This cache nearly blew us away - literally! Wow glad we are not in the ferry today.Been exploring KI with Piwaka 54 over from NZ. Seen echidna; kangaroo (not just squashed ones ); wallaby; koala; sea lions; cape barren geese plus loads of birds in the wild. Thanks for placing g the cache here!
A quick find here, cache is all goodCourtneyrose_ and I headed fora weekend away to Kangaroo Island, we came to check out the sights plus to compete in the Marathon. A great weekend away with a few caches found along the way. Today we drive around with friends Morgothegeo to find some caches as well. Thanks for the cache
More like the second placeOn Kangaroo Island for a few days mainly for parkrun and sightseeing. Of course we are caching in our group of gridge98, CourtneyRose and Sandyofthesea. Lead 'n Lace, I found "IN THE FIRST PLACE" today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
TFTC! Lovely to explore Kangaroo Island! Despite the miserable weather. Only did a few quick ones today as the muggle sister was disinterested!
We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best. We have been using geocaching to guide us around and two days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs. All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet. SL TFTC
A quick find with Bee Detective. Muggle family members kept the nearby campers occupied with small chat. Logsheet definitely full as we barely could find room to put our names too. I signed as ww.TFTC SL
Could some one please replace the log scroll (Bison Tube) in this Cache as I am about to head to WA west coast and will not be able to replace it. As its been in place since 2016, it would be a shame to see it archived for the want of a piece of paper. Many ThanksLead.
Day #5 Leaping Forward AdventuresIts the final day on Kangaroo Island so posums and I are slowly making our way back to the afternoon ferry before traveling in to Adelaide. It took a minute or two to spot this little one but we soon discovered the cheeky hide. Thanks Lead 'n Lace for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis and the Kingscote last night its now time to slowly head back towards Penneshaw to catch the ferry back to the mainland.Kangaroo Island has been on my bucket list for years and Roaming Howie had to squeeze back into the Geowagon put up with my driving and poor navigation for another day.Continuing along with our Geocaching expedition and visiting the Flinders Chase NP in the South West corner of the islandyesterday was one of the highlights of the Island. We will see what we can find on the slow trip back today and I didnt realise that the island so so big and I also didnt realise that Kangaroo Island was the first permanent settlement of South Australia even if it lasted only 4 years. The cache was soon located and we added our names to the log and on to the next one. Thanks Leah n Lace TFTC.
We are on a trip around Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. Beside visiting beautiful places we also do our hobby geocaching. Found it during running training in the morningLead 'n Lace, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
After visiting Emu Bay, I decided to check out this cache. Walked to the graves and contemplated what it was like for the early settlers, having lost a son ourselves, it is hard to envisage how they got through it.Anyway the cache was soon found and it was in good nick so I left a TB.TFTC
Needs new paper - full list! Nice hide - creative! Good view too! Looking up helped!

Day 7 of my trip to SA with barb2e. Originally, we were only going to Adelaide, but barb2e had the brilliant idea of adding KI to the trip, so here we are. This is one of the caches we found today. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches, which add to our enjoyment of the game and your island. SL

My husband and I are on KI for a week’s holiday, so I thought I would try and chase a few Smilies while we’re here. Today is our first day at adventuring and this was a quick find. It’s a gorgeous spot. TFTC

Took a couple of minutes but then there it was. Its great finding out these snippets of history. TFTC. Cache OK
Thanks for bringing us to such an idyllic location. Found as the sun was setting after another fantastically hit and sunny day. Found without too much trouble in the fading light. The log is very full and quite damp, so was hard to sign. Really needs replacing. Thanks for the cache - great GZ!
Heute mit Dr.King Schultz in Australien diesen tollen Cache mitgemacht. 3 Wochen Urlaub in Australien, einfach nur traumhaft schön hier.️
During our first attempt to explore Australia, Corona got in the way. Now we made up for it and found this cache. Many greetings from GermanyTFTC
Not sure how a Bison Tube gets a wet log. However, we are unable to replace the log as I am retired and no longer travel to the Island for work, therefore if there is someone contemplating a trip in the near future I am happy to provide a new scroll log to replace the current wet one.
Thanks
Lead 'n Lace.
Thanks
Lead 'n Lace.
I do love caches with a bit of history to learn! Thank you for the cache. The log is currently wet after recent rains.
