I AM AT SMUG !

Viking mum found this one quickly after telling Viking dad he sucks at maths.
Viking dad's coordinates took us too far up the road but the hint put Viking mum dead on it.
4-0=0 didn't it Viking dad

We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Multi-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.

Thanks to EeePees for the generation of this nice cache SMUG (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

A nice quick and easy Multi whist down south again for a few Caches... In the rain [B)] what was i thinking. The mind of a duck maybe Big Grin

Post number gather & crunch, i was outta the GeoMobile in the light rain to the final....... via the bushes, unnecessarily, D-Oh! [:o)]
Wet pants and back after crouching to go under the trees and through the small fern bushes after rain means they'll be more pregnant with Adam's Ale than the clouds above [:o] Big Grin

Post find and sign of the booty at 12:14 on TGIF, 3 September 2021, i came back to the GeoMobile a way that didn't involve coming into contact with a single wet bush ha ha.
Always the way.... in the hard way, out the easy way Big Grin

I can confirm that the cache is good and dry and the Muggle-Factor was 100% Zero, how i like it Wink

Today we decided to head to Kingston - Snug and surrounds and towards Mount Wellington to find a few more caches that we have not found and to make them a smilie. A great day out, not too cold, sun out allowed us to enjoy the great outdoors.

A quick multi, cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

T-Tech and I are down from Brisbane for a meandering holiday around Tasmania. We flew to Melbourne where we picked up the campervan and spent a day caching there, then took Spirit of Tasmania I to Devonport. Tick that one off the bucket list!

Today we are travelling from Longley to Bruny Island. I liked the idea of finding a cache with the word Snug in the title, but when T-Tech spotted this one, we just couldn't resist. Parking was very easily managed with the big van, we had no trouble finding the info, crunching the numbers was fun, GZ was easy to get to, we made a quick find, and I like multis, so have a favourite point for an all round good cache. TFTC, EeePees.

Approached GZ with caution on a snakey sort of day but the only thing we found was the cache. Log is damp but useable. TFTC

What a thrill- pulled up to GZ to enjoy a flock of black cockatoos! Quick find after doing the maths. Always nice to finish the day with a new smiley on the map.

Swaps upgrade, black cockatoos, but watch out for the troll.

01-Jan-20
A short stop in here to complete this multi. The calcs were quickly done then made the short walk over to the cache. Cache and contents are all good.

With the new year at hand JL Rockstar and myself decided to head down south from Launceston to Bruny Island to attend two event: A CITO and a normal event that followed.
Along the way there and back we stopped on the odd occasion to pick up some caches.
All in all a great day out to start the year and a total of 22 caches were found.

Thanks for the cache.

Find #3 on the last caching day of the year. Spent the morning cat sitting and researching caches for the trip today.
Found quickly. Took back to ca chemobile for some maintenance - dried out the container, removed the rusty metal item, signed the log and left a pencil to write with, then I put it back. The seal had some gunk on it, which I managed to get off but it has a deformity so may not seal properly anyway.
Thanks for the cache EeePees!

Day 6 of my short trip to Tasmania from Adelaide was mostly spent in the channel area and Bruny Island and provided a little time to find a few targeted caches.

I do enjoy a nice, straightforward and unambiguous multi. The numbers were quickly identified, calculations made and cache found in good condition, although Just a little damp.

Thanks EeePees for the cache.

Got it thanks

09-Jan-19
Got it eventually. We think our maths was correct, but it put us in a funny spot up the road too far. So using the clue and a bit of close on the ground tracker work, we bagged it. TFTC folks !

Quiet road but pretty area. Quick multi TFTC

Tassie Trip Day 68 - At least the rain has eased and it was supose to be a fine day today however it didn't start out that way it was drizzle rain when we left and as the day went along it got better as we wondered our way toward Gordon.

This was the start of the day a nice little multi as the drizzle had set in the numbers were found and the final calculated and then off to collect the cache it was in good condition and the appropriate mark left in the log the cache was returned to its place of hiding

Thanks EeePees for placing the for us to find.

13-Oct-18
We set out today to find a few caches in the Conningham area. We realised on the way home that we hadn't yet gotten around to attempting this cache, and figured we might as well give it a go on the way.

The required digits were very easily extracted upon arriving at the posted coordinates, and a short bit of number crunching quickly revealed a mildly surprising location for the cache.

A quick trip to the computed coords later and the cache was in hand, confirming we had indeed gotten things right.

TFTC!

