What a tricky one for a novice like me - I now know going forward what else to look out for - TFTC

The assistant declared that they didn't want to go to soccer this morning but wanted to find treasures instead, so we've decided to do the back to the future series instead.

Arriving at GZ, someone made a beeline to the playground leaving me to search alone.

It took a little poking before I discovered this very clever hide, with the coordinates for the mystery.

Log signed as Bruno and Dad

Before heading homeward Mrs Jag and I decided to do this series. The cache was spied on approach so another nice easy find.

22-Sep-20
After completing the adventure lab in Lloyd Elsmore park, we had time to collect a few more caches before heading west to try and beat the rush hour traffic. This turned out to be a quick park and grab to collect the required information for the bonus.

28-Feb-19
Yay!

We found the 2nd one in the series! This one we really liked.

Again, we were in the area so decided “Why not we go and find it?”, so then off we went.

We got to GZ and the GPS was being a little annoying (As usual) but in the end we got to where the cache was hidden!

I spotted the cache pretty quickly as I have seen some like this before and not long later Cachewnut saw it. Thanks TheCoblets for a fun and well camo’ed Cache to find!

Number 1

11-Oct-18
Luckily I had an expectation of what I was looking for because it started to rain really hard as I got out of my car. Cache doesn't have original log in it so I think the "other" coordinates are gone too.

11-Sep-18
I had to attend some staff training in Botany this morning, so afterwards took advantage of being over here to do a spot of caching. A quick park'n'grab here once I realised what the target was. Thanks.

12-Aug-18
Got it! Really cool cache. The package was really damp and I had to be extremely careful when I read off the numbers for the puzzle. Off to the last one, TFTC!

Cool placemint

05-Jan-18
Brought my parents along for this one. We saw it from the car but we decided to see if they found figure it out. It was kind of funny because they looked at it three or four times before they checked to see if it was the cache. Impressed they figured it out. These are not easy if you've never seen them before. Thanks for this. Was trying to foubd any easy one in the bad weather to keep the streak alive.

05-Jan-18
Easy find! Was a bit of a laugh as we brought michaelteacher's parents along and made them look for it. We spotted it upon parking the car, as we've found so many of these, our eyes just automatically spot them. His parents must have looked directly at it multiple times haha. Reminds us of the first time we found one of this. Good times. Tftc! Smile

29-Aug-17
Nice easy find. No muggles around. TFTC

27-Aug-17
Next weekend is an event for laval's 1000th find but he needs about 10 more caches to get there so we decided to find a few local ones today to get his numbers up.

Quick find with no one around at the time. Only remembered afterwards that I needed to get some information from the cache Sad. Will have to return another time to find it.

Thanks for the cache.

Up In Auckland for a meeting North of Albany early in the morning and even though the meeting was not for another two hours I know from past experience that you really need to be over the Bridge by 6.30am otherwise you ahve a good chance of not making it to an 8.30 meeting with all the traffic on the Southern Motorway. Seems to be a fact of life in Auckland nowdays and only getting worse.
In planning my day last night I noted that Multi's were the focus of this weeks souvenier but it was a case of grabbing what I could. Back in the East Tamiki/Botony area I noted that this little series finished with a multi so it seemed only appropriate to grab them as a family. So working my way through them and taking notes of the numbers it was quickly in hand.

Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Out and about for a spot of geocaching today, now that the worst of the weather has passed on by. I parked up, crossed the road and quickly spied the well themed GZ. Spotted the hide on approach. Nice to execute a super quick find. Made sure to jot down the additional information for the related multi cache. Cheers for the smilie!

18-May-17
First one of this type I’ve found. Was only days before I was looking online for some ideas of cache types and saw this type, and today on my way to work was rewarded with actually finding one. Sherlock the puppy had posted a photo of
the horses nearby, so knew I was close. Enjoyed this one. TFTC
PS: You hid this cache on my birthday last year - good on ya'!

17-May-17
Needed a cache for my geo calendar, and as per usual I was busy all day so had to do it at night after the gym.

Arrived at GZ found the cache and was soooo glad it was dark, as know one saw my body moving in that weird way, but the earth did move.

Signed the log and moved on :-p

24-Mar-17
Look up found it straight away

18-Mar-17
After completing the nearby Scenic Route series we carried on caching around the area picking up a few more caches. This one was a nice easy reach for the tallest member of the team. Signed log and picked up the info for the nearby multi, TFTC! Big Grin

5.45pm -Today was a numbers day for us with hopefully most of them being drive by caches.
I worked out a route plan, met the Squirrel at Te Poi and made South Auckland our target.
Many interesting array of finds and tasks to collect caches with the odd one not a drive by.
This was an interesting cache placement. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Short term goal: reach milestone 6000th find... It' all about the numbers, baby!

A few more hides left on today's list... We parked alongside ground zone and knew immediately where this was. I got out and surveyed the object and spotted the cache more than two metres off the ground. I am quite tall. But this one required a leap before I could grasp it... Are you kidding me? We signed in and Gap told me to put it back where I got it... Good luck if you are vertically challenged. TFTC.

Out and about for a boxing day drive by cache grab. Thanks.

