The area has become very overgrown here, and not much fun when it gets warmer with snakes around. I found the cache in the mud and leaves at the bottom of the tree - the O ring had perished.
It has been hidden again in a new location - to be published soon.
Thanks to everyone who looked for this one.

Could not find...to many paper bark trees and horse shoe creek none of the clues helped
Found it....bit more of a trek through an area that doesn't get much foot traffic. Did cheat a little with this and saw someone's picture hint so our girls could find it.
Had searched for this previously without success and I understand that, this is a tricky little fellow but got it this time thanks now hopefully one more before the rain.TFTC
Was a good find, you have to look a bit deep though. Ring is rusted, I recommend wearing runners.
Bit of a mission using a phone GPS app as doubled around on both sides of the creek. Would have been a little easier/more enjoyable to be able to use the geocaching app, but so many caches have now been upgraded to premium/pay money. Money grabbers!! what happened to having an outdoor fun exercise?
Fun $$$ police at work now.

Sunday 20 August 2017 - a very pleasant sunny Winter's afternoon in the low 20s perfect for a 3.5km walk over 1.5hrs around the Hinterland Regional Park to find the 6 from 6 caches, and a further 3 nearby (9 from 9 in total). On arriving in the park we heard and enjoyed the call of the Glossy Black Cockatoo in the not too far distance. Thx MuggleDaughter. TFTC Kronski75.h
Out for an afternoon walk and cache find, this was the third of our Kronski 'tour de Hinterland Park'. We admit we got a little geographically embarrassed, arriving at a fork in the path, the arrow was strongly suggesting - "go that way" but having got to within 60m of GZ we realised we were not where we should have been, therefore needed to back track.
Now taking the correct fork we got ourselves to within close proximity and found it quickly enough. When I first read this cache name I was thinking perhaps a tree with stuff stuck in it, but its obviously been too many years since I've built a fire from scratch that I'd forgotten the other meaning of the word.
Thanks for the cache.

Coming from Birdsong by the Creek, went up a dry (actually damp) gully before backtracking to correct side of creek. I happened to fluke the first thing I looked at after hitting coordinates. Great cache.
Plenty of trees to choose from and I have no idea what a Punk Tree is. I guess that it could be a paper bark tree. My other problem was that the creek is in a horseshoe here so the hint only eliminated one of the four sides of each tree, if a tree has sides - haha.
The water has sure been high through here. At least a metre but I guess that was a while ago.

I checked on the cache today and it had become loose and was lying on the ground by GZ. Apologies for those people who had searched for it while it wasn't in place.
All secure again and ready to be found.
Updated coordinates as they were slightly off.

Noticed the couple of Dnfs but was optimistic that I might find it,unfortunately I was wrong and I have to add to the list, loved the area and the tracks though.TFTC.
Finally! And to think I almost DNF'd it again today. I only had two on the list this morning so to DNF both would have been painful.
If nothing else the stroll to GZ was pretty good I must say. The obnoxious weed that is growing everywhere is in bloom at the moment so it looks quite amazing with blue flowers everywhere and I do mean everywhere, even up in some of the trees.
My phone took me to exactly the same place as last time and of course I couldn't find it again. I widened the search area some more with still no luck when I noticed another part of the creek over yonda. I wandered over and started checking some more trees and then I spotted it from a distance, whoo hoo. Geez I was so close to walking away again. GZ for me was way off, not surprising though with the amount of tree cover.
Not to worry though, the deed is done now and this monkey is a happy one.
Thanx again Kronski75

This was another lovely walk to GZ right beside the little creek where joojoo57 spotted the prize first. Thanks Kronski75 for the nice hide, also loved the sturdy camo container and TFTC
I spent way too long looking for a tree that looked punk (?) and then decided to just keep looking and following the hint and finally found the right tree. My signing attempt here was not as successful as the last stick and mud for ink signing. I could only manage a little blob and an X. Thicker mud here and lots of farmer's friends to cross through. Thanks Kronski for the little series in here, a favourite from me for the series.
After first being on the wrong side of the water I got to GZ but didn't find it until I widened my search. Cool container! Thanks for the cache, in good condition.
Cheers

