Up in Orewa for a few days with ABCDF4Some great caches up here Thanks to the CO for a enjoyable time in Orewa
With rebel98, on the bikes plus muggle. Plan to cycle around the estuary finding a couple of caches along the way Happy to say a quick find, we needed that, as our muggle is back at the car waiting
**20,800**Glad of a nice quick find here, nearing the end of the trail for me and starting to get a bit tired and in need of a drink. TFTC
Finally found one on this little circuit! Other ones nearby were too challenging for us!
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

It was a bit muddy thanks to the recent cyclone, but no cache is too bad for our hero. Cache is all good, TFTC
A much easier cache than the round tuit. Found quickly and replaced. All good. TFTC
Down from Whangarei on a caching mission with Team G0LD today to get some numbers in the general Orewa area.
After a successful detour at Warkworth for a trail of 8 FTF's, we carried on to Orewa proper. Our plan was to do as many around the estuary as possible. A bit squishy underfoot in places along this trail with the recent bout of heavy rain. This would have been an impressive tree, before it became a power pole. So straight, it's amazing. Nice quick find once at GZ TFTC

Team G0LD had planned to cache in Orewa today, get 50 caches and clean up that area. Such a nice surprise to see new caches published just out from Warkworth. We made the short diversion out that way and picked up 8 ftfs as a bonus. What a fantastic way to start the day. Grabbed a couple of other ones enroute to clean areas up before reaching our target area.
Wow, what an impressive wooden pole. Didn't get the cache title until I re-read it yesterday. Clever. Another quick find and a bit damp already underfoot. TFTC

Looked at my map back 200m away and instantly knew where this cache would by lying, so once I arrived at GZ, I wasted no time finding it! It was hard not to notice all the large houses across the other side of the mangroves all staring at me signing the log. TFTC G_2!
A beautiful, sunny day enticed me to head outside on a caching trip where I ended up walking around Orewa, Millwater and Silverdale for 8 hours between 11:30am and 7:30pm! In total I made 40 finds including 30 traditional's and 10 AL's... Thanks very much to all CO's who placed caches around this lovely area!

Yup, I agree. R2D2 = C3PO = N.E.R.D food
Onto the main business of the day, the largest of two loops which encompassed all the caches I never completed last time I was in the area. The rain and drizzle was steady for most of it and only really came to any real effect when I was at the point furthest from the car, of course!!
Another weekend day with mrs c out of town and just some modest local-ish goals to achieve. I had intended to do most of my outstanding Millwater/Orewa caches but a persistent drizzle and then a proper spell of rain meant that it was just Millwater. The afternoon was all about collected a TB that had been located amongst a swag-haul dumped in a park near Manakau City, facilitated by a UK cacher on FB. Quite the mission but I rescued the TB and declined the accompanying swag (stolen goods probably)

New Years day walk around the estuary. Too much dancing the eve before to do maths.
There were some people standing right in front of GZ when we approached- so had to wait for them to move on. Otherwise a nice quick find. Tftc
Got ya! Busy wee area this, especially this time of year, lots of waiting and basking in the sun.
Last one before heading off to lunch. Signed with SandersonHunters. All good here. Thanks G-2
MrNZT decided that we needed an outing to blow the cobwebs from his nice car that has sat in the garage for weeks! Orewa was our destination for lunch, but we decided that a nice walk around this park would be a good way to stretch the legs and build up an appetite for lunching. Enjoyed the sun, caching and nearby cricket game as we wandered around collecting caches
Figured out our target GZ and made an easy find here. MrNZT laughes at Danger signs!! HA.HA.HA! TFTC!

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

Picked the location of this cache from a distance and found where expected - the quickest find on our afternoon walk with the dogs. Thanks for placing G-2, haven't been here since the whole area has had upgrades and much enjoying our walk. Dry conditions today.
I came out for a walk this evening to pick up some more caches around the perimeter of the estuary and targeted a loop around this reserve.
A nice quick find here, the hint item was very obvious and the container was quickly found. TFTC!

Find number 6564. Decided to do a couple of days caching in the area. With an emphasis to try to clear the Dalmatians. After parking up in Riverhead and riding the bicycle from there. I only got a few done before the batteries on my GPS went flat and when I lost phone coverage I had to change plans. In the end I ended up with 29 caches today and spent the night at Murawai. This is now day 2. Murawai, Dalmations and then onto Orewa for the night. Another 50 caches done.
After checking in at the campground I decided to cycle this trail and collect the caches along the way. Following a gentleman and his dog around this area. He had moved out of sight when I got here. Thank you for the placement.

