After a wet morning trapped in the house we were keen to get out for some fresh air, and maybe a few caches, so headed up to Lindfield to see what we could find.
No luck for us with this one today. Looked for quite a while but failed to find a cache. Our GPSr had been loaded over a month ago, so didn't contain the recent DNF & NM logs, but logging online at home we now see that we were probably wasting our time on this one. Sad to end the day with a DNF, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. TFTH anyway The Motors.

14:01 had a good look around, but didn't really understand the hint, and the players nearby meant I couldn't look too suspicious for too long.
Unfortunately this cache was a much easier find than I think was intended. I presume there was some camouflage previously but when I found it it was incredibly obvious.
It was also missing its log and had acquired a plastic soy-sauce fish. (An addition I struggled to remove.)
I added a small scrap of paper as a temporary log, and did my best to improvise some camouflage.
However I doubt it will last.
It is my strong suspicion this cache was muggled.

Came to the park and saw only 1 person. Great I thought. Then as I approached GZ. I notice she was right beside it! I waited a few minuites before I moved on. Came back an hour later and happily no one too nearby. A quick search led to the cache. Signed log and replaced. Tftc.

Streak day 25 of trying to complete my calendar - today has been a busy day. I was up early to go to work because I had to leave early. It took me a while to wake up properly, but I made it to the office and got on with work as best I could. At 1:30 it was time to do a mad dash to the city. I drove to Gordon then caught the train from there not wanting deal with the city parking and traffic. I got my UK visa application in without too much difficulty then wandered down to Darling Harbour. I treated myself to a happy hour margarita before jumping on the train back to Gordon. I've done a few of the nearby caches, but this one was close and waiting to be found. I was a little dismayed to see it was a the motors cache since I had failed at a few the other night, but for those I had been hindered by muggles and then the lack of daylight. I had enough time that I was determined to at least give this one a go. I parked at the opposite end to the station and wandered into the park. There were a couple of muggles playing tennis but otherwise the park was mostly empty, only the occasional other muggle wandering through. I honed in on my first place to hunt following the GPS' guidance, but I had no luck. I did have a butcher bird repeatedly swoop me to try and scare me off. But although I felt the breeze of his wings passing mere centimetres from my head, he didn't actually hurt me. Curiosity took me to a nearby tree, but it didn't hide a cache, just a rainbow lorikeets nest in a hollow at the base. They were a little unhappy at me poking my nose where it didn't belong, but I didn't push the friendship. Turning to the logs I came up with a new place to search. It was closer to the muggles, but I had taken my book into the park with me so it made a good pretense for sitting and looking around. I quickly spotted a likely hide and chose my moment go grab the cache when I was least likely to be noticed. I was very grateful to have CIH. I signed the log, then waiting again, put the cache back just in time as another muggle passed seconds after I had moved away. Thanks for the cache. I look forward to trying for round two on your other nearby caches. I will time my visits better though.
Out for our regular walk with a few friends is a great time to pick up the odd cache. This one was right on the way in a great little park.
Early morning find on the way into the office. The first challenge was to find a parking spot but fortunately there is a two hour spot at the bottom of the park. Wandered up to GZ and spent a few minutes looking up before glancing down and thinking 'surely not in there?' Well it was! A bit dirty on the outside but all good inside. Realised then I'd left my pen in the car so I may have to call past again to sign. No muggles on the courts this morning but I always worry how many eyes might be on me from the surrounding units. Many thanks The Motors
Arrived to find a healthy blackbutt but no real hiding spot so moved down a bit and checked all the usual places that these structures have. After a lot of poking and peering, stopped and noticed something that looked a little displaced. Sure enough, it hid the prize and I can make another Geosportz claim. Thanks The Motors.
After checking some previous logs with my iPhone jumping all over the place it was sort of obvious where I needed to be looking, and sure enough soon saw the little red glint of the cache hiding behind it's camo. Luckily a father and son were only getting ready to play on the adjacent court, so I could make the grab and sign unnoticed. That crosses off the Table Tennis requirement for the current Geocaching Australia Geosportz game. Plenty of evidence this shelter had been used for a fairly serious party the night before with lots of empties stacked up - at least not smashed. Thanks to The Motors.
Started by looking I all the wrong places until the clue suddenly dawned on me. No tennis games today so nice easy hunt. Cheers!
In the area on a Bunnings visit, I detoured to the park, to the scene of an earlier cache. I remember that one as being fairly tricky, I wonder how these things go missing when they are hard enough to find when you are looking for them?
Today I read some logs which advised me to focus on the hint, which resulted in a quick find. I wish it had been like that yesterday at Loyal Henry...

Found it!!
Cache in an interesting spot which blended well with the environment.
Today we were here for the second time after being muggled out previously. We brought geo-daughter and her geo-friend ( possibly a new cacher). Geo-friend made the find with very little help. Not very many muggles due to the rainy afternoon.
Thanks to the maker of the cache. TFTC

Needed a cache of the day to keep up with the current streak. No tennis players or other muggles around, either depending on the time of the day or the rain that looked to be in the brewing.
I had to drop YGAT nearby so we decided to give this one a go on the way. It took a few minutes to uncover as I allowed myself to be too influenced by a previous cache I found here some time ago. After discounting that type of hide we sat down, looked about and soon spotted something promising.
Nice one, thanks The Motors.

