A nice quiet spot at gz and a cleverly themed cache container. Thanks for the cache Team HurriKane.
While collecting information for the nearby Multi I set out to find this cache, coordinates took me straight to a novel cache cleverly hidden, but not difficult to get in to. Im giving it a favourite point. Thanks for the fun and enticing us a lovely little park.
Well, that was much easier than I thought it would be. Another day marked off my caching calendar. TF placing
**Barking Up The Wrong Tree**After spending a morning helping out Hume Council and Geocaching Victoria to plant grasses and shrubs, I thought Id venture around Sunbury grabbing some more caches. This was a nice little find in a quiet corner overlooking the pond. Well I think theres a pond in there?!?? I didnt see any black labs (well, maybe one) or hear any splashes, so no pooches needed a swim or a wash I guess. Thanks HurriKane for placing this cache for us to find and enjoy. Lovely! Just a word of warning the container is full of ants with the recent rain (of the bitey variety). Maybe do this one when it's a little drier.
AusFox and I decided to meet up and cache the area to collect a bunch of Adlabs, trads and multis. The temperature was sitting at a nice 35 degrees but that didn't stop us... Just slowed us down a little :pWoof woof!! Nice hide you have here. Thanks for placing for us all to enjoy A wise man once said "Do whatever sprinkles your Donut"
The previous day Donutholes notified me that he had a day free. So we made plans the following day to grab a few caches around Sunbury.Who knew it was going to be 36, but it added to the days caching entertainment.A great cache hide.Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the traditional cache Team Hurrikane #7,750

Last one for the day and a neat way to finish. Cache was found without issue and the log signed. The back to the car and I was heading home.
Thanks Team HurriKane...cache all good. Fav point added.

Back up to Sunbury this afternoon to hopefully get my geocaching mojo back on track as apart from the Mega I haven’t been out to much as work has gotten in the way of to many things.
It has been awhile since I have been up this way and quite a few green dots have appeared on my map since then so time to rectify that as well.
In this area to do this one and the multi and I picked this one first.
Made my way to GZ and soon came across the cache.
That was definitely not what I was thinking or expecting when I came across the tree.
A clever and great idea.
A fav goes out to you for this one.
Thanks Team Hurricane TFTC.

Was walking past and dropped in to visit. Elastic is a little less elastic now. Otherwise all good.
In town with Rebel Acts to put some smiles on the map, haven’t been to Sunbury in years.
I’m sure there was a point some time ago when I had all the caches around here, but it’s great to see so many new ones out.
Had a great day with heaps of laughter and caching fun, cheers for the cache

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. We decided to head over to Sunbury to do the new Adventure tabs and a few caches in the area. It’s hard to believe the last time I was here was in 2014 some eight years ago and it must be thirteen years ago that I saw Team Ladava when they came to Warburton to help set up a cache for me, that cache is still in play.
This is one of the caches found today. I really loved this cache, Fav from me
Thanks Team HurriKane for the cache.

Taking the GeoSister / Sister - in - law back to Sunbury train station to catch the train back to Bendigo and as we had a bit of time to kill we stopped by this park to find the cache. As there was a picnic table not far from GZ we even ate our picnic lunch and had a cuppa while we were here. As the co-ordinates were spot on we were able to make a quick easy find of this well constructed cache. TFTC and bringing us to this tranquil park. A favourite from us.
Out and about with Echidna44, it did not take long to find this cache. The container is super cute. The cache name says it all.
We had a day in the Sunbury area caching and lunching with BoabTree and muggle husbands.
What a gorgeous play on words. A great cache, and favourite point. Thanks Team HurriKane

What a clever cache. Well done to you. Luckily I wasn’t barking up the wrong tree and found this one quickly. TFTC
Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 9: We went to Sunbury for the afternoon
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. We made a detour via Geelong and picked up Bushfire. It had been three years since we last all cached together. [^] Today we set out for Sunbury for the afternoon with a pub meal at the local pub. Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
Couldn't really miss this one.
***Thanks Team HurriKane for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Quick find , but unfortunately it was because it was on the ground not hidden. I place it where it may have been previously tho. Tftc
TFTC, great camo! A quick and easy find. A couple of people here but all were reading and not interested in us!
Had lunch close by and couldn't resist this one. Can see how you blew something up! Gets a fav
Rather interesting at night. Very nice craftsmanship. Had a giggle at the pun. TFTC.
I had to take a 3 hour drive today to see a specialist in Sunbury so before I drove home again thought I’d get my daily exercise around town. Soon made a find here and a cleverly constructed one it is too. My dogs too would love to swim here, but at the moment it is very overgrown TFTC
Decided to bike ride for some daily exercise and chat with a mate through his front window,
Ended with a cache find!
Nice one!