Out for a bike ride and gather a few caches around the Millwater area. Not too muddy on the trail, a few soft patches. Nice easy find here, thanks
Taking a walk around the estury and grabbing caches at the same time. Easy find once we'd worked out how to get there. Thanks
Decided to take the opportunity to collect a few caches around this part of Auckland as the weather was forecast'd to be excellent and clear, and I had not been up here for a very long time. An advantage was also that it gave me an opportunity to go for a bit of a bike ride once the sun came up.
Started out the day in the dark and still managed to make it home by mid afternoon so all in all not such a bad day to be had in the sun.
This area has continued to grow over the time and the parks are now fully developed. This part of the morning I got the MTB out and headed off to see what I could locate. Pretty much had the entire place to myself with only a few walkers out and about. Made a quick find here.
A big thanks to all the Co's whom have taken the time and effort to maintain the caches.
thanks for the cache, thanks for the placement.

Out with PageNZ earning a few smileys. No problems here as we wended our way around the grassy & sometimes muddy waterline. TFTC
My turn to make a find, good that is was straight forward. This is such a nice walk with its many caches along the way. T4tc
I decided to have a walk in the morning before spending the day at the conference. Apparently it takes my son 1.5h, so I though 3 hours would be plenty! I had so much fun!! Thanks for all the lovely caches around the estuary!!! Glad I did not have to do the maths! TFTC!!
This pole would have been a magnificent upstanding specimen once. Resigned to wet feet now!! Thanks for the cache G-2
Wind blown dust and dirt and rain ..found all good...that one mean piece of wood thanks G2
Was fairly certain of the location and raced the youngest. All was going well till she didn’t spot the big puddle in her haste.... another learning lesson! Once at GZ cache quickly located. TFTZ!!
Out on a bit of an exploration of this area with CornishLassie, The WonderStuff, cragger, laval and NZIceman via Meet Up.
Saw some model planes in the area...thankfully not near the overhead danger...quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.
Signed log as Meet Up AKL to save space.

After a challenging approach to GZ through mud in the pouring rain we were pleased to make a quick find.
Our intention was to head to "Polly does her block" next but this plan had to be abandoned when the mud turned into a swamp.

Out on a caching adventure with Tikitour and Riser5 to get 100 geocaches for the hidden creature souvenirs. Logging at T18. TFTC
Got wet feet on the way to this one but an easy find.

Next stop on this muddy walk around the reserve and this was a nice quick find (even without all the maths) TFTC
Nice and handy find. Saturday walk in the area. Wet wet wet ... not the cache ... grass:) TFTC
Out and about following this trail of caches around the stop bank, making a circuit of the walk. GZ was obvious here and the cache was soon in hand. Cheers for the cache placement!
Hmm, glad the hide was straight forward. I didnt have TW with me to do any math. Thanks.

Enjoyed the bit of sun today for some geocaching. With a lot of rain lately the area was muddy providing for a muggle free stroll. TFTC
Tenth find of the day out with PHILBIRDBOYS, hopefully the rain holds off! Nice quick find, TFTC.
I joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 this morning and we set off to Millwater to do a few of the caches around there. It was a nice morning and there were lots of people out and about, but the caches on this circuit were nicely out of sight from prying muggles. After all the rain we've had, the circuit was quite wet and muddy though - I brought the wrong shoes! A quick find here, TFTC!
Having had an eye procedure earlier in the week I needed just to take it easy this weekend, thought this circuit might be OK, grabbed Vistra and set off mid morning. Very very muddy track and it turned what was going to be a gentle walk into a bit of a slip and slide, with a mix of dont lose the boots.
Nice quick easy find, exactly where we thought it was going to be. TFTC

I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is ten, though I might get the odd extra one or two. To achieve today's quota I decided to go for a fairly long walk around a sports field in Millwater.
It GETS a little muddy even in Autumn.
Cheers for the cache.

Followed the mowed strip of grass right to GZ. Mrs Jag50 made the find eaily here.
T'was a lovely day to go for a walk in the area with Jag50 and Aiden29. A nice quick find here by Mrs Jag
A glorious day to be out so headed here to Millwater area with Merlot58 and Aiden29. Hmm. A few points more than the meaning of life.
Late afternoon dash for our daily cache after a round of golf at Wainui. Followed a mowed strip of grass around the storm water ponds towards gz. Sandals soon started taking in water. The ground is surprisingly already waterlogged. Ditched the footwear and carried on shoe less and fancy free whilst pondering the meaning of this caches name. No closer to a sensible answer when all became clear once I arrived at gz. Quick find, log signed and back to splashing through the mud. TFTC
As we scanned ahead we could see where the cache was going to be from a couple of hundred yards away. We had a bit of a chuckle at the huge warning sign for the really very obvious thing it was referring to, I guess they have to do these things these days but sheesh, just look up. Found the cache nice and quickly and on we went. Thanks for the cache, all good here.
Just when I thought no one was watching... up came a paddleboarder right past me!

We managed a few cache finds while on a quick stop over in Auckland. Quick find then onto the next one before it rains! TFTC.
GZ sticks out like a 20m tall sore thumb. The cache location was just about as obvious. TFTC.
