More than 3 years since publication, and just 9 finds here.
It does indeed seem that people don't like doing multis Big Grin!

Clifton Hill may be the inner-city spot [where hipsters feared to tread](https://www.domain.com.au/news/clifton-hill-the-innercity-spot-where-hipsters-feared-to-tread-until-maybe-now-20171017-gz2orf/), but some of them have immigrated to the area. The fights are still ongoing, though, but nowadays they're more likely to be fighting over who has the edgiest beard or who makes the most organic deconstructed latte. As the demographics change they may even eventually get someone around here literate enough to read one of those manuals, so don't give up hope yet.

Nowadays some of the locals may get their delight from a single-source origin coffee. The source of our own delight was up in the tree at the cache. I can confirm GZ was organic, the container is of a recyclable material, and that no animals were harmed in retrieving the cache. Except maybe some ants, but they don't count because they're not cute and fluffy.

The end of a very very long day. Starting on dark and finishing on dark.

Hiking. Paddling. Now one last tree climb. 'Under 1 hr' the attribute says.

That's doable. And under one hour it was. First shot, line in, up and the cache before you know it. Gotta say tho, hows the sunset view. Sorry Joe, may hang about a little longer and enjoy it up here.

i did realise one thing last night however. This may be my last urban tree climb. After so many days climbing aorund Port Melbourne and outskirts, today may be the final climb, as the CO has gone quiet with climbs. Which is a deficit for the game. So finishing with a nice easy climb, first shot and great views, was a perfect way to wrap up.

Thanks - a FP from me.

*13 Jul 2019, Found @5:03 pm, Find # 3110.*

Another TTC and an opportunity to add one more T5 to the grid. Well this one was certainly positioned a little different than the last. With the rope in place I would be climbing out in the open and with no tree trunk to grab hold off should I feel the need to. After setting up the ropes we had to take cover while a rain shower blew over. Both Lex and Peta had now climbed the tree and it was my turn. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this rhythm. I made my way to the top hopeful to get a glimpse of some footy players in their sweaty gear. Sadly the game was over. Back on the ground now my thighs a little sore, but maybe thats a good things. Another successful tree climb to tick off the list.

**Thanks to º for placing this cache.**

Tree number 2 for the afternoon of "T5 not quantity" in the city.
We rocked up to this one to be met with a whole bunch of large and mini muggles, but a quick 10 minute rain shower had us sheltering in the bushes and them nicking off....
With coast clear, the rope was flung up in the tree and up I went to scribble my name in the log, after clearing out the spiders and ants and stuff, then it was the girls turn to come up one at a time and mark their mark in the log, which was quite the stretch for them as it turns out, they are much shorter than me Very Happy
While as this ropey fun was going on, there was a footy game in full swing nearby, and it must have been a very interesting game as, according to all the spectators, everyone on the field was blind.. the ref, and all the players from both sides....I was surprised there weren't a bunch of guide dogs out there on the field.....

So it was crash at Chateau Smith this weekend for Skullracing and Jascat - which was more than welcome with geoD absent from home for some months it was nice to have company.
A rare opportunity to climb some trees wasn't to be missed - so we all piled into the soccer mum car and off we went.
Found a great Toastie Cafe for lunch and with bellies full it was off to the next tree. Some many months ago we won the war with Northcote after having breakfast in the nearby cafe ... another great recommendation for coffee & food.
At GZ we hid in the bushes to avoid getting too wet from the passing rain shower. Then it was a quick climb up and even quicker decent.
thanks for the cache and thanks to Skullracing for supplying the gear

