Cache temporarily down - Log book being replaced

17-Oct-16
Went looking for this cache without properly reading the description then had to come back to my car to get the required tool. It would appear that a Huntsman is living in residence at the cache and he didn't take kindly to being flushed out. Could only just sign the log as it is extremely wet and falling to pieces. Definitely a creative cache and in a lovely park. TFTC

Find #2434

I'm getting to the point where I have found most caches in Bayside which is both satisfying and disappointing to some degree. I had two close together here which I diverted for on my comment home from work today. I headed here first and realised I hadn't planned appropriately and was missing a key resource. After making another find nearby and a quick diversion to a retail outlet I was able to come back to this one. With just one muggle and child in the park to avoid I was able to make a swift cache retrieval and return. Only issues (as other finders have noted is a wet log which makes signing a little tricky. Took nothing left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache eggs online.

Out and about today collecting caches.. this was one. Thanks

Working through my days found to ensure I have two finds on every day of the year to qualify for a recent challenge. This was one of the closest to home, so arming ourselves with the required tools, EB nano and I made the quick drive.
Once at gz we made the quick retrieval and signed the very very wet log, thanks to my power tank pen. The log will need replacing however
Thanks for the fun cache

Great geocache. Log is drenched though

Sometimes the simplest of ideas make the best cache hides. This is one of those
As this is the 1st of it's type that I have come across, take a fav point from me. Many thanx to eggs_online

Easy find and compared to others of this type fairly easy to access.
The log is very damp. Would suggest an o-ring to keep out the moisture.
Thanks for the fun.

Find #2618. Found @10:30 with j-bean after his team beat one of the local soccer teams (8 goals to 3).

This one of the caches I found as part of my Geosportz 2016 Triathlon event.

I didn't read the cache page until we were on site, and of course, today was the day that j-bean forgot to bring a drink bottle with him to his soccer game. Luckily there was an abandoned suitable container nearby. We were able to complete the necessary task with j-bean making a few back and forth trips to the nearby source, while I was stopping our hard work from going to waste.

The log sheet is quite damp, and I initially hard a bit of difficulty making our mark, but got there in the end.

Took nothing, left nothing, signed log, and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache eggs_online

I was almost at GZ before I realised what was required. Fortunately I always carry the necessary in the car and the rest was easy, thanks.

This is actually the smartest cache we've ever found! Loved it, TFTC Big Grin

Dastardly and clever. Fortunately I had the right tool back in the car. Too bad I didn't take it with me from the start. I will have to do something similar when I get back home to Canada. TFTC.

Doing a quick geocaching run after school pick up and found this great cache. It's always nice to see a cache with some exciting attributes. Geoson loved it. Thanks for the cache and a favourite point from us.

After finding the initial spot, I realised that I was very THIRSTY and needed a bottle refill. I had heard this one was fun and came over the log it. Not too soon the log was in hand and this was being written. TFTC

*20/05/2016, Found @ 7:28 PM, Find # 5364.*

Tonight, I headed out with my kayak to attend the friendly floatees event on Herring Island but before I arrived there, I found a few other on the way, this was one of them.
After reading the cache the cache description for this one, I made sure that I had the required tool packed in the car.
I made my way to this park and made my way in the dark to GZ, the cache holder was easily spotted, I then applied the required tool and the cache was soon in my hands, the log was sign and the cache was placed back into its keeper.

**Thanks to eggs_online + Snifferdawg for placing this cache.**

Nice find in a nice park. Done a few of these ones now TFTC

16-May-16
Stopping by just on dusk, the park was completely deserted. With my supply in hand I headed over to GZ and soon spotted this well constructed hide. Doing what needed to be done it all worked very neatly and I was soon adding my name to the log.

Thanks to eggs_online + Snifferdawg for placing this cache.

Tftc this one was really cool. A bit dodgy standing there when a car pulls up right in front of you and parks. Thanks

**Find #418 @ 2:05PM on the 14 May 2016**
4bait, 1k2ate, maffn and I had a few caches in this area that had to be cleaned up to get them off the map,
we got things prepared at home for this cache as i have an exact type of this cache so i knew exactly what was needed, we got into the car headed down on our way talking about various things including **rhubarb** pie and about wanting to win a competition on the geocaching Facebook page which where a person picked two words to use in a log this weekend fingers crossed i win,
but with that out the way we got to the park sussed it out and a quick walk over to GZ the cache holder was found emphasis on the cache HOLDER was found, now to retrieve this cache is the fun bit, we starting using the special tool that was needed as two cars drove past extremely slowly giving a **malevolent** glare and probably asking themselves what on this earth are they doing? They moved on as we stared back we finished what we needed to do and the cache was in hand, dried our hands off and signed the log

This cache put a smile on the map but more importantly a smile on my face
This cache deserved a favourite point for the creativity and well-designed holder
THANKS FOR THE CACHE

Today was another P366 day for me. Before I headed off to uni later in the afternoon I managed to run out and find this one to fill in the square today.

I came prepared after reading the description (always a wise idea). With very few muggles around I did the dirty deed and soon my name was in the logbook Big Grin

Thanks for a great little cache guys!

I was just finishing up some things I was doing and getting ready to go to bed, when this notification came through. It sounded like an interesting, though familiar hide, in a location where I had found another cache some time ago.
I prepared with what I assumed were the required essentials, and drove to the nearby location, and fairly quickly found what I had been looking for. I checked for something, did what I had to do, then realised my initial scan had missed something.
I needed to return to my car for more supplies, and just then Justin from The-M-Fam arrived.
We together did was had to be done and the joint FTF was in the bag.
I've done 6 or 8 of these types of caches now, and this was a good implementation of the method. In fact an excellent first cache, so I think I'll give it a fav point.
The conditions were a bit cold and blustery but I was glad I made the attempt, and it was good to hear that Justin had done well in the Tasmanian Targa, coming in third overall.
**Thanks for the cache eggs-online**

Find # 301
FTF @ 12:25am 2/05/2016 with gmj3191

Ding-ding went my phone as I was getting ready for bed. Hmmm, I'll have a quick look but it is probably not within chasing distance at midnight. Bugger, it's only a couple of kms away. Do I/don't I, oh alright then, I haven't done a GC for this weekend so I'll duck out without anyone noticing as the rest of the family is sound asleep.
Headed off in the car, ensuring I wouldn't get thirsty, only to have the phone ring half way there. The geowife was checking where I was as apparently geoson 2 had heard me driving off. Sprung Sad
After ending the call to the sounds of "you're crazy", I arrived at gz only to see the locally familiar gold coloured 4by4. I then noticed a suspicious character wandering around that turned out to be the owner of said 4by4. So I joined in the suspiciousness carrying my thirst quenching apparati. With one of us pretending to be the little boy at the dike and the other trying to have a drink but missing their mouth altogether, we managed to rise to the occasion and get the treasure. With the log signed, it was time to beat a quick retreat from the blustery conditions and head home to a waiting bed.
Thanks for the midnight adventure and a nicely crafted cache so we'll give it a tick.