13-Dec-16
Am currently attempting a 50-day streak as part of my GIO Licence, and so needed to find a cache for today. With a busy day planned, I knew it needed to be a quick one, and so when a quick check of my map revealed this cache on my way home, I decided that it would fit the bill perfectly.
picked up junior NewlynFam (Wolfie109) from school and headed here. Once we pulled up to GZ, I realised exactly what the hide would be, and so sent her out to retrieve, thinking she would look less suspect than me. She happily trotted off to GZ and circled it a couple of times, and then relised where the cache was hiding and so motioned to me- turned out that she did need my help retrieving it after all, although it was positioned where I almost couldn't get it either!!!! Wink
Took a seat and completed the formalities, feeling thankful that there was no one around, then it was back to the car and off we went.
Nothing to see here, people! Razz

A quiet street at 8.30 Thursday morning allowed for a quick find. Thanks

08-Nov-16
Made for the trees in the park without using gps (hmmm). Went to two other structures that could conduct lightning (hmmm). Finally admitted defeat and went back to car to get gps with surprising results. JUst ,as well I had seen several of these hides recently otherwise could have been looking a long time.

I was in the Botany area today for some shopping and decided to grab this on the way home. I had an inkling of what I was looking for and saw it on approach to GZ. The issue was getting to it as it was way way out of reach. Luckily I had something in the car that helped me retrieve it. Log was signed, coordinates written down and cache returned, TFTC!

20-Sep-16
Stopped by for a quick park and grab after school drop off. Love these obvious but not obvious ones. Smile TFTC!

20-Sep-16
I had an errand to run today for work which took me right past this cache. So, naturally I decided to take a small detour and it worked out fine as I was slightly ahead of schedule. So after I parked my vehicle, I had to wait a while as there were two cambodian muggles having a chat in the garden of one of the houses near GZ. So after their conversation finally came to a close, I got out of my vehicle and proceeded to the general GZ area. To begin with I was looking in the wrong place completely... and so I needed to rethink my strategy. As a mother pushing a baby in a pram was coming, and as I didn't want to look too dodgy, I went back to the car to re-think my approach. As I re-looked at the log and the name of the cache, it then clicked. I knew exactly where it would be, and sure enough I could even see it from the driver's seat. So I retrieved the cache, took it back to the car and signed the log. I also discovered the extra coordinates which has now peaked my interest in the other caches in this series that have now gone on my 'to do' list. So after a number of high school students had walked past, I replaced the cache without anyone being any wiser as to what I was up to. It was at that time that I noticed some very cool spring flowers that I photographed... I have included a couple of shots as a part of this log. Anyway, thank you TheCoblets for taking the time to set up this cache... and evidently the others in this series. I think I will need to pull out the 'Back to the Future' DVD's off my shelf and have an evening of nostalgia sometime in the near future... TFTC! Smile

Its International Geocaching Day today so I had to grab a cache to celebrate. Picked this one up on the way to the supermarket. Okay it was a slight detour I admit. Some rather large houses around these parts.
Thanks for the cache.

14th and final cache of the day for us, nice little hide! Pulled up wondering where it might be and then spotted it as soon as we got out of the car. Read the newspaper too! TFTC.

I parked very close and made the find quickly. I took a minute to read the newspaper that was inside. TFTC.

Well, Mrs. Liver Bird was procrastinating again and not wanting to go home and get on with her work, so after getting one cache done it was, where is the next one we are going to find? This one was near the last one that we had just found and Mr Kiwi recognized this as being part of a series that he had been eyeing up since he saw it. No matter that we would get number two in the series before we get number one.

Anyway, off we go towards this one. As it turned out, it was just around the corner from friends of ours whose house we had used to have our wedding photos taken in. Before we started looking for the cache, Mrs Liver Bird, who was doing the driving, wanted to go for a drive around the area and have a look at the rather palatial housing. Ahhh.... dreams are free.

We pull up where we think GZ is, get out of the car and sit on a nearby bench while chrisandmum had a small play on the playground. Then we decide to get out the phone and check how close to GZ we were, only to find that we were relatively nowhere near it. Having already read the hint, we soon spotted GZ and headed on over to it. The cache was rather obvious to us as we had found a similar cache before up in Whangaparaoa. Mr Kiwi would also love to place a cache like this one day.

As the cache the retrieved, chrisandmum decided that he wanted to come and be with us instead of playing on the playground, so Mrs. Liver Bird made sure we was safe as Mr Kiwi signed the log . We then searched through to find the numbers that we needed and stored them away for future reference before replacing the cache where we found it.

Of course by now, the bug had bitten and we just had to find another cache.

TFTC.

19-Jun-16
We just had to find one more cache today, well 3 more actually and this was one of them! Great hide - luckily we had done one of these before so we knew exactly what we were looking for. TFTC

I came up to Auckland for a few days to catch up with friends, and have a bit of a deserved break from work!!

This was day 6 and the final day of my trip. I was pretty much keen to get a couple of errands sorted, and given that I'd already caught up with everyone that was avaliable, then just find a few caches before going off for my plane!!

This one was on the roundabout route I took to the airport. Have seen much of this camo around before, so it was a nice and easy find here.

Consec caching day # 1318

TFTC!! Smile

Tftc. Someone has signed the log with a rather rude name which can be associated with them where I found the cache. I had to climb up on my car roof to retrieve it.
