Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we had been down in Wellington for a few days & were now heading North again thought we needed to stop here in Foxton to complete some caches today, had a bit of a drive around the back roads to see what we could find found this cache easy enough, signed the logbook & returned it to its location pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #5,913 for Us!
Just a little bit of time this afternoon after work so seeing how many in this series I can do! Many thanks for the mahi behind setting up and maintaining the trail
A few noisy/ nosy spectators with this one!!

#2442. A nice warm and sometimes sunny Horowhenua afternoon, so when JustlookingOO offered her services as chauffeur and guide to help to boost my numbers for the Wheel of Challenges, I jumped at the chance. The mint tin trail seemed perfect, as I had decided to keep going for the hard Challenge. Just 26 more finds required.
So, accompanied by JLOO and my muggle wwoofer Kristina from Hanover, Germany (who quickly got the hang of geocaching) we set off down the road.
Most of my logs were signed with (+ Kristina) to give her credit for helping the search. She may yet join the fraternity!
Tftc Popmac. Liked the nice new tin. We were first to sign in the new log book. FP as a tribute to this Mint Tin series. It was also the last find of the series of today’s road trip. Have left 2 unfound, to do maybe in May if I decide to pursue that month’s Wheel of Challenges quest.

It’s school holidays, so we are on a mission today to grab the chewy mint trail caches plus others. 30 - 50 caches was our target (we got 33). Junior was pretty cooked by the end.

Today TrinityNZ, Just_looking00, and I gathered in Foxton early in the morning to launch an assault on the Chewy Mint trail, the KAS trail, and assorted others that we happened across. Our aim for the day was 30 (absolute minimum), preferably 50. Our total for the day was 53, so more than satisfactory. We signed all logs as JMT. Most of the caches were easily found, some were a little rusty, some had wet logs. Where we could, we replaced any dodgy logs.
Down to the last few in the series. Another quick find. All good, tftc!

I’m out and about on this fine Easter Sunday with JustLookingOO and matagouri. We are heading north of Foxton to work towards some challenges, including 100 finds in April and 50 finds today.
Matagouri found this in the expected location. Log signed as JMT. Thanks for the cache, Popmac.

Nice - near the end of the road - so I can abandon this and make a bee line for a loo somewhere. But not quite yet...
Phew. Hot day!

Quick park and grab. The mint tin should probably be checked. but the log itself is safe and dry and the outer container is doing what it needs. Thanks for the cache
Needs maintenance very rusty and wet concealed it carefully back as found,
TFTCSL Thanks Popmac for this Traditional cache!

No joy for us today! Looks like the fence line has recently been mowed so maybe it’s been caught up in the debris? Will have another look next time
We went caching this morning after some errands and had some free time this afternoon so decided to hit our first power trail on the way to Himatangi Beach. Usually I get wet feet AT the beach but this time it was before…Jumping across stinky mud, stinky cow pats and falling into squishy grass piles that looked safe but weren’t.
Thanks anyway

It it pretty wet underfoot here today, but the gallant did the hard yards for this one so my boots didn’t get too muddy. Thanks for the cache. KTG
Out on the road with KiwiKatieG. Headed to Palmy for the night so thought we would collect a few caches along the way. The cache was very wet inside. But thanks to the double bagging. The log was perfectly dry. Lots of little bugs too. TFTC
Another quick find on the trail. Container very wet inside, but log book dry. TFTC
Found but was not closed properly. Contents are soaking wet, needs some maintenance
Popmac and I are planning to ascend Wharite Peak to do our best Sir Ed impersonation and "knock the bast4rd off!"
Unfortunately the weather deities had other ideas, and not being able to see the Ruahine Ranges or Wharite, let alone the transmitter tower, while we were gathering our gear together (Yes, it was daylight enough...) forced us to reconsider our intended travel target.
With an early-afternoon time restriction for my return, Wellington was quickly ruled out, and Foxton became the favoured hunting grounds.
Tally-ho!
We're on our way back towards Palmy now, and Popmac want to do the responsible-owner thing and check on some of his caches... most of which I haven't yet found. Yip, sounds like a plan!
The container has seen plenty of action, and is starting to show its age, but the log was soon signed and returned.
Thanks for the company and the caching today, Popmac. I look forward to our rescheduled ascent.

