in Romsey finishing off some work that I had started recently at one of my kids place’s.
(They have only been waiting since June last year)
So after that I had a couple of hours to spare before I had to get home so I thought that I would finally make a start on some more caches around Sunbury especially a couple of the newer ones.
So after coming up here for an Ad Lab stage I noticed this one on my map.
I soon found the best place to park and off I went.
Long dry grass and a very warm afternoon did not make for a pleasant walk to this one as I was hoping not to come across any wriggly sticks.
I eventually spotted the sneaky cache and added my name to the log.
A great view from up here and I remember coming up to the Boiler House Theatre to watch a friend perform a few years back.
Thanks Team HurriKane TFTC.

That was not a fun experience. The grass was about 1 - 1.5 metres high and I was waiting for a squiggly stick or ten to latch onto my legs and say hello. But I avoided them today and stamped the log quickly. Great cache container again. TFTC
Whittlesea Event trip. Day 9. Caching today with bushfire and brisal5.
A long trudge through long wet grass hiding holes and concealing rocks. Not a pleasant journey, but we got here and made an easy find. Had it isn’t quite snake season.
I found your D2.0/T2.0 Small Traditional called SUNBURY INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL #2 THE OLD SCHOOL BELL at 13:46 on 22 November 2022. It was find #16442 for me. Thank you Team HurriKane for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Victoria.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 9: We went to Sunbury for the afternoon
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Today we set out for Sunbury for the afternoon with a pub meal at the local pub. Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
This was not easy to get to. The grass is waist high and hide plenty of ankle twisting rocks. But we made it and then it was a quick find due to accurate coordinates.
***Thanks Team HurriKane for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Today I was brave enough to walk all the way toward the cache with my wide eyes.
Great view up here

A perilous trek from the path below- but wear sensible shoes and its an easy enough find. Great cache
Out for the afternoon with LittleBoss2, so we headed from the Marsh to Sunbury to grab a few caches and the lab cache there. This was a quick find thankfully for LB2, as the walk through the long grass in shorts on a 32 degree day was a little uncomfortable, not wanting to meet a local reptile. Thanks Team HurriKane
Out with Bogonghazy for the afternoon. A bit of a walk through long grass but managed to find it. Clever hide. Thanks for placing the geocache
Cache found to be all in good order. Grass is heaps long but the walk isn't too bad, as the grass isn't prickle infected. Thanks for the hide!
Heading out towards Diggers Rest / Sunbury to grab an Adventure Lab cache and also walk the Organ Pipes National Park.
What fantastic buildings near the parking area. I did'nt take any photos as apparantly it's frowned upon when middle aged men take photos of Primary Schools during school days Can't believe how much this area has been developed over the past number of years. Nice views over the top of the roof tops.
Thanks for the cache Team HurriKane. Appreciate your efforts. Well done on finding this hiding spot.

The grass today was about 1m long. Other than that, great hiding spot and awesome view
Beautiful view of the expanding Sunbury.
Wouldn’t recommend in Summer!
Thanks Team HurriKane!

With our gameboard now extended to include regional Vic, RoamingHowie and I decided to go explore the Sunbury & Riddells Creek area.
Interesting history about the bell and area.
Thank goodness we came in winter. The long grass would be wriggly stick heaven in summer.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Team HurriKane

Attempted this a ling time ago but couldn't find it in long grass due to it being so warm, so it was with a happy heart we found it today. And the puppies were happy having caught a rabbit for lunch!
Out and about for a ladies caching day clearing out some caches to our north. Very bitter cold day but at least we can get out. A good walk up here but chose the top option going back. Nice easy find. This seems to be a long way form the school. Thanks for the cache TeamHurriKane we are enjoying your caches.
Out for another ladies day with xambo4u finishing off some more in the Sunbury area. The weather was far from helpful as it seemed to rain every time we left the car for a little walk. However our day was still enjoyable and we located a variety of caches. A bit of a steep hill on this one. TFTC
Wow, wasn't expecting it to be so in the middle of nowhere, so to speak. On arriving at GZ this find was almost immediate.

Last 30m through tallish grass was somewhat problematic, but good eyes to the ground and accurate co-odds, not to mention rainy day, soon had the clever cache in hand and a hasty ‘eyes down’ return to the path. Great view, T4TC
Walk through long grass with my eyes down as usual and saw a brown snake was sunbaking and then zoom into hiding!
Better not go further..
Will come back winter time.
thanks
