Thanks everyone for climbing the hill to find this one. I'm amazed that such a simple idea proved so much fun

TFTC! Would of loved to be able to solve this one in its hay day, but was open when I arrived, and the lock was locked st the back of the cache! Put it back together the best way. Lots of Roos here, near the gz.
Cache requires maintenance. Screws failing and measuring device missing. Container and log dry and in good condition.
Out and about with Muzza for his 15Kth find. I love the effort some people go to. A well-deserved FP from me. TFTC paultheball
Fixed latch. The lock is on its last legs and will keep this enabled a few more weeks if anyone wants to find it.
Wow. Just when we were about to give up finding the small cache we found it. Took some team work to log the book. Definitely a satisfying and rewarding feeling completing this one, especially when we were so close to giving up. TFTC. Yours have been our most favourites in Melbourne to date.
Another awesome one!!
We wish we could take some treasure for the box but in this Coronavirus time we have only hand sanitizer and our own pen!!

Found this cache pretty quickly whilst out night caching last Saturday. It was a great cache to find whilst introducing some newbies into the world of geocaching. Thanks for the cache, we thoroughly enjoyed finding this one
The last of the series for us. Such a shame the other two had to be archived! (I suspect one may have been 2G network related which sounds very cool!). Thanks for all the effort in hiding and maintaining these! A great afternoon finding these on my 1000th cache trail. Soon had the required tool in hand and the lock was soon opened! TFTC
We measured up and were fit for the task
Thanks for the fun gadget series today, it was awesome and worthy of many favourite points!!

Haha lucky I remember my days at school well. Cheers for the cache.
For future geocachers - be gentle the screws are delicate, message has been sent to owner that it needs maintenance.

Was a fun cross country hike to get to this one. Unfortunately, the screws had come out of the hinge holding the lock and the cache was open. Have fixed it as best as I could, but needs some maintenance.
Thanks again paultheball for the cache and an awesome day in Churchill Park!
Thanks again paultheball for the cache and an awesome day in Churchill Park!
Found with JelenaGreenleaf. Probably came at this from the wrong side however all downhill is much easier than the (otherwise) uphill scramble. Took us a few tries with the lock, turns out only cause we were pulling on it hard enough, and had the right numbers all along. Saw a bigger spider which gave me a bit of a fright; and a few roos too on our way in! Another fav. Tftc
Found with georocks101. It's ok guys, the cache is safe from the giant spider for the next finders. We removed it with a long stick without causing it any harm. Getting the info to unlock the cache was fun and pretty easy thankfully. Thanks paultheball
A nice Day for caching so I am back at Churchill park to try and finish the caches in the area .
did the measurements and it took a couple of goes to open the lock . Helps if you do them in the right order . Well that was fun , Thanks paultheball for such an amazing cache . Deserves a favourite .

Thank you! Visiting from Colorado and left a trackable behind. Out with D-oz today
Out caching for the day, MontsII and myself decided to finally do the much talked about Gadget caches in Churchill. We had a great afternoon walking around and making the finds! Thanks for placing the cache paultheball
Caching day at Churchill National Park. Beautiful day and place! Saw kangaroos. Thank you paultheball for placing the cache and fun. I love this clever puzzle. A fav from me.
Found your cache today. it was fun with measure to work out. fav from me. paultheball, thank you so much for placing it.
Found this one after startling some kangaroos on the way up. The lock was open but the contents were all fine. One of the geokids solved the puzzle any way because otherwise we weren't playing properly
Grabbed the TB here to move along. Another fun cache in this group.

That took way longer than I expected.
The lock just wouldn’t let me in.
Umpteen tries later I was signing the log.

Great cache with lots of swopables plus a travel bug we decided to leave. Had some trouble with the lock but got there in the end. TFTC
Found the geocache but dropped my pencil somewhere on the track so can’t sign the log book.
Its my birthday soon...

**Find #3475**
**Traditional Cache Find #2349**
I headed out this afternoon in search of caches with lots of favourite points to assist me to complete the "Cache Carnivale." This was a type of puzzle that I hadn't seen before. It took me a couple of goes but that was because I had the right combination, but the lock was sticking. Some lube here would, I think, be very beneficial.

2nd find in the series this morning and again this one did not disappoint
Found at 11.05am it didn't take too long before the log book was being signed
Loving the stroll through the park and the bay views
Cache found in excellent condition. Many thanx to paultheball

The geo hubby, or gadget man as I am now calling him, cracked this one practically before I had taken the pen out of my backpack. With a big smile on our faces, it was off to the next one.
Thank you paultheball for another awesome creation.

Another great cache - all in working order, lock is a little worn, might need to keep an eye on it’s health. TFTH!
Came to the park today to pick up some challenge caches and the gadget caches. A quick find, got it correct first time but took a few tries as we hadn't come across this type of lock before. Have a favourite point.

