Logs
Here for a few mins and was about to give up. On route back to the tron after being in the naki for the garden festival
Replaced with a camoed pill bottle - hanging about knee height in the corner tree
Thanks for the find! 2nd time here to find the replacement, so get to turn it to a smile now
The cache here was a quick find but the bloke who we came across was hilarious. He was highly entertained that we would play this game finding stuff in gardens with GPS., and more so we would spend petrol traveling to do so
I think we had more fun with the local resident (in a car) than we did finding the cache.
Replaced with permission until CO can rectify. Mint time with log, base of hinted item
Was keen for a find here and a healthy yield of prior FPs was promising. Alas the recent DNFs are true so messaged CO and he sanctioned a temporary replacement. Blue mint tin, base of PittyTook Friday off for travel as Im heading up into Taranaki for a couple of days out New Plymouth way. The last few times Ive visited Ive been time poor and have done Bulls- NP-Bulls in an extended driving day and been dead beat when I got back. This time I gave somewhere to stay so can enjoy my journey there, my time there, and the trip back. Also less pressure when searching and the Autumn weather is being kind too. Redeemed a couple of DNFs created a few more and had a nice time. Good to complete some Ad Lab series too and the Taranaki region COs are thanked for their hides and maintenance.
Looks like some gardening etc has been done, pretty sure we had correct location
A lot of history at this final resting place...an of course a cache. Thanks for the placement

A fantastic wall of all the families, ages and years of death. We spent a few minutes taking it all in and looking for the oldest resident – the youngest were all too apparent and quite sobering. The cache itself was a quick find, understanding the hint as we had plenty of these on our old property. TFTC

It was in place - not missing.
As one now needs a special tool to access where the cache was...
**I've moved it to the corner, behind a tree.**
Replaced full log. All good here now.

There has been a major working bee. I hope they didn't dispose of the cache with the weeds. I couldn't locate the suggested hint. Shame if the TB was still institu. Might be worth the CO checking this one.
Beautiful cemetery, sadly quite neglected, looked everywhere, could not find, tftc
Well placed! Logbook full.
Dropped off TB.
Nice one and I saw it already.
Thanks for setting it up.
I've found this cache during my second day of the Queen memorial weekend in Taranaki.

I have a link with Midhirst in that I did play one season of interclub tennis for the Midhirst Tennis Club. I believe today was the first time I had ever done any geocaching in Midhirst. On a frustrating day, I ran into problems here as well in the form of a couple of muggles having a good old chinwag very close to the cache site. I decided to see if I could wait it out by checking my emails. If I had thought of it at the time, it would have been a perfect opportunity to solve today's Wordle.
Eventually, one muggle drove off but I had to wait a bit longer for the other while she checked her phone. Once the coast was clear, I was able to make a quick find. The hint object was hidden from sight but I didn't know where it was supposed to be so I left things how I found it. Understandably, this has been a popular cache. So much so that the logsheet is essentially full although there are some blank spaces that can be used.
I dropped off the ChildOfAtom’s Sadness: DNF that began its journey in New South Wales and which I found in the Rangitikei region. I didn't think of the coincidence at the time but that cache was also placed by the same owner as this one and the hide type is remarkably similar.

Cool hide, and a great piece of history. Interesting reading the family names on the wall too. Looks like there was quite a community here. Tftc
Quick park and grab while in Midhirst for the day. Favorite from me. Thanks Phronimos for the cache.
Another dot day to clear so I checked on the route I was going to be driving today for interesting caches - the easiest to look for where large or regular caches. I spotted this regular cache just off track but with good parking and it seemed like it would be easy to find - as a bonus it had picked up a few FPs too.
Pulling up at GZ I could easily see GZ which was good as the weather was really bad today!
I signed the log in the car and left a TB.

A great weekend away with Team BOP. Lots of great caches and lots of fun. Thanks to all the COs. Caching sure takes us to some interesting places TFTC
A plan was hatched recently to hit the Naki area this long weekend. Nice to get away and grab a lot of our solved puzzles and ALs plus others along the way. Signed logs Team BoP to save room on log sheets. Nice hide.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Team BOP is back on the road this time heading to Taranaki with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else in between
Our current incarnation includes Davidson Clan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed the cache logs as ‘Team BOP’ to save time and log space. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the journey as most caches have been found quickly & without fuss thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placements.
I appreciate there’s a stigma attached to cut’n’paste logs like these so I’ll try to provide cache specific notes retrospectively when I get home. We do genuinely respect the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles, but with a numbers mission like this - the hides start to blur together unfortunately. So Cheers COs, TFTC and most importantly - thanks for bringing us here

TeamBOP are together again for the long weekend. Philip.Perry, McJandals,NZFlossy and myself are heading to New Plymouth and surrounding areas caching. Nice FP from me.
Made the detour out of town to find this one, what a surprise
Did not think I had the right took, but with a key in hand I soon had the cache container
Clever hide, and a cool way to celebrate a milestone
Thanks for the hide

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We had planned to have another crack at the PWGT trail this weekend. And just to make things interesting, Gap had work in Taranaki...
An early morning start to clear Gap's job, then it was down to caching business... This Midhurst hide was sitting lonely on the geomap and caught our attention. We arrived on site and cast an eye through the closed gates and over the names of those resting here (Didn't recognise anyone on the list). A quick find here and a nice hide - Thanks Phronimos and TFTC.

