26/12/17 Archived with regret as this area now requires payment of an admission fee. Thanks Mar1sa for trying to retrieve the cache . I’ll have to do it myself now...
Disabled as area is closed, as now being fenced and a charge will apparently be made for admission. Will wait and see if I enable this again as I disagree on principle to having caches in 'commercial' environments.

Nice quick find in a favourite spot! Didnt have a pen but photo per mike pe TFTC
Another one of those cheeky micros a. No wonder I didn't find the first couple times. Far. Had sum luck this time I guess lol.
Pulled up the anchors and we were off for a walk around this beautiful track. This was the first stop; cache found after a short search once geokids had vacated the spot. TFTC.
Woah that is the smallest cache we have ever found!! Very cool indeed, thanks!
Out with Red Roaming as we continue to explore New Zealand on our holidays here. loving this spectacular country. Logs signed with our full names or DD & RR to save space. The weather to day is lovely and sunny, as we travel to Whakatane today. we decided to stop and stretch our legs at this reserve. what a lovely place and so much geology and history. No problems here, but the cache did take a few minutes to locate!! once I'd thought a bit it was obvious. TFTC
apologies for the cut and paste logs

Cache took a few minutes to track down as we were thinking it would be a xxxx container, and we didn't take note of the cache title . Anyway clever DD as usually thought out of the box and soon had her fingers on this blighter! Many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer celebrating her taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

Cache check. All good and exactly where it should be. Visible on approach - again interesting to see who have logged online as found but not on paper log. Ah, well, only cheating themselves... Log not full either, by the way. Thanks to the paper log replacer, whoever it was. Cheers, GC.
The lawns were being mowed just here so it was a quick feel and grab off to sign log and a quick dash back to replace the cache. TFTC:)
had to be stealthy lots of muggles today and had to dodge some wasps but found it myself as kids could not see it lol
A little confusion over anchors meant this was much harder than it should have been.TFTC.
The Clean Green Wonderland cache was the reason (to help with one of the many challenges I have on the go) to visit here today. I was very pleased to discover there were other caches to find along the walk. This was the first and didn't take long. There aren't many places left on the logsheet.
We took a day's leave to make a long weekend to come to Rotorua (from the Manawatu) for a D5/T5 that we qualified for in Chch recently. Making the most of the trip and getting as many others as we can fit in. The Manawatu summer is dreadful this year and we cannot believe our luck on getting two gloriously hot blue sky days. Loving it!
Found the location but it actually took a wee while to notice the hide. Had to walk away and return to get the ahhh ha moment. People coming so didn't unravel the log completely to write on the correct spot sorry. Replaced where found and happily off to the next cache. Many thanks for bringing us to this location where we found them all. Yay. TFTC

Another good find on a bit of a trip away.
*Good weather and fun drive around.*
I really like this spring area.
Note: log is getting full - 3 spaces at end of nano sheet left.

From the campsite owner we learned about this beautiful walk. Then we saw the great caches in the Hamurana reserve and we have already done a wonderful evening walk. The Redwood trees are gigantic. Very beautiful here.
Thanks to the owner for the good coordinates and the different caches.

The only gift shop and info place we remember is the building/house out by the front gate. I bought a pottery jug from there many moons ago and still have it. Always wondered what this contraption was for, looks like some sort of sculpture. Quick find by Punga. TFTC. Spotted a huge trout under the bridge at the carpark.!!
On a day trip to Rotorua with the grandkids & just had to fit in a few easy caches.Quick easy find, thankyou.
#3292. We are staying in Rotorua for the day visiting family before we head back south. Persuaded a few of the wider clan to meet here for a walk around the springs. I managed to dart off and pick up caches as we walked around the path. This one took less than a minute to track down the hiding spot. Had just finished signing the log when I met fellow cachers pomsaway. Always good to run into other geocachers in the field. Rolled up the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here.
T4TC. Found this cache with our kids on our first 2017 caching mission.
We are in rotorua for the holidays and visited this cache today and was a nice quick find here as we walk around this park trying to pick up as many as we can, thanks for the placement and the smiley here.tftc
Missed it the time around, but came back after our walk around and found it. Great location.
#8770. A nice drive to Hamurana Road in Hamurana for The Hamurana Springs Reserve, which is one of our favourite enchanting reserves we have visited. A family was not too far away, but it was a relatively quick find all the same. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Final cache of the day and this was it. Picked up on the way out of the Hamurana Springs Loop. The redwood forest is amazing, by the way, and to cap it all, there were a number of fun caches along the way. So, TFTC!
Found it quick and easy.
Nice area, thanks and greetings from Germany.

