Wow cute Hilton here. Out enjoying the views with my cousin from Holland and getting caches each as well what a bonus. Thanks for this cache N!mrod.
Op vakantie in Nieuw-Zeeland, sightseeing en geocaching. Dankjewel voor deze cache.
*Another good find.*Nice day going from cache to cache with woolwood9.We soon had the container located. SL: *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for putting this out for us to visit! We enjoyed the drive / walk around!
Enjoying another trip away with tmann421 hunting out caches.Nice quick find hereSigned log tm/ww NZTFTC
What a cool shed, didn’t have much time for exploring, it’s pretty cold and windy up here!
I had picked up BaldEd for a trip out to Akaroa and the Southern coast of Banks Peninsula.
No accomodation was available for us today.
Cheers for the cache.

Parked at the top of Kinloch Road and walked along Bossu. Blowing a gale up here. The cache was a quick find. TFTC.
'Twas an easy find as I drove along in gale force winds. The mist was heavy enough my glasses were getting coated whenever I was out of the car. The car was buffeted around when ever I parked it. Walking into the wind was extremely hard work.
Found with Envy-Us on a caching trip around the southern sector of Banks Peninsular. TFTC
Had a stunning day driving around some of the peninsular. Great weather and some amazing views, and roads! Most finds were straight forward, but sadly noted many lonely caches. TFTC
Today we took the "scenic route" to Akaroa. I *hadn't* been advised that that meant lots of steep, narrow, and precarious cliff-edge roads... but I did survive, and the views were often great... maybe even worth it!
"Bossu Hilton": We had a chuckle over the name of this, since "Bossu" means "Hunchback". Another quick find, thank you!

Nice budget hotel I must say and a beautiful view from up here. No muggles about but did see some on the way back from the very remote spot. TFTH
The weather forecast for Sunday was good so StreetWalker and I planned a day exploring the scenic southern route from Little River to Wainui.
A very short detour of the "main" road and a quick find. Wonder where the road name came from? TFTC.

I dropped our daughter off at work in Wainui this morning and took the opportunity to grab a few caches in the hills above. Actually that was 22 caches, 5 cache types, in 5 hours. At the end of it the only dry item of clothing I was wearing was my woolly hat (inside the hood of my jacket). I stopped at Little River for a pie and a hot chocolate, after getting dry and changing my clothes!
Hilton indeed - I almost considered sheltering in there for a bit. Of course if I was waiting for the rain to stop I'd still be there, so it's for the best that I carried on.

Enjoyable bike from Little River to Saddle Hill Reserve on the Bossu Road and back down Reynolds valley. Lovely series of caches on way round to give a chance for a breather. Bit of a work out on a stunning day.
With the cache owner's experience of hotels, we wonder if this Hilton is really up to standard. It was however, a quick easy find. TFTC
Ladies expedition to the Southern Bays with Jude_E & busy paws.
A fun day out caching, finding a few solved puzzles and a number of other caches along the way.
Unfortunately after a lunch break and rock scramble at Tumbledown, it was foggy when we hit the high road again & we had no view of the Bays. Will have to return to see the view !
Great cache, thanks N!mrod.

Quick find on a geotrip around the bays. Pity we ran into mist so lost what would have been a great view. Tftc
We all enjoyed the Bossu Hilton!! Pity about the thick mist that rolled in for the remainder of our afternoon. Out with JudeE and KotukuSI .TFTH
I had talked hubby into taking an alternative route to Akaroa. I think he was beginning to question my sanity about now. Found with AorakiSheep
We did this cache as part of a loop. The road scared the pants off me with severe height phobia and JSando wouldnt let me drive, so about 4km from the cache I got out and walked. It was freezing. My ears were numb within minutes. I was thinking that if I were at home in Aus, I have thermal blankets in the car for emergencies, but here in NZ in a rental car I do not. JSando driving behind me was giving me the heebie jeebies, so I stopped and made him go ahead. He drove off, around a bend and I wondered how long it would take him to come looking for me if I didn't appear. I just kept trudging along, thankfully I did Oxfam and some other rugged walks earlier this year, so this was like a walk in the park. Once arriving at the Hilton I had the cache in hand very quickly. A fave point for the views and the walk.
Thank you so much for bring us to this wonderful location.
Found with carkisser on our weekend away from VIC/AUS. Lets cache on

We decided to head over to the Peninsula with daughter for a bit of caching for the day. It was really windy!! In some spots, it felt like we are going to be blown away. Luckily, we were only blown away by the fun we were having!! Great day, and a big thank you to all the CO for placing and maintaining the caches along our route!!!

