I wasn't doing much this afternoon so I decided to go caching. I looked at the map and decided to finish off Coolamon. Then I found out about the AL in Ganmain so decided to find the caches there as well.As my third cache of the day I had a snake jump scare, I was very weary of snakes for the rest of the afternoon. This was my 7th find out of 26 finds for the day.The title of this Cache makes so much sense now.The logbook had appeared to be missing when found.TFTC!
The cache was found a good fifteen metres from where the GPS took me and had no logsheet. Certainly needs a little TLC. TFTC.
TFTC...family liked the container. Very appropriate. No log, can send phito if need be.
Found at 12:23:00 PMWas out this way at a dog show and I found the obvious item. No log like others reported, but can supply a photo as evidence if required. Thanks RiverinaRelics
Found this cache in a trip out to Ganmain. After a sausage roll at the local bakery, we headed out to GZ. We found the cache, but the log had gone missing. Thanks to the cache owner for returning our message so quickly and confirming the find. TFTC
#13076 - 09:25; Day 6 of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune and after breakfast at the local bakery in Narranderra, we set off for home as we wrap up our mission. Discovered that Grong Grong may still have a pub, but no service station, so we nursed the near empty geomobile through to Ganmain to refuel! Grabbed a cache in town before heading bush for this cache. Managed to find a track which got us close and potentially picked up a nail which would see us with a flatv tyre in Coolamon TFTC RiverinaRelics
After a couple of great days in and around Wang at the Mega, followed by a road trip to Echuca, Mildura, Wentworth, Balranald and Wagga, LuckyL10n and I were now on the way back to Canberra.
Last day on road and we cherry picking a few more caches as we went. A bit of dirt road driving, but overall no issues with this one and our names were soon in the log book.
Thanks for the cache.....like the container/s. Fav point for that.

Cache found without any troubles. Almost gave up as the swam of mozzies were really ruining my time out here!!
I continued on from the tip and the light was fading and I was struggling to find the cache. Checked my torch and it didn’t work. Swapped some batteries and it started but wasn’t needed yet. After checking a couple of trunks I went back the way I came and checked the obvious spot - 17m from where my iPad wanted me to be and the cache was in hand. Signed the log and returned as found. Second souvenir in the current series earned.

Day 1 of this years Christmas holiday trip. On our way to Adelaide collecting answers to one of the windmill cache multi's. Took the RAM with caravan in tow (about 15 metres long) in here without any drama. I doubt this cache would have seen that before. Coords were a bit out to where my GPS was taking me, but soon found it. Thanks RiverinaRelics.
Camped at Coolamon for a few days. Out today for a few country caches. First for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. Found 13 meters from GZ. TFTC
Found at 9:57:00 AM with Roostaman. With nice weather forecasted it was decided that today would be a good day to go caching in the country and it certainly was an enjoyable day.
A secluded area where there was no worry about muggles. Loved the cache container with this one, very much in theme with the name. It is always nice to find a cache that has a lot of thought gone into it.
Thanks to RiverinaRelics for placing these caches.

Today saw us enjoy the drive from where we are staying in Coolamon to Ganmain. We managed to drive to within 50 meters of GZ and it was Mrs Jacko who then made the find.
After signing the log and returning the cache we went into town where we enjoyed coffee and cake before looking through a very well stocked antique shop.
TFTC.

T4TC - What a nice day to grab a couple of caches, liked the Cache hide.
It is a beautiful sunny, winters day which allow us to make good use of the day out, as OZREG and myself took a drive upto Wagga to grab a long overdue finds for the day. We also managed to grab a nearby series along the way, which added to our numbers. We discovered many great and clever hides and lucky enough to have no DNF's for the whole day. A very successful day, with some laughters and good company.
After the rain, the roads in to this one, was a bit muddy but it wasn't going to stop us from getting this one. Pity about all the rubbish being dumped out in these areas.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems along way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks RiverinaRelics for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintainence to keep it in play.

Happy Feet 1 and myself took advantage of another mildly warm sunny day among a bleak wintry week to grab more than a few caches. I always enjoy touring unseen places such as this region.
We would like to thank the Cache owner for placing and maintaining them for us to find. Yippeee no DNF's today.

After a big few days at work, I decided today on my day off that I would try to collect as many caches I could for the ‘Hidden Creatures Souvenir’ currently happening. This is because this is the last day to find caches towards it. I decided on the trail that goes: Temora – Wagga – Coolamon – Ganmain – Grong Grong – Ardlethan – Temora. I had planned a longer trail but I didn’t get away when I wanted to and because of the amount of sunlight left in the day. Sorry, but on some caches I became lazy and only wrote my cacher’s name and not the date. TB visit on all caches today. Thank you all cache owners for the caches I found, the fun I had and for the opportunity to discover these locations.
Cache find #800! After getting away from the last cache as quickly as possible I found myself at this cache. After a short search I made the find of the great camo for this cache. TFT GREAT CACHE!

