16 November 2024 09:38 dalerious and I grabbed Winston whilst we were in the area doing the adlab and bonus cache.Winston was located and signed and we were both on our way on such a lovely day.Thank you vividrogers for the cache.
Found with catnap777 16 November 2024 10:00amOur weekend was based around hunting down a new Georig. We checked out a couple of car yards, and went for a couple of test drives, but walked away empty handed and went Geocaching instead. Its funny how some caches you can spend hours trying to find but others......Despite the heavy camo on this one, we saw it from ten meters away, and yet, despite the multitudes of people that pass here regularly, it was in perfect condition. All up a wonderful place to explore. [^]TFTC vividrogers.
I scoped this cache out when in the area previously picking up another cache. Needing a cache for the day I come by here after work on the bike for an easy find.
Have tried to find this a few times without success. Decided that since it had been cleared, was worth another try. Dad found it straight away! No pen - as we werent planning on caching, but photo of the log attached & will sign when we are next going past.
After attending a CITO at Coburg Lake this morning, Tiz13 and I headed down the Merri Creek collecting caches along the way. This was but one of our finds today. Rabbitto had now joined us for the southerly traverse along the Merri Creek Trail. Thanks vividrogers for placing this traditional cache, enhancing the game board and adding to our enjoyment.
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #23 - a 30,000 step walk along Merri Creek from Coburg to Fitzroy followed by a walk around the Docklands. This cache was in company of micaparamedic and Tiz13. Once at GZ, we all spread a little from the starting point and the little cache was soon spotted. Thanks from D B-A
Today l teamed up with Micaparamedic and Rabbitto after the nearby CITo for some catching shenanigans with a Merri walk ...this was one of the caches we located and signed along the way
Spent much time searching in the wrong place due to a wandering GPS. In the end applied some geosenses and found it quickly. Neat camo. TFTC
LeeLee was out today with her bestie (muggle for now) for a walk. Of course a geo had to be found. We enjoyed our time wandering around here. Muggle also signed as FIFIFoole. Thanks vividrogers for creating for us all to enjoy. Nice camo. Cache in good condition. --------------------------------------------------------The nominees for the [**2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/2023-victorian-cache-of-the-year-awards/) have been announced. Super cute cache! A bit tricky to find but I persevered and found it eventually Thanks for a great cache
Co-ords had me in a different spot but expanded the search grid and spotted it pretty quickly. Tftc and now have 366 finds for each day of the year.
A few muggles around at this one. My gps was a little off but with my trusted partner on the phone yapping away, I may off ignored him for a wee bit so that I could concentrate. I eventually had the cache in hand. TFTC
Con NitiFlex faremo parecchi km camminando, altri km in monopattino, quasi sempre in parchi e percorrendo una zona residenziale, posti tranquilli e ben tenuti.Saluti dall'ItaliaTFTC

Found at 14:41Out this afternoon for a walk and a couple of caches. It took a minute for the phone to settle but then was an easy find. Thanks vividrogers for the cache
The coordinates had us in the wrong place but geo-son quickly broaden the search and found it! TFTC
I needed a nearby cache so this was to be it. I had read the previous finder reports of an AWOL log so I took a spare with me just in case. I started to look where my GoS was sending me, however it seemed like an odd place to be in behind the fence. I reset my position and tried again. This could potentially be anywhere.I took another look for a hint from previous finders and noticed the need ti expand my radius. I expanded it by about 10m when I spotted the cache from a distance.Sure enough it was empty, so I have added a new log to. Thanks vividrogers for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. Found after 2 or 3 gos. I saw a comment regarding a doggy poo bag and used that as a POI. They were talking about a different one, however. No pen, so please accept this photo as proof of find. TFTC
Looked for about 20 mins. Given hints the co-ordinates are not correct, at the end of a day, it stopped being fun, As Winston said, I shall return: David
After (too many) attempts to find this sneaky little hide have FINALLY done it. Beware the navigation won’t take u directly there - widen ur search a few metres!
We've looked for this one a few times with no luck. Today was no exception. It's very overgrown at the moment - not sure if that's a hindrance
One thing helps with caching.
Geotrails! Especially in the burbs where they are well trodden. Having said that still, not an easy find! Wasn't sure about the log protection, hesitant to open! However a beautiful spot for a cache.