I hadn't had a propper big geocaching day since probably before the baby was born - somehow Bethany doesn't seem to enjoy geocaching as much as I do! It's always slower with nowhere near as many finds!! So a plan was hatched to get my fix - mum and I would go out caching, and baby would have some daddy bonding time!! Haha! However even though this plan was hatched at the beginning of the year, it's taken us till April to execute as mum is always busy!
So finally today was the day. A bit of a late start, and we had to be home before dinner, but still managed to get 46 caches! A few DNF, but heaps of kms travelled! Nice to make some steps towards clearing a little more of my closest 80km to home PQ out!
Another speedy find here
TFTC!!

A nice quick find, cheers.
Ms KR had a Christmas present to use.... a voucher for a restaurant in Akaroa. Road triiiip.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Heading to Tekau Bay with pp, YP and RB we decided to take the back way. Stopped at the 'Hilton' to nab this cache. A quick find but then as we were about to replace the cache muggles stopped to collect the mail. Somewhat difficult to act nonchalant in the middle of nowhere acting suspiciously near someone's letterbox!
Fortunately we were able to make the hide and scamper.
Nice spot for a cache, thanks.

TFTC. On Banks Pen for a couple of days this long weekend.
RogoWiz and I may have looked slightly odd just hanging around this location as a ute pulled up and the owners of the mailbox jumped out. Think we got away with it.
Thanks N!mrod for the cache.

My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. Toby and Zara are playing tag from Springs Junction to Akaroa. Akaroa was not on the Seagnoids radar, so navigation is by smart phone.
We park Zara up and jump into Toby, with the Seagnoid navigator & scribe and I delegated to log blogger and driver.
Another one bagged. TFTC Cheers

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip! Day 2: Springs Junction to Akaroa.
We were not planning on visiting Akaroa, so I didn't have these in my GPS. I had them in the cellphone, but as there is no cellphone coverage, all I had was names, coordinates and sizes. We are heading down here for the letterbox at the end and doing some caches along the way, although I seem to have missed some.

Cool drive along here. Beautiful day for it and the 4x4 doesn't notice the gravel road. TFTC!!!
Yes, it was pretty simple. And yes, it was cloudy and miserable. But had our lunch booked in Akaroa, so had to grab a few caches on the way. TFTC
Stunning day for a drive up the hills. What a drive up here too, such a fun road!!!! Quick easy find before our walk up to Saddle Hill.
A lovely sunny day so decided to brave the road to Bossu Hilton and find the cache. All was well and no traffic until we got near the end of the road back to Little River. TFTC
Out on a mission to sign off a number of caches on the SW side of Banks Peninsula. After clambering out of Te Oka Bay after finding TheWanglers latest puzzle caches I decided to head for N!mrod's Bossu Hilton cache before heading downhill to Little River. This cache was a quick find. Thanks N!mrod.
I had a free day! I was going to do a bit of work in the garden and Mrs TW said "make the most of not having any kids". So naturally I went caching... I haven't had a bit of a blow out for a wee while and fuelled up and headed out armed with snacks and the GPSr. I was in the neighbourhood and was heading to Little River and made a quick stop for this cache and headed down hill via a million switch backs. Cool road down.
Thanks for the cache N!mrod.

Saw a bunch of caches published out HillTop way during the day...hhmmmm......they're fun looking roads (been on a couple of them before but not Duvauchelle Stock Route or Jubilee Rd). Boys late to bed but once they were snoring....why not; an evenings adventure, in for a penny. Too late & too far I thought to rouse TW so tried KarmaReprint, but of all things he was stuck at work doing fancy pants IT shutdown fixing twiddling stuff. Oh well. Lonely me in for a cool night drive.
Last cache of the night on an entertaining drive....Hilltop; down Duvauchelle Stock Route, around Wainui, up Jubilee then along Bossu then down & back home - 140km in total. Great evening and a quick find and sign...have spotted the Hilton a few times in passing by for other caches.....Cheers.