Hi there RiverinaRelics.
We found your cache **"Trunk Call"** today. (This makes our find count 19346).
We cached around Ganmain today. We didn't really have a plan, but the aim of the day was to cache along a road we haven't traveled on since we became full time grey nomads. (We can now draw another line on our map).
We enjoyed our day caching, the walks and dirt road drives were really good but the rubbish in the forest was unbelievable, we couldn't walk in any direction without stumbling over some crap. [:(!][xx(]
We found 9 caches today (DNF'd 0) & thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
***Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 12m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book is in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
PS: It's no wonder that our grandkids have lost interest in caching, there's no thrill for them any more. The trend of placing small caches without swaps is increasing, especially in a spots such as this - where a much larger container could have been placed. Doesn't anyone want to place large, kid friendly caches any more. [?]

Found It!
Apparently you can make this one a drive by. I have no idea how to you get on that track though. After a few goes I got to within 150m and decided that was enough and it was easier just to walk. Neat cache hide to!

Another pocket of bush that really did not want to let us leave, drove around til we found the right track, easy find, then found a different way out.
Adelaide Trip 2017-2018. After Christmas I headed back to Adelaide for a family visit. Day 1. Today I went a non direct route from Canberra to Balranald, via Temora to collect a few caches and visit a few spots I have failed at before. It was a wet day for December and a bit unusual. A bit too much rubbish about for my liking, some people cannot wait till the tip opens.
Thanks.

I popped by this little patch of state forest today,
to find a cache
I found the cache after a bit of stretching the coords [:o]
So TFTC.
As for the people of Ganmain ...
... shame, shame, shame
I've never visited such a trashed bit of state forest in NSW before !! [:o]
There is rubbish dumped everywhere in here
If the council dump isn't open,
then the locals obviously just dump their cwap in here
Ganmain deserves a national shame award

Found while staying in Coolamon on a very wet day. Pouring rain and I got soaked.
14456. Headed out with my harem of Caching Wenches - including new recruit minniek - which we now know as Charlie's Angels - on a short 1000km+ journey around the region.
Glorious weather and great company led to a fantastic day of fun, laughs, tall stories, future runs planned, and lots of finds !
This was the next find for the day. Quick-ish find at GZ after a fun drive in ! Log signed, cache replaced, and we headed off to the next one.
Our thanks to all the COs for the great caches today !

A short 1000km round trip out to West Wyalong and back with fitzy_1965, AngelG27 & specimenX. This was hopefully the last test for my probation to officially head out with the gang on future geomissions as a fully fledged 'caching wench' We signed all logs as Charlie's Angels today. Had many stories and laughs along the way.
Made it to within 15m with a bit of bush bashing. Not much fun doing that in a 2-wheel drive after a bit of rain but made it we did. To be honest, I'm not a fan of forests after dark so I stayed in the car whilst the others went searching. AngelG27 came up with the find which ended up being about 14m out from GZ.

Time for a geomission! So "Charlie's Angels" AKA Fitzy_1965, AngelG27, minniek and myself headed off to the South West Slopes to clean up some country caches Lots of laughs, great company and weather made for an awesome day of quality caching!
After some creative driving by Charlie in the geomover, AngelG27 and I jumped out to get on with the search. The GPS went wild under the tree cover so it was difficult to zero in on GZ. AngelG27 expanded the search and honed in on a particular structure and reached in to make the find. Certainly was a bit bigger than I was expecting for a "tricky" cache!
Thanks for the hide, RiverinaRelics

Cache 2734 on 5/8/17
Decided to head out West for a few geocaches with Fitzy_1965, SpecimenX and Minniek. Fitzy has found so many caches close to Canberra that we needed to travel quite a way west! So we added about 1000kms, 50 caches and only a couple of minor scratches to our tally for the day. Definitely will have to head back and fill in some gaps! A fun day with lots of caching talk and wild geomissions planned. Signed as Charlie's Angels . Unless otherwise noted, the caches were all found quickly and in line with the hints.
47th of the day. The tracks into the reserve were a bit muddy, so careful driving was the order of the evening. Glad we did not need to "phone a friend" as we might have had trouble. Coords were out for us, but remembering the name of the cache was helpful.

Drove in as far as we could, then a brisk stroll through the forest, shame about the rubbish being dumped in there though. TFTC
Went for a drive through the forest on our way to Junee to catch a train. Have been planning a variation on this one.

A phone call from Roostaman, and a plan was made for an early morning run in the country.
With a good variety of hides, we were kept busy for a couple of hours.
Many thanks for placing this cache, RiverinaRelics, for us and others to find.

A perfect day for a 4wd cache hunt and not many muggles around today.
Another good quick find and then onto the next one.

5429 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1615. Proceeded along the track a bit further and walked into the cache. A great theme and we both enjoyed it. A sad pity that there is so much trash and rubbish just dumped so close to the waste disposal facility. SL Tnx RiverinaRelics a favourite from us.
Drove in to this one and had a lovely 140m walk through the bush. A lovely morning. Great hide. TFTC
FTF! Another surprise. After finding the previous cache I drove further along the dirt track, parked and walked about 270 metres through the bush to this one. An easy walk. There were a few webs as mentioned, but nothing to worry about. I took a photograph of one of the inhabitants, but it was minding its own business. TFTC RiverinaRelics.