Down in the area accompanying GAR and his dog and while he is at a working dog trial I am doing a spot of caching. Meant to come down this road last time we were in the area for the same reason but injured myself and didn't make it. Today I set out to see how many I could find before we need to head back north and a stop in Hamilton for dinner with our daughter. The mint tins in this series are in a better state than those I found yesterday! Thanks for the hide Popmac - I hope you enjoyed all those mints!
Thanks for your amazing cache.
Dolphin had plenty of water. Good thing log is waterproof

Heading down to Foxton Beach for a couple of days and had spare time to cache. Just finished what I could of the KAS power trail and now the Mint trail. I parked up my camper van at the cemetery and got out the bike. Personally love combining caching and cycling and it sure gets rid of the parking problem on these small roads. Aim was to do the whole circuit which I did achieve. Great variety of hides and caches. Must have taken a while to put it all together. Happy to see most of the tins are protected by other containers. I recently did a series of mint tins and they were so rusty that I struggled to open them. I didn’t realise there were so many flavours of mints. All but one of the caches were signable. Thanks Popmac for the smileys. Nice to have so many in a row.
Day 1 of my week long road trip of geocaching, camping and seeing a few bands. Today I left Wellington mid morning and battled the SH1 traffic most of the way, caching as I headed for Wanganui. For the fist time I am using the cachetur.no website and app to plan out my caching, and so far I am liking it.
Logbook here was quite damp, but still signable. TFTC.

We did this area about a month in order to achieve the 72 cache finds in 24hrs. An achievement coin thats still out there in Geoshop land if you hunt hard enough! We were staying in Palmie for a couple of nights, so it seemed only logical to try and give it ago- we started late, and with 4 kiddos 12yrs and under, we thought- this is not going to be possible! But, despite a few DNF's at the beginning -and the negative vibe that gave us, we were determined to do it. 11.20am start, and we completed 65 of them by 5.30 at night- with a small lunch break on the side of the road and a few arguments in the car with restless kiddies- but a good haul! The last 7 were easily achieved the next morning on a morning walk along the Palmerston north River. 72 caches in 24hrs- whoop whoop.
I had been in Foxton in the morning and took the opportunity to grab a bunch of caches before heading back home to Wellington. As I was by myself I didn't want to "cache & drive" down these roads so I ended up covering about 12km on foot and grabbing a total of 23 caches on a beautiful sunny early spring afternoon.

Wasn't able to find this little bugger, doubt I'll be back to check this area again anytime soon. Hopefully I'm just blind!

Only have time for a few caches today, so it's good it was an easy one. Cache is a little damp. TFTC!
Heute hat das Entchen Geburtstag deshalb ein paar Caches mehr damit wir die große 1.000 voll bekommender Countdown läuft, nur noch 20! Danke für den Cache
I'm from Switzerland and spend 4 months in New Zealand on vacation. Found this cache the second time quickly, thanks.
Text later..I do like strawbeery flavour..but there were non in it .a very peaceful road to cache ...but thanks from Swiss guy !
Decided to try and grab some of the caches in the Mint tin power trail and this one was easily grabbed. Sorry about similar reports but lots of similar caches. Thanks CO for the series.
Found with little blue hen on our way north to turangi. Thought we could spare half an hour ticking a few more off en route. Tftcsl
Today was a numbers run for us. Lots of caches to choose from in this area so we did all but 2 of the KAS series, the mint tin series and some railway ones. 98 caches found in total and 2 DNF's something tells me we are going to have to go out again to find 2 more today. Many thanks to all the CO's of the caches we visited today, hugely appreciated and certainly love the quiet roads after Auckland.
Day #1 of our four day caching trip to Palmerston North. As it's the first time back in several years, there are heaps of new caches to find .
After attending this mornings event, and checking into our accommodation, we decided to head out west to the cache dense area of various trails. This afternoon it was all about the numbers.
Getting near the end of the road, and decisions to be made of where to go to next. TFTC.

