Cache is definitely missing again. We are not going to replace a third time. Time to archive.
Mine and my girlfriends first geocache!! She use to live in the area before moving in and I had this app like a year ago, and was always trying to get her to go have a look with me, but she wasn’t really interested until last month, long after I had deleted this app, now it’s finally something we can do together. This was a good first one, not difficult to find at all, and the story behind the geocache is really sweet:))
Checked up high, checked down low, all around the ground and thought there was nothing to show. In the end...it was where we shouldn't have thought it would be
Found it had a bit of fun walking around lost trying to find it haha took me a while but super excited to find it
12.52am my sister and I came out looking after doing our laundry hahaha Was really fun! Camo pill bottle put back in its hiding spot, good luck to the next ones to find it
Finally, our first Mega. We missed the last one in Auckland all those years ago by 3 or 4 months as we had not even heard about Geocaching back then. Anyway, Mr. Kiwi got a leave pass and was able to attend this event. Picking up UncleSamNZ, we headed off to see what was happening today.
We had been out this way the previous week and had noticed this roundabout as it is rather unique. Today, we pulled up just after the roundabout and walked on over to start our search. We looked for a little while and came up with nothing, then we looked one more time and finally found the cache container. The next problem was getting it out from its hiding place.
We're not sure if we actually pushed it further into the hole or if it had been pushed in before we had gotten to it. Anyway, it took us a while to fish the container out, but we finally had the cache in hand. A quick signing and we placed the cache back, being careful to not push it too far back but back far enough not to be seen too easily.

Out with LiverKiwi & Antznz for a bit of caching and to enjoy the Mega.
Good hide. Took a while to get out, as it got pushed back a bit.

We spent quite some time here looking for this one including looking where others said it should be. Lots of using the camera to look closely in certain place but no joy for the two of us.
Bummer, searched the tree that my GPS said was GZ, searched the other trees after that. Cheated a bit and looked through the activity logs to get some hints and found what it looked like and the most likely tree. Found a couple of good spots in that tree but no cache today Will try again another day if there's a find after our DNF haha
Went searching through all the trees plenty of good spots but nothing found is it still their ?
out an about near the silly little round about with choo alot of muggles silly little round about has a nice breeze lol
I couldn't find it anywhere, was hoping to find somewhere to put a trackable in but maybe it's been taken?
It is a bit of a silly round about but we like it and the trees make a great place to hide a cache.Searched the wrong tree to start with but once we searched the other one it was a quick find of this cameoed cache.Really liked the Xmas decorations at the house nearby and there was a very impressive post box near here too.
I like this one. Good camo, snug home. Not the most difficult hide ever but certainly got lucky with my first check.
Was out with Reveurs, Anastriel and Small Pooka to collect some caches before gettng one for Small Pooka's 1000th cache. TFTC.
Out and about today with Reveurs, Lycurgon and Anastriel to get my 1000th cache, but there were a few I still needed to grab before the magic number. Time to grab some easy park and grab caches. We had been here previously, but the cache had been muggled, time to attempt this one again. Upon heading to GZ we all had a wander around, but it was Lycurgon that came up with the find. Thank you for the cache and the easy grab. #994
Out to pick up cache number 1000 for Small Pooka with Anastriel and Lycurgon. Had a few to collect before we gone to the big one and this one was nearby/one the way. TFTC
Small Pooka was close to her 1000 cache so we headed out for a day, needing to get a few more caches on the way. This one is close to home and we'd failed to find previously so was glad to see it back in action.
Quickly located, thanks for the cache.

Out this way today to go and do the activity for the new virtual All About Auckalnd that is in the Botanic Gardens so on the way stopped in here to look for this cache. Missed it on the first go around but by then Mrs Tuolei had caught up with me with Albert the Geohound. Her eyesight is much, much better than mine and she spotted a glimpse of the cache in its natural camo and that was enough. Nice that they built this roundabout to save the lovely totara trees.
All good here, thanks for the cache.
All good here, thanks for the cache.
After completing some lab caches with TF he stopped so I could find this one. Nice quick find. Thanks
Cache container was missing. I have replaced it with a camo pill container and it is back ready to be found
The 'Silly' Round-a-bout (Auckland) was transferred from darthcacher1 to user HeMaLuDy
Sadly it wasn’t found took a while to have a good look but in the heat everyone just gave up
Didn’t manage to find anything. Tried to do a night time sweep with 282728 no luck unfortunately.
This is the third day in a row of caching for the Hidden Creatures challenge and it is starting to get strenuous... But one does what one can in order to win tiny little virtual rewards... This one was a nice and easy find. TFTC
Hidden creatures challenge... ACCEPTED. Found together with Greenkiwikids and Pyphant. Signed as team Piraten. TFTC
On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but cheers to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. Cache found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers darthcacher1, TFTC

The only thing silly about this roundabout was me walking right over the cache but thankfully Mrs Jag was following close behind me
Merlot58 and MrsJag50 were keen to capture the silly roundabout. Having got the cache MrsJag50 wanted MrJag50 to do a few circuits of the roundabout for fun. But it isn't really a roundabout. Or is it?
We were on our way to a session at Manurewa Library but were very early so detoured to grab this cache. I'm not even sure you can actually call this a round-a-bout as its not round and you can't officially drive around it, more diamond or pear shaped.
Anyway we parked up, raced over, took a few minutes to find the correct spot and then all was good.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing us to this spot.

