This area has become quite distasteful as a destination. So regret to be archiving but cachers deserve a better experience than this now offers.
muggles have been extra busy here. i have collected cache container to fix and will reinstate in a few days time.
Found with [@geo_wife](http://coord.info/PRPJ9T7). We made a quick find of this cache for the New Year's souvenir. As a previous cacher mentioned the cache is empty except for the instructions, it was also a little exposed near the parking area so I moved it slightly behind a bush. Thanks for the cache.
While staying in Bendigo with our grandson, we stopped for this wonderfully large cache. Unfortunately someone has not finished delivering papers and has just dumped them here. We did enjoy feeding the magpies though while waiting to see a plane. Thanks jtnsilo
**Find #2183**
Aviation and Caching, 2 of my favorite things. Great cache description and size. At GZ we were welcomed by some very friendly magpie's. One even stood beside me as I signed the log. Australia has a very proud Aviation History. A favorite Point Given.

Awesome cache.. a fav point from us.
It's unfortunate though that someone has dumped their rubbish nearly on top of it.

Wonderful research too.

MontsII went for a quick holiday to Bendigo this weekend, and grabbed this cache. Thank you for placing a large cache for us to find jtnsilo
Needing to find large sized caches for a challenge cache, this was my “must do” cache in Bendigo after attending the International Geocaching Day Event held there today.
Thanks jtnsilo for putting out a large one with an unusual cache container.
It was all protected and dry inside after that hailstorm we got caught in.
Your addition to my entertainment was very much appreciated.

An adventure day out was planned with DAB after solving plenty of caches up Bendigo way. It was a fresh day out with the temp not going over 13 deg while we were here. We were lucky enough to see a small plane about to land here and was surprised on how quiet it was. It was also sad to see this must be a dumping ground for tyres too. The cache was found quickly and good to see a slightly different cache
**Thanks to jtnsilo for placing this cache for us to find and enjoy**

With a day off work, I joined Na'wal for a day of geocaching. With an early morning start, it was a chilly start to the day. The temperature hovered around 11 degrees for most of the day. We had a few periods of light rain, but it didn't dampen our spirits. A good mix of cache types and hides were our reward for the day.
The timing was impeccable here. Just as we were signing the log, a light plane flew right over us while landing at the airport. I was surprised at how quite the engine was. Loved the container for the logbook, haven't seen that before !! TFTC jtnsilo

Located this hide after a quick search of the area. We needed this cache to help complete the A-Z bendigo challenge. It was good to have a look at the bendigo airport but alas it was a quiet day at the airport and we didn’t see any planes. Swapped a rubber ball and peter rabbit toy for a word book and marvel tokens. Found 17.06.18 “ 4:55 pm
Hi there jtnsilo.
We found your cache **"Victa Airtourer"** today. (This makes our find count 19132).
Another fine day in Bendigo, so we took the opportunity to stroll to some more caches close to where we are staying at the moment. We found 14 caches today & DNF'd 1.
We thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid today. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels. Thanks also for placing a large cache container here. It made us feel really glad to find a large, kid friendly cache (with swaps) here.
***Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

I once hid a cache not far from here but is was never published because the reviewer said that their records indicate that it was on the airfield, even though it was outside the fence line.
I was impressed with the size of this container,. Not many are hidden this size. All is in excellent condition. Tftc. Tnln.

Today I was out and about to get some unloved caches. One that I was after was a challenge cache and to get it I required a cache starting with J, K, V and Z.
This was my V.
I love aircraft and the Victa is neat little plane.
I spent a little time searching here and soon had the cache in hand and log signed. I hung around to see if there were any movements but all quiet on the field today, so I headed off.

We were amazed at the changes and all the development in this part of Bendigo, during the past seven years. There was a vehicle parked suspiciously close to the GZ, however we think it was a plane spotter who soon moved on.
Followed the lead of the GPS'r but found to had to widen our search considerably before we spotted the cache with its nicely blended cammo.
Satellites today had our GZ 14 metres NNW of where we found the cache.
Thanks jtnsilo for the aviation lesson and the cache.

Being a large cache we headed over as we do like a large container. We parked close and then saw a pen so knew we where close. A bit further and no missing the hide. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
Out for a school holiday caching adventure to Castlemaine, Maldon and Bendigo area from Melbourne.
Lovely mild summers day today making for excellent caching weather.
This was our 15th cache for the day.
Thanks for placing this jtnsilo - it's great to find such a large container, and also to find a good plane watching spot!

