Logs
There is a completely new bridge/ boardwalk at GZ. Amazing when you consider that the council is completely and utterly broke!
As a result the container has gone missing and the hide is now completely non-existent so regrettably we must archive the cache. Thanks Friendships Fastened for a fun time and for being our first ever geocache hide.
Thanks to everyone who made the effort to find our cache

Nice little park and grab. About 15 metres out according to my phone, but found it. TFTC
Always nice to turn a bluey into a smiley. In the area buying some tott, to get some of those watery T5's. Spent considerable time for a dnf a while ago, and thought it was time to return to avenge it. Read the description, and something clicked, though I'm sure I'd did that last time. My phone was pointing to a tree, no matter where I left it, so forgot about that, and checked everything. Finally, got it. Seems the new style of bike park has taken over, as its very popular this morning, with no one over here.. tftc.
#8398 (10 of 11 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)
Headed up to the Central Coast for some caching today. Thought I'd start near Pearl Beach, and gathered info for two multis there - but did not try one due to surf, and DNF another as I decided the descent was more than I could manage today.
One nearby traditional was snaffled before I headed north for more lower terrain fare. Seems I'm just not quite as rugged as I was before CoVid. Grumble...
Still, six physical finds plus an Adventure Lab for the afternoon was a nice haul.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Arrived to find a muggle and his two dogs close to GZ. So started a search as surreptitiously as I could.
I quickly discounted one type of hide, and so decided to concentrate on another. The spot I had 0 metres wasn't revealing anything, and when the muggle finally left I tried a different approach to the find. And about 5 metres from that zero point I made the find.
Very nice camo - have a favourite.
Completed signing duties and replaced. Then back to *The Hademobile* and away. I have time for one more find.

Stopped by for a check on the way thru to some caches out Ourimbah way. Replaced the log as it was a bit damp after all the rain we’ve been having.

GOTCHA!!!
Finally, after almost 2 years of searching, and I was pretty sure what I was looking for, and I was right, I Finally got this sneaky cache.
Excellent camo, TFTC and a Fave Point

Reading through the description, I had an idea of what to look for, having constructed one along similar lines myself. It took a bit of searching to find it though- so well hidden. A fav point for ingenuity and craftsmanship.
Found with the help of my sister MrsCowell23, who's found this one before. A sneaky hide indeed!
Great cache in one of the kids favourite spots. Been past this plenty of times without knowing there was a treasure here. Too hard for the kids to find, but eagle-eye Mum spotted it. TFTC
On way to get dinner and not far from this cache. We’d tried 2-3 times before and this was looking like another non find when I heard the ace of amazing shace yell she’s got it! Not til I saw it did I believe her. Such relief! So well made and placed. Love it. Thanks!
I guessed what to look for but was saddened to find the head of the geo abandoned and left on the ground to the side of the bridge! When placing back, roll the log around the cute tiny pencil stub then put the roll inside the lid, then attach and replace in its hiding spot. Very clever cache. The cords however were about 10m out so I was searching for a while
Even with 6 of us looking introducing mum to the geoworld it took us about 30 mins but we finally found it and boy was it amazing thank you so much
Having spent quite a while here this morning, searching and chatting with passing dogs and their people, it was a wonderful surprise to suddenly realise I had it. Signed the new log and replaced, then marvelled at how natural it appears. I know I've found similar before but not as well executed, A fave. Thanks team novo.
Log was full so it was replaced with a brand new one this morning by novo & eldest geokid. We think we prefer this hide to The Basin Bison which is currently our most favourited hide but going by FP/ find ratio, BB is rated almost five times better ...so you never can tell!

Found it! I was on the right track yesterday but just had to be more thorough. Thanks!
Tried to have a look for this one today but there were several elderly couples walking their dogs around and my pram was only drawing them all towards me, and I was unable to search the area. I will be back.
Yayyyyy finally!
First time I looked for this was mid last year, came back a few times and nothing came up, sad.
Tried again earlier this year with another buttpirate and we finally found it! ....but I didn't have my special pen I know it shouldn't matter but I left it and only came back to it today (with my special colour pen with me!) And completed the signing duties, finally.
I really liked the cache, make sure to think outside the box on this one! Favourite point from me, just for the thought put into this and the amount of times it managed to evade me. Definitely don't need to get under the bridge. Thank you for such a cool cache!

Spent about twenty mins looking... trying to find... will have to come back
DNF for this one, I looked at all the likely spots you would/could hide a cache around GZ paying special attention to the hint, also looked at previous logs for any hints. Two pair of eyes could not locate this after 30 mins . team novo.
Attempted to find this at 3:19:00 PM on 30Jan2021

Drove past today and went for a short walk to check this hide. All good, even has the pencil still. Thank you everyone for taking care with it!

