Op vakantie in Nieuw-Zeeland, sightseeing en geocaching. Dankjewel voor deze cache.
Out with busy paws and lytteltonwitch for a fun days caching. We enjoy this track down from the top and today we had other cachers that would like these ones also, so a win here. Found the cache all good here. Thanks for this cache N!mrod.
Found on the way home after a great day out with caching buddies. Have had this cache on my list of "to gets" for ages! TFTC and happy to get a smiley here,
Cache was a quick find and thankfully we were in Coconuts3’s vehicle as my car wouldn’t have liked this road
*Another good find.*Nice day going from cache to cache with woolwood9.We soon had the container located. SL: *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for putting this out for us to visit! We enjoyed the drive / walk around! ????
Headed to Christchurch for a quick geocaching trip with tmann421.Enjoying the tour around the area finding caches some more challenging than others.Signed all logs tm/ww NZThanks to the owners for their efforts in maintaining their caches for us to find.??????
Not much of a day but get out and caching gave me a lift. Found some great caches in some lovely spots and some with great views and new places. A misty view of the valley today. TFTH
Parked the car up at the top of the hill and walked down to GZ. I don't think my little Yaris has the required grunt for this road!!
The cache was a quick find. TFTC.

Found with Envy-Us on a caching trip around the southern sector of Banks Peninsular. TFTC
Had a stunning day driving around some of the peninsular. Great weather and some amazing views, and roads! Most finds were straight forward, but sadly noted many lonely caches. TFTC
Found with TharntheHalken on a wet morning when park'n'grabs are the order of the day! Tftc!
#267 first time driving this road, luckily none went in the opposite direction. Quick find. Tftc
I was on a visit to Akaroa to sign off a few caches to and from.
I decided to just attack this one from the top and not drive up the Stock Route as I did this back in 2015.
Cheers for the cache.

#16166. We weren't sure whether the Outback would handle this road OK, so parked on the main road and walked down (the road looked pretty good, so we opted to drive down it on the way back to get to SR#1, and had no trouble). Quick find, then back up to the main road. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on a lovely Sunday drive to Little River and beyond.
We have driven past the turn off to this road a few times, and today we had time to walk down and look for it. The road was in a lot better nick than we anticipated so we could have driven (indeed we did drive back this way to get the other Stock Route cache further down the road).
SW got to GZ first and found the cache which was in good nick. TFTC.

I woke up on my birthday and was asked "What are you going to do today?" The answer? Go geocaching!
My plan was to drive around the bays cleaning up as many Banks Peninsula caches as I could. Of course I still had to be home for my birthday dinner so I was on a time limit. In the end I managed 16 finds from 17 attempts and drove through Purau, Port Levy, Pigeon Bay, Little Akaloa, Chorlton, then via Duvauchelle to drop of some supplies to our daughter in Wainui and home via Little River. A lot of driving but a chance to see some beautiful spots I'd never been.
Technically I was heading home from dropping off supplies to our daughter, but I've always wanted to drive down here. Used the parking spot and ducked up to GZ for a quick find.

Woohoo! Got the others last week on way to Christchurch via the stock route so it would be rude not to continue.tftc
We had intended to drive up the sealed road to stock Route #1, then decide whether to continue up the gravel road, but our GPS decided to take us in the opposite way, so we gave it a miss, and instead just walked down from the main road to #2, although in retrospect, our AWD car would have managed this easily. The cache was a quick easy find. TFTC
I was very tempted to make my way to this cache once I had found Hilltop, and after looking at the route, I was convinced that I could make it in good time. Trekked down the path and made a quick find of the cache, and headed back up again in time for dinner. TFTC!
Decided to go and grab this one while traveling back to Chch from a trip to Tikao bay. Road dry and not rutted. Went ok in the Outback. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
Over the hill to Akaroa to show a visitor around and the young un wasn't feeling too flash so we pulled over up the top and let him stroll around. Being only 300m away, grabbed the other two sprogs and took them for a stroll down hill to the cache. Tada, a nice easy one. Righto kids, back up the road to the top. Cheers
Came in from the top, not too bad a drive. Good coordinates mad for a quick find. Dropped TB. Loved the aroma when I opened the cache.Cheers.
Ms KR had a Christmas present to use.... a voucher for a restaurant in Akaroa. Road triiiip.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

