Took a few minutes to snare what I seek.
Now to try and find my own cache nearby and retire it.
PS, I couldn't find my own darn cache!

Hello ,
of course we wanted to visit the famous hill, even if today is Monday
I had imagined the road to the parking lot to be more exposed, but it drove without much difficulty
The view and the whole valley are breathtakingly beautiful
Cache in very good condition!

TFTC. Out with Flobberworm! For a chilling wander to the top. Happy to sign the log.
A return visit to Mt Sunday for some new caches, and a quick easy find as we headed towards the hill. TFTC
Lovely day for a walk up Mt Sunday. Nice quick find. And of course I forgot my pen. Tftc
I bent down to look for this cache an my drink bottle fell out of my pack side pocket into the water. Mrs C guided my drink bottle towards Jude. Mr C held Jude so she wouldn't fall in when retrieving it. Mr C found the cache after a good search. Busypaws organised an earthcache finding trip. There were eleven of us. The weather was fantastic. Thanks for hiding this cache TwoSharpe I appreciate it.
Out with a group of cachers to get the earthcache nearby. We stopped to look for this one on our way to the top. It took a bit of finding but persistence paid off and one of the team found the cache. TFTC .
We all approached this with a doubt in our heads. However, Mr Coconuts3 came up with the cache, all safe and dry. Possibly not quite in the place where initially laid by CO, message sent.
Very happy to be one of 11 of us to find this today! TFTH

We had a lovely day exploring Mount Sunday with caching friends. Stopped here with everyone looking. Then Mr C had a go and could feel the cache and out it popped as described. All very happy to sign the log. After that a fishing expedition to rescue a water bottle and then on our way. Thanks for this cache TwoSharpe and letting us pass.
On a caching trip inland with Coconut3 and heaps of others. I shall remember this cache for sometime. Initially those of us first on the scene couldn't spot it howver the search was disrupted as told in Nosynel's log. Water bottle safely retrieved Mr Coconuts3 reckoned he knew where it would be and sure enough, he was right! Thanks, TwoSharpe!

We thought this one was lost, but no way;--- all warm and dryish. Looked a treat to passers by with all the oldies tail up looking in that spot!!! Thank you, enjoying the chase again.
After rescuing nosynel’s water bottle with my walking pole by about three or four of us the cache was found by coconut3.
New Year’s Eve caching with the family and first time up around these parts.

Found on our day trip up to the Lakes to visit family. Forgotten how stunning this place is! Found with Conbat. TFTC!
We passed, but couldn't find any cache. One our way back from Mount Sunday, we stopped and looked on one side only. More details sent to CO, to help him determine if it is missing, or if we were looking in the wrong place. Thanks anyway for placing and maintaing caches throughout Canterbury.
We passed and while searching almost digged too deep and waked monsters from underneath. Just no cache
I wanted to drive to Mt Sunday today but unfortunately the road was closed. So I decided to walk to the mountain to see this LotR location in real life. In the end it was a 34km and 8h walk, but it was worth it. TFTC!
Vacations 2019 - Road trip trough New Zealand
With Geoesposa, this was my 50th anniversary. 16 days, 4200Kms and a few hundreds smilles after, i was sure i saw nothing....
I liked everything, the friendly and civilized people, the way the country works, the roads and especially the natural beauty of New Zealand.
I fell in love....
I decided to go back in 5 years, I easily see myself living my last days somewhere lost in any stunning scenery of this wonderful country.
With the itinerary studied at home, the caches were the ones that were in the chosen places, and a few used to stretch the legs. It was decidedly not the most important on this trip. Of all the visited, only half a dozen did not appear, all being in good health except two or three.
I will use this generic log, not for disrespect of the owners, but due to the amount of caches visited. Here the majority of caches serve to show something beautiful (as it should be), not giving importance to the container.
My thanks to all the ownwers who, allied to the natural beauty of the country, have made this vacation unforgettable.

We went to Mount Sunday in beautiful spring Sunday afternoon. Unfortunatelly we were not lucky here.
Out with BaldEd on a caching adventure in the upper parts of the Rangitata River. We were ahead of a busload of American toursts.
Still ahead of them but they are catching up as this one took a while to locate.
Cheers for the cache.

