Grabbing the last few caches in Sunbury that I didnt have today. Beautiful 25 degrees and no one around. A quick find and great made container. TFTC
Im on my own personal challenge of bettering my 67 days straight of finds that I set a few years ago.I am having to take plenty of detours on the way home from work as I have found most of the caches around my area. After a few distractions in the last couple of days I was able to leave work on time today so I thought a visit to Sunbury was needed to look for this one.I have completed the rest of this series previously so it was about time to turn this green dot into a yellow smiley.I made my way to the parking coords and then headed off towards GZ.I took the direct route down and on the way back I followed the nice winding path back up to the Geowagon. Not a bad day today and I soon approached the rock wall and then spotted the clever cache. As per previous finders the ants are everywhere or maybe they are just highlighting the cache for us to find. Thanks Team HurriKane TFTC.
Visiting Melbourne from Port Macquarie. In the Sunbury area for a couple days.Nice little walk, lovely area around here. Thanks for the cache
Wouldve been hard if one of the boys didnt stumble on to while we were walkong down to the pump. BEWARE IT IS ANT TERRITORY
Out and about with Muggle Husband, we decided to take a Sunday drive out Sunbury way. I have done quite a bit of caching around Sunbury, but seem to have skirted around this one. Today was the day to find it, so we walked down to GZ, where the cleverly disguised cache was found after a short search.
Parked per recommendation and walked downhill to GZ. Quickly found the cache and reversed back uphill.
Looked about everywhere I don’t know if I am missing something or the geocache itself is missing. I do come here often, maybe one day I will find it.
Nice quick find for us today! Lots of ants here. Also the most beautiful tree! So weird, one white tree amongst all this green! Tree is filled with bees.

TFTC, quiet a walk in the hot afternoon sun. A little steep and the long grass didn’t play on the nerves as well. Thankfully we didn’t see anything. Really interesting walk and spot here.
Cache found without any issues. Only problem were the flies and swarms of ants that are everywhere in this area!!.. all looks to be in good condition, inside the container is a tad wet, but the bag is keeping things dry for now!
Little tricky to find with the long grass but nonetheless pushed through and found it
Found it,
Logbook slightly wet, covered in slaters and bugs.
Might need replacement

What a beautiful spot to come to... could hear the rush of water so course had to investigate. Thank you so much for the walk!
Out and about for a ladies caching day clearing out some caches to our north. Very bitter cold day but at least we can get out. Nice steep walk here. Found a shorter way back. Good to warm up at last. Thanks for the cache TeamHurriKane we are enjoying your caches.
Out for another ladies day with xambo4u finishing off some more in the Sunbury area. The weather was far from helpful as it seemed to rain every time we left the car for a little walk. However our day was still enjoyable and we located a variety of caches. Great view here from our parking spot - this is an intersting valley. TFTC
A decent walk in but a harder walk out! Thankfully co-odds spot on, given my aversion to rocks! Great work on the hide, T4TC
After having a ‘boys look’ the female hunter went searching and found it straight away! Coordinates are exact! TFTC Team Hurrikane!
Today I decided that I would head towards Sunbury as for some reason I haven't cached there yet. This was another cache that I was glad to do in the winter rather than the summer.
I took a shortcut down the hill and ended up with wet feet but a bit more time to enjoy the scenery at the GZ. A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Took the shortcut down the hill through the long grass, having thick socks and hiking boots they are now full of grass seeds Down by the river it was quiet and tranquil, would love to take a Kayak along here some day. Thanks for taking me to this spot, I really liked it. A fave from me.
Have had this one on the radar to do for some time but it is usually night and late when I'm nearby. Today was the day.
Interesting piece of history and nice spot to stretch the legs.

Ths was the longest walk of the day and on the bit uphill again I was pleased that it wasn't stinking hot day! Cache found easily.

Caching around Sunbury, ticked all the boxes for a great day out. Trads, multis and mysterys, all with high quality, well maintained hides - the perfect place if you wanted to introduce a new player to the game. Informative cache pages, gave us insight into the history and quirky tales of the area.
It was fascinating to learn about the Industrial School and great to see many buildings still being utilised. A FP for the clever hides and the tour.
Picked up: TB Jewish Beer or Christmas Cheer (TB884AZ)
Thanks Team HurriKane for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Popped down here to check on things and pick up the trackable as I knew not a lot of people come down to do this one.
Very very overgrown down by the creek now, although definitely still a bit of a goat track through the grass, so easy enough to get through.