The log was a bit wet. A great container well hidden. The boys found it after about 5 mins
Tricky little hide as GZ was a little off. Previous log with photo was a great help! Nice walk along Merri Creek to get here on a lovely Sunday arvo. TFTC
A bit of a struggle to get to it but found and logged. Tftc. Enjoyed a lovely walk around Ceres too.
Avenging a previous DNF Mizzone made a quick find today! Found with Mizzone, Mountainmik on a ride to CERES
Nice cammo that took a little time to spot.
Thanks to vividrogers for the placement and fun.

The coordinates seem a little off but well camouflaged and found with help of spoiler photo below
One of our new geocacher mistook it for something that connected to the fence. It was very well camouflaged. TFTC
After a very pleasant visit to CERES, the geokids and I hit the trails for this one. We searched for a little while before my eldest called out “I’ve found it” from a well hidden position. SL TFTC.
Had a quick search but then it started to rain.
Will have to come back another time.

GPS had me next to the path on the wrong side. Cache partner went round and used her cache senses for a quick find. I would have been ages!
An easy find (after reading some of the notes). Lovely for an evening stroll. Thanks!
Coords put us on the wrong side of the area, but we widened our search and Snivelbert soon spotted the cache and went in for retrieval. TFTC!
This was hidden by works for a little while but I checked and it is available to be found now
Every time I get a notification for a find, it makes me feel anxious about exposure to viruses and people moving around outside of the four given reasons for doing so. Geocaching isn't exercising, you are quite sedentary while searching. I will not reactivate these till this is all over.
I was in the area today and still needed my daily exercise and cache. So I could have a long walk I parked in Lee St outside the entrance to Ceres and then walked through Ceres to the Merri Creek trail. I then had a lovely stroll along the trail with all the muggles who were out exercising on this sunny afternoon. When I was about 30 metres from the cache I headed overland to GZ. I noticed the geotrail as I approached GZ so I followed it and quickly found the cache.
Unfortunately the lid of the cache was lying on the ground so the container had water in it from the recent rain. Thanks to the snap-lock bag the log was slightly damp but OK to sign. I signed the log at 5:00 pm and then tipped everything out of the container, dried everything with some tissues and then put everything back in the container. TNLN. Even though the cache hadn't been found for a couple of months I still used hand sanitiser after finding the cache to stay safe. I then headed back to my car.
Thanks vividrogers for the well-hidden cache and for bringing me to this lovely section of the Merri Creek trail.

A quick find, pretty good size for a park like this. On the quest for 700! SL TFTC
Interesting to see the golf course from this angle for once, and I found a ball to boot !
(That’s quite a slice!).
My gps was off a bit, but 5 mins of digging around and I had it. Love the camo!

A bright sunny afternoon. Bridge works quiet, a few dog walkers on the loose. TFTC
Cycled into the area chasing some Parkville Mega caches before they are archived, and noticed this cache along the track. Of course a stop was called for. Found easily with very accurate co-ords.
I often hear of Winston 'with a Y', but that Wynston is irritating. This Winston 'with an I' is much better .
Thanks vividrgers.

Arrived here to find that there are lots of guys working on putting a footbridge across here. We were able to get the cache, we thought, without being noticed. We walked along the track and found another couple of caches and when we returned, one of the workmen approached us and asked what we had been looking for in the bushes. Was it some sort of fruit or maybe an insect or animal? We explained caching and showed him quickly how it is done. He was very keen and immediately looked it up on his phone. Said he will look into it. Maybe a convert. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
I have been slowly collecting these Parkville Puzzles and Challenges in the area since the first day they were released. Today was time to collect these ones, and a few others
I had this GPS about 7 meters off when I finally found the geocache. Maybe because of the power lines. It did mean I had to search thru some nice smelling ground cover before getting to the right location.
Thanks for the cache Vivid Rogers
