I no longer live in the area so will archive. I hope someone else puts one out in what is really a lovely spot off the regular track .
Had the pleasure of meeting another caching team but none of us could find it unfortunately. Lovely spot though.
I came prepared for this. Even took my shoes off and took about 10 minutes to cross due to the fast flowing, higher level and very slippery river crossing so I didn't want to come back without finding it. GZ kept bringing me back to one spot where it looks like there had been quite a bit of damage from flood rises and there is a fair amount of debris around. Even went up higher up the hill to a much more logical spot based on the clue and spread my radius a lot further including on the middle island, but nothing found.
Nope.... the creek was a bit high for us - we found a crossing spot, but there was still several inches of flowing water over a lot of the 'stepping stones' and a slip here in 4-5 degree conditions would be ordinary. Another time...
Tftc bliss baby, beautiful place to sit by the water while BL rock hopped to the other side and signed the paperwork.
Early morning visit to the river and a chance to pick up a cache! Been here a few times, maybe before i started caching. Water levels were good and river crossing was still ok to not get wet. Cache was out of its hiding spot in the open, but in good condition. Signed log and put it back where the hint suggested.

Once again my attempt to get to GZ was thwarted by the river being too high.
So happy to find this one. It’s at my partners family camping spot. His been camping for 30+ years and didn’t even know these existed.
Glad it didn’t wash away!!
Good fine

After a long day of doing tourist things, had a shower and took the youngest daughter for some driving lessons out of area. She did well and I picked up three caches, win win

Tftc! A great cache. The creek is very dry, which does not bode well for the Platypus!
We were heading towards the Jenolan Caves and that general area to go camping over the long weekend. After encountering some heavy traffic and dense fog (visibility limited to less than 20 metres) between Katoomba and Mount Victoria, we were suddenly in lovely sunshine again and all the traffic was gone.
I spotted the cache symbol as it appeared on my GPSr and saw several people camping in the area next to the river. Fortunately, they were at the other end of the place I needed to be. The 4x4 had no problems going down the track to a suitable parking spot near the river.
We took a gentle stroll towards GZ, and there I noticed that there was a stretch of water between us and GZ. Today I didn't fancy wading so I made my way a little further downstream to a very convenient crossing point. No need to get your feet wet if you cross here.
I initially targeted the wrong spot which matched the hint, but after no luck there the GPSr had also changed its mind a bit and was pointing to another location which also looked like a good hiding place. I soon spotted the camo and before long the cache was in hand.
Caching duties completed, the cache went back as found, and we all set off back to the car so that we could get on with our journey and still get a camping spot in the wilderness -- being a long weekend, and with no options for booking said place, we were hoping something would still be available at our planned destination.

This was a great place, we have seen lots of big Kangaroos - and I found the nice box. TFTC!

A nice walk to GZ. Did not see any Platypus in the stream. Dropped off TB, thanks.
A detour down the dirt track was followed by a stroll across the picinic area
Where I figured out that the cache was on t'other side [:o]
Time for some rock hopping
And across the Lett with a short scramble,
the cache was found
TFTC and a bit of exercise !! [:o]

Grabbed this cache when working on the Jenolan Caves MPT series. Looked likely platypus territory but didn't see any on this occasion. However, I did have a wonderful close range view of one at the Putta Bucca Wetlands at Mudgee during a recent visit (see photograph). By the way, this was my first ever platypus sighting. What a thrill!!!
We spent a great day with my brother (Dogwood53) caching in the Kanimbla Valley, overcast sure, but the rain held off. Returned to finish off the rest of Pandsa’s “Coxs River Road Ramble” series nearby and enjoy the stunning views across the valley.
Great little spot in the Hartley Reserve which we had never bothered to stop at before. TFTC

On a trip from Sydney to White Rock to visit family I took a detour to grab a few caches. Here I hopped, skipped and jumped the River Lett, well I gingerly picked my way across the river and wandered through long grass wondering if there could be any snakes around. Fortunately it wasn't long before I spotted something that could hide a cache. I was right and was soon signing the log. TFTC and the nice early morning meander.
From November 5th to November 30th I studied English at ILSC in Sydney. After these month I rent a car for traveling and driving to Melbourne because my return flight is from Melbourne. The plan for the weekend was to visit the Jenolan Caves. The Lucas Cave on Saturday afternoon and the Diamont&Imperial Cave on Sunday morning. After the Diamont&Imperial Cave I was going back to Sydney. On this way I found all boxes on the Jenolan Cave Road.
After crossing the water I needed only a few time to find the box.
Thanks for the cache from Bonn, Germany

After yesterday's rain we decided we would give this trail a visit, the water was flowing too fast to even attempt to cross the river
What a beautiful little spot this is! An unexpected gem on our way to Jenolan.