Found by Mary & David at 1555. The last of this series for us, and the longest walk. Went lookng for the cache when we arrived, and happily found it easily thanks to good coordinates. Dropped off " PROXY-2013 HQ Geotour Geocoin". Then we headed over to see the pump foundations and the remains of the boiler. Another FP for the history of this site. Our thanks to Team HurriKane.
Bug trek down but followed a path maybe a geo path or a muggle path! Nice hide but cransie and krams

Part of my Father's Day present from my family was time to do whatever I please while they caught up with the in-laws... so I spent a few hours caching in and around Sunbury.
This series has come online since my previous visit to Sunbury on foot, so I figured it'd be a good one for today, as a reminder of how lucky I am. I parked close to the first, intending a nice walk with strategic stops. Collecting another along the way, I then negotiated the streets to the switchbacks toward the creek, then followed the GPSr to the old pump site.
I think I've been here before.
Now that I knew what to expect, the cache was reasonably quickly in hand, despite the GPSr bounce you get in a location like this. Cheers, Team HurriKane.

Found by Team Ninja 31/07/16, find number 873.
This was my only find for today but with such beautiful weather I went for a cycle to find this cache. I have visited this area several times but hadn't come to this side of the reserve and was intrigued to find the remains of the pump and boiler. Another interesting relic that I wouldn't have known about without caching.
The well constructed cache was soon located and log signed, the next challenge was cycling back up the path to the top of the hill!
TFTC Team HurriKane!

Suscoe and Bushfire decided to head off on a splendid Sunday drive up through Bacchus Marsh, Monegetta, Sunbury, Taylors Lakes, Werribee and then back home to Geelong.
301 kilometres all up, not a bad effort for a Sunday drive.
We had a terrific day out with bright sunshine for most of the day, a cold start with a biting wind, the temperature remained below 10 degrees for the day. Later in the day around the Werribee area and clouds started to wander in and a little bit of light rain kept us company for a short while.
We found quite a few caches as we went and saw some brilliant countryside. We were amazed at the urban sprawl growing steadily, so many new homes and some of them were ssssoooooooo bbbbiiiggg!!!!!
A quick walk to GZ, a slower walk back to the car.
A nice hide here, thanks to Team HurriKane for showing us this spot, the creek was flowing well today.

The ageing Bushfire was asked by my great caching friends the suscoe cachers if I would like to join them in a trip on Sunday. Never one to knock back an offer like this but did not know that we would drive up through Bacchus Marsh, Monegetta, Sunbury, Taylors Lakes, Tarneit and then back home to Geelong.
We had a great day, an extremely cold start as I had to remove the ice from the windscreen before I drove over to meet my mates. The wind chill factor must have been around zero at the start but improved later in the day.
At least after rugging up the day improved a little and the rain mainly held off with a few spots of rain just before we headed back to Geelong.
We parked closer than we thought we could and then the trip downhill but when you go down you must come back up and that tested out the ageing Bushfire.
Saw the remains and wondered what it looked like in it's hayday.
Thanks Team HurriKane for an insight of early Sunbury.

A long walk down to the cache location from the top of the hill. This seemed a little easier than the cache just up the creek. The walk back was no-where near as tough as I remember. Maybe I'm getting fitter
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this cache here for us to come, visit and find. With no-one to hide there would be no-one to find.

Thanks team hurrikane for a great series. Showing us great views and showcasing sunbury history.
Well done on your series of caches in this very interesting area. Walked down to GZ and took note of the old foundations.

Thanks for taking me to this nice area. I enjoyed the walk exploring the area I had never been. TFTC!
A lovely walk in an area that I never knew existed before geocaching. Kids enjoyed the walk too. Thanks for this great series of well planned and very informative caches.
It was a lovely walk down the hill and there were 4 kangaroos in the area. A few sheep were grazing in the paddock nearby. Another great hide and cache. It was interesting to see what remains of the steam powered pump. Nice view of Jacksons Creek from GZ. and a nice park nearby. Not such a good walk up the hill but we did make it! Thanks for the notes again. We have enjoyed this informative series and tour to complete it.
TFTC Team HurriKane - Thanks so much for all the time and effort that has gone into this great series - it has been much appreciated.

I enjoyed the walk down here to the foundations of the old pumping station.
There was no one about anywhere and being a warm windy morning I kept an eye out for any snakes as they would no doubt like it around here.
Retraced my steps up to the car.
Thanks for the tour today Team HurriKane
