Moving from Albany to Denmark today. Grabbed 2 caches with the caravan on tow but after that the traffic was way too busy. So into the Caravan park unhitch, lunch then back out along the road looking for caches between Denmark and Albany.

Had to dodge Ultra marathoners on the way out to this one.

Received a message there was to be a small group heading out to tackle the 5 Lowlands caches and as these had been on my to do list for a long time I jumped at the opportunity.

Met Richlink, Cravo10 and Barnzy12 at Youngs Siding and we headed to the carpark to make our start.

This was our second one for the day.

Quick find here and the scenery is magnificent.

Thanks for the cache Albany Canucks.

Cheers

An early morning wake up to make it to Albany for a 9am start with Richlink Mcfonz. Barnzry12 told me about his plans the night B4 and soon we were on our way. A great day out and a few hundred KM’s added to the car.

Have a FP

Headed down to West Cape Howe with Cravo10 go meetup with Richlink and McFonz to grab a couple of 4wd caches and some that have been on the radar for far too long. Cravo and me drove down that morning leaving Perth at 4am for a 9am meet in Young’s Siding via a few caches of course.

We started off grabbing the hide and seek cache by Mister Clyde which has been on our radar for many years, but has somehow always managed to never be picked up despite many trips between Albany and Denmark.

We had one last stop before meeting in Young’s Siding and tackling the two lowlands caches before doing the 2 4wd caches in the southern part of west cape Howe. Mission completed there, we had a small task to complete in town before heading back up the highway via Wagin to complete some of the recently published caches.

All in all a huge day out and saw some of nature at its finest. Thanks to the local COs for a great days fun. We will sleep well tonight.

Met up with Barnzy12, cravo10 and McFonz early morning at Young Siding where they all jumped into the Patrol and we headed off to Lowlands. Great morning for caching as a gentle breeze was blowing. No problem locating any of the caches but the boys did have to help out with the shovels after the Patrol bottomed out in a huge 'bunker' in the track on the way to Lowlands Second Beach (tyres had already been deflated). The Maxtrax were deployed, sand moved about and soon we were on our way to successfully negotiate the rest of the track without incidence. A quick find after a short walk and awesome views. Thanks Albany Canucks

no luck today with geomum. checked the posts at the lookout and the old fence and the even older original fence and still no sign of those bright blue sistema tabs anywhere. a bit hot so time for a swim!

have been to lowlands second beach a couple of times now and seen this "ridge walk" but never had the courage to tackle such an unbeaten path. what a pity theres no signage, it has beautiful views.

After completing the Copper Canyon walk, we headed up to Lowlands to pick up Mr allinaday who had elected to continue walking the extra 12 kms along the Bibbulmun Track through to Lowlands. As we sat waiting for him to appear, one of the 3littleblondes and I set off to complete the ridge walk. Lovely views and a great day to be out enjoying the beauty of our south coast. TFTC and for bringing us to this lovely area.

The intention was to tackle the big "A", however a chance sighting of two new caches was just too good to miss. Rain was forecast and there were dark clouds in the north east, the sun was shining and it was getting warmer. Time to collect the gear and head out west.

Along the track on the way in there were many foot prints, wild flowers bursting into flower, the sun was out and there were a few steep consolidated dunes to climb to get to the ridge top where there was a stiff breeze. Even on the narrow track there were foot prints taking our attention away from the grand views below. Our relief at finding a blank log book was palpable and a nice surprise as the last FTF was eons ago. Some of the foot prints must have been the cache owners. To take advantage of the views we walked back the same way along the edge. Thanks Albany Canucks for another cache in a beautiful location.