I walked down to the cache from the main road. Its a steep road, I am pleased I walked. Quick find at GZ. TFTC
Doing some caching as we travel from Christchurch to Akaroa. We are visiting with relatives in Christchurch from Canada and seeing enjoying touring and caching. Very windy here today but we got it Tftc sl
TG and I headed out for the first Mad Monday Mission for 2017 and successfully found the nearby cache and decided to place a few caches as well. We grabbed a cache in Akaroa one up Flea Bay Road a multi on the way here. This was to be our last stop for the night as I was waning and it was also getting late. Quick park and grab and we headed home.
Thanks for the cache N!mrod.

Team JeJeBuK - Injeanious, jess.daphne, the Burnsy, and our muggle friend Kurt - decided to go on a New Years excursion to Akaroa. We had a great trip and managed to pick up a few caches on the way. We grabbed this one on the return journey. Tftc.

While getting the Hilltop View Cache, it was rude not to go for a short run to retrieve this cache. Nice quick easy find at GZ. TFTC
My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. Zara stays put at Little River, so with trusty steed Toby, the Seagnoid navigating via phone & scribe and I delegated to log blogger and driver, we are off to explore Akaroa.
Down that road, says The Seagnoid - so down we go. Its steep, but Toby is a trouper so no probs. In and out and a cache bagged to boot. Great size cache. Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 3: Akaroa to Akaroa.
Actually we came down in two cars, the camper and a small 4x4. It is to go into the shop for repairs, but that is tomorrow. So today we are leaving Zara to hold fort and taking Toby to go gallivanting around Akaroa while we wait for tomorrow.
So how about a ridiculously steep road? Approached from the top of the hill - actually, the dragon did the driving, it's good 4x4 experience - found the cache then drove back up. Nice to see so many normal sized caches after a wealth of too many micros in Marlborough. Added an emerald.

TFTC. Off to Banks Pen to help
out a friend. Then a little spare time - caching time.
I love these roads - taking me on a scenic route past caches.
N!mrod must love curry as the cache was a pretty big curry container.
Thanks N!mrod for placing the cache and series.

Like other cachers we walked down to sign the logbook - we are pretty sure that this road is not a problem in a 2WD, but why risk it? So it was a short walk down and a longer walk back to the car. To find No. 1 we decided to split up - bringing the car the long way to the beginning of the road, while the other half of the team walked down. Guess what - we arrived at the next cache at the same time. But for the remaining we may need to borrow a 4WD. TFTC
Fun to come up this road again. It's faster too then the main road in the right vehicle maybe?
Out on a mission to sign off a number of caches on the SW side of Banks Peninsula. After cresting Hilltop I noticed that this cache had been placed since my last run down Harman Rd. My log siging was witnessed by a large Mr 83 and a large Mr 86, who were intently interested in what I was doing at the side of their property. TFTC.
After a day trip to Akaroa stopped here to find the cache. That's #3000. Haven't been down this road for a year or two, the last time was o find another cache. TFTC.
On our way to Akaroa so parked at the top of the road. The walk down was easy coming back took more effort. TFTC
We walked down to this one and expected to have the road to ourselves. Yeh right!!! Quite a well use road. I remember this from a trip my Dad and I made more than 60 years ago. A much better surface now. Thanks Fr.
Heading to Akaroa for the night, and did a detour up the Harmans Track to GZ,on a surprisingly good gravel road.TFTH
**FTF** 10pm
Saw a bunch of caches published out HillTop way during the day...hhmmmm......they're fun looking roads (been on a couple of them before but not Duvauchelle Stock Route or Jubilee Rd). Boys late to bed but once they were snoring....why not; an evenings adventure, in for a penny. Too late & too far I thought to rouse TW so tried KarmaReprint, but of all things he was stuck at work doing fancy pants IT shutdown fixing twiddling stuff. Oh well. Lonely me in for a cool night drive.
Have driven down this Stock Route/Harmans Track before - given the cache was near the top though I thought it easier just to drive the main road up, and given I didn't want to get stuck doing a 3 point turn down there, I parked up top on the roadside & just walked the 200m down to GZ for the quick find and sign. Nice one. Onwards!