After dropping the girls off to get turned into sushi at some Japanese cauldrons nearby, us boys spent a few hours grabbing caches; this being the first of the day. A nice spot, TFTC

This is a cache I have ignored for so long as we were always going somewhere and never had time, well today, we made time for an easy find.
Went and beelined the cache, making a general assumption about its placement. We found it and the cache signing proceeded as normal, without and issues or wildlife to stop us. This was a really nice place to go to and a very pretty corner of the road to Jenolan. Thanks for the hide!
Found with Foreignnebula, Seanchai Dorcha, and TeamNormal, as part of a weekend romp through Jenolan and the Blue Mountains!

A lovely park - a little run down, but a real haven, secluded despite being close to the road. And the river so pretty, even if we didn't see any platypus. Good rocks, too. Tftc!
1st 1 completed of a day of caching – a very nice cache completed – at first I figured here we go – walk on water but I shouldn’t have worried – a nicely completed cache on a foggy morning – why only 38 finders on a nice cache - TFTC / TFTH / SL
When I was a child we stopped here to play by the river.

Out and about on a warm day grabbing a few caches, we found some really good caches today, it was a awesome day to be out as a cachers (and we found mint containers )

Pulled off the road while doing the trail nearby to find this one, started walking down one way but got a bit hard so we doubled back and then found a much easier way over. Cache was soon in hand. As cache was being put away massive winds blew in and a big branch on the other bank came crashing down. Being very cautious and checking all the trees and branches around us we made a mad dash back to the car just as a branch very close to GZ cracked and fell down. The road out was scattered with large branches but we made it out. An exciting adventure that we won't soon forget! TFTC!
Got to about 30m from cache. When tripped on 2 low strands of barb wire. Be careful, as it blends in quite well. Off to get an out of date tetanus shot updated
Found on the 28/11. This was one of my favs for the day. Good to get out and about rock hopping fun to find the cache. The sun was out and a little wren fluttering around the waters edge. I ended up sliding down on my butt after signing. A good laugh while out by myself

Hi there blissbaby.
We found your cache **"Any Platypus round here??"** today. (This makes our find count 17870).
Today we headed out from Oberon to complete the "Jenolan Caves MPT" - but we also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.
We found 24 caches today & DNF'd 1. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
###Thanks for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema here. Once upon a time caches seemed to be "regular" sized, and well stocked with goodies for kids to swap. Nowadays it seems like every other cache is small and devoid anything to induce children to enjoy the hunt. It made us feel really good to find this cache in a "special" place.###
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

What a lovely spot! I'm so glad we decided to do a couple of extra caches at the end of our day's caching. I crossed the river quite tentatively as I was afraid I'd end up with more than wet feet, but I made it successfully. The water is so clear here. Worth a favourite point TFTC blissbaby
After finding the one up on the road, we walked on down the track and discovered this lovely park and river crossing. It was really lovely in the late afternoon and the crossing negotiated quite easily by the more agile members of our group. The hide was located and the cache although blending with the surrounds was in plain sight. A fitting end to a good day's hunt with 100 percent smilies! We will return to this trail on another day! TFTC blissbaby.
Ahhh! A much more interesting cache! Enjoyed the walk along the river. A lovely place to stop for a picnic. Thanks for bringing us here.
Great walk to find this cache, I don't think it would be good to cross the creek after rain. Might get your feet wet. Did not see any platypus
A nice spot down here by the river. I have even camped here in the swag a few times.

### Trip to the bush ###
----------
Day 1
We started our trip in Rouse Hill towards the bush region of New South Wales.
Our first stop was in Springwood where we took a little bush walk and found this letterbox in the middle of the bush. We then visited the geological sandstone attraction and informed ourselves about the geological features of this region.
We then continued our trip towards Katoomba where we enjoyed the breathtaking view over the Blue Mountains at Echo Points. We took a little walk and reached the 3 sisters form the originally 7 sisters. Now it was starting to get dark and we continued on to the town to look for a couple of more caches before finishing off the day.
Day 2
At early morning, we relaxed once more for a little while longer at Eco Point before we continued our trip towards Blackheath and Mount Victoria.
We had a little break at Lake Lyell where we visited the dam and had some snacks.
We then continued towards Ryell and high up to Mount Lambie where we were lucky to spot many animals again.
We left the main road just before Bathurst towards the quiet countryside past Peel, Wattle Flat and the historical Sofala. We had a coffee break at Sofala where we drove around the old historic town.
We then continued our drive on Hill End Road and we socked in the beautiful nature. We were lucky to see many animals on the way.
We were welcomed by many roos at Hill End.
We left Hill End and drove towards Hargreaves towards our night stop at Windeyer. We slept at Bushland Tourist Park once again in the beautiful train accommodation. We had dinner at the local pub where we had nice pasta.
Day 3
We had to first free the car from all the ice before we could start our trip towards Mudgee. It gets cold out there at night, around -1 degrees.
We drove towards the west to Wellington and Stuart Town, Mumbil, Dam Arthur and finished the day in Dubbo.
We were astonished by NSW untouched nature and beautiful wildlife.
Day 4
We started the day with a little trip outside of Dubbo’s bushalnds.
We then strolled around the city of Dubbo and visited the beautiful Botanic Graden of Dubbo. The Gardner’s put so much work into maintain this beautiful spot. Well done.
We started the trip home towards Sydney past Wellington, Mudgee and Portland.
We drove past the Mt Piper Power station and informed us about the tours.
We continued towards Sydney.
We hereby want to thank all owners for all the work you have done in maintaining the caches. You have showed us many beautiful and also many hidden spots which we wouldn’t have found without the caches.
Thank you

