Placing a new cache adjacent to this location would seem to be a really good idea.

I have an idea!!!
I have surveyed the scene, and there is a chance I may be able to get this up and running again... different container, slightly different coordinates, but still within a few metres of the original cache.
Stay tuned!

Still behind fencing I’m afraid.
Guess this one is going to have to be archived

Fencing is still up. Shame to see the area so deserted/neglected... hopefully there'll soon be some news regarding what's happening to this site. Still hoping this one doesn't have to be archived, but will see how things go...
Fences are still up, and will be for some time I would think
Hopefully I don't have to archive this one, but that will depend on how long it is allowed to stay 'disabled' for...

Unfortunately this cache is going to need to be disabled for a period of time.
Vic Uni, after years of neglecting this beautiful site, have sold it, and are putting fences around the property to try to stop the vandalism from continuing.
I would hope that this cache may be available again at some stage, but for now I've removed it, and may in time need to archive it depending on how long the fences stay up.

Caching around Sunbury, ticked all the boxes for a great day out. Trads, multis and mysterys, all with high quality, well maintained hides - the perfect place if you wanted to introduce a new player to the game. Informative cache pages, gave us insight into the history and quirky tales of the area.
It was fascinating to learn about the Industrial School and great to see many buildings still being utilised. A FP for the clever hides and the tour.
Thanks Team HurriKane for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

It's a windy but quiet day on the hill. Perfect day for a walk around the grounds. Thanks!!
Found with Meep223 and Redfox956 and Redfox956. Nice hide taking us around the site. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1455. Took slightly longer to find this hide after looking in the wrong spot at first. Nicely done, and a FP. Dropped off "Travel Flag Wisconsin - UW-Parkside" TB. Our thanks to Team HurriKane.
Another great find for the wifey making her count for today higher than mine. TFTC

On the way home from work and stopped for a cache or two just before dark. Great location for a series of caches.
Went right to the spot but didn't look hard enough, then went and looked everywhere else and then came back to the start and found it.
**Thanks for placing this cache Team HurriKane**

Wow what a challenge! Followed the coordinates and took a while to locate the cache. Super hide! Lots of muggles so our acting skills came in handy pretending we were looking at the surrounding buildings etc! Finally found just before giving up. Great job Team HurriKane!

A quick find on a little trip around Sunbury. Parked nearby and was approached by security as I looked for this one. I told him what I was doing as he'd parked my car in and wasn't going to take any nonsense. His demeanour changed the moment I mentioned Geocaching. He's seen people here looking for the cache, said good luck and went on his way. Thanks for the cache Team HurriKane.

A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area today. I may have needed the hospital if I had been bitten by the spider that was lurking about 1 meter from gz. I believe that it was the biggest red back that I have ever seen, and I have seen plenty over the years. Whilst I am normally a nature lover I took the liberty of dispatching this giant arachnid. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Great little hide

Love this place so peaceful... horrid to think of the atrocities that took place here

I've found a few caches up around the old school grounds up here. Some of it's history is dubious but the buildings are a great example of the architecture of the time and the view from the top is fantastic. It's a shame a lot of the buildings are not being used at all anymore but at least a few community groups have moved into various parts of the site to stop it completely going to ruin.
The old student accommodation here, although a little dusty looks like people could just move straight back in. I was glad I wasn't looking for this one when it was still being used. Thanks for the cache Team HurriKane.

Part of my Father's Day present from my family was time to do whatever I please while they caught up with the in-laws... so I spent a few hours caching in and around Sunbury.
This series has come online since my previous visit to Sunbury on foot, so I figured it'd be a good one for today, as a reminder of how lucky I am. I parked close to the first, intending a nice walk with strategic stops.
This was the lucky last, and the only one that anyone else was near during the entire loop. I sat close to the cache position after retrieving it, and waved back at the learner driver practicing on the narrow lanes.
Thanks, Team HurriKane, for highlighting some of the history of this place, and for a great excuse for a decent walk.

I came to the Sunbury Industrial School to complete an Ingress mission, this cache was a bonus find. I really enjoyed my walk around the area admiring the wonderful architecture. (FYI the Ingress mission says this was a lunatic asylum!!)
Thanks for the cache Team HurriKane.

Suscoe and Bushfire decided to head off on a splendid Sunday drive up through Bacchus Marsh, Monegetta, Sunbury, Taylors Lakes, Werribee and then back home to Geelong.
301 kilometres all up, not a bad effort for a Sunday drive.
We had a terrific day out with bright sunshine for most of the day, a cold start with a biting wind, the temperature remained below 10 degrees for the day. Later in the day around the Werribee area and clouds started to wander in and a little bit of light rain kept us company for a short while.
We found quite a few caches as we went and saw some brilliant countryside. We were amazed at the urban sprawl growing steadily, so many new homes and some of them were ssssoooooooo bbbbiiiggg!!!!!
A nice hide and find.
A chap nearby was playing that Pokemon game and so he took no notice of our activities.

The ageing Bushfire was asked by my great caching friends the suscoe cachers if I would like to join them in a trip on Sunday. Never one to knock back an offer like this but did not know that we would drive up through Bacchus Marsh, Monegetta, Sunbury, Taylors Lakes, Tarneit and then back home to Geelong.
We had a great day, an extremely cold start as I had to remove the ice from the windscreen before I drove over to meet my mates. The wind chill factor must have been around zero at the start but improved later in the day.
At least after rugging up the day improved a little and the rain mainly held off with a few spots of rain just before we headed back to Geelong.
This was the second in this series and Ross soon had this guy in hand.
Thanks Team HurriKane

Found by Team Ninja 20/07/16, find number 869.
This was my only find for today whilst on a cycle around town. Geocaching is a great motivator to get out the door and get some exercise!
Like the rest of the Team HurriKane caches in the area, this one was of a high standard. Despite being in an exposed location I wasn't bothered by muggles and was able to easily retrieve and replace the cache.
Thanks Team for the great cache!

Loving it. Harder to cache in some areas because of all the Pokemon chasers! TFTC

3 from 3 up at the old works around Sunbury.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this cache here for us to come, visit and find. With no-one to hide there would be no-one to find.

Found in the company of ST37E while in the area turning some green to smiles, thanks for the hide.
This one took a while and a bit of a head scratch, but soon we found its sneaky hide. TFTC
A nice hide and it didn't take too long to find it. We couldn't believe how quiet the area was so it was easy to take your time to find it. TFTC

This area is a great asset and it is good to see it being out to such good use. Found quickly thanks to good coords.
This was my second find in the very enjoyable series. Again I enjoyed your informative comments on the cache page.
Parked in the nearby car park. No worries here today. All quiet.

Fortunately the area was muggle free this am so it did not take us too long to find this well hidden cache.

I walked up here from the barn cache.
There was a lot of car traffic but no muggles on foot so I had GZ search area to myself.
After discounting a few more obvious hiding places I settled on another tack and soon had your nicely hidden cache in my hands.

A lovely evening for a couple of night caches. A clever hide and interesting history, TFTC.
TFTC. Well this was my FTF .
never got to log it first as I had to get all the way home first.
It was a quick trip to Sunbury after my night shift and sleep.
It was a great hide.

i headed up to find this one when I realised my gps was running out of batteries, so unfortunately I had to return home to replace them first. I then decided to find 'The Barn' first so I had to return after picking geokids up from school so missed the FTF. Geokids and I had to wait for 3 muggles to pass before retrieving the cache.