There were some tennis players in action but not on the adjacent court so we did not feel too conspicuous as we searched. After dispensing with preconceived ideas, we found the cache well hidden but in accordance with the hint. SL TFTC
Came past today during lunch as I figured no one would be playing tennis in the rain. Parked nearby and walked to GZ. Had a little search and then saw the cache. it had slipped down from its camo. I SL and re hid it again. TFTC.
Had to park some distance away in a side street and walk here.
I wasn't very hopeful as the GPS wasn't being very helpful today but I'd checked the hint and on reaching the courts I looked where the tennis gods pointed me and there it was, nicely concealed.
SL and rehid.

Out as a passenger with TeamMerlin & SplittyMiller JJCC. whilst travelling between targeted caches this was another impromptu stop for a short break. We strolled into the park and approach GZ not quite sure where to search as the GPS(s) were bouncing around. We finally decided on an area to search we were bouncing between. What one missed another found and the cache was soon in hand.
After signing duties were complete it was replaced as found. tftc

Out with JJCC and Lucky1955 on a cache run for the Anniversary of Australia's oldest cache...after finding the Lane Cove virtual cache we headed out to find two caches that filled in blank D/T spots, two D5 mystery caches, plus another two traditional caches.
Finding a nearby park, we walked back over to the courts to begin our search. GPSr was having trouble getting a fix due to the structure and trees...but Lucky1955 spotted the well hidden hide. With the cache safely in hand, we all signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition.
TNLN.
Eight TBs visited - Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Frogger, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Stuart geoMinion, Vanlith The Youngling.

Out with TeamMerlin and Lucky1955 on a cache run just completed the virtual cache at Lane Cove we now were on the hunt to fill a few holes on our D/T matrix.
Parking a distance away and walking towards GZ we had an idea where GZ would be. We started searching with our GPS jumping around we started searching in likely hide locations. It was Lucky1955 who uncovered the well hidden cache. With the cache in hand, we all signed the log before replacing as found. Both the log and cache container are in average condition. This was our fifth of seven found today.

Companions: None
Muggles: A few walking through the park
Weather: Pleasant autumn evening
Cache condition: Good
I had had a late work lunch, and was heading home slowly; I first found a cache in North Sydney, and decided to also search for this one on the way home. It was 5.30 by the time I got to GZ, so it was getting fairly dark, but I saw something worth investigating and soon had CIH. After signing the log I replaced the container and its camo before heading back to the station and home. TFTC

I found this early Friday morning while walking the dog through the park. I did not have a pen so came back to sign it today. I found the cache on the ground in full sight, so signed and return the cache to its hidey hole.
Again the iPhone was about 5 meters off. Mind the gaps was the only way I could find it. TFTC
26/4/16. 10:13 AM. Cache #3794.
1 find (Gordon) & 1 DNF (Lane Cove West) this morning.
I started off at "Extended lunch", hoping to claim an FTF there but ended up without a find. I then decided to come here, which at just a smidge over 2kms became my closest unfound to home yesterday. The park is very familiar - Techno Marksman, one of our friends' kids, hid a multi here a few years ago which has since been archived.
I went around to the grass side and couldn't see anything obvious. I had a little poke in the garden and lifted a few bits of paperbark, still nothing. Feeling lazy, I caved and phoned a friend. With the extra hint, I made the find. The new coords are fine, it was just well hidden. Spoke to my PAF for about half an hour and then replaced it.
There are plenty more of the new caches from the ANZAC Day publish still to find, all of which are now my closest to home, but I decided to leave them for another day and head for home. TFTC.

Was on the other side of the park, something clicked, ran to gz and something didnt look right then cih !!!
Found this morning by Nanny and Bo.
The coordinates were out a bit but we understand they are being updated.
we sign the log.
We talk nothing and left nothing.
Thanks very much for this brand new case

After meeting BmFrega and erroma at Gordon Tennis Park we had no luck so moved onto another newly published cache with the plan to come back to this one which we did but had noted the CO had updated the co ords which so just outside the area we had spread out to with the previous search. This time the hide was found much quicker and we shared another joint **FTF**. We all completed the signing duties and had just re hid when Nanny and Bo turned up. After Nanny and Bo found the cache we suggested we head over to Henry Loyal Park for yet another newly published cache. TFTC.
A heap of new caches published today including my shared cache at Wahroonga. I was out walking to Bobbin Head when all these were published so I didn't decide to run back just for a FTF. I note that b@w was out doing Fearless over past the Blue Mountains yesterday but somehow managed to get back in time to pick up all these FTFs. The hunger.
Anyway lots of muggles playing tennis but no one at the shelter I was looking at - there was a cache here a couple of years ago - I remember it well. This wasn't hidden in the same spot but I didn't take long. The original coords were okay for me anyway. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!