A nice walk on a beautiful spring morning, quick find. TFTC

15-Apr-18
I ended up feeling mighty smug with this cache find Smile

The coords were quickly worked out,
so off I wandered Razz
Coords took me to a spot that the clue agreed with,
but could I find a cache !!
Could I 'ell as like Razz

A bit of thought about the situation,
and I kept digging Smile
Seems the log has undergone some decomposition over the months Razz
And after much digging ...
... I hit Sistema Big Grin

Hi there EeePees.

We found your cache **"SMUG"** at 9:47:00 L today. (This makes our grand total 18747).

Today we headed down to Huonville and then back to camp via Cygnet, Kettering and Snug. - Ian's parents used to live in Snug, but we have never been able to recognise the house no matter how many times we drive past. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.

Our maths had us looking in a spot that was actually 32 metres from GZ. After looking at the hint we found the cache.Wink We must have written the numbers down wrong. [:(!]

Our cache count was 10 caches today, with 2 DNF's. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Beautiful weather as finally sunny day, drive way to Bruny Isand for explore around, via stop some caches before arrival ferry..
Easy quickly answers, count to final GZ, nice short walk to prefect spot, sign in as no trouble..
Thank you for having us here... Smile

I was heading South with Goose and since he had already found this one when the rain started he went and sat in the car leaving me to work out the final location and go out in the pouring rain to search for the cache, thankfully it was a quick find with my coords working out to be spot on.
Thanks for the cache.

Found the information relatively easily and calculated final coord. Wasn't until got closer to calculated GZ that realised something wasn't right. Back to the car where Mr SudsyNZ checked the working, corrected the basic error and recalculated the correct final coords. Saw likely hiding place on approach to GZ and quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC.

We were out and about today looking for a ftf when we spotted this little multi on our way back. Pulled off near the bridge and retrieved all the info (had to make one alteration as our eyes misread one number, but soon realised our mistake) and quickly off to GZ after all the calculations. Cache is in good order.

Hiya. Victorian crew again. 1st multi-cache find for us. Thanks. Nice bridge.

After dropping Mrs RC and friends down at Kettering, it was the work of a few minutes to drop by and find this cache.
Very peaceful and pleasant this evening, if a little fragrant due to low tide.
Thanks.

When I got off the bus, I noticed I should have stayed on for another stop. Lucky enough that brought me right to the starting point of this little multi. After a short search, the logbook was signed and everything soon again tucked away.
Thanks for the hide, EeePees!

Hello EeePees! About time I found one of your caches. The GeoGSP and I had been on a bit of a walk nearby and this was a nice little drive-by to grab on our journey home. There was a large campervan that had set itself up for the night just near GZ but there were no muggles in view so was able to complete this multi quickly. Cache is all good.

The reflections of the rising sun on the perfectly still creek waters was a lovely sight. Data collection for this multi was straightforward. A combination of accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. ThanksEeePees for the cache.

Cheers.

A quick find while passing by for work - had a quick peek in the creek for little fishes but a bit shallow and murky today !
Thanks for the cache, EeePees ! Big Grin

I don't think I worked out the coordinates perfectly but it got me close enough to make this find.

10-Apr-16
This cache was the reason for our outing today. After a stop at the Margate Trail Lolly Shop we continued to here to do this nice little multi. I remember when this was the highway, the new bridge was built and left abandon for years until they moved the highway slightly east (and a lot straighter).
After gathering the information we worked out the final location (making one correction) and the egg soon had the cache in hand. At first the GPS said we were 7m away at GZ but when I looked at it after we sighed the log we were 1m away. Maybe I was just too quick for it to keep up. This is our first EeePees cache and we enjoyed it. TFTC

09-Apr-16
EeePees Thank you for the cache.
Ok I'll admit it I didn't read the description correctly and like others before me got one of numbers wrong.
The error was soon realized and corrected before finding the cache quickly.
I did spend a little time watching the crabs darting to and from there holes in the sand.

09-Apr-16
The reasons we enjoyed this cache were:
1. The cache is located in a secluded area, off the main highway, so no constant traffic and no nearby houses at GZ.
2. A multi driveby! What’s not to like about that.
3. Simple calculations – we usually manage to mess-up complicated ones.
4. A very good hide.
Thanks for your first multicache EeePees, most enjoyable, we look forward to any more you may decide to do.

We just happened to be at Tolmans Hill and about to head home to the eastern shore so diverted when a new notification appeared in the email advising of a new multi at Snug. Gathered the required info and found a likely GZ with the aid of the hint. *FTF* at 2.45 pm. Left pathtag. TFTC . Snug is always a nice spot to visit.