With our gameboard now extended to include regional Vic, RoamingHowie and I decided to go explore the Sunbury & Riddells Creek area.
While I was scouring around at ground level, RH spotted this nearly straight away.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Team HurriKane

Now that travel restrictions have been lifted it is time to venture out into the countryside again. Out and about targeting some caches and adventure labs that have been on the list for a while.
A cool cache at GZ cleverly created. Found this soon after arriving and signed the log.
Thanks Team HurriKane for the cache.

All is fine. The wrong one has disappeared but the right one is still there
Out for another ladies day with xambo4u finishing off some more in the Sunbury area. The weather was far from helpful as it seemed to rain every time we left the car for a little walk. However our day was still enjoyable and we located a variety of caches. Searched for a while but no luck here.
Out and about for a ladies caching day clearing out some caches to our north. Very bitter cold day but at least we can get out. This one was not on the list but hay we are here. We had done close by and a short walk for this DNF. We are finding our machines are changing their minds all the time in Sunbury so getting a solid GZ hard. Which tree is the wrong one. Gave it a good look and then moved on. We are back soon to clear out some more. Enjoying your work Team HurrieKane, maybe we will be luckier next time
Works delayed by the pandemic but look to be almost ready to go... a bit of clearing and we should be back in action shortly
Cute cache hide. Quick find late in the day. Thanks for the cache Team HurriKane.
An easy find that brought a smile to our faces and delighted our geodog!!!

Today I decided that I would head towards Sunbury as for some reason I haven't cached there yet. A quick find at the GZ. TNLN. TFTC.
Pretty slippery here after all the rain we have had. But awesome find.. thank you
I thought i found it on the 1st one then turned around and found the real one. Good fun
Another nice little location had never been too. Minus the rubbish and bong floating about - Sunbury hasn't changed that much in some ways! Spent quiet some time here diving through the bushes till I spotted something tucked in deep in the foliage- gotcha! Nice theme here, thanks Team Hurrikane
8202 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1245. The first of your hides so we could get the gizz. A great hide with lots of potential to sit and listen to the honeyeaters and the frogs. SL Tnx Team HurriKane
Out for a day geocaching with the wife and geo-dog. The brown dog found the black dog for a fairly easy find today. Nice interesting cache. Woof!!
Normally if we find a free day for caching we make a trip of it to another area but today we found a couple of hours between mowing the lawn and going to see the grandkids in Geelong tomorrow so headed out for a few local finds.
What a fun cache. Of course, I barked up the wrong tree first but that was part of the fun.
Love your work Team HurriKane. Very creative.
Definitely a favourite point from Team Ladava

Fixed up 'the wrong one', all is fine otherwise...
Not enough people come through here for cacher love to be a problem... hopefully on the whole, most cachers take care around the natural vegetation.

Like others I spent a little time barking up the wrong tree or should I say two wrong trees before discovering the required item. I imagine the area has some life left in it but over time I think cacher love will prove a little too challenge for the natural vegetation. Worth keeping an eye on...
After a family visit to Sunbury and the awesome climb to log the hide in Mt Holden we decided to do some extra stops in the way to the sister's house.
Unfortunately the pen we had must have walked off so could not sign the log.

Lucky for me this was a quick find. Very impressed with this unique cache container. Not sure if it's in it's correct position. I replaced it as found. Plenty of Barking Frogs near by. Nice place for a cache.

Very good! Barked up many wrong trees, but eventually found the right one, only to then find the wrong one!
I found the wrong this at first but encouraged by this I soon found the right one. There is a bird nest near GZ with some eggs in it.

Caching around Sunbury, ticked all the boxes for a great day out. Trads, multis and mysterys, all with high quality, well maintained hides - the perfect place if you wanted to introduce a new player to the game. Informative cache pages, gave us insight into the history and quirky tales of the area.
A FP for this fun hide.
Thanks Team HurriKane for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.
