Found with minniek on our way home after a caching adventure weekend.Day 2 of our Colo River Region Caching Adventure. After an amazing days caching yesterday mainly on the river, it was time for some bushwalking for caches today. The main aim were the Challenges and Yin Yang series (or at least as many as we had solved). After that we started heading home. We diverted to grab this one as we missed it last month. A quick find and sign. Thanks Fuchsia Briefs !!
Solved this puzzle during Covid's 1st lockdown. No idea why it's taken me this long to look for the cache. Thanks for the challenge
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Hoping to collect some of the new Puzzle, Wherigo, and Letterbox caches, and a new Adventure Lab, that have appeared around Warragamba since our last visit to the area. Will also be returning to the lower Blue Mountains for a couple of new Adventure Labs and a challenge cache, and revisiting a few DNFs from the previous trip, mostly NE of Penrith. Photos will be uploaded to some logs on our return to home base. This was our 1st of 11 finds for the day (day 1), and 1st find of the holiday.
After suffering a DNF for our first cache stop of the holiday we next arrived at this one, which the family's chief puzzle solver had solved some time ago, and it was to be a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, noted down the code, then replaced as found. Thanks Fuchsia Briefs for the puzzle & cache.

Find #6036
I had been meaning to solve this cache since it was published about 6 years ago but never got around to it -- I manage to find some time this year to solve and an opportunity to head out to GZ and find the cache today, the log was slightly damp but still signable. TFTC Fuchsia Briefs!
Could not find, also a little confused. Will try to solve puzzle first and will return.
Solved this one a while back but now I can leave my LGA to do it. Just the final now.
Solved a while ago but only recently allowed out of my LGA to come find this one. Nice hiding place.
Found on a lazy afternoon out in the suburbs. Should eventually get to all of the horcruxes... at some point. Thanks for the cache!
Nice quick one after solving the puzzle previously. Thanks for this series. TFTC.

I decided I needed a break from working-from-home and drove in the direction of Riverstone for a few puzzle caches. This area is full of development, and it will only be a matter of time before also this area will be build upon. Not much of a nature reserve, it is just a grassy hill.
The cache took a bit of time, and in the end I found it in the first placed I looked into, 15 minutes earlier. But this time I bent down a bit more a saw the well hidden box.

In this part of the world today doing Adventure Labs. This one, which I'd solved at some point, popped up on my geo-map as I made my way to Riverstone and so I made a quick detour to GZ where I made a quick find.
Thanks mfor the hide Fuschia Briefs.

Liked this one. Easier puzzle compared to some others in this series. Took a few minutes to completely understand what to do with the co ordinates. Parked close by to gz tonight. Quick find. Cache all good. Signed and replaced. Took photo of final hint. Thanks for the series. Fav point.
Found in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks puzzle spoiler for the answers. Tftc
After quite a time stuck in the bowels of Hogwarts frozen when a mortis spell backfired we are once again on the trail of he who should not be named.
Waded in the wrong way and covered ourselves in evil famers friends... Sure signs the Dark one has been here. Signed and replaced the Diary.

A nice puzzle and a good location for a cache. Found the container out in the open but all was well. Replaced it into the suitable hiding hole with some cover. Should be obvious to a geocacher. TFTC

This one has ended up being one of the closest to home. Has worked it out several months ago and just needed some incentive to stop and look in daylight. Had some time today to swing by and search and was rewarded, by I nicely hidden cache. Building my numbers for a milestone cache in Alaska next year. TFTC
Worked out the co-ords of these guys with a lot of help from geocaching friends and today was the day to go find the other five that will give me the six ( Horcrux’s ) and the final to go now that I have all the codes. My plan was to go to #5, #4, #3, #2, and the across to #1 but that all changed.
I had a list to go find these guys but a couple of young girls having a chat right at GZ of # 4 upset my plans so headed off to #3 (The Locket) and then decided that # 2 (The Ring) would be next and then a bit of a drive to # 1 ( The Diary ) and then had to return to # 4 (The Locket ) to complete the five caches that was on my list to find today.
Another one that is off the road a little and good camo used for the hide
On arrival home I was in the poo because of the time facture but then all geocachers have the same problems.
Noted the number in log book for the final cache.
Thanks Fuchsia Briefs for placing these caches.

