Has only been a few years since they got published and lm only getting round to doing them now as we collect them
What an amazing day! We wanted to get 100+ done in a day. We've had to cancel twice due to horrible rainy weather. Today was freezing initially but ended up bright and sunny. A great trail of caches. Thanks to the cache owners for keeping it open for us for an extra week or so after we asked. And thanks heaps for creating the series in the first place. Heaps of work to create all these. A location we wouldn't otherwise have gone to. We went with Flaggys. The kids took turns most of the way racing each other to the caches after we gave them the general direction from the car. It was very funny watching them.
Second day of my and boydclans queens birthday long weekend marathon to finish this massive run before its archived
Day two of caching with dehands, Thelma and Louise style! As we journeyed along this section of the trail, we found it was far less muggle-free. It's amazing though, how many bush wees one needs to do in such a short distance! We have thoroughly enjoyed this trail - it was the perfect excuse for a girl's weekend away! Thanks to all involved for assisting us in adding a new string of smilies to our lives.

Down in Anglesea/Torquay area for the Long Weekend to take Geodog Penny back to the beach, finish off the G2Anglesea trail and grab a few others along the way.
Compared to the others we have done, this section #24 to #42 was on a lot busier road which meant geodog Penny had to stay in the van while we located the hides. The cars going past were non stop today.
Found, signed log and onto the next one we went.

Another assault on this series with kenare and kenbryl to finally finish it, and as luck would have it, it was a great day weather wise to be out and about. Tftc

Sean.75, kenbryl and I had planned on heading down to make more finds in the series on Friday but like best laid plans we ended elsewhere. Back here today to find more and grab the few we missed last time. Tftc

Well life is really busy this past few month and TrailStevo and I who normally cache 10-12 times a month found ourselves on our second only outing this month. We headed out earlier than usual Sunday adventure as we were going to be exploring 2 hours from home. Ariive at GZ no.1 at 16.10 and proceeded to follow the trail south. We know if we get on a good run on trails like this 25 cache/hr is achievable and we were well on target after the first hour. After reaching the T junction we continued on south where we intended to cache our way to dinner in Anglesea. Picked up a prior solved puzzle on the way through and the Chocolataire multicache, wasn’t open unfortunately . We continued on the Anglesea (now 7pm) where the Charcoal Chicken place was just about to close, but luck us they mad us a Snitzel Burger and Chips and gravy which was much needed because I was starving!
Smashed the food down and headed back to the T junction for our home straight 30-40 cache heading east and home. Did get stopped by one local on this stretch as we were looking for the letterbox cache. They were not impressed with the Geocachers loitering in the area. We said we understood her concerns, then proceeded to continue geocaching….oops! Was a fun evening out, and thanks to all the CO’s for the massive effort in hiding and maintain this series. Found 100 cache in the end and finished up at 9.45pm for the drive. Thanks for getting us out of the house.
PS. Collected the clues, have no idea what to do with them.

Road trip. Saw this series and decided to pick up as many as I could with Gunks. Managed to stay dryish and enjoyed a food break at Anglesea. TFTC.
The plan to do the G2A trail had been vaguely on the horizon since GemmaSistema & I had found a handful during Mega weekend 18 months ago. With news of it disappearing soon, we fast tracked our plans. After quite a few scheduling conflicts, I never thought it was going to happen but at the last minute we managed to free up this day, threw in a Wozzle and Perpetually Lost and off we went! After a dreadful drive from home to meet the others in Ballarat, I was glad to relinquish my driver status to passenger.
Signing our names was of course going to take too long so we used an acronym PBWG affectionately referred to during the day as Peanut Butter With Gelly so that we didn't forget the order (I may have read far too many American junior books as a child)...
The rain stayed away, the chocolate shop provided a yummy ice cream lunch (not sure if that was intentional or not) and we managed to easily complete our goal of 100 in a day for a previously signed challenge cache.
We nabbed quite a few extras as well. As I had found a few previously, 108 was my number from a total 116 caches visited.
A great day spent with friends grabbing a variety of cache types, a quick beach visit, lots of laughs and a lot more yellow on our maps.
Thanks to all who contributed.

