Were back at Fern Glade today for another caching trip, as all caches in this area have been replaced since our last time here. This one took a bit of a hunt as the coordinates werent that accurate, but we found it in the end! Great to finally find a cache that eluded us in the past. TFTC dead-man-walking!
A quick find whilst enjoying walk in the area. TFTCCheers,The Hancock Clan
Didnt find. Another geocacher in the area who had found it before confirmed missing.
Tasmania Trip Day 4. My first full day in Tasmania was based out of Burnie. I did a few caches around own before it got too busy and then expanded the area to caches in the Burnie Region. Once I had done that for half the day, I headed a bit further west to get my next county. I enjoyed visiting Wynyard and the Table Cape area, even if it was fogged in. Did I say it was supposed to be a heat wave ? They are warning for one, but I got quite wet at times today. I headed back to Burnie for another quiet night trying to do some logging. I ventured up into the fern glade area, and had mixed success. It is a great area, but it is not a good gps area. Plenty of people walking about, but none of us saw any platypus today. Although the gps was firmly in the shed, I scouted around for stumps and found a few, but no caches for me today. Thanks.Albida
Today we moved camps from Sulphur Creek to Cooee Point. Back into Burnie for some caching. Weather much nicer today after a grey couple of days. We had a lovely day walking along the Paper Trail, visiting Guide Falls with picnic lunch and then to Fern Glade for a big walk. Great day out with geocaching as our guide.A bit grubby locating this one TFTC
Stopped at Fern Glade on the way back from Guide Falls. Unfortunately we didn't see any platypuses but did find some geocaches to make up for it. A quick find, thanks for the cache.
Easy find with Geo Maggie. Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook page. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Good find on a great autumn day while wasting time before an appointment in Burnie
Nice quick find
Earthlight had it before I had got out the car
Tftc great area to visit

Tftc great area to visit
Found it, lots of rubbish up there in the bush so lots of things to get mistaken for.
Tftc, found alright, cache was bit rough, log was fairly dry, signed and nestled safely back in its hidey hole.
Out and about in the area collecting caches and this was one we found. A great day to be out and about. Coords 9 m out but found with aid of hint. Log is wet. TFTC

Out for a little walk along the river grabbing a few caches! Very lovely day today and much colder down by the river on todays hot day!
Unfortunately no platypus seen today.
Cache was very wet but log was still dry in its bag.
