Very moist cache! saw a fox, had some fun bush bashing for the first of the day! Thanks
Found on the public holiday. It seemed somewhat fitting to do the Kokoda memorial track during ANZAC day, but it wasn't our reason for it. GeoBF and I just wanted to get a bit of exercise and adventure in. It was a slightly wet day, only got a spittle of rain, and didn't slip on the steps which was lucky. Cache check:The cache was found on the ground, near where I assumed was the hiding spot. It was untampered with, and the contents were wet. The log was moist but not wet and I could write on it without issue. I successfully rehid it. TFTC
We found ourself in this beautiful park and decided to look for our first cache in Australia. An easy find after a short walk. Thanks for the cache!
Spend 4 hours walking in the Dandenongs with the wife grabbing a few caches in the area.TFTC
its my first hike in melbourne!! i loved it so much and finding the cache at the end felt like a fun lil treat
Out with one of pinnacle333, we were doing multis, but couldn’t just pass by this one.
Beautiful scenery around here, but our feet got a little wet in the grass while getting to the cache. Thanks Tank47.

Continuing our drive through the hills, we ended up at the top end of the 1000 steps. This is a lovely secluded area with some equally lovely homes. A super fast find here. TFTC Tank47
T4TC , came this morning to turn this cache into a smiley . 2nd attempt after 9 months. So happy my geoson offer to climb this 1,000 steps for my visit this morning. Greetings from Singapore . Thank you CO . Good hide . We were actually looking at the wrong place previously, got to be the jumpy GPS . But all good now
Out and about with muggle to check out some more in the Dandenongs. Parked round the corner and did the short walk. Thanks for the hint as there is so many options here. Cache in excellent condition. Thanks for cache Tank47
The area is very overgrown and I ended up with all sorts of seeds and berries clinging to me, as well as lots of blackberry scratches, but I did manage to find the very well hidden cache.
I was having a bit of trouble with this one due mostly to having no reception and my GPS jumping around a lot. I eventually decided to walk up the hill a bit to get enough reception to load the hint. Once I did this it was a reasonably quick find. Although I will say this one is very well hidden from sight.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

After trekking back across the resi area here I bypassed for a quick pick up.
No one around at the moment.
The cache was nice and safe.
I signed the log and was on my way.

Had to abort the mission due to skin irritation from overgrown weeds, I'll be back with thicker clothes.
Wow! Awesome cache with loads of goodies! Left a sticker for someone As we were searching for it, we came across this lil guy scrounging for ants
Found with a friend after a long climb, thanks for the cache. The GPS settled down eventually and led me to it. TFTC
DNF, too much forest. Went right in digging , GPS jumpy but when finally got to GZ , couldn't locate the cache. Jus too much too dig . What a waste , thought at least o could get a cache here after climbing 1,000 steps. Greetings from Singapore . But nonetheless we enjoyed the climb . perfect weather
After climbing the hill at Golden Point in Fiji last week, I wanted a comparison with the 1000 steps, which is about the same height. The Fiji climb was harder, but only because it was much hotter.
Thanks for the cache Tank47.

After getting our breath back from the nearby Whereigo we picked up this traditional. Initially we were looking vertically and then the penny dropped. TFTC
After a hunting around for several minutes we finally found it. The hint confused us a tiny bit but made sense once we found it. TFTC
A quick find before my birthday lunch in Sassafras. TN but left a couple of tiny pencil toppers. TFTC.
After a picnic lunch at the play area, and after having a kookaburra swoop in and steal from the table, we were onto the next cache. Found it with help of 'Mrs' while the birds squawked at us.
Thanks for the cache! It was a bit tricky with a few forks in the area but found it.
TFTC what a welcome rest spot, after the serious lyrebird track! Boy that was tough.
A brief MTB ride up and up and up the hill after work nearby.
The GPS led me hither and thither before I located the appropriate fork and a nicely tucked away cache.

Found with Cygnus3333 after a climb up One Tree Hill lockdown exercising. No problems locating it thanks to the hint - but coordinates also seemed good despite the tree canopy. TFTC
Out for a drive in the Dandenongs on a cold wintry day. As I get back in the car it started to rain and sleet. Snow is a possibility. I love this area and this is the first time I have looked for a cache. Pretty easy to find but a little furphy threw me for a couple of mins. Look for the fork is said. Someone had pushed a stick in the ground with a fork, not dissimilar to a bush styled fishing rod holder. I realised this stick couldn’t have been there that long so lifted my eyes and spies the obvious hiding place. There it was.
Thanks for the cache. I’ve done most of my caching around Bendigo and surrounds. I’ve moved to Melbourne so it’s time to start caching regularly again.

