My 2nd attempt to locate this one. Can someone who has previously found it confirm its still there? Thanks
Quite a thorny problem. Searched for ages but couldnt find it. Well try again another time.
I had 10 unfound/unsolved caches in the Minnippi Wetlands area, so recently solved the two puzzles and came out here today to find them all, walking about 8km and getting just a little bit muddy at one of them. On my circuit walk, I found this cache with its cute outer container, so a fp. Logbook signed and replaced as found. All good here. Tftc
I was digging about @ the wrong elevation then laterally bumped in2 it! T4TC!
Beardman75 I found your cache Rosy Outlook on 1/2/2024, 11:45am. This is my find 6376 and find # 3 today. Cache easily found after a wet walk. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After a nearby event, we tackled the Bulimba bike track and came across this area for the first time.Unfortunately, it was a bit wet - paddles everywhere, but our socks and shoes were already wet. After a short search, we found the cute cache and signed the log. A fav point worth!Tftc Beardman75
TFTC smile 17451 out and about on a lovely day having a great time finding a few local caches after the Event today, FP lots of puddles to walk through TVThank you Beardman75 for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Out and about with geo friends and TBU1Bikesu for more smileys. Tftc Beardman75 A fav point from me
I originally focused my attention on a very nearby hide and it wasnt until I had moved a little further along to check another area that I looked back and saw the cache so obvious right there in front of my face. Sadly the planes were not flying today so we could only manage the rosy and not the outlook. Thanks Beardman75
The final cache on my walk around this area. Apparently the Stanton family used to own a lot of the land here, hence the name Stanton Road. This guy was my great-great uncle!
A quick find, log signed, all replaced as found.

I was out today with the main aim of picking up a particular cache to finish off qualification for a challenge cache I was hoping to complete. Before heading out this morning I quickly put together a list of other caches I could visit in the area, including this one.
No planes in operation today but I still chose to walk around the outside of the field on the way to the cache. The nice and secure cache was quickly spotted and my name was stamped in the logbook. On the walk back I found some debris from a model that obviously had a catastrophic landing. No rosy outlook for that one unfortunately. TFTC

Another Sunday afternoon drop off at Bulimba, and I was looking for some new caches on this side of town. I had two and a half hours before I was required to return to pick up eldest child.
I spotted a couple of caches in this parkland that I had not been to before. After an unsuccessful search for some ducks, then a fun tree climb, I made my way around to this cache. I pulled up at the corner of the field and headed along the fence line until I was about 20m from the cache.
Spotted the cache container and worked out how to remove the cache tube. Nice tether set up here.
The log sheet was good and I signed as AWT? Back to the car to tackle another one or two before heading back.
Thanks very much for the cache Beardman75, the dog and I enjoyed the find. Cheers

This morning, I took baby Warren on an outdoor walk in Murarrie Road Bushland to complete half of the *Harry Potter* geocache series. An interesting and forgotten bushland next to Ingham's, and it was a hot Summer day with minimal shade along the tracks. We subsequently made a stop at Minnippi Parklands to use that playground and take another short walk, before returning home for the day.
After playing in the nearby playground, we repositioned the vehicle, and took a short loop north of Tingalpa Model Aero Club, walking back along the bike track.
We took a stop using the much-needed opportunity for shade, and I initially searched in a dead tree that was full of termites. The coordinates were bouncing around under the trees, but I managed to make the cache find about 5 m away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I did like the rosy design with the themed object, so quite novel. Thanks Beardman75 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Well I wasn't expecting that thanks so much for the ingenuity in placing this one. A blooming good cache
Out for some after school geocaching. A nice little walk around the model aero club grounds to Ground Zero.
Loved the cute cache container.
Bison tube contained water so was emptied and dried out. Waterproof log is okay, but some of the previous ink is not.
Thanks For The Cache! #312

Neat cache container. No planes flying today unfortunately, but still a nice walk. TYFTF!
We just happened to be here on the right day and at the right time to be fully entertained by a Club of flying enthusiasts. We took various videos and a few photos, although the planes seem to move so fast that it was difficult to get a clear picture. I did manage to get one which we have attached.
Then it was back to Geocaching business. We signed the log and noted the lovely container and with it’s rosy outlook to some great entertainment on this beautiful Sunday.
Thanks Beardman75. A favourite attached to this one.

Work is getting in the way of my caching so I only have time to grab a couple today. That was handy as I need to keep my cache a day and trad a day challenges alive. A drive over the bridge after work to grab these 2, a short walk across the field found me walking into the bush in search of rosy. I found rosy a little wet and a little dirty. I emptied the water out and found the cache, log was dry. I signed the log and replaced all as found.
Thank you for placing this one here, now I’m off to the other one in the area.

A nice walk around the outside of the field on a blue sky day.
The sky was filled with a few RC planes so it was definitely the right time to come. Spotted the well-crafted cache from a few metres away once we’d made our way into the clearing.
TFTC!