We knew that Bendigo airport was being upgraded, it now looks like the sort of facility need for a growing city.
**# 20093** Found on the Vic leg of our 2017 escape trip.
A perfect warm Spring day for a drive around in Bendigo with pprass.
Hardly any muggles around today, and many good quick finds.
Thanks for the cache jtnsilo,

Found at 12:48 PM GAFF1 in the company of Roostaman.
As we arrived there was another car parked, but they soon left and we were then able to search unhindered. Nice to see such a large container - however we had a bit of a problem as we couldn't find the log book. Found it after realising it was in the top pocket [:o)]
Thanks jtnsilo.

Found myself in Bendigo today with a little bit of time up my sleeve. Watched a helicopter take off too! TNLN TFTC
On a 3 day geocaching weekend with the fiancée & the geo-dog in the caravan, day 1 we made 18 finds. The RSL at Bendigo served up a fantastic feed and after a warm nights sleep we were keen to make a good day of it. Today we tallied 26, with 2 DNF'S. The gps was moving all over the place but soon found it. Collected the only TB.
#2724 We had a fantastic day out in Bendigo. Enjoyed lunch in a Bath Lane café and dinner at one of Mr BGF's favourite pubs in town. Inbetween we enjoyed some caching and Max the geohound visited his 16 year old mother after many years. Mum still told him off after all these years in no uncertain terms when he played up a couple of times during the visit!
By the time we got to this cache it was dark at approx. 8 pm. It was a very pleasant walk to gz all the same, as it was mild and not a breath of wind to speak of. It didn't take long to spot the big big cache container. We placed our friends Harrowang's Lego TB to take on further adventures and picked up a swag of other TB's to move along. TFTC jtnsilo, always nice to come across a sizeable cache like this one.

Well I have never heard of this little plane but it looks a jolly nice little affair up there in its blue livery.
Not a soul about near this big cache and I grabbed a couple of old tyres nearby to plant potatoes in later in the year at home
Thanks

Couldnt resist grabbing a cache for international geocaching day. A quick find, all in good condition TFTC
cache has been cleaned and has a new waterproof cover, please recover when returning . inner has a waterproof bag as well. the height of vegetation surrounding the area has been significantly reduced due to the new runway. but parking there is all good as can be seen by the number of cars appearing to watch takeoff and landings..
temporary out of action.. due to vegetation disturbances by heavy vehicles.. will be back soon.
Out to grab a cache or two today. Found quickly and emptied the 25mm of water out before signing the log. The Victa Airtourer is a little different to the aircraft that I used to fly. I'm a purist and flew gliders out of Benalla.
Thanks jtnsilo for placing this cache.

Forgot to log this one. Great cache, one plane leaving when we were there. Thanks for the cache
Suscoe enjoyed a terrific day wandering the streets of Bendigo.
It was a perfect day for Autumn, loads of sun, a gentle breeze at times and those deciduous trees with lots of colour.
We enjoyed a range of finds from street hides, wanders in the bush and around some water.
We saw a few roos and a deer just walking slowly across a road.
We do like Bendigo and we always enjoy a visit to this delightful and historic city.
Thanks to jtnsilo for this hide.
Would be great to see a plane overhead here.

The annual Central Victorian Get Together event was held at No7 Reservoir in Kangaroo Flat today. A small group of us enjoyed the walk around the reservoir finding a mix of both GC and GCA caches.
I've been watching this cache for quite some time but haven't had a chance to venture out this side of town. Today we made a decent detour to make a quick find of a very impressive size cache container.
Thank you, jtnsilo, for this cache.
#3913. Log signed at 1636Hrs.
(I often signed the log book as "W+W" to save paper/time/ink)

Yay, second time looking for this one. Think it was MIA last year when we looked for it. Pleased to uncover a HUGE container and check out the stash inside. SL at 9.50am on a cold, showery morning. Took: DVD and Happy Hiker TB. Left: windmill PT and aeroplane. Thanks for the interesting info about the road names and the aeroplanes. Glad to finally get a 'V' for the Challenge cache too. #4488 TFTC jtnsilo
Found this excellent cache on second go, as Muggle plane spotter was parked too close to find. Left TB to continue its journey.
Found by The Empire @ 5:30pm - 6pmish
After the '9 Months to the event in Alexandra event' in Wedderburn today, there was time to head into Bendigo before heading home. After a quick traditional cache blitz in suburban Bendigo, I decided to head out to some challenge caches in the nearby state park. Whoah! That's a big one! Thanks for the cache jtnsilo.