Last of the series except for the final that we do not know what to do to solve - odd that this one is so far away from the rest of the pack?

As I had been working on these puzzles with LouLou0212 it was good to finally be able to make the finds on them. Now we just need Harry for the final! I love the effort you have gone to for these caches. The logbooks are very cool, puzzles good and I like how it all comes together for the final. Thank you for placing the series for me to enjoy Fuchsia Briefs
Got to admit I’ve never read or watched a Harry Potter story but had been armed with the puzzle solutions for some time. The wait to visit each GZ however was frustratingly based on when I would next be in the area without making a special trip, waiting for a disabled one to come back online and keeping an eye on the required TB. After it had gone further afield than the guidelines earlier this year and then sitting in a long multi I had no time to do, finally it appeared in a simple cache I had ticked off a few years ago, was close enough to where I needed to use it and coincided with a weekend trip up from the ‘Gong for a family function. Wanting to complete all the series in order, I anxiously worked my way through six GZs, located the TB still where it was meant to be and headed straight to the final before dropping the TB off for the next finder in the first suitably sized cache (which happened to be my last find as the sun set). All in all, a productive six-hour journey with 16 other caches to round out a magical day.
Completed the puzzle ages ago. This has been a most entertaining series for me. #985
Last night sister worked out this puzzle today we have collected 40odd caches this one is the last for the today. I have 1 more to go for my 100 souvenir
Last one for the day finished with a good find thank you to kazzacosmo bedlam2 and rozway for a great day
Had planed a trip to Richmond today so last night I worked out a couple of these puzzles. After finding 40 odd caches today this was our last thinking it was number 100 for kazzacosmo but it wasn’t it was 99. So maybe one more in the way home.
#2028 had this puzzle on a solved list thought I would try to knock it off. Caught up with alnic39 and headed to GZ parked a bit further away but had to fit in 2 cars. More Mothers of Millions at GZ so needed a bag to collect & destroy, digressing. Anyway soon found the cache
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the puzzle Fuchsia Briefs took note of the number required for the final

I spent quite a bit of time on this puzzle and had a few hiccups, but I got the PHL app onto it and it was solved in minutes. Met up with phlphotos, as he too had worked on it, (NO KIDDING!) and the find was made. Lots of familiar plant life in the area...Mother of Millions! I felt the need to bend down, pull it out and put it into a bag!
This was super exciting for me, I loved be Harry Potter and I solved this puzzle with a bit of help from BeckNmonts while they were visiting for the Mega, I can’t wait to find the others over the next couple of weeks - TFTC Fuchsia Briefs, I really enjoyed it!
I’m glad we’d found the others and knew more or less what to expect as it was getting quite dark by the time we arrived at this one from “The Ring”.
So, now we have all the clues, what to do next? Hmm…
Thanks Fuchsia Briefs, please accept a favourite point for this extraordinary series so far. Hopefully we can solve the final before too long.

Geowife and I had been working on these puzzles over the last two or so weeks with the intention of picking them up as part of the Planetary Pursuit challenge. Today was the day to make the grabs and defeat the 6 horcrux' and get the clues ready for defeating the Dark Lord.
Geowife went off to search for this one while I was stuck with Geokid in the car who didn't want to let the phone go. Geowife got a tad sidetracked and searched the wrong GZ. She came back to the car and sent me in, within 30 seconds I had made the grab. We signed the log, took some photos with our TBs and replaced as found ready for the next fight.