Spent an hour here today. Gotta be here somewhere. No help in logs. Well made apparently. Will be back when I have another hour to kill.
Wow! Found together with toothless73. It was not until I recognise the thread of the words in the description that we were sure what we were looking for. Even then it was not identified by sight.
I often do a lap or so of this park walking the dog, so again I have checked and the cache is still nicely in position. Still it always seems to be in the second place I check. After the recent rains the ground underneath the bridge looks a bit tacky, but there's no need to go down there. Anyway I am adding yet another note to move through a couple of trackables. Cheers!
Here again taking the dog for a walk, thought I'd check on this sneaky cache (it's still there!) and 'visit' through a trackable. Cheers all
Finally. Second attempt. Very clever cache. Will give me and the kids good ideas for future caches! Thanks a bunch!
We are beginners so maybe a bit tough based on other comments. We live nearby so hopefully back soon enough.
I forgot to log a DNF last week. We looked for 20 min but had no luck. We will be back !
Dropped the boy off to go for a ride in the skate park, so what else is there to do? Took me about 10 minutes with hardly a muggle in sight. Nice one and cheers from Browngang.
PS, all in good shape.
PS, all in good shape.
This is proving to be a bit too tricky for me, I'll be back with the kids so they can make me look stupid when they find it
Photobucket. What a mess. I've buggered it off and added the b'ground image to the gallery.

Again going past walking the dog and can confirm that the cache is still there (as at about 5:00 pm today). Also visiting through some trackables.
This cache would not be easy to find for those new to geocaching, it took me more than one visit to find. No need to get your feet dirty to find it. Cheers all!

Thanks riokun, we must have just missed you as we were there ~4.30pm! Youngest geokid and I doing a bit of a cache check arvo together, between here and Forries. Cache is good and the log has *heaps* of room for more finders. Good luck with this, our first hide!

I've previously found this cache, but was walking the dog past GZ today and remembered a newly discovered TB I had in my pocket. So I'm visiting the TB and took a pic for the TB owner. The "Friendships Fastened" cache is still in it's spot, all is good! Cheers
When this was first published I'd more or less figured out what the container would be from the hints in the description, but had been reluctant to go poking around in what sounded like a popular children's playground. Looking at the more recent logs, it seemed it mightn't be quite as popular as I'd imagined and, seeing as I was in the area today and the school holidays were over, I thought I'd chance a look.
As luck would have it, I had the place to myself and set about my search, eventually spotting what confirmed my earlier suspicions. The log signed and container put back, I started walking back to my car only to see a horde of council workers arriving with lawn-mowers. Being the middle of winter, the grass didn't look like it had grown any since it was last cut, but I guess they must have their reasons (perhaps there's a surplus of rates that needs spending).
Many thanks for this hide in an interesting spot.

Found 4:42 pm with partner, found it after some looking around and got a vague hint from a previous log. As we arrived we realised there appeared to be another geocacher GeoWonka searching for it as well, as we approached I asked if he had found it yet, I like taking the chance. So started the search as well, GPS jumping around but it did for a little bit settle in one spot. That spot was pretty much where the cache was located. We started to eliminate possibilities, I got dirty knees in the process and then that vague reference in the previous log my partner read gave me the thought of what I might need to look for having seen this style before. Signed the log and GeoWonka then had the honours. A good cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
All is well with this cache. Spent about 15mins searching. Have seen one of these types of caches before. They are one of my favorites. Tftc.
Well it’s rare to find a Novo that isn’t a paradiddle. I learned to ride my bike here years ago but the parks looking a little worse for wear than when I came last. After searching for a good 15 minutes Mr Damage shows up and he makes the find right in front of me. I looked under the bridge at first and found a small container, NICE I’ve found it! But nope it was a medical box with syringes and gauze pads and such in it.
Nice to meet you Mr Damage and thanks for the cache Novo.

Quick cache check today after dropping some novos at the station nearby this morning. This cache has survived the recent 2 week downpour no worries and is tucked away right where I expected. Thanks all past finders for the subtle logs and for being careful to replace it correctly. This helps it hang around for many more people to discover in future! Cache on...

