Setting off from Melbourne for Kings birthday long weekend 24, the plan was to head north to escape Melbournes cold. Day 2 after finding a nice spot to camp on the Murumbidgee river, it was time to tick off some caches in the areaNice easy find tftc
#5915.
I got off from work a little earlier today and we decided to take a country drive on a sweltering hot day. We were really thankful for the invention of the air conditioning system today. We really enjoyed the scenery which is still pretty green thanks to the rainy summer we are experiencing.
We took notice of the previous logs and searched about 6m from where the GPSr pointed. This helped us to have the cache in hand pretty quickly. TFTC!

After dropping off some steel frames for galvanising in Gundagai, I took a drive in the country side to collect some caches.
Not too long to find, but my GPS must have been out by about 6m.
Thanks for the cache, ozpirate!

Stopped to do this cache while travelling through this area with ilook4geo. There was no problem in locating the cache after looking around and the log was duly signed with both names before all was carefully put back into place. Thanks go to ozpirate for placing this cache.
Log a little ratty and damp but surviving. Local farmer been cutting grass and all gates are open. Sun gone now.
Day two of my journey of collecting caches and the original plan was to collect a few around Yass and then head to Tumut (via Gundagai) and do a lot more there, but I enjoyed the ones I started that I spent a lot more time around the former town. Had very little luck in Gundagai (it was tourist central) and had quite a few DNFs (or did not stops) but still cracked 50 for the day (all trads as I had no luck on multis today).
Down a back road - had been this way before - to Gundagai to get a couple of caches. This was the first, and took a lot of grass stomping along the fence to find the expected cache. Must have past it three times before I got it.

With a free day and a new Geocaching promotion to collect some souvenirs, I decided on taking the trip out to Gundagai and cleanup the area for both GC and GCA. I started by finding some caches out the behind Gundagai which were along a nice scenic road across the countryside. Next I headed into town to avenge a few DNF’s and then to ‘Hungry Jacks’ for lunch. Afterwards, I headed into the main part of town and collected the rest in town. There were many great history lessons, that I enjoyed learning about along my travels today. I next headed to out to ‘Dog on the Tucker Box’ to find the one I missed last time I was here. I also bought a hat to add to my hat collection. To finish off and before heading home, I found a couple of caches in Coolac. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s for placing and maintaining the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring joy to me and others. TFTC’s
Today’s Totals:
17 GC Finds
7 GCA Finds
1 DNF
This one was next. When I arrived at GZ I knew what it had to be and after a shortish search I made the find about 10 metres out from my GZ. TFTC

Today was going to be a nice little loop around the back roads but ended up being just a small day interupted by rain. We headed out and started real well finding 8 traditionals and not finding a further 2. Today this was number 7 of our 8 finds.
Thanks ozpirate for yet another great place to stop and cache.
Grand Cache count = 705 total consisting of 672 Traditionals, 18 Multi, 6 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual and 3 Event.

We have never taken this back road to Tumut so thought today we would, easy drive, very scenic drive, easy find.
A bit over 2hrs from home and my first cache of the day. A lovely part of the world - so many white butterflies around plus a lot of machinery activity in the paddocks. Harvesting - but not sure what. Thanks for ringing me to this part of the bush.
Geofriend, Whitepaws9 and I drive around to NSW country and Vic country for 1-2 weeks.. Beautiful good weather....Thanks

It had been a while since myself and the FurfacesLL ladies had got out and about caching and with the busy weeks we have had, it was time for a break and a reset moment. We decided on a day trip out to Tumut and Batlow to pick up some newer caches, revenge some DNF's and visit a new area (for me anyway) We had a blast of a day with MANY adventures on a very wet and slippery day, found a nice number of caches, unfortunately some logs were quite wet so we scribbled on them the best we could. Apologies for the generic logs.
No issues with the find, keeping FFLL focussed on the driving and not kidnapping the little lambs on the other hand, not so easy
Thanks heaps to FurfacesLL for another awesome day away, thanks ozpirate for the cache placement [^]

After some way too busy days/weeks at work it was time to get out and about regardless of the weather and blow some caching cobwebs away.
So Rapidlywild and I headed off to Tumut and Batlow to clean up some new caches there and try and get ones that we had previously DNF'ed.
Lots of laughs today and some very hairy moments. But had a successful day out and about.
Lots of baby lambs on the way to this one. So cute! Quick find at this one.
TFTC ozpirate and thanks to Rapidlywild for another great day.

Weekend around NSW August 2017. After delaying my trip due to rain I headed off on Friday morning. The main part of today was spent heading to Tumut and beyond, all in light rain. At least the day started off with some good finds.
Thanks.