Geohubby and I worked through these puzzles over the last week or so. Being a fan of Harry Potter I was excited to complete this series as part of Planetary Pursuit Challenge.
So today was the day we made the grabs and destroy the 6 horcrux, and to get the clues to defeat Lord Voldemort.
I went off to search for this one while I left geohubby with Geokid in the car who was enjoying watching TV on the phone. I headed to GZ, I spotted the hiding spot, but thought it is a nest and decided to stay away after previously being bitten. So I went back to the car and sent geohubby out, within 30 seconds geohubby had CIH. We did the legals and made sure to take note of Clue #1, and geohubby returned it back to its hiding place

On a caching run today I stopped off here to have a look for this cache.
After a short hop skip and a jump I was at GZ and soon made the find in the likely hidey hole, signing duties completed then all returned.

#783 – Garmin eTrex 30
This was the second of two finds for the day. After finding ‘Crafty Containers – Finger Knitting’, I returned home but decided to take a detour and start finding the rest of this series having grabbed the trackable for the final the day before. This was the closest one and I parked on the side of the road. I could have made it easier for myself and walked on the roadside of the fence until perpendicular with GZ but instead I navigated my way through the scrub. I had to stop several times to allow the Garmin to settle and reposition but I had to inspect a few other likely hiding places. Fortunately, one of the places did hold the cache. SLTNLN. TFTC.

We are back! AngelG27 and I have been wanting to finish the heart series, since finding most of it exactly a year ago. I was picked up, then Bobl27 was dropped off and we got into caching mode. Lots of talking, lots of laughter, some slightly dodgy navigating and a few caches of course. We finished the heart series, just need to defeat Voldemort in the horcrux series and grabbed the occasional trad on the way... overall sixteen for the day.
This was our seventh for the day. I did these puzzles ages ago while I was sick. Usually I'm not good with word puzzles (spelling is my downfall), but I really enjoyed this one. We did the long drive out (stupidly we had left our broomsticks at home) and the short walk to GZ... found and defeated the first horcrux with a stab from a Basilisk fang. Loved the log book. Thanks

Cache 2744 on 12/8/17
A year ago exactly, Happy Uke and I started the Hearts series. Today after dropping Bobl27 off at another event, we finally finished the series, almost finished the Horcrux series and grabbed a few trads on the way back to collect Bobl27. A fun day with lots of talking and a bit of caching on the side. Unless otherwise indicated the caches were all good condition and found quickly.
After completing the heart series, we turned our attention to this fine little series. We solved 1-6 and had a fair idea where the final was, but with Harry stuck at the Dursley's, we will need to come back and finish the series another day. The log books are really well done!
Puzzle solved after a little trial and error. Cache found quickly.
Thanks Fuchsia Briefs for the cache!

With a break in the weather we headed out to get a number of these solved puzzles. Plenty of water around as we moved about. No real issues with the hides. We noted down the clues, completed the signing duties and re hid. Got the call from home and had to stop mid way. TFTC
As a huge HP fan this was awesome. Looking forward to completing the rest. I left a snake for Tom.
As I had made good progress with the teamMerlin caches I'd aimed for today, I decided to start collecting these Horcrux caches. At GZ I found the cache straight away, and took a photo of some information I found inside. It will take me a while before I get back in the area to find the rest of the series, and I think I still have a puzzle or two to solve.
Thx for the second time today Fuchsia Briefs!

Mr S had solved this one not long after it was published, but hadn't had an opportunity to find it. Accompanied by Shoes Junior (who recently finished reading all the Harry Potter books), it was a quick find. Loved the design of the logbook TFTC.
It was a nice short walk through the bush to find this cache. The log book was great!
#4073- Out caching in the early morning with thomo31 before the heat of the day set in.
Again, she solved this one and my only contribution was to drive. She had already done this one before, so suggested a good spot to enter. An easy find with another nice looking log book and we got the code too. Thanks

Worked out the puzzle yesterday - had the right info but out them in the wrong way. Eventually it was put right and headed off today to search. A short walk and search and i had cache in hand (thankfully as it started light rain as i got out of the car). Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

We were heading to Kurrajong for a birthday celebration so it was a good chance to pick up some caches along the way, mostly from the Horcrux series. A nice afternoon in the bush with some success and some DNFs.
We got onto the Harry Potter books quite a while after publication, we started to read them once our eldest did so we could find out what he was getting into. It was a great series and once we started we couldn't stop, and we pretty much read them non-stop until the end. At least late on the scene meant we didn't have to wait until the next one was published!
I went around in a big circle until the Diary was located, being immediately impressed by the attention given to the log book. Nice one and thanks for the cache Fuchsia Briefs.

