2758 - With a couple of hours to spare in between appointments, I decided to go for a drive out to Kilcoy. I used to spend quite a bit of time up here approx 30 years ago, so it was a great chance to see how the town has grown and expanded. Of course whilst I was in the area I needed to grab a cache or two, and this was the last of four I grabbed on this visit. I signed the log at 12:50pm after I had found it in its logical spot, after waiting for a break in the traffic. Thanks for placing the cache here to mark this location BRBE53, all was well when I visited it.
Will we? Won't we? The Roadworks made us think twice about doing it. But then we thought - Yeah come on let's do it!! The Roadworks guy didn't see us go for it and was yawning his head off when we returned. He looked a bit startled as if thinking where did they come from? We didn't see Mary or any smoke but found a Cache. We then continued our way to Kilcoy for the night.
TFTC Out caching w TreasureTrakas as companion. Tricky time to locate /sign cache due to roadworks but we managed it in between the stop/go lights and made it back to the vehicle in good time to get the green light.
Only just managed to grab this one. The traffic controller was probably wondering what we were doing. TFTC
There was talk at a recent event about cachers heading up to Kilcoy to knock off the Rose GeoArt and that burst of energy gave us the motivation to head back out and knock off the remaining ones we didnt grab on our previous visit, you never know if itll mysteriously disappear in the coming months/years so we wanted to finish it off just in case. Before we arrived in town we wanted to nab this one, unfortunately it was missing last time we came through and seeing that its back in action with plenty of finds now was the best time to grab it.We did a quick U-Turn at the street just past GZ and parked a few metres back, we had a good feeling where the cache would be and sure enough, our suspicions were bang on!So What is Mary Smoking afterall? Thanks for bringing us here.#4331 - TFTC
No sign of Mary today, but I was able to make a stop and quick geocache find at the bridge. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks BRBE53 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
----------
During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).
Today, I headed north via Caboolture, and I made stops in D'Aguilar and Woodford, before stopping at Stoney Creek in Bellthorpe National Park. Towards the latter morning, I set off finding the *65 Roses* geoart concentrating on the eastern circuit via Mount Kilcoy first, before then heading north, and back into Kilcoy for lunch. After tackling the central geocaches, I proceeded west through Woolmar, before finishing the series via the southern stem. As I was staying in D'Aguilar tonight, I returned via Mount Archer and a detour into the northern section of D'Aguilar National Park. A nice and cool weather day for collecting this series, and most of the geocaches were in good condition.

Toeing the caravan with geodog Peppa and geocat Levin in the car.
We’re limited due to the amount of room needed to pull off the road but this worked for a quick grab.

Why are roads only really really busy when you want to cross them to find a cache.
Fun history fact for the area, go Mary!
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

In the interest of keeping this cache alive and reading previous logs/DNF’s and a good search by ourselves using hints and tips from previous logs, I have replaced the container including a new log inline with the D/T rating until the CO has the opportunity to check out same. The new container is a 100ml plastic screw top. Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching. TFTC BRBE53

A very early start today out of the Kilcoy golf course. My first round in years and it showed. I'll put this one down as a practice round
I wanted to get a few caches done on my way home and this was a nice quick find. And it completes my Natural Wonders passport.

A stop by here on the way to Kilroy and the cache was found. Log signed and caches returned as found. Thanks BRBE53.
I love the story behind the name of the street here. The river is looking very pretty due to the recent rains and the lilies on the surface.

Out today on a mission with OBC and mini-OBC. Swung by here for a looksee. After getting started at Oh'God'its'early-O'Clock, and the mandatory coffee stop, this was the next of over 120 finds today. The sun was barely up, the coffee was only half drunk, but we are smokin'. Parked mostly legally for another good quick find.
Thanks BRBE53 for entertaining me at this location.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.
Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

After just completing the rose series, I was on my way home to beat the pending storms and saw there was a cache just ahead. I had to stop and have a look, an easy find and the the log signed and cache replaced as found I was onto the next one close by.

Mary must be out of tobacco because we couldn't find it.
It was a quiet enough time of day to make what we thought was a proper search.
Thanks for the opportunity to stop.

I was pretty fazed by the constant traffic and didn't make as thorough a hunt as I might have. TFTH BRBE53.
We found this one today whilst out for a Saturday/Sunday driver today at 14.27 hr. Find was quick and easy. Retrieval and relodging was another matter with the amount of traffic on the road today, however once done we were on our way again, log signed as IRT. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
Working in Mary Smokes Creek Road this week so just had to stop and check out Mary's smoking spot.

Continuing our way back to Toowoomba we stopped off at this one and make a quick find. TFTC BRBE53
I have driven past this cache so many times and read the interesting story. Today after tackling the 65 Rose's series and lunch at kilcoy my muggle husband and I picked up a few smileys on the way home. At gz I headed for a classic hiding spot and there it was. Thanks for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Early start to the series this morning. Quickly grabbed the Trads before collecting the fruits of our efforts the past few months! Thanks for driving Woodsy21.
We had just spent the day out on the jet ski out on the dam, driving home we thought we would stop and grab this cache as it has been annoying us for quite some time. We couldn’t find it ages ago and just gave up on it until today. Parking we walked over and Mr 4ando found it in a spot where I had just said ‘It’s definitely not in there!’ Whoops maybe it was my fault why we missed it the first time!

First cache on this trip to the big island that someone else has found on the same day.
A quick find in the obvious place on a busy road. Wouldn't mind a dollar for every cache we've found in this location.
Thanks.

Found with Touchstone7 on a trip out west of Brisvegas. We were up visiting my father and decided that a little side trip around an area I haven't really been to could be fun.
And of course, there were caches.
Thanks for the cache and sorry for the late log. Sometimes life gets a little hectic

Lots of traffic so take care at GZ! Back in Mary’s day it would have quieter along this stretch.

Today was a work trip from Brisbane to Kingaroy for some work meetings and back again. After the work meetings were done, my work colleague and caching collaborator was good enough to drive and stop to let me find a few caches along the way. Thanks for the interesting listing. There was another car parked nearby but it left before I went to look for the cache. No problems there. Found pretty much in the first place I looked. TFTC, Biggles.