OK, this is a bit tragic, but I now have a bunch of draft logs that are up to two months old. My plans of writing entertaining and informative tales for each one, illustrated with terrific photos, have become a bit ambitious. I will embellish where I can, and come back to some later, but will have to make do with generic logs for now.
Of course, this is not to disregard the appreciation I have for those who have placed and maintain each of these caches. I love youse all.
This one will be embellish to say I found it again today (first time 28/3/21). As I recall, my phone battery had died by the time I found it (I had a GPS receiver), so I didn't get to record a draft log. As I got close, it all started to look a bit familiar... Anyway, I went ahead and found it a second time, checking the log just to make sure I was in there from the first visit. Oh well, made for a nice detour after walking up the 1000 Steps for the first time. TFTC

Because it was a cooler day today so I decided to tackle some of the caches in the local area that I had chosen not to explore too extensively in the past due to snakey potential .. I have had a couple of close encounters with our slithery friends whilst geocaching but not today. I parked close to the search area .. I had totally misinterpreted the hint and, together with sketchy GPS readings, I walked up and down and to and fro .. hmmm there was nothing that seemed to match the hint .. unless!!! I readjusted my search and found the cache quite quickly .. I guess I had walked past many times...thank you Tank47 for placing and maintaining the cache.
Didn’t find it after 40 minute search around the the whole park might have to come back
Found during a bit of a run around the area.
A nice quick find then back to the trail.

I was in the area to complete the 746 Actually cache an decided to search for this cache as well, I had parked near the entrance to the One Tree Hill carpark and walked down the road towards this cache and then turned towards GZ. The phone took a few minutes to settle but I finally arrived at GZ and a short search located the container. Heading back to the car I took a more direct route and realised I was walking through an area with a lot of thistles and long grass. I turned to head in a more direct route back to the route and the next second son movement to my left and saw the tail of a snake (Copperhead/Tiger/Brown?) disappearing into the grass only 50 cm away. I was a little more careful after that and arrived back at the car without further problems. Thanks to Tank47 for the cache.
Very overgrown and long grass. I think I might have been onto it but the family ran out of patience.
There is a growing list of things that have bitten me.
Today it was the blackberry barely visible to the naked eye.
Two fingers and a thumb and it wasn’t even the right area. Ha.
Damn you Optus. SOS only.
Geobabe came to the rescue once again to make the find.

A quick cache to get me to the end of my streak tomorrow, I stopped here on the way home after finishing work and found the cache after a few minutes of searching.
After finishing up collecting some of the "DM" caches, we decided to stop by for one more before going home. This one was located and grabbed easily. Picked up the TB. Tftc Tank47
A quick find after hiking up the steps. The kids still had enough energy to do the detour to the cache side before being rewarded with a picnic.

Out collecting lab caches, when I noticed a previously unfound cache along the way.
Clambered over at what seemed to be the best spot, but after zeroing in on the cache, noticed a much easier way back. Aint that always the way.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Tank47

OHC checked our maps and noticed that neither of us had found this cache. We looked for quite some time until she came up with the goods. Thanks for the cache.
Out for a stroll at 1000 steps and took the opportunity to do some caching. Started looking in the wrong place but eventually found it. TFTC

A pleasant day and this cache was an route. Quick find. Thanks to Tank47 for the placement and fun.
Jumping GPS made this one take a little longer than expected but persistence paid off! TFtC
We had a pleasant drive along the Tourist Rd this morning, and picked up this cache along the way. Tftc Tank47.
A few hours to spare on a sunny afternoon , so time to get out and find some more caches near home . This was no picnic as the gps was sending me in all directions . Eventually got it . Thanks Tank47.
This took us longer than it should had to find. I blame tiredness, as we had walked our legs off today, up and down steep hills.
Thanks Tank47. Beautiful area.

Sorry for the late log
Out for the day with a friend who decided to drag me up the 1000 steps. Ive lived in the area for most of my life and have never attempted it before. Once we got to the top I told him about caching and and off we went. Nice easy find and a great intro to caching. Fantastic day

The mountain was wreathed in cloud this morning when I came by, not another soul to be seen - eerie but peaceful.
This was a quick find in the expected place. Signed the log, visited a trackable. Thanks for the cache, Tank47.

On a mission before I leave Melbourne to find a clutch of caches in this little pocket of the forest. Have not been here for donkeys years. Not sure I covered ground in the most efficient way but had grabbed the MT bike and managed most of the hilly country. Nice to be back after a few decades. All caches found quickly enough. TFTC and series. I’ll be back!
A wander round the One Tree area today grabbed a few caches while here
a nice quick find here having wandered up from the lower car park