#16336. Last MT find for us today. We enjoyed making a start on the series. TFTC.
Today was part two of my road trip home to Nelson from Auckland, after picking up my son's "new" car from Napier, taking me from Taihape to Wellington... with time to find a few caches along the way, of course. And then I found myself in the middle of a mint tin meltdown! A massive mountain of minty madness - and caches too! Apologies for the cut / paste logs. TFTC, Biggles.
A quick find while traveling through the area today. Thanks very much for the cache.
After doing the rounds on my bike a little north of here and locating 55 caches, headed along this stretch of road late afternoon for my final ten. Made a real day of it! Thanks to the cache owners for putting all these hides in place.
This one was a straightforward find. #2036. TFTC.

This was the ninth day of my twelve day trip to go to the Wellington Mega. I had to leave Wellington today after a very enjoyable Mega. I am back to finding a cache every 10km or so as I make tracks.
My SmartPhone was running on fumes, so I actually found this one without any GPS help. TFTC.

On our way back from the Mega with TeamBOP.
As we did the KAS trail on the way down, the area was needing a few more smiley faces.
Another smiley on the map.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Team BOP have descended upon the Wellington region for the 2018 WENZ MEGA. We have a lot of caches to get through so there wasn’t a lot of down time but it was great to meet most of the locals, CO’s and fellow cachers. My online logs are largely cut’n’pasted because my memory has started to blur many of my finds together so apologies for that. We’ve signed logs as ‘TeamBOP’ or individually depending on log space and time. Lastly a big Thank You to the Team - TNXPro, Davidsonclan, McJandals, NZFlossy, FapandGap & Squirrel Nutcase and to all the CO’s that made this a memorable trip.
Stopped here on way home from Wellington Mega weekend.
Quick find here today signed teambop.

Heading to Wellington Mega a day earlier with Squirrel Nutcase and NZ Flossy a day earlier.
Out to collect caches that we have previously passed.
So sorry cache owners, we had a fairly large find today so it's a copy and paste day.
Thanks everyone for their cache placements that we found. SLTFTC

WENZ Mega Weekend is almost here... Motoring south today with Gap (of Fap and Gap), and NZFlossy. Our intention is to cache our way to our accommodation in Lower Hutt... The big news of the day is that Highway 1 is closed at Pukerua Bay. A truck crash and chemical spill have shut down all lanes coming to and from Wellington. We have plenty of caches to find to keep us occupied, but this could be a long wait...
Friday: Turning eastward, we enter into yet another mini trail - the Mint Trail... We met several roadside workers, curious landowners, and a person looking to exercise his dog. On top of these encounters, a pervasive sewage smell seemed to waft into the vehicle from outdoors... Maybe the land could do with a mint... All of the caches were quick finds, with one or two examples of good camouflage. TFTC.

On my way to the mega with Squirrel Nutcase and Fap and Gap. Having lots of fun and enjoying the ride and the scenery. It’s what I love about caching - great company and visiting great places. Thanks to all the COs for all their caches Hopefully we see some of them at the mega this weekend TFTC
Up for the Mega for the week, headed up the coast for a couple of days on family stuff, but did get few caches in for the day. many thanks to the cache placer's - Bitsprayer
The local farmer passed us here in his truck with a load of silage bails on the back. We probably looked out of place but hey that's geocaching for you. We were quickly in and out again finding and signing the log, thanks
On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for. Great little series here with very imaginative hides. Thanks for maintaining these.
On my way from Taupo to Wellington today.
After nine finds in Taupo before it was time to set heading I really had to make a 10th find to tidy up my day.