I was headed to the Blue Mountains today, and was keen to tackle this series of caches along the way. Out of all the puzzles in the series, this type is probably my favourite. I've managed to do a few of these now for caches, and this one was put together without too much hassle. This was the last cache of the series found today, as the final will have to wait until next time I return.

Have only solved the puzzles in this series within the last week and thoroughly enjoyed them. Came out today to clear some solved "out-of-area" puzzle caches but wasn't planning to come this far west. Having already got 5 smileys under my belt in relatively quick time, I thought I'd be able to manage it before heading home for school pick up. Made a quick find so good to head off to #2.

We have been meaning to do this series for some time now, but other things popped up. Today we planned to grab them as we had a spare day. The weather is much better than it has been the past week, Got help from our daughters as they knew more about Harry than us. Once we had the answers all we needed to is to collect them. Nice touch on the log books. TFTC
Having solved the puzzle a little while ago it was decided to find this cache on this sunny day. Was able to park close to GZ and then walked the short distance to find the cache. It did not take very long at all to find this cache. The log book was signed and the cache was replaced as found. Thank you Fuchsia Briefs for placing this cache and the series.
We solved all of the puzzles last week, and set out this morning with our picnic lunch, and a full day of caching planned. After a short walk, we spotted a likely hiding spot, and quickly came up with the goods. Snapped a photo of the logbook, as we did with all of them, because....awesome! Then headed off in search of the next.

I found this one the hardest of the puzzles. The others are more my style.
With the full set finally solved this week, the lovely, sunny Saturday seemed the perfect time to find them, as the fire rest from home, we came out to this one first, with the intention of working our way back.
The cache itself was a quick find. Clue noted, maybe one day I will use it.

The Horcrux series was our main target for caching today. We decided to do them in order since this first one was further out for us: we could work our way closer to home. Like all the caches in the series, the actual hide was nice and easy. We found the clue in the log book and recorded it, although we are unlikely to ever do the final cache in the series as I'm not inclined to chase after a travel bug. Thanks
Out for a bit of light entertainment after being cooped up with a brokeb Foot.

A kick from sjamp spurred me into action to dust off this collection of puzzles I'd started so long ago. Some were complete, some mostly and a couple not even begun. With a few good Sunday evening hours invested, I had the numbers and a simple route for this morning; start at the beginning, finish at the end.
Parking near the first, I circled around as the Garmin settled and approached from the far side. Right at 0m, I could see the telltale cover and dropped down to make a diary entry and capture the secrets. Off to a good start on the sunny Autumn morning.
Thanks Fuchsia Briefs.

I'd been sitting down with some of Fuchsia Briefs' Horcrux series, and with four solutions under my belt, thought I'd head west for a few finds before heading back to visit my mother.
Decided to start with a previous DNF, and then wander back towards Schofields.
Found everything I went for and got to my mother right on time. Good afternoon.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Last one found today - first one solved. Although initially I thought there was a problem with the puzzle - until I realised what it was I couldn't see.
Sneaky.
Another quick find - the only problem being a low metal pole which I managed to scape on my leg both on the way to GZ and on the way back out.
Yet another brilliant log book - really enjoying them.
Grabbed the clue and replaced.
Time to get back.

Another quick find - the only problem being a low metal pole which I managed to scape on my leg both on the way to GZ and on the way back out.
Yet another brilliant log book - really enjoying them.
Grabbed the clue and replaced.
Time to get back.