A big day of caching was planned today to chase down and find the caches in the Geelong 2 Anglesea trail. We also managed to find a few extras along the way! The team consisted of PerpetuallyLost, becca85, wozzle68 and GemmaSistema (Peanut Butter With Gelly is how we signed the log - or PBWG)! We had a fab time. Some great laughs and chatter along the way and some neat hides and great views. Thanks so much for all your efforts in placing these caches for us to find and enjoy.
I had spent Easter holidays at Angelsea this year but as the wife and daughter lean more towards the muggle side of the ledger I hadn't worried too much about doing this series at that time. But when that news came out that it was time to archive this series I thought my chance to find any of them had gone. Later on the FB pages GemmaSistema and Becca85 were conversing how they would love to do it before they were shut down. They also wanted Wozzle68 to join in the fun too. I asked them that if they decided to do it I would love to join in.
So plans were made early this week to meet up and have a crack at 100 caches for the day with these and other caches we may happen to drive near. So today was the day we decided to find as many as we could. With Wozzle driving, Bec navigating and Gemma and myself running we were ready to go. The other thing was how can we sign the logs quickly to keep us moving along. So we put our initials together and Becca85 says "Peanut Butter With Gelly" so our team name is PBWG!
It was a great day, lots of laughs and stories, we only had one DNF which wasn't part of this series, a visit to the beach with an EC, and ice cream at the chocolate shop for lunch! Personally I smashed out a new daily cache record with about 115 caches for the day.
Thx to everyone involved with this series. A great day had by us all!

On a mission with GemmaSistema, Becca85 and Perpetuallylost to get at least 100 caches in a day to count towards a challenge cache we decided to hit up this series when we heard of its impending demise. Thanks to all teams for the effort put into this series, we had a ball.
Took a bit of hunting as the GPS was a bit confused about which side of the road.
Also a challenge to retrieve for those with larger hands.

Found It......While Mr H_3 was on holidays it was decided to clean up this trail before it gets archived. On a very windy day we set off from home in the comfort of the geo truck. So after pulling up at GZ the search started but not long after i spotted the container So with the log signed we continued on our journey. Thanks Geocaching.Geelong for the cache and the time and effort that has gone into the series
This cache proved to take longer to extract than find for me today. I needed to use naturally found objects found on site as I’d forgotten to bring my tweezers from the car and didn’t want to go back for them unless I was really stumped. I won out in the end.
Little further up the road here and I'm on the hunt.

A quick find this morning even with muggle road workers. Cache currently has an 8 legged guardian (but not a dangerous one) - TFTC
Thank you very much for the cache! We are here on our trip from Germany. We love Torquay!
Not too busy today and therefore a nice offsite road, sunshine all over - perfect for our VIC cache during our 3 week Australia & New Zealand travel from Germany. Thanks for hiding close by the wonderful city of Torquay. Now off to the beach with Sunny-Lady!
Off I go to Melbourne! Down from Canberra for a caching trip around the Mega!
So the Mega had ended BUT more caching had to be done!
I've had this series on the radar for ages so it was time to collect I had a great time on the trail-the roads were quiet, the hides were relatively easy finds (although a few were a bit of a challenge!), and it was nice a nice cool day
Apologies for the generic logs!
Thanks for hide, Geocaching.Geelong

He he he... Yep I beat geohubby again. We are still loving our time out caching! Tftc.
Final full day around Torquay and the major aim was to complete the G2 Anglesea trail. Cold and very blowy today but at least it isn't raining. Most of these caches found without the GPS by just following the geotrail from the car.

I did a stretch of this series on the way home from the mega event last year and haven't been back out this way since. At the time I didn't realise I was supposed to be collecting clues from the caches though. With the school holidays on we planned to spend a few days down at Ocean Grove so I planned a longer trip on the way home to pick up another group of them with the two sometimes interested kids in attendance. How many I managed to complete was purely up to how long their patience ran! Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining these caches.
Back to Anglesea with cjfinda to finish the work we started some time back on the power trails laid for the Mega. Thanks
Back after lunch to finish the series placed for the Mega. A beautiful winter's day was the perfect day for caching, we really enjoyed the series so thanks Geocaching.Geelong. Sorry for the generic logs to follow but it is really hard to keep them straight in your head. The Blackgate Road stretch for us is the final part of the series to be done, at times it was quiet and at others super busy, this last part was the busiest of all - be careful getting out of your cars and park safely. MaggieDot, AutumnCS and I came out today to complete a “100 caches in a day” challenge. In the end we finished with 114 caches which we are very happy with. Thanks to Geocaching Geelong for this series.
As Autumntree and MaggieDot has mention we were on a mission a mission to do 100 in a day. Geokids organised to go with Maggiedot’s partner with their kids earlier then off to school and then after school activities. Planning for a long day.
In the end we were able to stop at the chocolate shop for lunch and also finished before night fall. Initially there was a lot of running to find the cache and lots of traffic then we slowed down and everyone seem to disappear (work time had begun). We were sure we crossed paths with other caches however the logs weren’t signed and then the one following was the postman (which we crossed paths a number of times). Also at 99 for the day (which was school pick up time) we got asked by a muggle if we were OK. A bit had not to say what we were doing, and they seemed interested (we were right out front of their house) and they said we always see people stopping and searching then going off. Lol. They will be watching you all now.
Anyway. Lots of fun had, along with the spiders, spider webs, ants, cows, sheep, horses, alpacas and of course the thing we all love (not) that prickle bush.

