What a day, very windy at the lighthouse and really a lot of flys all around me.Cache was easy to find.TFTC !!!
A lovely view out here, although it was pouring with rain we still came over to find this one.Courtneyrose_ and I headed fora weekend away to Kangaroo Island, we came to check out the sights plus to compete in the Marathon. A great weekend away with a few caches found along the way. Thanks for the cache
Amanda is working for a while in KI and Ive come down to visit for a week. Doing our best to discover every cache on the island during our time. Grabbing the ones along the south and eastern end of the island so and today. Magic weather for it today. Amandas eagle eye found this one pretty quick. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Walked the easy .71 miles up from the Sea Dragon Lodge. Saw a lot of roos and sheep along the way. Due to the great cache information provided by the cache owner, it was a quick and easy find. Thank you for the !
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Victor Harbor yesterday and today we travel to Kangaroo Island. We went to take a look at this lighthouse and this cache was found.**Lead 'n Lace**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. This morning we left our hotel in Victor Harbor early to drive to the ferry to Kangaroo Island. We arrived at the ferry way too early but as it turned out there was just one spot left on an earlier ferry. Great, no waiting and more time on Kangaroo Island. Since our B&B is on the other end of the Island we decided to first visit Cape Willoughby. Very beautiful. Amazing view into the kitchen. The cache was found quite easily without any problem. Splendid spot for a cache. Thank you very much for this one.
We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best. We have been using geocaching to guide us around and two days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs. All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet. SL TFTC
Found this a long time ago, just realised we didn't log it! Beautiful location - the ranger said they are thinking of making a cantilever platform across the gulch. Now that will be worth visiting! Thanks
First and likely only find on our 2-day visit to Ki. Found with geokid on my back for safety. TFTC
Travel bug visit. Full log to follow. Exploring Cape Willoughby, Kangaroo Island. ?????????
After checking out the lighthouse I made my way to GZ. Couldn't find the cache for a bit until I widen my search. All good with the cache.TFTCEnjoyed the view into the kitchen
21169During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
30. November 2023 12:17, TFTCMy first Cache in Australia. Also first Goanna spotted, as well as 2 Falcons, just above the Cache. Small stroll from Sea Dragon Lodge to the Lighthouse.
I was in the area with bunadoorian and our friends as they wanted to see the lighthouse. I had seen the light house on a previous visit. So today I came in search of this cache which I had found with bunadoorian when we were last here but I wasn't caching then. I found it even though I was taking one step forward and two back as it was blowing a gale. TFTC and for bringing me here Lead'n Lace.
Pottered out here at the end of the day, late arvo light was stunning. Can't say the same for the wind - don't know which was harder, trying to stay upright or trying desperately hard not to let log book sail away never to be seen again! Absolutely worth it though, totally stunning
We ventured to this corner of the island to visit the lightstation and did the very interesting tour of the lighthouse. Our tour guide/ranger knew about the cache & the general direction to access it, but had not found it herself. We went for a short wander and found the cache pretty quickly. It was blowing a gale (see pic) & the flies were annoying too, so I was pleased to return to the sanctuary of our car. Fabulous views & GZ offered quite a different view than we had from the lighthouse too. TFTC - favourite point added.
Oh my gosh, thank you so much for placing this cache here, what a magnificent spot. Watched the waves crashing below for ages, lots and lots of pictures! Saw a goanna, the day is certainly starting off fantastically! Thanks Lead 'n Lace for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
A fantastic spot to watch the moons gravity in action. Pics. Thanks Lead 'n Lace and clear skies from TeamAstro. This took a little bit to find as the coordinates were approximately 5 meters off the posted location. This is a really cool and interesting location and I definitely enjoyed watching the waves crash up between the rocksIf you're having trouble tryS 35 50.623'E 138 07.904'
Visiting nearby as part of a expedition with Coral cruises.Found with just the co-ord's as it would not load to my Garmin.
What a great site to come to, the sort that makes this activity worth the effort. TFTC
Found on a very windy day out and about with Guzs Travellers - signed log as GUSH TFTC
Wow! What an extraordinary place! It is super windy here today. Favourite point for the location.
Feels a little like the bottom of the world here. Very remote. But there is a reassuring view of the mainland.
Amazing views. We wanted to go down the crevasse, but logic took hold.
Probably a good thing.

Landed on KI with the family, headed here as part of our first tour after having lunch nearby. [@trodectus](http://coord.info/PR8JTE0) and I headed for GZ while rest of family explored the lighthouse. Quick find at GZ, log signed and returned. TFTC
Found with Coybear2000. We arrived on Kangaroo Is and stopped at a winery for lunch. Then we headed here to visit the lighthouse. We left our friends and headed to GZ. A short search and we had CIH. Log signed and all replaced and we re-joined our friends. TFTC.
After a few problems with finding the right environment, the cash could be found during the very nice stay on K.I. and logged.

First cache on Kangaroo Island SA found it love it Lighthouse thanks bring me here
Such a stunning location. Sadly the cache has had water in it so I could not sign. TFTC and glad I didn’t see any snakes on the adventure!
Another DNF on KI. Not all that keen on putting my hand in bushes, having seen a couple of snakes about
Omg, it took me really long to find it, as the coordinates on my phone indicated to look somewhere else... But I insisted and I got it!! The content is damp, but still surviving
Btw, SPOILER (but maybe also a safety tip)... If your phone is not cooperating either, probably you would like to know that the cache is NOT very very very close to the cliff. Don't keep going down the rocks, next to the edge.
It's not there and it's not worth the risk. A hint... If you passed the "hot cross bun", you went too far. Go back a bit and keep searching
Good luck and TFTC!