I love Harry Potter and have read the books and seen all the movies countless times. I told Altaire about these and we set upon solving these over the last week. We'd then agreed to find them together.
This puzzle didn't prove to be that difficult and soon the hidden message appeared. We met at GZ today and made a quick find. I was very impressed with the crafted logbook. Nice touch. We took note of the special number and will wait for further instructions.

We solved these puzzles separately then met up with Tronador to spend the day finding them. This was our first for the day. It was nice that it was hidden in a reserve. I really enjoyed the puzzle.
Had some time to kill and was nearby, so I thought "Why Note" Arrived at GZ, and was reminded of a cache near here years ago. This cache was an easy find and I got the required info and replaced as found until I got back to the car and noticed that I still had the pen out of the cache still in my hand, so I went back and replaced the pen. I've had fun working out these puzzles and today was the day to go find them! Loved the little emblems on each log. I'm looking forward to finding Harry!

After yesterday's jaunt picking up four of this series I went home and had another crack at solving horcrux #5 - my third go and finally successful. So todays exercise was to pick up the remaining two of this series to date. This was my second stop again close to GZ. Note that road works are in progress and today one of the stop/go controllers was not far from where I wanted to be. After checking my GPS status I decided it was safe to head into the bush a bit. At GZ cache was quickly found . Recorded the necessary for later use added my monica to the log and replaced as found. tftc
A short drive down the road after collecting GeoMatty from his evening shift. He sat in the car while I searched amongst the scrub until the torch spied an item I should check out and CIH, thanks fushia briefs
The HP fans in the Sjamp household were keen to be involved in the puzzle solve and find. We headed out late this morning to complete the task and collect what might be needed for later.
Cache was easily found, and in good condition. Thanks FB.

4/5/16. 11:59 AM. Cache #3815.
5th of 5 this morning - Granville, Prospect, Seven Hills & Schofields.
I received an owl from Hogwarts in England; the new Headmistress Professor McGonagall had heard rumours that certain dark wizards had uncovered a spell that might bring back you-know-who if all 7 horcruxes were combined... despite the fact that Harry and his friends had previously destroyed them.
They had been sent a few years ago to the headmaster of the local wizardry school in Australia and scattered around western Sydney in the hope that they would never be found. Now I had been tasked with locating them so that Harry could once again destroy them. This was the closest one, but I first needed to remove the Confundus charm that had been placed on the map.
Once I had done that, I had been told to use the portkey at "MEMORIAL PARK (SEVEN HILLS)" which ported me directly here. I soon saw a likely place for the diary to be hidden. After removing an obstruction, I located a modern box, in which I could see the diary. It seemed harmless, still bearing the damage from the basilisk fang that Harry had used all those years ago. But I knew it was still dangerous. I did what I had to do and then looked for the nearest floo station to get back home. It may be some time before I get to the rest, time will tell. TFTC.

I finished solving the last of the puzzles to this series during my break at work. I was determined to find them today so I had a dark, near midnight horcrux hunt. To make it even spookier I only had my back up headlamp with me which doesn't give out much light, and casts a shadow due to a manufacturing fault!
I was going around in circles as I was waiting for my eyes to adjust to the dark, especially since my GPS screen is brighter than my torch light. Once in the right spot I spotted the obvious hide.
Thanks for the cache.

Snoopy had to work back late and I offered to find a cache with her but I didn't want to have to travel too far from home. I was so glad for some recently published caches and this was the closest one to home but it meant I had to do some homework. I was over thinking the puzzle and nothing was making sense, so I re-read the challenge and I the first word just appeared (like magic) and from there the other words just fell into place. Met up with Snoopy at GZ and we wandered around for a few minutes, eventually I found a fairly common type of camo and sure enough that is where the diary was hidden. This was the first one in the series I looked at and I solved it while sitting in the car dog sitting as my wife got some groceries. Surprisingly I saw some patterns and soon had a solution and GZ.
But, it was further to drive than I had time for before refereeing so I left it for another day.
