Large works in this location with both metal post and tree gone from around GZ with a new road in its stead. Maybe next time. See photos!

The area has been cleared. A tree and light pole have been bulldozed to the side. No sign of a cache on or near the area.

Checked this one out on the way past, cache is in good condition. Nestled at the bottom of the tall metal tree. Happy caching everyone.

This place is riddled with so many places, seem like private property and seems to be excavated or in time of excavation so it is a hard one.

Sydney Courier Run!Day Three: Goulburn to BarhamWeather: sensational. Indeed they are! A commendable series; I recall making a find in this series just off the highway on a previous pass. No luck for me here at this one at first, and then on reading some of the old logs, a quick find was made. There is still some rubbish scattered around, but the other worry here is the blackberries. If they grow as well here as they do around my home in the Adelaide Hills, GZ will end up becoming impenetrable. Thanks for the cache and the series Nibletricecakes. Its officially a megaGCA1DNA The Great Leap ForwardAdelaide, South Australia February 29, 2024Wed love to have your company.

Cache 10774 on 27 Nov 2023. Up in Goulburn for the day and using some spare time to grab a few easy local caches! Last time I concentrated on multis, today is all about the trads! And maybe some ALs ! Quick find after reading a recent log, as tree has gone. But a pole makes a suitable alternative. cache and log in good condition. Thanks Nibletricecakes for the cache and the fun!

First day of my school holidays and I thought what better way then an afternoon of caching. The geokids were quick to get on board, however one stated "only if there is no crazy bushwalks". We chose to head to Goulburn to also participate in our first CITO event.

Heading into town I spotted this one on the map and quickly turned in for the find. As we exited the car my daughter pointed to the most likely location and stated "it is going to be there" I told her to go have a look then, after first checking it was in the right direction. She bounded off to find it while my son put his shoes back on. Before anyone else was close she excitedly said "found it" and then patiently waited for her brother to fund it before retrieving it to sign.

Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC

Tripping the M31 fantastic, stopped nearby for a feed and a room then popped over to this spot for a leg stretch and fresh air. All in good order and the surrounds tidy it’s been many years since our last trip and we had driven past on the bypass, it’s was only the need for a stop over that brought us into town and boy what a wonderful lot of history is retained with buildings beautifully maintained, restored, repurposed. Humans have definitely not been a disappointment in this regard

Will mark this area up for a longer stay another time.

Thanks to the CO for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us a glimpse of your very special part of the world

Quick find before some Macca's

21-Jun-22
There were lots of muggle workers parked at GZ when we arrived, but fortunately none of them were in their cars or nearby, so we were able to make the find.

We've had some great days in Goulburn and a few mixed ones with showers. Mornings are cold but it often improves during the day.
The caching has been excellent though with most hides in good order and a variety of types and hides with some puzzles we have been able to solve pre arrival. We have enjoyed quite a number of multis that have been straightforward and that we have had success with.
We have now completed 4 of the 5 Adventure Labs but remain stuck on one!

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Nibletricecakes.

CORDS ARE OUT BY 20 METERS FROM ROAD. CACHE IS HIDDEN UNDER A LOG.

Today, Sui_001 and I headed out to Goulburn to clean up the caches in the area. We spent a total of almost 9 hours caching and I enjoyed every minute of it. Sui_001 is one funny guy.
There were some highlights for the day included 10 Lab caches plus 2 bonuses, 1 multi cache, and about 19 Trads for me and about 29 Trads for Sui_001 as we did some caches that I had done before. Not sure exactly how far we drove but it was many hundreds of kilometers. I love geocaching so much and the friends I have made along the way make it all worthwhile. I really enjoyed Loci612 Adventure Lab Cache that was a tour of all the old cemetery's in Goulburn. The bonus cache was great also as it had about 15 trackables in it and as we all know, I love trackables plus it was an ammo can.

Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with more than 40 caches today alone it gets hard to write a different one for each cache. Most caches were found in good order except for two that were missing (replaced for the owners), 1 that was broken and 2 that had very wet logbooks.

I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it.

Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN

My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

***** I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges Geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of today, my average was less than 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200-word target. However, given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 200 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After 7500 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 160 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated. *****

ALL LOGBOOKS WERE SIGNED DSD OR DARKSIDE OR DARKSIDEDAN

Out in Goulburn today with Tankengine picking up a few caches he didn’t have and of course I didn't have and also the AL that I have been looking forward to doing too.

Nice to get this one found finally. Came a long time ago and just couldn't find it back then. As we were driving right by I asked Tankengine if we could stop in and change this blue face to yellow. Thanks to a previous log for directing us to the right spot. Tftc Nibletricecakes!!!

S 34° 44.821 E 149° 44.956

After the SideTracked Day 2019 meet at Marulan Station, I called into Goulburn on the way back to Canberra to find a few caches. I had a DNF of this cache recently and stopped for another look. I extended the search further than I had last time and finally found the cache 18 metres from where my Garmin was showing the coordinates. The cache is hidden no where near the bees that people keep mentioning. There was no sign of the bees today, but it's 5 degrees and WINDY, so I can't blame them for not venturing out. My Garmin had the coordinates at S 34° 44.821 E 149° 44.956, which better matches the spot shown on Google maps too. Nice to change that recent Sad to Smile. TFTC Nibletricecakes.

02-Aug-19
I gave this a good search, but I couldn't find the rated small sized cache, such as a sistema or something with similar capacity. The first place I checked was to lift the cover over the access hole ("below the tree") - DNF, then I checked the tree base (the bees are interesting) - DNF, I extended the search checking rocks and sticks for micro cache inserts. I checked other trees. Very difficult hide for only 1.5D. DNF Sad.

Aquilus1, Tankengine and I were on the way to The Gong Event and stopped in Goulburn to grab some dinner.

Aquilus1 needed two caches for the day, so we thought we would pick up a couple on the way out. We came by here to see if we could make this number two. Unfortunately we found the kangaroo But no bees tonight and no cache either. As we were running late we left it to find another cache. Thanks Nibletricecakes!!!

With dty73 and Tankengine we are driving up towards Wollongong for the mega event there this weekend. Stopped in Goulburn for HJs and was a good opportunity to grab a few caches I needed for today's date with a challenge I am working on.

Was hoping this would be an easy find but we searched with no luck... no problems from the bees but the roo was eeww!

Today Geoturtle37 and I are caching in and around the Goulburn area. We managed to get quite a few caches done and they were all interesting in their own way. Sizes locations and ease of find were varied today . Thank you to all the CO’s that made this possible. Thank you for showcasing this lovely town, it’s views, it's architecture and it's history which is certainly fascinating and worthy of the caches dedicated to it.
