Left Camperdown on my way to Portland to see the new Morris residence.
Picked up the odd cache on the way.
In Portland joined The Morris on deadly treadlies to do a couple of Adventure Labs.
I should of had a look at this one online before I found the mush that is the current logbook.
It was a nice walk out to GZ though.
Thanks, Robmc.

Hi there Cache Owner,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue with the placement. The cache is being temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
Whilst it is recognized that as a result of the current COVID19 situation, it might not be possible for a Cache Owner to just pop out and check on a cache, we still need to know that you are on top of the issue.
CO's of caches disabled during the current COVID19 crisis will be given some extra time to react. Caches where the cache owner does not currently feel it is safe to maintain will not be archived in the normal time frame, as long as there is some indication from the CO. **Don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do:-#
- Should the regional Health and State Government requirements allow it **AND** you feel it safe for you to maintain this cache now, please feel free to do so. Don't forget to log an 'Owner Maintenance ' log and also Enable the cache once the issue is fixed.
- **Alternatively,** what you need to do is place a Write Note log indicating a date when you you expect you might be able to attend to the issue/s.
#Please Note#
When the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment from the CO as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
**JUST A HINT:-** In case you are not aware, there is a new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own. Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)
Thanks for you cooperation,

We have just moved to Portland and now the boxes are unpacked today we started to explore the area towards Narrawong.
What a stunning area Narrawong is, we enjoyed checking it out. As others have said the log is mush and it needs some attention.
Thanks for the cache shelley roberts

Took 6 Of Us A While To Find Good View At The Top Of The Hill Also The Gold Rock Is Missing From The Top
After over indulging yesterday we have headed to the coast for cooler temperatures today. Took us a little while before geoD spotted the out of place item.

A little off the beaten track and we did find it although the log was a little bit wet.

Found. Coordinates spot on. Bit different, geocache is kind of disguised. Amber and Pip.
Found by Mary and David at 09:45:00. So good to be able to turn previous DNFs into a smile. A chilly wind past the ancient cypresses, but we enjoyed the walk again. How could we have missed that before? Our thanks to shelley roberts.
Great hide! Loved the adventure of the find, 3 adults and 3 geokids and we still took forever to find this one, turned out i had nearly been standing on it the whole time!!!
That took way longer than it should have!
Struck gold after reading logs.
Another spot I wouldn’t have known about if not for geocaching.

This took us way too long to find today
No need to leave track or become a bush turkey
We did strike gold though

Travelling towards Pt Fairy when stopped to locate your cache. Parked near some huge lovely old trees abd took photos before locating your cache. Found with The X-Trailers and 3LG. Took way to long as gps kept leading us wrong side and towards likely spot. About to give up when 3LG started searching in a grassier area away from shrubs a bit.
Gold was found in them their places. TFTC and a fav fav point

Found with earthlight and Gwen of The X-Trailers while making our way to Portland. Took us awhile with sat lock on wrong side of trail, finally found the 'right' side of the trail and rewarded with gold.

Took a bit of a search after a leisurely stroll up the beach. My canine caching companion wasn't much help but we came up with the prize eventually. TFTC.
I wandered this path this morning.
And after prospecting around for a good 10 minutes,
discovered that there is gold in them thar dunes
Caching gold that is !!

After search of the main track and reading and looking at the resent pic finally found it yay Tftc found by inspector Rex and wife and geo dog
Just got beaten to the cache by Dennis and Johnny - we walked but they drove - didn’t take us long to find it but it was covered by grass so a bit harder to see. Left a lucky Chinese Half Moon Token. TFTC 2BluFish
Very very interesting. Well I must admit we were about to give up given the log history, however Mrs Geo just wanted one last look and bingo. Then to our surprise we were the first to sign the log which left us very discombobulated. None the less a find for us with a sense of accomplishment. TFTC
Please note that there is a hint for this cache..
I have also previously written on my last maintenance post that you do not need to leave the track..
There has been a recent find and this person has messaged me to say its still there. I am checking myself when i am near the cache next.
Thanks.

Not sure whether to call this a DNF or abandoned. The coordinates had us off the track and after eliminating the visible and the next step being vegetation damage, we abandoned the search. A clue might help prevent environmental concerns.
Coordinates changed from:
S 38° 15.377 E 141° 43.005
Coordinates changed to:

Please be careful when caching, while i was looking for the missing cache i put my hands on this blue tongue or drop tail lizard which was hibernating just under the sand/leaf litter! I did let out a wee little squeal!!