Not really a round-a-bout but it's more of an island on the road. Out on a trip with Keylev & Laval.
Thanks for the Cache darthcacher1.
Thanks for the Cache darthcacher1.
The silly thing about this saga that lay before me is how silly I am at this silly round-a-bout! I came here a long time ago and searched every tree and got rained upon for my efforts. Today was another story, loevly warm sunshine and I found the cache in the very first place I looked, how does THAT happen?? Silly, silly me.....
Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
Today I made a Little tour together with thegreatauk to collect some easy traditionals.
Last one for today. We could find it quick.
Thanks for hiding!

Out with Janno216 to get some cache's in the area. Not really a roundabout but I have found a few traffic island cache's.... Find was noce and easy when I looked in the right place. Thanks for the cache.
Felt very exposed standing up on this weird giant roundabout. Found it on the second loop around in a sneaky little spot. Tftc
I rather like this little island in the road. It gives the street some nice character. Was well hidden but only so many places it could have been. Thanks!
Funny place indeed. But searching for cache is a different story. Everyone is watching you Especially on Christmas day. Lazy afternoon and show must go on. Had to use some tricks do not look suspicious. Well placed cache in that kind of area. TFTC
A nice day to pick up some geocaches, enjoyed the sunshine and the fresh air, thanks for placing this cache
We were driving past and realised a cache was nearby so parked a bit further down the road and waked back to GZ.
What an unusual round-a-bout and such a great place for a cache. We needed to exercise extreme stealth as we were surrounded by muggles and we made a slow and methodical search, eventually locating the hiding spot. We carefully signed the log using one of the trees to block us from sight.
Thanks darthcacher01 for a great hide

Was in the area this morning so stopped here to look for this one. Found it on the second circuit, nicely hidden. TFTC
Exploring the area, with a spot of geocaching, before picking up my teen from a nearby event. Much better to get out & stretch my legs, rather than sitting waiting in the car. No-one around today which made the search easy. My GPS struggled to settle to a definite GZ under the trees but caching sense narrowed it down to a couple of good options ... but no, I came up empty handed. Circled all the trees again & then re-checked my 1st thought more thoroughly and I was right! There it was, tucked in further than I'd checked first time. Good hide! TFTC.
Gave all the trees a good search then after 10 mins, it absolutely poured down, so I rushed to my car for shelter, then I rang a previous finder, so with some extra intel and a little more enthusiasm, I did another search when the rain stopped. But, alas, the cache never revealed itself, oh dear, time to move on.
Orienteering at Manurewa High this afternoon then heading to SethRavens for dinner, the kids then heard mother go....."It's a dot day we need to find a cache" collective groan from the back seat. Knew this was en route so a quick stop here. Panda0505 had this one in hand before the rest of us had a chnace. TFTC
A silly roundabout indeed. Searched with Supernanny, just about to give up but there was a 0 tolerance of DNFs today, luckily Supernanny found the well hidden cache, phew that was close.
It is like an island without a moat ! Jolly nice big trees ,,,,but funny roundabout !
Searched in vain with urbangypsynz in many likely spots ....on last look I spied something not quite right .....Thank goodness , there was the cache !!!!! Thanks for showing us your roundabout ! Love it !

7.10am - This weekend was going to be all about cache numbers.
With a semi plan made the squirrel and I hit the roads around south Auckland.
Also along the way a few puzzles that we had solved we collected.
Also one puzzle with a starting point at certain address which we have passed numerous times we thought we could wing this and find it.
Much to our delight we got it. great haul of caches this weekend ,and some very interesting locations.
A couple of misses and with some areas cordoned off we missed a couple more.
All in all a successful weekend. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... In Auckland for a weekend of caching... It's all about the numbers, baby!!!
We have driven this road many times in the past. We've often thought how funny it might be to put a tent up on this round-about and camp here... Anyhow, the road was busy this morning. We managed to get in and find this well hidden cache, wedged securely in its hide. TFTC.

A nice walkabout in this area brought me to this location. I can remember finding another cache here ages ago. That must have been archived for a while and this feature certainly deserves one. Found the cache after a short search and careful observation. TFTC, Biggles.
I was on my way to my daughter's place and needed a quick cache, because of the weather, for my cache-a-day cache and this one was selected.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Decided the rain would hold off just long enough to hit this on before we got on the motorway to head home. What a funny little island here - I wonder what the reasoning for it is? Geoboy was desperate for a find today so he was darting around yelling "no, I find it!" Sometimes we subtly point him towards a suspected looking cache hiding place, but today he truly did make the find first with no hints from us. TFTC
From the title knew where to head, and quickly spotted something out of place which led to the cache.

Down this way for work today, so decided to take the afternoon for a spot of caching. This was my first stop. When I saw the title for this one, I knew exactly where GZ would be. Though I think this is more of a road island and not so much a round-a-bout. Anyway, I parked up, climbed up and started my search. Took several minutes and a couple of passes before I cottoned onto the correct spot. Eventually got the goods in hand. Cheers for the cache placement!
Found ourselves heading by this way to the Botanical gardens and noted there was no one walking around the area...quickly pulled over and parked ran to the hill and started the search...continued the search... continued the search... found many places this could be but none of them helped.... spotted a likely place but was worried it was too obvious if people were watching from inside houses as GZ is very visible.... decided it just needed closer inspection and bingo, cache in hand, signed, ready to return when one of the locals decides to take a stroll to the letter box...then they stand at the letter box admiring the neighbourhood... they head back up the driveway only to do an about turn and head back to the letterbox, then off down the street...I quickly return the cache and dash back to the car before they decide to come back tot he letterbox...

I was going crazy staying inside during all this rain, but today, it stopped a bit, so I went out to grab this one. Pretty good hide. It took me a while to finally go to the right spot. TFTC.
Drove by here today and was so glad to see that all the rubbish had been cleaned up. Popped up for a quick grab, happy to have this one crossed off the list! TFTC