I'm not sure why I hadn't picked this one up sooner but we're here today. After examining the area and not spotting anything special I said to my son 'is there anything under there?' and the jig was up. Cheers GenCuster, TFTC

Our first little walk for today led us to the walkways at Hamurana Springs. It’s a very nice kind of park there with special things to see.
This was our first cache there and we found it fast at 8:35 am.
Thanks for the hide.

Another stop off to stretch our legs and let Geocaching show us the best sights.
Despite the rain showers we really enjoyed our time here.
The rabbit didn't seem to be worried about us looking for the cache.

Had a lovely wander around the loop and looking for caches. This one took us longer than it should have, but also was quite interested in exploring what was left of the structure, and the pond TFTC GC
Spent a while looking for this one as my gps was all over the place. Then re-read the description and found it straight away. Nice hide. TFTC
At World’s End – New Zealand – One of our dream become true.
Our plan was to stay 4 weeks in New Zealand. But this wasn’t this easy to manage at work. So we moved spontanic the plan from march to november. We informed us before about point of interessts. The list was this long so we decided to go by campervan from the north to the south to have the most mobility. We arrived after way to much hours in Auckland and started there our round trip. At first we enjoyed the area in auckland and the north. In Waitomo we were able to see and enjoy glohworms in one of the famous caves. But this area had a lot of nice hiking trails were we could discovered the Piripiri Caves, Natural Bridge and the Marokopa Falls. This was already impressive to see and still the beginning of our adventure for life. The trip went on over Okere Falls Scenic Reserve direction Rotorua. In this area we enjoyed each hour, because each corner was different. We visited the Haumurana Springs – what amazing water -, Blue Lake and Green Lake and relaxed in Kerosene Creek. We liked all the water and in our travel guide we found a hike cloth to the Huka Falls, which ofcourse we did as well. All this flowers were bloom. One oft the Highlights was Wai-O-Tapu. The weather was perfect and all this colors awesome and the geysir a nice shower. By Campercan the to tour went on direction Tongariro Alpine with a short stop at Orakei Korako and the Tongariro River Loop Track. Lu like nice hiking tours and what could be the best for her birthday? Of course the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing. We started early in the morning and walked approximately 9 hours over gras, stones, snow and colorful water. Now we had to leave the Heart of North New Zealand and went over Taranaki Falls to the East Coast with the goal Napier. The weather was cloudy and often raining but a small sightseeing was a must have. The last stop on the North Irland was Wellington. But it was only raining and some streets were already flooded. That’s why we change spontanic our plan and only did the First Cache of New Zealand and went by ship over the Marlboro Sound to Picton. We went over Farewell Spit to the lonely Wharariki Beach with sea lions. On the way back to the big streets we stopped at Waikoropupu Spring and Janie Sesson Shipwreck and drove untypical to Karamea. In Germany we do not have this much and public caves and that’s way we enjoyed this area! Cloth to the West Coast we took a look at the Pancake Rocks. The weather was just raining and so we could not see the Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, but we still visited them. We leaved the bad weather in the hills and enjoyed the Sun at Ship Creek, Thunder Creek, Fantail Falls and the Blue Pools. Wow they were relly blue and this clean and deep. I never saw something similar before. About Wanaka we read a lot in our travel guide and looked forward to it. There arrived we visited the Puzzling World and walked around the sea. Queenstown the next town we drove just through because at this time there was a marathon and it was really campervan unfriendly. So we used the time and drove to Milford Sound and enjoyed the hills surround us on the water. I never felt this small. After we are landed again on land the trip goes on to the Chasm and Clifden Caves and the Clifden Suspension Bridge. Wow what an adventure. At the end we visited a few cities like Bluff, Duneding, Moeraki Boulders and Christchurch were our Trip sadly ends.
At all this places we looked for nice and unique caches which shows us places which we never would had seen without. We enjoyed the nature and wildlife each day and it was really an adventure for life. At the end we drove approximately 5000 kilometeres and felt this relaxed.
Thanks to all owners for placing this caches and this much informations which we got about the particular areas. This was an adventure for life for us. Thanks for this beauty time.