Having just completed the COs nearby Abseil Challenge Cache this was the next cache for us to attempt, and how lucky were we to find ourselves in the company of two very able bodied, competent and highly experienced local T5 cachers - it's always so much more fun to do this type of cache with other like minded friendly cachers! The truly brilliant line setter was deployed with great success to the delight of Mrs Team GBS who is much more used to standing around for a lot longer while waiting for a line to be set - the local gathering of ladies at the nearby picnic table weren't so impressed and so they all shuffled off without a word - a pity as they missed the best part of the show! Anyway, with the ladies out of the way the brilliant missile line launcher was able to be safely redeployed from a better position and the line was then quickly up. Well done to n0w0rries for having resuscitated the cache - then it was Mr Team GBS's turn to quickly shimmy up the line, throw his leg over the branch to sit comfortably while carrying out the admin at the cache, and then in his usual fashion zip rapidly back down to the ground again in no time at all. Thanks so much for the cache and a favourite point awarded. Greetings from Zimbabwe

An impromptu caching adventure with Team GBS.
One abseil and a tree climb.
It's small wonder that Northcote lost the war, their artillery appears to perform at right angles.
One shot was all it took for them to lay down their arms, little or no commitment made for a short skirmish.
Various methods were attempted with mixed results. In the end I managed to swap lines and continue to GZ, unassisted. It is amazing what a difference it makes when you come prepared. Firstly a loss of 40 kg and copious amounts of exercise and hiking.
It seems getting off the couch has many rewards.
The descent was rather sedate but then I was back to Terra Firma.
Once again, it seems that I have no idea what day it is.
Oh well. Have a green ale for me tomorrow!
Gavin was up, signed and down before you could tie a figure eight knot!
A fitting end to a brilliant day!
Add in a bonus of 415 {unloved} days. [^]

After leaving a nearby event we spied a strange new species of cat in a tree! Not knowing if it was stuck or not, we decided to pull over and check if all was ok . Looking up into the tree we realised the blue headed , green striped body new breed of cat was indeed NOT stuck but having fun with ropes. Wow, what a strange breed of cat we have found. After googling it we realised we could be looking at the Emerald cat that became famous on the streets of Varna, Bulgaria after sleeping on paint tins in the nearby construction site, the resemblance was uncanny.
"Are you OK up there pussy?" Yes , was the reply, OMG, it talks , what form of madness is this? A blue/green cat that climbs trees with ropes and understands the English language as well. Maybe its us that is crazy and this is all just a figment of our imagination but whatever , we were happy to play along with Emerald and wait for her descent before having a go with the ropes and climbing the tree as well.
Thanks ° for the tree climb fun and introducing us to "Emerald".

I figured that I would have time for one quick cache before I had to attend the annual Rita-Norma sponge bake off. (I’m sure every family has one of those days, right). We were pretty lucky and got the line up second shot, which made for a nice quick climb. A man waiting at the bus stop did give me a second look when I was up top. As I see there have been suggestions of “you are a sisi cacher if you don’t take a photo (which I think is amusing as I don’t take photos, I’m a very no -photogenic person, and have a philosophy that I only need prove things to myself), I have attached a photo in my newly made selfi-mask. There is, in existence, photos taken by others, but well, I don’t like them . I am female after all. MontsII refuses to climb (or kayak I’m noticing). TFTC º

###Jeez! that was close###

##“Aye, fight and you may die. Run and you’ll live — at least a while. And, dying in your beds many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!?!##

*Its not often I find myself near the front line but today events unfolded that I was able to see first hand the devastation this war had brought to the area. Collateral damage was everywhere to be seen, GZ of the last shell fired was frighting, but still nearby small children played on oblivious to the carnage that lay all around.
I could have easily left this scene and not risked my own life but how would I have lived with myself in years to come knowing theses small children would no longer have there freedom*

Real estate is really expensive.
If you could double the size of your purchase, would that make you happy.
Well the bananas this week doubled the floor area
And yes
We are really happy.

A small penetration has opened up an area rarely utalised. With this additional space a climbing area was allocated.
Up and down
Up and down.
B2 was impressed.
Archie not so.

New climbing techniques were tested with a myriad of home made equipment including rope and buckles. It was going just dandy. It is comforting to know that if anything goes wrong, a comfortable bed is nearby.

But out on site when it really counts, things were not going to plan. More methods were tested in the field. But we are getting there.
It is good to know that things are also becoming streamlined.

So up we go, knowing from up there we could see most of the expensive real estate.
