Me and my five-year-old scoured the area and even tried taking the title literally and looking not at the park bench, but this one eluded us in our New Zealand travels! Thanks for making us think beautiful area

In the area with Reschedule knocking out caches we keep driving past and not going for. As we walked down the hill we quickly saw something that stood out. Nicely hidden in plain sight

Out on a day mission with Kiwi Does Stuff. The first of the caches in this park and we had approached GZ, a Quick Look underneath and the obvious was hiding in plain sight! Very nice hide, TFTC!

I heade to Tauranga with the intention of soaking in hot pools and doing some geocaching. The hot pools were closed for the day so geocaching it was. I puzzled for a few seconds over this one but saw something suspicious and sure enough soon had the cache in hand. The third cache i hunted for totally eluded me then my navigation system on my phone failed me and wouldnt load. Rather than getting lost in unfamiliar territory i traced my way back to the main road and headed over the kaimais back home. Not my most successful geocaching adventure. Thankyou for bringing me to this park. I enjoyed the walk. The voodo tramp, team Datt and going geocaching 217 visited this cache.

We found it but (Wednesday 11th of October 2023) the cache was found and not replaced with the hidden compartment left lying on the floor.

Working in Whakatane this month. Had the day free and as the rain has stopped it was off for some caching in Tauranga. Never been to this reserve before and enjoyed the walk and collecting its three caches. Had noticed several DNFs and thought I might slit this one but glad I didn’t. Great hide and happy to add another favourite point. So simple but effective. Thanks for the smiley.

Got there just as it was getting dark, phone torches didn’t help! We’ll be back!

Third time back to this site and finally found it! Such a creative hide.

After a feed stop for our baby near the bridge of dog memoriam, we came to this park bench. This one is easier to access if you park nearby and hate stairs! The cache took a bit of finding, this one, but eventually we realised not is all it seems. The object of our attention did not want to be set free without a fight. We think the bad weather of late had an effect. But we eventually persuaded it, and soon had the cache in hand. A great hiding place, and a favourite point from us. TFTC

Nice to find a new clear log paper. However retrieval of the cache was very challenging. A brilliant hide but I wonder if expansion of wood has made the intended retrieval method impossible. Or you just need really small fingers.

Never been to this reserve before but an impromptu picnic lunch found us here. Knowing there were a few caches here I looked on my phone and what do you know we were sitting right on it! With only GPS co ords to go off it was still a nice quick find. Thanks