Took an afternoon drive around the lake searching for some caches along the way. Beautiful scenery and an amazing walk through the redwood forest. thanks to the COs for the variety of cache types and for bringing us to these wonderful places.
Our geocaching companion made a really quick find here on this one and we gladly signed the log. Obviously we are just at the very beginning of todays experience walking to the redwoods and along the stream but we are already enjoying it immensely. Thanks for the cache here GenCuster that has added to our enjoyment of our visit.
23/10/16 This is a D1/T1 cache. The size is accurate. What does the title suggest? Especially when read in conjunction with the description? You don't even need a GPS. As proved by my walking companion today.
Be careful though, not to walk into this nearby tree. New glasses is what saved me - I nearly didn't see it! Cheers, GC.

Did not find this. It was found today so figured it must be there. But then went around the others and now I wonder if it's been muggled cos the others were super easy and this was placed by the same person and claims to be of easier difficulty than its neighbour. It is hard not to get seen looking for this as there's a constant stream of walkers and tourists passing right next to the GZ site.
Also recommend doing the loop the other way if u are tackling this cache so you get an idea of what to look for. Didn't have time to go back and check again cos of the kids.
Thanks for this wonderful set of caches (even though we didn't find this one).

We always enjoy the beautiful clear waters of the stream here, so thank you GenCuster for the reason to visit again. See you at the Mega in a couple of weeks!
And then the rain came down and almost needed an anchor to prevent being washed away. Nice quick find and then dash back to the car. TFTC
2192 Over to do a days caching in Rotorua. Nice little walk to this. Was able to grab and hide behind a nearby tree out of the wind while signing. Came out and returned cache.
Teamed up with Cats&Dragons and 11HPG11 to focus on some of higher difficulty and terrain caches in and around Rotorua, and anything else that we were going past. The day started well before the sun was up as we left Hamilton at 4.30am, and the last cache being located a little after 3pm as we all needed to be back home at a reasonable time. The day was hugely successful with all caches planned for the day being found, and as a bonus the quality of caches were really high! So a big thanks to all the CO's for the great placements. The logs were all signed with "H1C".
The cache was quickly located once I spotted something that matched the cache name. Thanks for the hide.

When Cats&Dragons and HKCB suggested a day out in Rotorua collecting some caches perhaps I should have looked harder at just how many higher terrain caches we were heading for. I was a little tired after a whole lot of walking, I was very out of practise! A nice early start, leaving Hamilton at 4.30am meant we could make the most of the day. All in all a great day out exploring Rotorua and seeing some great sights. Thanks to all the cache owners for their placements which allowed us to have a fun day out! All logs were signed as "HIC" to save room
A nice walk through here, although it was too dark to see the lovely colours of the water. Soon spotted a likely spot although it took a bit of a widened search before we found the little cache!

This is to be a mighty day in the company of HKCB & 11HPG11 as we headed over from Hamilton to clean out a few caches (thirty plus) and get in a real good walk as the start of the new season takes hold. We all admit that we have all been far too quiet over the winter months, so this was a bit of a chance to make up for that. Setting out from Hamilton at 4.30am getting back at 5pm, covering approx 32km of walking tracks all in an effort to find plastic boxes hidden in the bush.
As always the day was full of laughs, long drags up hills and very weary legs at the end of it, what more could one wish for but the company of good mates, and I had that in spades. Thanks to all the cachers who took the time to place (and maintain) these caches for us to enjoy.
This was the fourth of the day as we made our way around the top of the lake before heading back down to the Redwood Forest and lots of walking. Coords were spot on it was just a matter of reaching around in the early morning light
Thanks for the cache, Thanks for the placement

Long day at work today so ddcided my cache of the day would be a local cache. Came hone around the lake and stopped in for a walk and a cache. As I approached GZ there were muggles around so I kept walking and did a lap up to the springs and back very relaxing and just what the soul needs.Once back at GZ there was only one place to look and bingo name on the log. Off hkme for a nap now before the tribe arrive home.
thanks General.