After walking in prickly bushes with not much luck. Had one last look down and around and spotted it! It was wet inside but apart from that it was in good condition with lots of swaps. Took the two tbs to move along.

Out & about with CPwanderer on a humid day.
We had travelled down for the week-end to cache around Bendigo.
We were excited to find this one as it was a large and most of our finds were either micos or smalls.
But alas, no cache big or small was to be found, hope the cache is found.
Thanks for the hide jtnsilo

Arrived at the GZ and found it right next to the gravel road. We had the new co ords but they weren't taking us into where we thought a large could be hidden. Expanded our search area and spent a long time hunting about in some thick vegetation. Very disappointed as after so many micros around town we were looking forward to a big one ..... especially as we were about to head back over the border to S.A.

oh thankyou ! I searched for it on Saturday and couldnt find it, found the decoy though.. I;ll go back this afternoon to see if I can grtab it and relocate it. I have a trackable to go in it and I'll be ages finding a container this size to fit it in.. thanks so much for the find note.
Found at 1820. I am not sure what happened here but tried this cache not knowing it was disabled. We searched for quite awhile. then I spotted a container beside some posts running along the side of the entrance road. It stated it was a cache and had a large log book in it. Maybe the CO can figure it out. TFTC.
Looks like the hidey spot had a run in with some heavy equipment! will try to find a spot closeby .
With only one half of BillyKirst caching this morning due to a work trip, thought I would grab a couple of cache's on the way home from working night shift... Great little viewing spot for the airport and WOW that's a big cache... log and container in good condition

Over in Bendigo to complete the weekends Mission, and picking up the odd other caches along the way.
A couple of wrong turns and I noticed a cache up on the GPSr screen. Hmmm well why not go for an unplanned grab. Well this was well worth the pickup. while here a couple of planes came in and on both occasions I had to check their height as they sounded so close. WOW a real eye opener.
A Fave for the cache and Location

A weekend trip to visit The Morris to hear about their big trip (No, not the video again - Ahh!!!!!), and to attend the event in St Arnaud.
Today I spent the morning with Lady Morris filling in a few gaps in our Bendigo collection.
Would that be the same company as the lawn mowers?
Impressive view of the new runway today. They weren't playing on it, but the shape is easy to see.
A great sided cache for the area.
Thanks, Robmc.

A gloomy day but the rain held off for most of the weekend although it seemed to have affected the satellites as most of today's finds were 14 or so metres away from our GZs.
After attending the event in St Arnaud yesterday today we joined Robmc in finding a few local ones.
I hadn't realised we were this close to a new runway - do the locals know? Last I heard they were gearing up to fight it.

Oh wow. On this note I'll call it a day. Grabbed the TB to send on a journey. Left a nice pen and a frog.
Finally managed to get out and make several, quite big, caching detours before heading to the supermarket tonight. I've been wanting to find this cache ever since it was published! I wasn't disappointed - fabulous large cache chock full of family friendly goodies. This is what its all about! Thank you for bringing us here Lois, for the interesting subject matter and for the cache

Found with TheQuantumQuark and Two_dogs while out in the forest on our mountain bikes. Thanks for a great size cache
Found by Roma and Max.
What a great family cache!
Large container filled with goodies for the younger searchers, a lifetime size log book and a very geo friendly search area with off road parking and an interesting and informative subject.
We love this area as is evident by our own cache placements nearby.
Thank you Lois for a very commendable geo effort here.
Cheers,
from Romax.

Find #1033 for me. Having found everything in Bendigo that's within my limits (i.e. excluding tree-climbs, near-impossible puzzles and other high-terrain caches), it's not often that I'm able to find a cache in my work lunch-break. Today, however, there were 2 newly-placed caches that were close enough for me to do just that, and this was the first. I new this one was a good size due to its attributes and Romax's FTF log, but I was still quite surprised to see just how big it was! In fact, I think it's probably the largest cache I've found! Too bad my kids weren't with me to enjoy this fantastic kid-friendly find... Thanks once more for this local cache Lois, that turned a normal drab working-day into something a little more special!