Cache check this morning on the way thru to Gavenlock just behind us. All good and thanks everyone for taking care to replace as found. We've forgotten how much fun this one is - enjoy!
I finished work at 6am this morning, so had a little time before getting my daughters to school. I brought the head torch and was a little more determined for a search but thanks to expanding my search area it was a quick find thankfully. Thanks for the cache team novo tnln replaced as found sl
1st of 25 finds of the day.
What a doozy. This was about 8 m from where our gps pointed us. I think we spent 20 mins trying to find it. Got it in the end

A night run with my boy. Found by geoJavi. Great hide, and discovered a fantastic new place (one of my favourite things about this activity). TFTC
I could make up a multitude of excuses for my dnf here, but all i will say is
" I will be back "
" I will be back "
lol that will fit in there easy. That is one of the most odd trackables I think I've seen mate! Thanks for dropping by and checking on the cache riokun you're a legend!
I have a new trackable so thought I would pop by one of the closest caches to home to give the trackable a starting point to its journey. Checked on the cache which is in place and in A1 condition. Cheers all!
**WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!**
I live quite close to this cache, so it's been very easy for me to 'pop in' and, well, not find the cache. It has been my closest unfound cache for some time. I was driving home from Sydney today and, after having a few cache finds, thought - what's the worst that can happen? Another DNF? So this is probably my 4th or so attempt.
No one else was in the park. How I like it. I thought this time I can have a very thorough search. Checked up and down. Got on my knees and scanned underneath the bridge with my iPhone (Perhaps I should say I found 2 wooden blocks at one point which are NOT the cache, don't try to dislodge them). Searched the nearby trees for caches (idiot! the cache description says "right here on the bike track"). Far out! Finally checked out the hint, which weirdly appears to be in plain-text on the website but I had to decode on-site. Had an idea and started searching and boom after a few seconds there is the cache. Signed log. I have now found all 3 of **team novo's** caches and they have all been awesome. TFTC!

Little Roo and myself were on our way to an Archery lesson near by and had a few minutes to spare after a quick look around GZ we realised that this would take a bit longer than expected. With another look after our lesson was over... as in look I mean a serious full on forensic methodical search..all hope was gone when one last ditch maybe it's here as we were walking away and wow it was there! TFTC and fun search very interesting container well done.
Replaced the container as the lid was not holding on as well as it used to, and replaced the log as the old one was getting full anyway. Cache on!
Part of the container was missing and as a result the log is damp. I managed to locate and fish the missing lid out of the swamp, will dry out the log, sharpen pencil etc, and put back online shortly...
Walked the bridge a few times with my 8 month old in her stroller finally found on our 3 time across the bridge
Out in the area today and dropped by to check on this cache. All is well although I found the stubby pencil had been dropped nearby so put that back in. Plenty of room on the back of the page for more logs. Thanks again for all the feedback and comments. If any finders have any questions about this hide please by all means contact me.
Second time with more up that up my sleeve so eventually ca log this!

The park was a bit wet but no-one was there, except for one dog and owner in the enclosure. We looked for a while on the bridge, concentrating on what we thought we should be looking for, but it took a second sweep before MrsFish called me over to retrieve the log. The container is really well hidden and looks like it has always been there. Thanks team novo for an excellent cache, really well done especially for your first one.
Some days ago a geocacher (Deejjai) was in doubt if the cache was lost. As I hadn't try this one yet, I pop up there to have a quick look, while I was about. Had a general scanning and spotted a probable place for a cache (empty..). I messaged the CO with a picture. Fortunately, it wasn't it! Today I had a little gap in between & came back. Being more relaxed (not in a hurry..), I could see it almost straight away!
Thanks team novo! Another great one of yours!

Gotcha at last. After five attempts finally located the elusive hide. We didn't log any of the did not finds as we thought we would find it soon enough. Ha Ha
Cache check today and all is good out here! The recent (26/9) "found it" log below will be deleted once I get home because there is no log from them at the cache and after emailing & messaging them I have had no response.
Feel like we solved the clue and found where could be but no find... can previous finder/owner check still in place so can re-think of we're wrong.
I had already asked the last finder to clarify their find but have not had a response. I will check on it once I'm back in the area.
Oh yeah !! Found it finally!! Great work team Novo!!! Second attempt at this one, a few darn kid Muggles around like suggested but the found was made and placed back without anyone being the wiser
Wel played Team Novo. Some lateral thinking once the clue was deciphered and bingo!
A sneaky hide. TFTC!!

Went out for a quick maint check tonite after all the rain about lately and all is well but there are few BIG puddles about on either side of the bridge. I'm not sure if I should disable it just until the puddles disappear ..but as it says in the description, the cache is located on the wooden structure so it is in fact not necessary to leave the bridge to make the find.
Great cache. Most creative hide yet. This was our third visit before we were lucky enough to find it. Well done on the hide!