Glad we took the short diversion off the main road. A good spot, nice idea for the cache (although the clue numbers are the wrong way around, it was still a quick find). TFTC Phronimos, a fave.
Day 4 of a 10 day road trip round the bottom half of the North Island, and today it was New Plymouth to Owhango.
We weren’t going to go the Forgotten World Highway until it was mentioned to us by our hosts in N.P, so we did some research and thought that would be the way to go.
Pretty cool drive, would be frustrating in parts if you were stuck behind slow traffic, but we did not have that problem with a few regular cache stops. Whangamomona is a real treat of a town - great pub, and you get the feeling there is a great community spirit out here.
Really enjoyed it, great weather, and no problems with any caches, apart from adding some log paper. Thanks all COs.

Clue numbers not quite right but we got the idea. Lots of bugs here. Fav point for a clever cache. Tftc
We are on a ten day road trip to Taranaki, The Forgotten Highway, Taumaranui, Ohakune and back home to Palmy. Along the way will be sightseeing, short mountain walks, museum visits, a rail cart journey and, of course, geocaching. Day 4 - we’re now based in Stratford for four days and will make trips out from here.
The main aims for today were to visit North Egmont and also complete a few challenge caches. Despite some very heavy rain earlier we managed our trip in mixes of cloudiness, odd drizzly patches and sunshine, so once again were not badly impacted by the unsettled weather fortunately.
This was the final cache for the day as we returned to Stratford, which was just as well as the rain had finally caught up with us. We did need a tool, but Mr G had his pocket knife handy so that was soon remedied, the log quickly signed and all returned. Not a time to linger although Mrs G usually likes looking at old cemeteries. TFTC

Spending a few days away in the geocamper cleaning up caches in Taumaranui and Stratford and now on our way north back home. We took a slight detour to find this one and while we were finding and signing a new swanky sports car went zooming past. Five minutes later he roared back the other way doing about 160k. Wow, didn't even get a chance to figure out what it was. Some lovely snowdrops growing in the cemetery.
Thanks Phronimos.
Thanks Phronimos.
An amazing cemetry, great wander around with a snow clad mountain in the back. Found just as we where about to give up and leave.
A fairly quick find of this cache in its burial chamber. A nice hide which gets a favourite from us. TFTC
awoke this morning to rain then it stopped so off caching i will go nice place for a geocache
I think the number in the clue needs a bit of an edit.. but I found it easy enough anyway. The previous finder hadn't made it difficult for me to get to either thankfully! Picked up a trackable here and have taken it on the journey to the Waikato. This little keep is going to track some miles!
My first time doing this! Wasnt sure where to look at first but then found it. So neat! I cant wait to learn more about geocaching and get into it more.
(# 5683). A flying visit to Taranaki primarily to get the TMGT geotour caches. Day 2 was to drive from New Plymouth to Hawera then back on home directly. A quick find in a nicely constructed hide. Everything in order. TFTC
Called in to swap some TB but only seen the Elkhart TB and one other that wasn’t logged as being in this cache so I left Elkhart TB there and took the unlogged one and correctly logged this in my inventory and dropped in the Jeep 4x4
Another quiet resting place to explore. Got this one tagged now time to move on. Cheers.
Day 8 - Saturday 21 December. A long day from New Plymouth to Egmont, then Stratford and back to New Plymouth for a few well earned ZZZZs.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are spending Christmas exploring Taranaki via geocaching. Its been an amazing 3 week adventure. Rattls BBQ was a great event, meeting many other cachers. But also managed to fit in a few more events, especially New Years Day celebrating the start of 2020. Lots of caches - over 500. Lots of cache maintenance. Lots and lots of kilometers. And lots of amazing places visited along our journey. Mt Taranaki remained elusive for much of our travels and the caches on it at the top. Loved Pukekura Park Night Lights Show and the the Wooden Mechanical toy exhibition at NP Info centre.

Wow - a lot of trackables herre, so we swapped a bunch. Those I dropped off have already been collected.
Day eight of Taybeedragon's and my big 3 week circumnavicaching trip around Mt Taranaki, starting from Palmerston North. Today is up the mountain and Inglewood.
Highlights:
* 3 weeks, 536 caches
* Mt Taranaki had been removed for washing, which was a bit of a shame. Even after it had been returned we were only allowed to see it for it was less than half an hour a day.
* High percentage of caches with crappy coordinates
* Amazing Pukekura Park
* AMAZING Pukekura Park light show!
* Pukeiti Gardens
* Lots of cache maintenance!

Decided needed a mini holiday and made plans from coming back from UK mid year. I had picked an area of the country I have not visited before - New Plymouth. Once the Geotour had been published I had to change plans a bit to make sure I grab these along with caches I had marked as must get on the trip.
As a number of the geotour caches were down in Whanganui took a drive down grabbing caches on the way.
Dropped off 2 TBs.

On a road trip from New Plymouth to Wellington today, collecting as many Geo Tour caches as I can find.
A quick find here on my way to Ancient Pathways. Nice outer container.
Discovered a couple of trackables.

Up here for an awesome weekend jaunt with Team Gators, TheWanglers and Karma Reprint to do a loop of the mountain in 48 hours grabbing as many caches as we could while having a good laugh. Logs signed as some derivative of (KT)^2
Cheers Phronimos for the cache

A planned geocaching trip to the USA was shelved (but is all go for this time next year!) so we came up with a weekends Plan B. Taranaki with TheWanglers, KarmaReprint and KiwiMoose - logs signed (TK)^2 or a variation of. A really fun trip with the forecast rain and thunder seemingly always in the distance but never hindering us. A really fun weekend.
Arrived in New Plymouth; grabbed the rental and hit the road running - aiming for Hawera....
Loving the districts history (one cache at a time!). Cool hidey spot....love the detail, nicely done. Cheers!