Got this one sorted fairly quickly. Messed up the measurements for width, so had to do it twice. An inventive cache and I had no issues with the lock, until I had to close it - being a lefty I always end up setting these things on backwards.
With a new cache challenge upon us we were looking for an area which had caches with a high number of favourite points. We initially selected an area down the Peninsula but then came across this series. We had never done gadget caches before so thought we would go and have a look. Must admit I was a bit worried about being able to work them out and how long they would take however all was good.
This one opened on the second attempt. TFTC

Great views over the suburbs. Got the lock but lost my pen in transit. A fine journey, though
Wow! Another brilliant cache! - although I think Mr Team GBS must have another profession on the side as he got into this one so quickly it had me wondering! We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and another favourite point awarded. Greetings from Zimbabwe
This was our second cache for the day. After scrambling up the hill (there was probably a simpler path from a different angle ), we found the target without too much trouble. After a couple of mis-measurements, we eventually got the right "combination" and the log was quickly signed.

Thanks for your efforts. Smiles all round.
On to the next. Uphill not my best suit but will give it a go.

After a couple of false starts we finally managed to coordinate a weekend with Betty Boo and Robmc for some caching. Yesterday we tackled the handbags, today it was the balls. We had heard that this was a terrific series and in danger of disappearing so we headed out to the other side of town.
It is indeed a terrific series and I hope they do stick around - more fun than mint tins in trees, that's for sure. We managed to get the right order for the combination first off - some small indecision when there was "a half."
Thanks for the fun paultheball

#15260. Out with Robmc and The Morris on a smoky Saturday morning. What a fantastic group of caches and worth the long hike around the park gathering up the smilies. A favourite point for each one in the series.
Having a lot of fun arriving at GZ and working out what is needed. It is always a relief when the lock opens and we can access the cache.
Thanks paultheball

Out for the day with BettyBoo3747and all of The Morris.
We spent the day at Lysterfield/Churchill parks, fairly smoky, but no fires in this area.
A nice mild day for a stroll in the parks.
The kiddies were having a bit of trouble getting up the last part to GZ, but they eventually made it!
With the special tool employed we had some answers for the combination, and were soon signing the logbook.
Thanks, Robmc.

We did measure up to the requirements of this cache, did some twirling and twisting and after a couple of 'practice' runs, we were able to get our hands on the object of desire. And I do know clockwise from anticlockwise, even though I stuffed up a couple of times.
Out with BoabTree, we planned the day to start with the gadget series in Lysterfield Park.
We quickly worked out what was needed, and were soon signing the log, having mastered the combination lock. Thanks paultheball.

Grub62 had seen this group of gadget caches so we are on a mission to complete them. Steep hill tracks plus some bush bashing are not easy for older overweight unfit geocachers like myself but I love a gadget cache so I struggled to keep up with Grub62. Making it eventially to GZ we found a well construced and thought out cache. Well done paultheball. When we arrived at GZ we found this cache muggled, so we were able to make an easy entrance to the log. A bit disappointing actually. TFTC paultheball.
As previously mentioned someone has unscrewed to entry flap. Grub62 is sending photos. I didn't have any screws to repair this cache so you may have to make a visit to fix it. Such a shame for another well thought out and constructed cache.
Having heard that Hotline was soon to be decommissioned Bunadoorian and I ventured out to find the gadget caches today. Was sad to find this one tampered with. - as we had taken the tape measure to help us work this out. Log signed and returned. TFTC paultheball. Find 5 of 8 today.
Nice, easy find. Unfortunately the door has come off its hinges so you can open it without touching the lock. Fave point for the effort. TFTC
We were in the area with the primary goal of grabbing a cache that is about to be archived and was something a little bit special. So of course while here we thought we would try and make a dent in the area and add a few smileys to our map.
Ausfox; was onto exactly what to do here and was into it quick smart. It wasn't very long before our names were in the log book. Simple yet effective.
Thank you paultheball for yet another well thought out cache

Needing a reasonable easy day because of a knee injury, a walk around Churchhill park with Simsfamily and Neville devil seemed like a good idea, but with many more ups and downs than expected I spent the day in pain, but It was well worth it with a variety of Great caches around the area.
This was a simple but well thought out hide with great directions.
Log signed and replaced as found.

A very simple and great puzzle cache! Loving the series so far, it is awesome! Thank you for the cache!
Before we started scrambling up here, we were greeted by a hoppy family having afternoon tea. Your secret is safe with them!
Sometimes we think IKEA should be recognised as an official geocaching sponsor. We have seen so many of their pencils re-purposed in caches. And the vulture carries one of their little measuring tapes in his wallet. It has been useful before, and here it got deployed again.
V now knows how to undo S's nemesis locks, phew! So, it did not take us long to sign another gadget cache in this park, to leave a FP. Thank you for this great series!