AutumnTree and I having been eyeing the Geelong to Anglesea Trail off since it was first placed - finally it looked like finding 100 caches in a day was achievable! It has just been a matter of determining an appropriate day - and today was it! AutumnCS was available and so came along as well. We found 114 and had 3 DNFs, were attacked by giant spiders and lots of spiky prickle bushes, said hello to cows, sheep, horses and alpacas, had lots of fun and now we're a bit tired.
Most logs signed as MDATAC for efficiency because we thought we would be tight on time.

This was our 16th find for the day. Our aim was to get the last of the trail completed before lunch, and treat ourselves with lunch at the Chocolate eatery we had seen the day before. Thankfully this cache continued an amazing run for us. Without actually timing us - though it was discussed at one point, but we decided it might slow us down - we were easily on the road to the next cache in under 3 minutes.

We needed about 50 more caches before the end of the year and this 'little' series certainly would make life very easy. Headed out in the morning of New Year's Eve to complete the work started yesterday. We managed about 30 today with a few odd ones along the way. Geo trails made the lack of GPS coverage (not sure why) even easier. Thanks for the series GG, enjoyed the tour and reading the history, haven't finished yet but will. Have dropped some PATHTAGS at various caches along the way for the next hunters. Definitely appreciate the energy put into this series.
Backed up a few big days of caching with another 153 finds out in this area today. Tough going on my own on a hot windy day but good finds along the way. I know many cachers did this series at the Mega event in November but I only had the chance to grab a couple so I had planned to come back. Starting from the Princes Highway I headed south to the Great Ocean Road before tackling the east-west leg later. I am reluctant to do a generic log but I didn't take many notes along the way to distinguish I'm afraid. Unless otherwise noted I took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Many thanks for the placing and maintenance of this series Geocaching.Geelong.
What a day - we cache hopped whilst melting in the heat, and in such wind that we couldn't even open the car door at times, and it seems ants were determined to attack at only caches I was getting - a great day's caching really
Many thanks Geocaching.Geelong from the Wacky one

While down in Torquay for a number of days on a break, we decided to attempt this geotrail. We have never down such a large geotrail like this before but had done similar smaller runs. Given it was raining, it wasn't beach weather so, what else could we do - Geocaching of course.
With the Garmin set, and two iphones for backup, we set off at 10:40. The finds were mostly easy to find given the paths at each cache that has been created by previous finders. We did suffer the occasional bit of geoblindness. The hardest thing for the whole time was getting the log out of the mint containers that were wedged in with the bags.
We also met fellow caches Sims Family and Neville Devil doing the same geotrail in the other direction. It is easy to pickout caches doing these trails as who else stops every 300m, gets out and wanders off onto the side of the road.
Overall, we stopped our run at 12:55, 2hr and 15min for 55 finds (+ one other one along the way), taking about 2.5min/cache. Thanks Geocaching.Geelong for the GeoTrail.

A hot 39 degree day, limb dropping winds and dust to gouge your eyes out and sandblast your lips and blow caches away. What better day to do a power trail run[?] The coordinates were all spot on, caches in good condition and the wild life was taking shelter. The only birds seen were high altitude, being blown from South Australia.

Such a busy time of year! With lots of things winding up, Christmas, family obligations, gatherings and birthdays, we have been very hectic. Decided if I'd completed enough life chores we'd reward ourselves with some caching. Beautiful sunny weather and off we went. A great afternoon saw us with fifty finds and only two DNFs. Look forward to returning to finish the series off. Countless thanks to the Geocaching.Geelong COs for the time and effort spent in preparing and maintaining this series. Some pretty views, serene surroundings and good hides. Loved the cache notes idea - I've been to almost all of these places! TFTCs

Day 2 of our "Big" weekend. Today was big in both finds, time on the road and big in milestones
While sharkiefan made smiley 7000 today and I hit the big 4000.
Once again I was in the passenger seat enjoying the day and navigating to some well hidden and interesting cache placements.
It was surprising how buisy the back gravel roads were. From cars parked in odd sports to odd drivers flying past covering us with dust. We even had a hoon doing circle work on a random patch of blacktop.
Thankfully it was only the humans we had to worry about on the trail, yep another hot day without fangs or scales is another happy day.
Until we got to the final in Anglesea where we had 3 roos close by.
We started the trail at 1130H and made it to the final at 1845H.