This was a fun cache. Most because we had just tried to walk to a cache that we needed a kayak for
After actually reading that we could walk to this cache we head the long way into the bush. Through bushes and long grass following the GPS we can to a clearing and found what looked like Treebeard if he was in The Blair Witch Project.
After we finally made it to GZ the cache was quickly in hand.
This deserves a favourite point for so many reasons, thanks for helping us meet treebeard

Next find while out with PirateLinda, Giraffe18 and 2manytrailers... log is now full and the o-ring is gone, dried out the log as best I could...

The grass here wasn't as long as around near the cactus so I decoded to have a look. Stumbled around GZ for a few minutes before finally noting something not quite expected in this environment. What a cracker of a cache container! Managed to find a space on the log to add my name and replace it where found. TFTC, Beardman75. The log is fading making early entries hard to read, but the log seems to be close to full.
What a cute cache, this one has been on my one day list for a while. So glad I got a chance to do this little walk. A few hobby planes flying about today. Tftc
This was my 2nd find at this park today.my son used to do long distance running here along time ago and it brought back great memories riding around here. At gz it took a little while before I spotted this cute cache. Thanks for the fun.
Found by geodad in our Sunday morning stroll. Love getting out and walking in this beautiful July Brisbane weather. Tftc
On the bike again, riding the small tracks here.
Parked at the rest area and came here on small tracks.
Liked the container!
Thank you for hiding

Unfortunately none of the trails in the area show up on any map so I had a decision to walk on or walk back to the flight zone and continue around the flight path. I decided on a gamble which I would normally do with the kids inheritance but they all live at home and are never leaving, so they keep a close scrutinizing eye on me. The gamble kind of paid of because I soon found myself next to the model plane field anyhow.
The lone aviator I had seen flying his plane was just packing up as the breeze had picked up and the windsock was fuller than the feeling you get when there is only one piece of pizza left that can’t go to waste. At least I could duck off into the bush in peace.
My initial search had me focusing on the wrong thing but I used the umbrella to scratch out the cache. I felt like I was in the middle of a field puzzle because it took a while for my brain to work out how to get to the log. Some walls have more brains than me. tftc

Had my adventure boots on so was ok doing a bit of naturing to get to this one. Cute container and a nice walk around the park. Thanks
(Adventure boots = leather winter boots that I am fairly sure will stop fangs)

Flying visit to QLD today and not due back at airport for an hour so this allowed me to check a local or two.
Easily found but no pen! What - use blood? Nah , so scribbled with a bit of local charcoal before then pricking my finger replacing!
Blood was drawn eventually...!

A morning at a meeting. Then a few hours work, it was time to change pace and get outside for a break and a walk. Minippi again it is! I've visited here loads of times for years but today, as we drove in was the first time I've seen model aircraft airborne. Yeah well, there'll be a bunch of looking at those today. After parking, walking up the hill and quacking at some ducks we were headed to look at the planes when I recalled there nearby multicache. I did that, then we headed the long way around the field towards this geocache.
Looking up was a few airliners outbound from Brisbane, nearer was a constant buzz of radio controlled craft. We walked and chatted about the perks of being outside on cold days. And it has been such a good day. Near the location we had to 'do an adventure' into the bush a bit and I quickly spotted the container. After a few minutes while I took photos of an intricate seed pod thing, both of us had spotted it. All in good condition here and once replaced, walked the rest of the way around the paddock. Thanks for this outlook, WMG187

I wobbled the bike along the trails to reach this rosy outlook
And was completely distracted by the model aircraft for many minutes
Yours truly has spent thousands of hours (and dollars) on these toys over the years
Yet I haven't flow a radio control model for a good 15 years
It was obvious from the display today that technology has had a huge impact on aeromodelling
A pair of electric, ducted fan, powered models lined up on the runway,
and provided a great display of formation flying
Geez those things are fast !! [:o]
I got round to searching for the cache ... eventually

A free day today and as I needed a day out, I decided on a long walk from Murrarrie station down to Meadowlands road picking up caches along the way. Very cool cache, nice mechanism. TFTC
Out for a maintenance run and coordinate check this morning.
The tether had broken so I replaced it with a better tether.
All good here. Happy caching!

The cache was found quickly, then 1MinnieMoo and myself had a seat on a conveniently placed fallen log. Unfortunately for 1MM she had plonked her foot right on top of a huge ant nest. While she did a dance to get the critters off her shoe I signed the log for us and then replaced as it had been found.
THanks for the cache vennfamily

Coming towards the end of our time out here today, NyssaFlutterby and I headed over here and Nyssa made the find quickly. Thanks for the convenient, comfy seat, which we decided to use while signing the log... until Aaaaghh ants!! I discovered right by my feet I had upset a neat of little critters and was soon jumping away, leaving Nyssa to complete the replacement of the cache.

Battled with the mosquitoes to find this. Very wet inside so I dried it out and signed my name. Thanks
Over this way doing a couple of target caches this morning. This one is my second "R" cache for the February challenge. I only need a "U" cache now and February will be done and dusted Well except for going up to the Northside to do the actual challenge cache lol
This one was another easy find with good coordinates [^] I extracted the log sheet and dutifully added my name and today's date. Then everything was replaced back as I had found it. All is ready for the next geocaching visitor to come and find it for themselves [8d]
Then I called it a day for caching and headed off back home, as other things to do today besides geocaching
Thanks for the cache vennfamily

Out today gathering a few caches and making them into smilies.
Headed to GZ and found an interesting cache.
Signed the log and returned to where I found it with camo.
This was my favourite for the day.