Found at 1:57 PM GAFF1.
After the failure at the Alien cache, this cache thankfully opened up first go. However for a while I was concerned that I had to use my GPSr to measure the lengths

Number 7? Think I might have confused my logging with Measuring Up. For that one I looked at the attributes and headed North to sign the log before discovering the tool to the South. Lots of fun both ways!

This was another awesome idea and so well executed. I really enjoyed working it out and finding the log. It was really handy to have the instructions on how to open the combination lock, as I have never actually used one before. I probably would have come a cropper without them. Happy to say another favourite point for this wonderful container.
Thanks to paultheball.

My monthly RDO saw me today doing a solo trip through Churchill Park, Lysterfield, Belgrave and the Dandenongs.
Ok! What is next for me...after a short ride up the hill. This looks easy enough...yep and yep...ah! AHHH...Another tumbler!!! This one didn't take as long, however I clearly didn't have it down pat and chewed up a stack of time till I got it. I was actually ready to pull the pin on Churchhill after that, conceding the time and stress on the tumblers wasn't worth it. However luckily that was the last and the others were absolutely amazing!

We finally got into this one after a number of failed attempts, which I admit was entirely all my fault. Luckily ilukaperi was onto my inaccuracies and worked it out for herself while I spectated...
I worked out how to do this one pretty quick, except when I was trying to open the lock day1976 gave me the wrong numbers so we had to get the measurements again
Found by Mary & David at 1455. Getting the numbers here was relatively easy. However, even though the engineer is quite familiar with these locks, cold fingers were still having a negative effect, and it took a couple of attempts before we had the log in hand. A FP again. Our thanks to paultheball.
**This was 1 of 22 caches that was found by me on the 6th of 16 caching days here in Australia. Which also was the 43rd of 75 days that my travels thru southeast Asia and Oceania would last.**
*Together with Ingabo, jsson and Sivun I would spend 16 days in Australia. Our journey started in Melbourne and ended in Sydney. After that I continued to New Zealand while the others headed back towards Melbourne.*
*All in all I did manage to find 263 caches, 9 types, 3 new months and many more statistical fillers.*

TFTC! Found on an afternoon caching with mrx2 and diablo1234. I had found a couple in the series a few weeks ago but wanted to bring the other two along to find some more as they were so fun! Quick, good puzzle to unlock this one!
For our 4th one for the day, this one was a little more straightforward than the last. It took us a little while to figure out the mechanism, but in the end we prevailed in retrieving the log. TFTC!
Sinornithosaurus, AaronFilms and I spent the day walking and exploring around Lysterfield and completed several of the caches in the area. All in all, the day provided great weather and an amazing day out in the wilderness... we even managed to see some kangaroos and lizards which was a nice surprise too! We found some really awesome and creative caches, thanks to all the CO's for placing these caches ) #426

Approaching my 700th find I had need to be close to Churchill Park today so decided to celebrate by visiting some of the much talked about series there. I have run a few cross country races here so am aware of the steepness here and views. So any of the 4 I solved and logged today can be my no 700th - this one was a fairly straightforward one but the concept again was great. Thinking outside the box , I soon had the required information and the log was revealed- thanks paultheball for these caches.
this one was good fun and great views again and lots of kangaroos

Passed a cyclist on the way here who a bit later followed me up the hill (!) to see what I was up to. Got to GZ, did the necessary, and opened the lock. Nice one.
What a wonderful day here in this lovely park newly visited to do this series with my daughter and grandchildren. We now know never to know what sort of challenge is coming next with this group of caches by paultheball. We followed the main path mostly and then the cross country. Quick find again but now what to do????? It was quick one this time its seems to getting easier. It gets a favourite from us all. Are in the padlock business?? Thanks for the cache paultheball
I walked around in circles trying to find this cache - clearly the GPS was having a bit of an off moment. It didn't take to long to obtain the information needed, though the combination lock was causing a bit of a challenge! Took a few goes to open the cache and retrieve the log. TFTC
On a sunny winter's morning, we found ourselves with a few hours to spare and decided that this would be a lovely series to tackle.

What a walk! Saw so many roos and a rather stinky dead fox but made it eventually and cracked the code... Definitely like it attached to the box!
Can't wait to get back to work out the other ones. It's dusk now so it's getting a bit dark for my liking.
Thank you for a great cache.

I had wanted to wander in the Churchill National Park for a little while to find a few caches here. It was a long way around the circuit with some varying sites including some great woodlands, massive ugly power lines, plenty of roos and a few rainbow lorikeets.
I wandered down a little and walked within meters of this one wondering where it was lol. Ha, how did I miss that the first time. I was taught to measure twice, cut once but that didn't work here for me today. I know these locks well, I used one for many years so I measured and finally was able to get into this cache.

An afternoon of caching with the kids and they’ve enjoyed this as much as we have...with minimum whining so you know it’s good! Best series of caches. We are appreciating all the effort and ingenuity PaultheBall put into making this series.