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as one that may need attention. Perhaps it is time for the CO to check on this one please.
I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Your prompt attention to logs that indicates things could be amiss will be greatly appreciated by all geocachers. It is generally accepted that 3 consecutive DNF's is reason enough to check, see here: [**Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,**](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance )
Please respond to this situation by **12th July** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and indicating a date when you believe the situation will be resolved.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

Out searching for caches whilst staying at the caravan park, but no luck with this one after crawling among the bushes we walked to the view of the beach - lovely!
Second DNF of the day .. seems we're a little rusty as we haven't geocached for quite a while .. as close to home so I'm sure we'll be back without little geokid
We had a hint from a previous finder at the Event today, so returned for a second look. Unfortunately, even though we now knew what we were looking for, and roughly where (several metres from our indicated GZ), we were still unable to find it. Maybe on our next visit? Our thanks anyway to shelley roberts.
I spoke with maccamob earlier and even got some info from a previous finder but no luck for me today. I will just have to come back.
Thanks from mogni

Had a look around on both sides of the track for ages, but too good for us today. Our thanks anyway to shelley roberts.
This was a little tricky. Sun is going down but there is still light enough to find this gem. TFTC
We looked for a while but could not find. Did not see any reptilian friends like others have
Great little hide and camo on side trip to Mt Eccles area from our Portland long weekend base. TFTC
Cache checked and matainence done today. Glorious walk on the beach with geodog aswell!
Heading home after a fabulous long weekend in and around the Portland area we made sure we collected all the trads that we passed. Parking nearby we walked the sandy track and started our search for this elusive cache. Only after reading previous logs did we manage to zero in on the prize where we added our name to the log. Thanks shelley roberts for the nice bit of cammo.
On my way to Portland for today's event. I left Warrnambool early so that I had time to pick up some caches on the way. Surprisingly, I found this one fairly quickly. A nice bit of camo. The container needs a bit of maintenance, so it needs to be handled carefully. I'll message the CO with details. TFTC shelly roberts.
Suscoe was down in this area for our annual dose of music at the PFFF,
we look forward to this weekend all year long.
So with an early arrival we headed to the Portland area for some caching time.
It was a beaut day and we had a great time.
Thanks to shelley roberts for this cache, we enjoyed the walk.

TFTC. We are camped at Sawpit camp ground for a few days prior to the Portland event on Saturday. The morning started overcast so we had a late start. Our intention was to find some of the local Narrawong and environs caches.
Today I decided to drive across to Portland, to visit my sister and her family while they are staying there, geocaching my way there and back. I enjoyed the walk between the reeds, with the wind whispering through them. But when I got to GZ and realised that I was looking for a micro, I was not inspired. Reading through previous logs about long searches and tiger snakes made me even less inclined to put in the effort. It's a shame that, in such an out-of-the-way spot, this is not a regular-sized cache or larger. But I walked over the hill to enjoy the view of the sea before returning to my car.

I am in Warrnambool, camping here with Geo-Sons for our annual 10-days-in-a-tent. A few years ago, they started rolling their eyes and saying, "Do we HAVE to go geocaching?" As we've walked around town over the past couple of days, I've kept saying, "I bet we are walking past geocaches" Well, I think I have got the perfect balance this year! They both have to work in Melbourne this weekend, so I have put them on the train, and now have three days to myself until they return on Monday afternoon! Geocaching - here I come!!!

We had a search, no cache found but got heaps of cuts from bushes.
It's not my kind of hide if the coords were correct.
Maybe another day.

Geogrrrl stayed out at Narrawong for a school Halloween dance party so while waiting for her to finish I decided to nip down and sign the cache that I'd previously managed to finally find a several unsuccessful attempts. Even knowing where and what I was looking it took me a few minutes to locate this nasty little hide. Certainly the most difficult D2 cache I've ever found.
Located 3 or 4 metres closer to the track than my GPSr indicated.
Glad to finally get this one off the unfound list[^]

Never seen a Tiger Snake imitate a cobra before! Very cool. (fortunately!)
Eventually uncovered the cache too. TFTC

On the way to this hide saw a stunning Tiger snake on the track.... Not sure why it was out on such a cold 14 c day.... Making a living working with snakes etc this really was a great spot to come to today and see this beautiful reptile .around ground zero it took awhile for me and my cacheing mates to make the find but pleased to sign the log. Fav for me because of the snake and interesting location.
Tiger snake nearby was hell of a kind.. That comment might make more sense when you find the cache
Finally uncovered this nasty hide. Will have to return with a pen to log as found
Just been out to check on cache. Co ords are spot on, cache is there, just well camouflaged!
Visit number 5 or 6 after dropping geogrrl off at the local school.
Spent about a half hour looking only to come away with yet another fail