After a good night sleep I’m ready to explore some less urbane caching areas – I spot a nice grouping of caches around the Meadowland picnic area and the Minnippi Parkland and after a quick taxi ride I’m ready for some caching… I’m still very careful of critters due to the attributes on most caches. I ended-up the day with 16 finds and a few DNF, but a very nice day outside.
At GZ I find the cache after a few minutes of looking around. Everything is fine with the cache.
Thanks for the cache and the very nice day outside

Out with Monkey Maker at the last minute for some night caching, cute little container - MM writes a far better log then I so I will leave his logs to tell the tales! TFTC
Geez the spiders are out in force tonight but it's nothing a leafy stick won't fix. The only trouble is I was short one hand. I had the stick in one and both the phone and torch in the other. My phone was having issues then I remembered the big arse magnet on the back of the torch. Ahh yep, that'll do it, so yeah another hand would have been handy.
I worked around it and before long HWD yeld out "got it". Hahaha, cool container.
Thanx again vennfamily

Out on a solo run before catching up with teamdfl later. Last time I was in this area I didn't get to these northern caches, so decided to take a walk around today.
Another quick find, and an interesting container. TFTC, vennfamily.

Out and about today with RoddyC and DiamonJS for a morning walk around the Harry Potter series.
After that, DiamonJS and headed onto the McHoot series.
Now it is just me left to walk around Minnippi Parklands.
Thanks for the caches.

Life is too short not to have a rosy outlook, as my Mum would say (rest her soul). I loved this one, roses are my favourite and my husband and I had them everywhere at our wedding. This was such a cute find in the middle of no where, it is definitely deserving of a favourite point.
Thanks for the creative range of caches here Venn family. We signed the log and replaced for others to find.

Cute container - thanks for the series favourite point to match his buddy...
A day was planned out on the dark side, and what better spot to start from than the Minnippi Parklands. I found an access track from the creek that brought me to the edge of the airstrip. A guy was flying a turbine model today, sounded great and sure was fast. Too quick to get a good look but it had an F-16 shape.
A guy was wandering across the field heading straight for me, I was sure he was coming for the cache but he grabbed something and went back.
Quick find here, cute container.
---
This cache is in good condition, and makes smilie #2742. Thanks **vennfamily** for showing us this spot. Discover our code TGQNRV, and mention where you saw it.

Today we went caching with the team of Kristie Morgan. We had a great walk in the Minnippi Parklands area, just completing our last one as the rain started falling.
What a cute container, my brain took a few moments to realise how to get to the cache container.
All have been good but I chose this one to give a favouroe point to

Found by Sunshine Toledo (ST) and Jinga2 (J2) at 9:19am. All caches we were looking for today were in Minnippi so we got an early start. We walked on to this cache from the last one and found it quite quickly.TFTC
The mini Biggles were out in force today. Lots of toys zubbing overhead.
The container had a bit of water in it, bit the log was high and dry.

After pulling the pin, just on dark, yesterday evening, I decided to visit the area again today to grab a smilie or two & do a quick maintenance run on a few of our nearby caches.
A rose by any other name is still a rose & with this running through my mind I almost walked past GZ. LOL ...
Funny how the mind works (or sometimes doesn't!).
A nice quick find & this rose appears to be of a climbing or rambling variety, perhaps a Pierre de Ronsard?
No, that can't be as they have creamy white to pink flowers.
Maybe a Graham Thomas?
Hmmm, not really, it's flowers are a golden yellow!
Definitely NOT an Abraham Darby with it's apricot pink blooms nor a Sombreuil which bears very large pure white flowers.
What about the beautiful Gold Bunny?
No, as it's name seems to imply the magnificent blooms are of a clear golden yellow!
Perhaps a mutation of the amazing Red Pierre?
I say mutation because Red Pierre has deep red 'double cup' flowers while this appears to be a single.
Colour most decidedly rules out the possibility of it being an Iceberg, Westerland, Celine Forestier or Sutter's Gold.
Anyway I digress with my 'rambling' (akin to this rose!).
All was found in good order here.
Made our mark & replaced as found.
Great cache container.

Caught up with Ms Maddy for an afternoon of caching in this little bit of bush land. I was on fire for most of the day spotting many a cache from a few steps back. Another challenge about this thorn among the roses.
Calling this the birthday run even though it's not my birthday
An easy find at the cache and then we watched a model helicopter doing aerobatics. I like helicopter rides but can't see the real deal doing twirly upside-down manoeuvres like this one. I was getting weary.

I had some unfinished business in these parts as I ran out of time on my last visit. So today I took a leisurely amble around Porters Paddock. There was a comp on at the aerodrome, but thankfully they ignored me as I walked around the perimeter.
A short detour in the bush and I found the cactus's cousin. Many thanks, Venn Family.