Thank you for taking us to this beautiful location. We would never have seen the amazing view from this vantage point. Chickened out trying to get closer to edge to find the cache as it’s an extremely windy and rainy day.
Found on our holiday to KI. This was our last full day on the island so it was focussed on the eastern end. This was our first stop of the day to make the 10am tour at the lighthouse. We got a private tour as we were the only ones there. Was great to see the history and put the GZ in sharp context as the place where the stone for the lighthouse construction came from. Thanks for showing us this place Lead 'n Lace
Quick and easy cache today, container was a bit damp, but given the gorgeous location it's somewhat expected! TFTC
Tagging along with friends on an epic adventure. Leaving our South Gippsland home with a days notice and driving 1061km straight through to Emu bay, Kangaroo Island as the Ferry we were going to board, was now out of action.
These are the caches we stopped to find along the way. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining caches in such amazing places.

Great view of the lighthouse from here! I see the concern over crossing the fence but it's a pretty clear "crossing access point" and a trail following further along the cliffs. Agree not an ideal one for the little geocachers, but a good hide and thanks for showing us the access point!
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Visiting KI to maintain a cache that ended up being replaced by Liz and Bruce yesterday. But as the travel and accommodation was already was booked here we are with time to catch up on unfound caches on the island and to show my international nephew some of the sights.
We were here years ago to find the original. The building just as we approach looks dilapidated I don't remember it from the first visit. Looks like some sort of visitor Centre but it would be interesting to know the history.
Thanks for putting another cache here this spot really needs one to bring people or for the journey and the view.

Day 2 of our KI getaway and now we’ll into our second week of holibobs. What a contrast to Flinders!
We drove from Penneshaw to American River via the western cape, enjoying lunch at False Cape winery, beach walks, stair climbing and glorious weather.
What a super spot shame the original was archived as the style is so well described in the listing. Great views of the lighthouse from here. TFTC Lead n Lace

Day 6 of our 6 night break on the Island. Our targets for the last full day were the Western area. A stop for lunch of lamb sandwiches made us feel guilty with all the free roaming sheep around. A quick look around the lighthouse then off to find the cache that does need a proper log book. We did not have any spares with us. Thank you for the placement of the "THE CAPE" (mark 2) cache Lead 'n Lace find number 8491 on 14 September 2021 at 2:18 pm
Made the find after after a tour of the lighthouse. Lovely views in between showers.

Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangaroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come back into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.
Found the sty to cross over the fence and happy to say I came up a winner.

Thanks for bringing us here, even though we didn't find the cache the tour of the lighthouse was worth the drive.
Had a thorough look for 10 mins behind rocks and into the bushes. Widened the search but could not see the cache.
At GZ was a very likely place to hide a cache, so I went back to the car and grabbed a replacement cache, hoping to keep this one alive.
Replacement container is a dark blue pill bottle with a logsheet.

Four of us looked for a solid minute with no luck. I think I know where it was but alas no cache. Possibly overgrown - theres a lot of prickles and sheep scat around.
We've all looked around for a while, with no success. But, wow, what a spot, thanks for bringing us here
We were travelling on the Island with TubbyBooBoo and ZoBo01. WOW!! we have all said that far to often on this island, the devils kitchen is so amazing, but we hunted all around and peered over the edge to the spectacular scene below, but couldnt find this cache. Thank you for bringing us to this awesome area.
Very impressed with the Devils kitchen but sadly could not find the cache today. We found the hot cross bun rock though! Thanks anyway
This was found as we wander this great country
With a change of senery we headed across to an Island for a treat
with a bit of wandering and photos taken

My first time to this eastern part of KI and we just had to visit the light house and your cache. It certainly a spot where you need to watch where you are walking - amazing setting! Thanks for the cache and a FP given.
Arrived at GZ and there were a number of cars there - they were the tourists hanging around the lighthouse area. We ventured off to find this cache. What a great spot , fantastic view very close by and also along the coast line. Cache found. TFTC Lead 'n Lace. Giving a FP for the location
Found on a five day break on and around the wonderful Kangaroo Island.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
After passing some very buff euros, we plodded over to this cache. Great views from here! Thanks Lead 'n Lace!
I recall finding the mark 1 version when the Dudley café was still there. Thanks Lead 'n Lace.
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 89 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.
Caching with our friends SnappyTomCats, after visiting Penneshaw, we drove a bumpy road from Penne out to the lighthouse. Somehow, during our previous visit, we manage to miss the fact that there was a cache there.
Found by dunmowinJohn. What a view of the cauldron below! This was to be our cache #4500
Thanks LeadnLace for the fantastic hide.

Having some R&R in Kangaroo Island, staying with Dunmowin during the Christmas New Year week. Today we headed out to do some sightseeing and of course grab a few caches. Fantastic views from GZ and Dunmowin's 4500th find! ..TFTC
Really interesting spot!! The buildings and lighthouse were all shut today but the scenery was amazing. Found on the first day of our KI wander!!! Windy location (I was careful with my footing) but a memorable GZ ….. a favourite.