Very sneaky, but explain why the title's 'Punk tree'? It's more a paper tree...
Well that was a shameful display of experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk around to GZ from Fig pocket, including the cool little bridge along the track. This area has definitely had some water though here over the last few days going by all the debris everywhere.
I searched for what seemed like eternity but I had to walk away empty handed. Looking at the cache page now, I don't recall seeing the hint on C:geo so not sure what happen there. I did remove quite a lot of debris from in the trees but I couldn't see it anywhere. I even reset myself in the clearing a number of times then headed in without luck also. Hopefully it's still there and I was just blind today.

Navigating to this one was fun. No tracks are shown on my GPS so it was trail by Braille. I think I could have gone left or right at one intersection, but right got me to GZ fairly quickly.
A short hunt at GZ and the cache was located.

Took a walk in the dark, and with a moon through the clouds I didn't have to use the torch until almost at GZ. A few circles, and here and there, back and forth for 10 minutes, and finally found it!

Well, it has been some time since my last visit to this cache. The first was in the evening it was published... i made it all the way to ground zero in the dark but beer and batteries inpeded the hunt. Glad for it because today i got to see where i was going and what i had passed previously. Despite being in the dark last time, i recognised the twists and turns, though the ground was a lot more mushy underfoot today.
Lord knows how i missed the cache last visit. I suspect if i had taken 5 seconds longer i wouldve spotted the cache. It was where i was checking when the phone started beeping at me!
Thanks kronski75 for another good cache. Ive really enjoyed my visits to this park over the last few weeks. cheers!

We found this one was a little harder to find then the others we did on the circuit as there are several splitting paths and easy to walk down the wrong one. Got there in the end, made for an enjoyable afternoon.
I was very tired at this cache. We'd walked a long way and in trying to find a way to GZ we had to retrace our steps and find another pathway to get to the cache. We finally got the right path and the cache. Thanks Kronski75. We rewarded our efforts with a play at the playground before going home. TFTC! TNSL!
Boy did we make this find hard for ourselves. After eventually getting on the right trail we realized we'd have been best to have come here from the Birdsong cache back past the Fig Pocket cache and then around to this one. We headed off from Birdsong on what appeared to be a path going in the right direction to this one. However, there are a number of closed trails in that direction and they aren't mowing the grass on those. We pushed on however and eventually got quite close to GZ but it was on the wrong side of the creek. We tried to get to it from around one direction, which didn't work, so we had to retrace our steps and try in the other direction. This proved successful and we finally reached the area where the cache was accessible. Then on our walk back to the cars we passed Fig Pocket again! We did quite a bit of walking here! The kids stayed happy for the most part and were rewarded with a play in the playground until it got dark. Thanks Kronski75 for these caches. A great area to explore. And, I'm sure the parents of the grandchildren we brought with us today are also thankful because the kids must be ready for bed and worn out. Cheers! [^][^]
CazaG and I raced out for a moonlit bushwalk. We figured it would be good for a laugh and i figured it would be way more entertaining than the logies.
Arrived at the park and headed off towards the circuits before i found that my torch batteries were dead.
We negotiated the twists and turns to Gz using a torch app on my phone but only got to hint for a few minutes before a beep announced that if we didnt want to find our way out past all the spiders in the darkness then search time had come to an abrupt end as battery would soon go flat.
Had great fun anyway. I only discovered this park last week and love it . A great view of the stars here at night and it was choice walking through the mist.
I'll be back. Thanks kronski

Joint with Cantcacheous 2014 We were surprised that this one had not been found ,maybe everyone was home watching the logies , it was a good walk along good tracks to GZ and a well hidden cache TFTC

**FTF** Joint First to find with Gullivers Travels54. Was a nice walk through the park tonight. Few spiders and things that go bump in the night, only took about 5 mins to find at the most. Nice and easy but well placed away from eyes unless on the right angle. Thank you for bringing us here. Tftc