Out with Tufty on a caching trip to Erewhon. This was the second cache we sought to find ahead of the busload of American tourists that parked alongside as we exited the cachemobile. We managed to pass ahead of them. TFTC
Spending a day geocaching with Tairanium. On our way to Mount Sunday (Edoras). TFTC.
Greetings from Texas! We are enjoying Mt Sunday on day 13 of our 19 day visit to New Zealand. This is a beautiful area. Thanks for providing a great place to stop and have a look around. TFTC!
Found yesterday but lack of signal prevented logging.
Got a bit wet doing this one but when we found it, it turned out we didn't need to get wet at all!

Found the cache lying in the water, the plastic bag was full of water but the log was dry inside the inner container. Placed it in a higher location so that hopefully it won't float way. TFTC
Luckily there was no Balrog to worry about here. Glad to check off another filming location. TFTC
An afternoon drive to Lake Clearwater and beyond with BCD. We drove right to the end of this road as far as we could go. Nice quick find on our way up to Mt Sunday TFTC
Found with StreetWalker on an Easter weekend trip to the Mt Somers area, and beyond.
We took one side each, and SW chose the correct one. Had to be careful not to fall into the stream. Very happy to have bridges to cross these days (apart from the first stream near the car park, but it wasn't deep) as the water looked cold and deep. TFTC.

#15387. We did (over) pass! Another bridge to troll under, but this search was a lot speedier than the last one. TFTC.
Doing the touristy thing after our walk around Lake Clearwater. With kiwitien and reshamfiriri. TFTC

Well we did pass! Wonder what the container originally was for?? with kiwitien and kakariki TFTC
Found on our way back from the top. Looked for quite a while but eventually found it. TFTC
Had a day out with Brendamc who is on Holliday from the UK and grabbing some caches on the way around. Cache has been replaced and in a good sturdy position. Cheers for getting me up here.
Suspect we are not the first who did not find this considering all the other logs on other caches. Maybe gone, maybe just too good.
At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After more than two years in Australia we took the chance to be so close to New Zealand, which is the farthest place on earth from our home. So we hopped over and will travel at least most of the south island in the upcoming weeks.
Our final part of the holiday and road trip through the South Island, before heading over to Asia. Now we'll drive from Dunedin via Lake Pukaki, Mount Cook, Lake Tekapo and of course a quick detour to Edoras.
A quick and easy find while exploring Edoras.
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

We are traveling around New Zealand. We are so glad that we can discover this beautiful country. We enjoy it so much. This cache was found during our travel.
Thank you. Greetings from Czech Republic

Earlier in the week I had planned a trip out to Lake Heron for a family 'Fathers Day' adventure, but when I saw a few new puzzles out this way I changed direction - and we continued out to Mt Sunday to climb it again. Blowing a gale out on the plains but nice and sheltered as we headed up the valley. Passed no traffic on the road in (from Mt Somers village) so surprised that there were 3 other cars in the carpark.....more so too as the forecast was naff, the cloud had lowered and the valley further up was dark grey and clagged in.....We came prepared though; so with raincoats on & rain starting to fall we headed off. Great fun. Quick find and sign along the way. Cheers.
A lovely day for a drive to North Canterbury with Karma Reprint and Lorok. Just passed a bunch of muggles going back, good timing. Cheers
A find in one of the usual places. Cheers
I was planning a wee raid to Ashvegas today, then noticed 3 new puzzles up Lake Clearwater way. A quick change of plan, and a text to Kiwi Moose checking on his keenness, and we were off, to a glorious part of the country.
Had a great day, and found plenty to keep us busy.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Ninalila and I went to Mt Sunday to enjoy the stunning sceneries where they filmed the lord of the ring.
At the same time we searched the boxes along the track.
We loved so much this place and the 360 degree view at the top.
All the boxes were easy to find.
We signed the logbook with our team name : lekiprokos
Thank you for the cache and the discovery

Came here about a month ago. But never got around to logging. Beautiful day in my backyard
Discovered Rohan today with some friends. What an amazing landscape around here. Was really cloudy today, but fits well to the scenery. Anyway we will come back on a sunny day for a hike. Thanks for placing a cache there!