Good spot but the water was a bit high over the rocks after the recent rain. I will be back

This was a lovely spot that I would have driven straight past otherwise. I found this one just before dark on my way to Bathurst, no platypus spotted today.
Thanks blissbaby for the cache.

We came late afternoon on our way west for the weekend. Probably a good time for platypus to be out, but getting just a little dark to actually see them. Last time we were at Jenolan Caves we saw one swimming in the Blue Lake late afternoon.
Parked near the road and walked down. Found a way across the creek, then started following the GPS. Bikerbuddy interrupted me & suggested I look at the hint. So I did, and spotted the hide, well away from where the GPS had been pointing.
Thanks

We left home this morning with a query on the GPS and a list of caches the WaywardWoman hadn't found. I'd already found many on her list, so it was good when she suggested we detour for a few unfound caches along this road. We had no hard and fast plan.
We drove down to the suggested parking coordinates and then followed the GPS along the creek. I hadn't read any of the logs or cache notes prior to this, so it was only as we were walking that I realised we would need to be on the other side of the creek. I began to wonder how we would do that. But we soon came to an easy crossing, and not long after that we were approaching the spot obviously referred to in the hint.
This was the first time I've seen this little spot, despite having driven past many times. We didn't see a platypus today (I have never seen one in the wild) but it was a pleasant place to visit. Thanks

#3622- About a week ago I wrote up a plan of caches to do while heading up the mountain for a day of caching to sooth my nerves after a straight week of work. This one wasnt on the plan since it had popped up since then. But bikerbuddy had his finger on the pulse and the plan changed to head down Jenolan Caves road and pick up a few we had missed there. This was one of about 20 I did on our upper mountains loop today.
This was probably my favourite of the day. A lovely location. Despite first missing the track to cross the river, we found it on the way back. (isnt that always the way?) Wouldnt want to try it after heavy rain or the river may not be so easy to pass. Thanks- a favourite point added.

What a cool little spot!!! Hung around the spot for a while, spotted a little fish jumping (was it trying to escape from its lunch date?) Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache blissbaby. Our find # 733. A fav point from us.
On the way back from the hike Team Canary was keen to pick this new cache up after having to drive by it yesterday on our way out to Orange Bluff. We parked at suggested and headed over with a few stiff moves from the hike but limbered up enough for the stepping stones over the river. On asking if we were close a likely feature was spotted and the hide found. Log signed and re hid. A nice little setting but no platypus sightings today. TFTC
A short detour in the way home from a massive adventure.

No platypus was sighted today unfortunately.

rogerw3 and I logged 25 caches today, both GC and GCA, and this was one of them, a joint 2TF.
We really enjoyed visiting the river, and it only took us a short while to find a way to safely cross over. We were really hoping that we wouldn't have to wade!
A couple of fishermen were there too, but they took little notice of us.
A quick find of the nice container. All was in good order with the hide. Took a TB to move to Leura. LNSL.
Giving this one a favorite point, for a nice adventure in a beautiful spot!

Heading out the door for a westward run with a last minute shut down of the computer showing one email. A quick view of the cache detail and a jot of the coords to a scrap of paper - added to the Garmins - with a rough idea of where to stop.
At the designated carpark there was a sweep of a fresh tyre mark ... and a disconcerting dark green swathe of water (to cross?). With no cache details, but the vague memory of rocks to cross, and a reasonable distance to trek it was off along the track.
Through the grasses and light scrub came the sounds of channeled waters ... closer and there was a wide rock field. A pause and ponder, the 'mushroom is not known for agility - though the waters were well banked and flowing through briskly through the crevices the overall view was that with care a stone stepping way was possible (with no signs of moss and a dry surface).
Across, the far bank only a moment's hesitation, and a wander to the GZ.
Cache was found tucked away in its hide, full of kiddie swaps - and a pristine logbook!
Vehicles have been sighted down this way in the past but the grounds purpose was unknown ... a charming little roadside stop, indeed. TFTC blissbaby
